sofa. I'm trying to think of another question but im not sure. would you list some of your top 10 favorite cartoons of all time
DAMN ANOTHER TOUGHIE.. ive watched a lot of cartoons... i feel like its easy just to list more current ones/cartoons ive very recently watched but im gonna try real hard not to do that. so in no particular order:
adventure time: probably an obvious choice to ppl who know me personally. im pretty sure ive said this before but i quite literally grew up with this show, like i watched the pilot on nicktoons when i was like 9 and freaked out when the first episode of the actual show aired, and ive still regularly and enthusiastically kept up with it ever since, even to this day. i have to be honest and say the inclusions of distant lands and fionna and cake had me worried in a very cynical way about wringing the franchise dry or it succumbing to nostalgia bait but ive been happy to have had those fears handily dispelled every time. it makes me really happy to see that the cast and crew that have stuck with it just seem so genuinely excited to continue to tell new stories in the expanded universe and explore the land of ooo and new characters who live there, i think thats a good way to keep an ongoing series with spinoffs or limited series or what have you to keep from getting stale
ducktales 2017: once again anybody who knows me personally or follows this blog knows why this is on the list. i. fucking. love. ducktales 2017. ive said a million times before that i think its like a perfect encapsulation of what a reboot should be, something that obviously has a lot of love and respect for the original that its rebooting, but isn't afraid to incorporate entirely new ideas or deviate from pre-established "rules" or roles of the previous installments/versions of the characters and story, so on and so forth. i think it blends the family sitcom and action adventure elements really well together, its got a great ensemble of charming characters, i think most of the over-arching storylines it sets up are executed really well and it has a lot of fun one-off stories. its not perfect but its damn near close, in my opinion. also as much as i hate disney the corporate i do still love donald duck hes the best legacy disney character ok american moment over
the secret saturdays: i was a HUGE fan of the show as it was coming out but didnt remember much of it as i got older until i rewatched it, whereupon i found out just how much it fucking holds up, oh my g0d. i genuinely cannot believe its not more popular considering its premise, and again i think the story and character writing really hold up !!!!!! it has fantastic twists, you are immediately endeared not just to the saturday family but a lot of the other supporting characters, its overreaching storyline is executed so so well especially when you consider it was unfortunately gutted and prematurely cancelled by CN. some parts of it may be a little dated but again i think for the years it was developed and coming out there are some elements that were kind of ahead of the curve. if you havent watched the secret saturdays PLEEEASE please do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im fucking begging you. its good
ben 10: i think ben 10 might be my white whale. for important context i was scared to death of the original series as it was actively coming out when i was like, 6 years old, only to get extremely invested in it and the "original universe" franchise in like late middle school/early high school, and then they fucking got my ass AGAIN as a current twenty-something. every time i think im out they fucking pull me right back in. i know its a dumb meat headed action cartoon for little children but the wasted potential in this franchise is nothing short of insane, i wouldnt be saying this if they didnt literally bring up certain threads and ideas in the show only to be like, actually who gives a fuck ! that being said its a premise that sticks with you forever. to quote that one post
justice league unlimited: i dont post much about superhero cartoons on here but make no mistake they were hugely influential to me when i was a kid, my dad was and still is a huge marvel nerd but unfortunately for marvel (and my dad) their cartoon game was (and honestly, still kind of is) just aaaaabsolute trash, except for the ones about the x-men, but thats a ramble for another day. it wont surprise you to know a lot of the writing staff for the justice league and justice league unlimited cartoons would go on to work on the original ben 10 continuity so they have a lot of the same issues, but i would be lying if i didnt say jlu had a huge effect on my little baby brain, arguably maybe more than ben 10. why unlimited and not the original justice league cartoon of the aughts you ask ? well because jlu is hornier, and also booster gold is there
discovery kids favorites: this is technically cheating cuz its 3 cartoons, BUT ! i dont remember them enough on their own to put any one above the other. as a kid my mom hated cartoons (and honestly most tv programming aimed at children) and hated me and my sisters watching them in the room with her, or in general, for more than like 15 minutes a day, unless they were educational, and so i felt extremely clever for exploiting the discovery kids loophole bc they were cartoons made to teach you stuff. the ones i remember the most vividly and fondly were tutenstein, grossology, and growing up creepie, which i feel like honestly. says a lot about me. i should rewatch those sometime.
