I love domestic rodydeku...
Rody leaning his head on Deku's shoulder while talking about his day, Deku playing with Rody's hair when he gets bored, the two playfully bickering with each other which turns into wrestling (in which Deku beats Rody every time), Pino flying over to give Deku a peck on the cheek whenever Deku is about to leave before Rody can, talking about Rody's siblings as if they were their own children, Deku picking up Rody whenever he feels like it (which Rody stopped protesting against eventually), Rody constantly picking at Deku.
Just everyday occurrences between them <3

I've put a lot of thought into what the younger Soul siblings' Quirks must be, since Roro at the very least is old enough to have manifested one by now. And I do have serious headcanons about what their Quirks would be that I stick to in most of my writing about them, but there is one idea that I've also fallen in love with despite some holes it must have Rody's Quirk is a manifestation of his feelings, so it makes sense that his siblings have other Quirks related to manifestation and feelings. One idea that I really like is the idea that one of the younger siblings is actually a manifestation of the other's Quirk.
Specifically, it would make a lot of sense for Roro to be a manifestation of Lala's Quirk. Imagine a very young girl, a toddler, whose only parental figure that she can really remember is her much older brother. But the thing is, her older brother is always gone. Always working, always telling her to stay in the house and keep quiet and be safe and that he'll come back soon. She vaguely understands that Rody loves her and that he works to provide for her, keep food on the table, but she's still lonely.
When her Quirk manifests, it manifests in a companion like Pino did. But the purpose of this companion is different. This companion is a living, breathing imaginary friend. Someone that other people can see and interact with and view as a real human being.
This companion, she calls Roro. She calls him that because he is Rody, just, a younger version of Rody. Someone closer in age to her but still her older brother. Someone who can keep her company, keep her safe, who can love her in the absence of her real older brother. They look like siblings, sure, but anyone who paid too much attention would notice that they look uncannily similar to one another. Almost identical.
It's jarring for Rody to see this child for the first time upon coming back home one day, but little Lala in her own little world with her recently manifested Quirk has already fabricated this whole reality in which Roro is a very real person and is one of her two older brothers. And honestly, though Rody is horrified at first, he realizes just how much he needs the extra help. How much Lala needs the company. How much the three of them need each other to survive this mess. So he starts to fabricate memories, too. He treats Roro like his little brother, the older of his two little siblings, and he starts to believe it.
He doesn't know if Roro will ever go away, or if he'll change shape, or if something about Lala's Quirk will change and break the image of a family that she created all on accident one day, but he doesn't care to think about it too much. He lives one day at a time, never thinking about the future. it's all he can do to provide for his family. And for now, that family includes two younger siblings. Not just one.
#rody soul#roro soul#lala soul#world heroes mission#my hero headcanons#em rose.txt#yes i know they have a locket with a picture of all three of them in it#yes i know the locket was from their father#yes i know it showed them all before they got kicked out#thats why this isn't the headcanon that I fully advocate for#but it IS an angsty idea to play around with#and very complicated#and why the fuck else is the younger brother named Roro when older brother is already Rody#who fucking thought that was a good idea?#a traumatized toddler thats who
