I come home after a tiring shift to what is quite possibly the most intentionally Bland And Healthy meal i've ever had
#white rice. unseasoned chicken. banana? apple? all smothered in a mix of single cream and salad cream#'its a salad' mother said with a nostalgic smile#a salad has Flavour and Texture mother#the most taste in this is the vingegar in the salad cream#also its purposefully cold#it all works together which is frankly stupid#but also my plate has been in the fridge for three hours so all the rice has stuck together#update: no thats just the way mom cooked the rice apparently 😭 how do you fuck up microwave rice 😭#i swear to gods if i ever have kids they're gonna know what paprika is before the age of 15#cannot believe i was raised on meals like this