samurai jack: i will not argue against the fact that genndy tartakovsky is a tremendously talented individual, and a lot of his work has been extremely inspirational to me, that being said, if given the chance, i would drop an anvil on his head. i probably shouldnt say that but i cant express to you how much a lot of his work frustrates me and samurai jack really takes the cake. i cant even talk about season 5 but a lot of stuff in seasons 1-4 has problems that i feel like should be addressed, THAT BEING SAID, in spite of it all, i still fucking love samurai jack. i have fond memories of it from when i was a kid and during the collective resurgence it had as the 5th season was coming out, i cant argue that it doesnt have a lot going for it or pretend that again it isnt responsible for a lot of my own personal artistic inspirations.
class of 3000: I KNOW IVE BEEN POSTING ABOUT THIS A LOT LATELY BUT ITS NOT JUST CUZ OF THAT ! this last rewatch hasnt been my first, ive genuinely brought up this show to a lot of people both online and irl in the desperate hope other people remembered it because it was one of my absolute favorites as a kid and i remember the visceral feeling of how unfair it felt when i found out at like age 9 that it had been cancelled and there would never be another episode of it again. i think it just came into my life at the right place at the same time, i was both getting really into drawing and coming up with little stories myself and so the art and the cast really drew me in, and i had a music teacher at the time who was really into jazz and blues music and seeing that reflected in a cartoon i was watching was so cool :v] and again i just think so much of it holds up. its a gem i dont think should be hidden
spongebob (but only the first four seasons and the movie): im almost 25 so this is supremely unoriginal. its not that i think the newer/newest stuff is all bad its just that everybody gets one thing to be unreasonably blinded by nostalgia about and for me its early spongebob. the userbase on here is aging you all know what im talking about i dont need to explain this pick
the owl house: i really like the owl house for what it is ! its not for everybody, i know people tend to think it kind of skews towards "children's cartoon that is targeted for adults who still watch that stuff" but i think thats kind of cynical and not very generous to the cast and crew, i know the show got pitched around a bit before disney picked up on it but i dont think its fair to exclude the care and thought that went into re-adapting it for a broader and therefore younger audience, and the care that went into it in general ! i like its take on the fantasy setting, both the main and minor cast clearly have a lot of love and thought put into them, genuinely i think luz is maybe one of my favorite cartoon protagonists ever, the messaging it tries to get across i think comes from a personal place and is thus very earnest and sweet, and much like the secret saturdays i think its able to accomplish a lot in the limited time it was given. the whole show just feels like a labor of love to me and i just like the way that comes through !
since this was hard here are some honorable mentions:
batman the brave and the bold: wouldnt be fair to bring up a superhero cartoon and not mention this. i was pretty obsessed with this rendition of batman as a kid, unsurprising since i unironically loved the joel schumacher batman & robin movie and liked to catch the adam west batman re-runs they would play at the wee hours of the morning when i couldnt sleep, i think brave and the bold channels both of those a lot, its deeply stupid and kind of sucks in a lot of areas but thats also kind of part of the charm
3below: so i watched the first season of this before ever watching trollhunters, and while i recognize trollhunters is on a lot of levels the superior tales of arcadia cartoon i just like 3below the best. the stakes of trollhunters can get a little exhausting and i think 3below lets itself get a bit more goofy, plus its about a little group of "fish out of water" aliens !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love fish out of water stories AND aliens, what do you want me to do
fangbone!: real sofa fans remember my fangbone phase. ongoing actually cuz hes still my icon. its one of those cheaply produced flash canadian cartoons but from my perspective i think it was made by people who actually put more effort than was expected of them, which i like, and again its another fish out of water story, and the graphic novel its based on is also very cute
dwampyverse cartoons: phineas and ferb and milo murphy's law mostly ! pnf was very impactful on me as a kid and i loved the first season of mml. i think theyve reached a kind of oversaturation maybe ? that has made me juuust a little bit jaded about them, but i cant pretend like i still dont hold plenty of fondness for em in my heart
unicorn warriors eternal: see the above points about genndy tartakovsky in the samurai jack bulletpoint. the premise is a really cool one and the first season managed to be really good in ways i didnt think it would be but theres still the second season, so im scared. i hope its good. ive got the clown make up ready to go just in case though.
