#i do not run in professional author circles and i've never been published by a big publishing house#and you still need like. one friend who's interacted with these publishing companies#to tell you how difficult it is to even get your foot in the door#the pettiness. this is an opportunity so many people want but can't have. that's already massive. believe in the quality of your work#i recognize i'm biased here because eventually i would like to get a book published professionally#even if i'm only at the start of my fiction career rn#i just know so many talented writers who still can't make a living off their art bc the publishing industry is so bad rn#ren speaks
