the "what came from the sea has returned to the sea" line in cross haunts me sometimes. you are a boy in a small fisher village. you are attacked by a panther and the only way for you to survive is to make the most ill-timed voyage. you do not reach the destination because of the weather but you find the only place that can save you. you grow. you almost drown. you grow again, your life is flipped on its head at the beach you almost died in. you run. you fall to the sea in a desperate attempt to survive. you keep running. you always seem to be in the right place, at the right time. you keep going. you are changed like the waves pulling in and out. you run some more, and find the piece you need at the bottom of the sea. you hear the song of the ones that come from it. you return to yourself in a gift given to you in a town at sea, a tear like a body of water that keeps haunting you, gives you what you need. everything starts and ends at the place where the waves keep pulling in and out. starts when you become a bad omen as she saves you. the sea gives you back your life. you return to it.