lastman: don't watch lastman. we all have our own cross to bear, alright, and this one's mine. i watched lastman, so you don't even have to worry about it, i mean i haven't finished the second season yet so i will, so don't watch lastman, please. im telling you as your friend, don't watch lastman. we all make mistakes sometimes, like for example, i watched lastman, both in french and english. if you watch lastman than my sacrifices will have been for nothing. don't watch it, and don't look up the comic either. im completely serious.
big city greens: im very picky about sitcoms and sitcom-type faire, but big city greens takes i think a very flat and tbh cynical gimmick and explores it with a lot of heartfelt earnestness, its hard not to be charmed by it. just pure comfort food tv to me.
danger & eggs: fun fact !!!!!! the cartoon that made me decide to make this sideblog !!! i keep meaning to revisit it, i would recommend checking it out if you havent before, both its premise and humor is very idiosyncratic and sweet to me, again its just another show that feels like it came very a place very near and dear to the creator's heart and i just always love to see that. if i had kids of my own which i never will i would definitely show it to them

He is the face of Gucci's new fragrance, an ultra-modern pop star and an exquisite young man, and Harry Styles may be content with his premature achievements. But he prefers to choose to be alone and fade out of the public eye, with curiosity or even greed to touch the music.
"So French!" The young man in a Mickey Mouse sweater smiled softly, facing the sometimes excited and blushing editorial team of magazines. On the day after the interview, his new song was launched, and it attracted more than 1.5 million followers in just a few hours. After a brief retreat, or after a breath-recovery process like holding his breath, a series of bumps began, and this was the return of Harry Styles. Harry, who has just soloed from One Direction (the band sold 50 million records over a six-year career and has since ceased indefinitely), achieved his personal career and released his first solo album in 2017. People saw him transforming. He was no longer the Harry of the 1D band, but became an independent artist, receiving reviews from music critics, and going in harmony with this era. He is fickle, he treats his sexual orientation peacefully, he defends equality, and supports same-sex marriage. The pop singer who has grown up in the greenhouse has now become a cocoon. Gucci's vibrant, poetic and destructive creative director Alessandro Michele, who is responsible for the styling of Harry's first tour after solo, has been selected as this fashion season Image ambassador for the new fragrance "Gucci Mémoire d'une Odeur". Soon before our meeting, he just spread some clear signals in an American journal, announcing some song samples of the new album: in recent months, he has been listening to McCartney, reading Murakami sang with Stevie Nicks in preparation for the new album. So on the day we met, we found two pieces of evidence that witnessed his creative journey over the past few months. The content of these songs is full, exquisitely arranged, delicate and at the same time rough and unruly, like an ecstatic intoxication, but also the sorrow of dawn and dawn, all of which show a large album full of color and temperature collision.
