#i'm very interested in hearing more of your opinions about the indicators it didn't perform as well as they expected #as well as more about his marketing #tbh he absolutely needs a new marketing firm bc SJ PR literally doesn't do anything ever #other than bare min promo #and that's precisely the issue #his marketing is just the bare min #also in terms of image....who is advising him on that? anyone? doesn't seem like it #in terms of image i think both his projects are too similar so it's hard to sell the same thing twice #i know he doesn't want to but he has to play the game a bit more otherwise he'll fall behind :( #also prev about his team....yeah idk if they're that good business wise #and he needs to stop the lashing out#he's shooting himself in the foot #by driving away hardcore fans who've been there for him for 15 years - @daisiesonafield-blog
Gina, would you be surprised if with lt3 Louis goes mainstream? All the trendy twitter pop news sources are posting about him since probably aotv release on every occasion, and this could signify that his viral status is steadily increasing. In that case, would we expect him to change his approach to larry and larries? Imho, at this point it’ll only do him more harm than good lashing out at his fans while trying to establish himself as an independent artist. It did help him as a strategy to crawl the publicity ladder, but it’s not a good image to be remembered by by newer audiences. Wise approach would be to never talk about it ever like Harry did as he was establishing as an independent persona from the beginning. And given how much his core fandom has already been tired/annoyed/constantly on the watch for another shoe to drop for 2-3 years (even antis and solos say they don’t like the atmosphere now too)…yeah no, won’t be great.
If anyone here with the experience in media and pr can give any input, would be great too:)
I understand what you mean. It would seem to make very little sense to continuously lash out at a core part of your fan base to the point of losing a big chunk of them.
I’m not convinced that his “viral status” is actually a thing, though. From what I can tell, he’s lost a lot of listeners and followers. And, while some of that has to do with him just going dark for months between projects, I’m hesitant to say dropping LT3 is going to generate the same response FITF did. Hopefully I’m totally off-base, though.
PR and marketing people out there — anyone want to chime in?
