fuckin missed Vasya's birthday yesterday so yknow what, he's getting a new AU

everything is the same up until he's 18, where he finally flees his parents and (deciding that he needs to be as out-of-the-way as possible) somehow picks up a job on an offshore oil-rig as an assistant chef (doubling as a bit of a ukrainian/russian/english translator)

idk how long he'd stay there before moving off to moscow, but i like the idea of him learning to cook and Be A Person surrounded by some lowkey rough bastards (who will, of course, decide that he's great and proper take him under their collective wing)