While anxiously waiting to jump into the vortex of public attention (album promotion, touring, and many things in celebrity life), the 25-year-old boy calmly told with restraint and enthusiasm throughout the day. Yourself. (To be honest, he did not try to avoid the eyes of passers-by. Instead, he walked in the panties between the two shots and ate Asian takeaway meals at the corner of the street instead of sipping healthy celery juice or eating Steamed tofu.) "The first smell I remember was probably the smell in her mother's kitchen, the smell of her roasted meat, and the smell of perfume on her." This is how this good son, also a contemporary superstar, is. Express his memory related to smell.
However, if one day Harry lives in your house by accident, who knows if this will happen? Never let him feed your cat, because he said: "I have been accompanied by cats every time I grew up, every time When I feed them, the taste of cat food makes me unbearable. "
It can be said that his cooperation with Alexandro Michele is not a pretense, and their creative lines coincide. "Alexandro is a free thinker, and his way of working is very enlightening. If he wants to do something, he will do it. It's that simple. It's impressive, especially for a big When working at a brand. This is great when you have the opportunity to participate in the work of a recognized master. He doesn't ask about class, age, or business. He does everything for everyone, everyone, I I think that any kind of art should be like that. "He talked about childhood again (yes, childhood seems to be yesterday in his eyes)": I like 'scent memory', I like its freshness, and it can be based on the user The different and changing characteristics. This perfume reminds me of the summer of childhood. Sitting with friends by the lake, where I grew up, smelling the fragrance of wild flowers ... "Today this Times exactly reflect the poem of Henri Michaux: "Night is not like daylight, it has great flexibility." That is to say, Michele's method is very suitable, even with this kind of abandoning the rules The approach is closely related. "Boundaries are gradually falling, whether in fashion, music festivals, film and television, or the art world ... I don't think people are still looking for differences in this category. Even if there is still a gender distinction in the world, they The line between them is also the subject of creation. People no longer need to be this or that person. I think that people are simply trying to get better. In fashion and other fields, these standards are not as strict as before, which brings Great freedom, exciting. "
"Although Michelle doesn't necessarily ask for my opinion, we will show some ideas to each other. It is cool to get opinions from people who are not necessarily in the same field as you, and you respect his work and taste "We noticed a new motivation, perhaps a new way of writing, which came from taking control of our careers. In short, when a seductive carefree and cruelly erodes talent, a serious mentality that a person shows ": writing songs is surfing. You can train as much as you can, and the waves Sometimes it doesn't. But we still need training to get better. It's impossible to sit down one day and think about writing the best song of my life. It takes a lot of effort. "
He worked in a bakery ten years ago, but now he has become the company's bet, the star and the focus of media attention. Whether out of fantasy or fact, he ca n’t help asking such a young man. How to get rid of this cobweb of public opinion. "Becoming famous is something I'm still learning and experiencing. I learn how to filter out what I like and dislike, pick out what can be integrated into the song, and what I don't want to share. Find a balance. Sometimes wondering how people think about this or that lyrics ... it means accepting to show off their fragile side, but at the same time, it makes the whole adventure exciting The reason. "He said.
Indeed, when he revealed some clues about the upcoming album, the excitement was obvious, hoping that he could express "a sense of freedom". This feeling is not completely new to some hot idols, especially some like "Elvis Presley, Mick Jagger, Stevie Niks, Janis Joplin Joplin) and Prince ". In contrast to this crowd is Nick Drake, whom he likes to listen to recently. The outstanding singer's music is full and well-crafted, giving people a joy. "When I look at them, I don't know what it is, but it's there. It's a strange thing. They transcend the limits. When it comes to songwriting, McCartney has always had a huge impact on me. I was lucky Some of them are strong, and in my eyes, they have always been awesome. "
He arrived in a special car (with a driver, a small freezer and dark windows), and instead walked to the corner bar for a beer, and the number of people accompanying him decreased.
Looking at the back of this millennial superstar, we think again of the teenager wearing an exaggerated cardigan, dreaming of standing out in the TV singer competition. Today, behind him is a gentle fragrance of wildflowers and Sunday lunch.

