on today's episode of gɑys no one cares about but me is ultra rarepair jaime and ned.

i'm surprised people don't talk about these two more given that they're thematic foils, alongside the moral quandaries they both struggle with. like they're rivals™ (they actually hate e/o, with a good dose of ideological opposition sprinkled in), teeming with untapped potential to fulfil the carnal enemies blueprint. their whole first conversation is dripping in subtext (mostly informed by their tension).

the way jaime blocks him bodily cause he HAS to snark at him, jaime's eyes following ned even when he turns, the way their exchange has an undercurrent of innuendo (when i fight a man fr i don't want him to know what i can do — like wdym by that buddy? 🤨), the way jaime leans in, his admiration bubbling through his bravado, ned being SO over it & thusly wanting to avoid him [shifting as jaime gets under his skin] but being unable to disengage/being reeled regardless, ned's self assuredness & sheer intensity — bordering on domineering. just their really intense eyes. like hmmm. both of them are seconds away from porking each other idc.