I've missed your Rebecca theories! Not that there's been anything to salivate over lately. Her sketchiness has died down a bit. I still think she's sketchy but that may be residual bias. But this rebooted Ross connection is suspicious. Did they really need her to be his unsuspecting drug dealer? I'm sure he can steal pills from other people who he didn't sleep with and possibly fathered a child with. Had no idea she even took painkillers.
I’m glad you sent me this, anon, because I have too many thoughts on all of this right now so was planning on making a post anyway haha!
I just want to note first though that I’m actually really enjoying everything with Ross and Rebecca these days - individually and together. I’d always liked them as a pairing (admittedly they were never on the scale of Ross and Donna, but they worked far better together than Dross ever did for me), but I’m genuinely loving this dynamic of these two lost souls supporting each other right now. It feels very natural and I feel invested in both storylines. I think Ross’s storyline has been really strong and moving, and Mike Parr’s been giving some really compelling and heart-wrenching performances. It’s nice to see him be given something proper to get his teeth into again.
And as for Rebecca - theories aside - I’m actually really enjoying / appreciating the direction they’re taking her character in nowadays. (I’m not saying I’m suddenly a Rebecca fan haha, but I’m appreciating her as a character nowadays.) Again I feel invested in her storyline and it’s actually really nice to see Emily get to do more, she’s having to highlight all these different sides to Rebecca’s personality right now and I think she’s doing a really good job. Because you know what they’ve done, anon? By actually taking Rebecca’s character in a direction, rather than just leaving her floating neither here nor there because they just never committed one way or the other, they’ve actually given the character some substance. And that’s why I’m now able to enjoy / appreciate her as a character. Because now she actually feels like one. To me at least. That substance, however, still doesn’t seem to extend to Seb and this brings me to the theories…
So this is where I currently stand on Theory Realm - I kept saying before that I’m not going there because personally I’m enjoying the narrative the way it is and have never wanted a twist for the sake of it. For me, a paternity twist and The Theory always went hand in hand as it was the decision to make Robert cheat in the first place (rather than the presence of the baby) which I found disappointing because I just didn’t feel like that was Robert at that stage (although a couple of days after The Incident, I wrote a mammoth post trying to get into the mindset of the storyliners/writers as they got into the mindset of Robert in order to make sense of why they felt like it was how Robert would handle the situation - yet another post which was never posted but I found it helpful at the time to understand the decision haha.). But I’ve also always maintained that the best way, for me, for The Theory to play out would have been as part of Robert’s breakdown and therefore by Christmas. So personally I’m quite happy for the narrative to continue the way it is now - saying that, I poured so much into the theories they’re always going to have a little piece of my heart and part of me can’t help but still want The Theory as @itwasjustmisplaced and I dedicated so much to it and of all the theories we discussed constantly, it’s the only one not to happen onscreen. So for the sake of myself and Taryn, and our sanity, it would still be quite nice and exciting haha! So that’s where my confliction on Theory Realm lies and why I’ve said I wasn’t going there, but it’s all still been going on in Theory Realm throughout and with each passing episode it feels like the show itself is literally trying to drag me back there… So, here we go, anon…
Rebecca’s relationship with Seb. I said her character feels like it has substance which it was lacking before - which is evident just in her interactions with other characters being far less about plot, but this doesn’t extend to Seb. Apart from her breaking down when she handed Seb over to Robert, we didn’t see any more of that time from her perspective - and we are actually seeing her perspective these days, so why not with Seb? Why not show her struggling without him, particularly as he was the one constant in her routine and structure which would surely be crucial and have a big impact on her symptoms? Instead we got Robert’s perspective and Aaron bonding with Seb, while Rebecca disappeared until she popped up in the pub (wearing that grey jumper) looking for a job (with Charity commenting on her lack of blinking, I hope you all picked up on that haha)… So is this because Seb is staying as a permanent fixture with Robert and Aaron, or because he’s going to be taken away from them and therefore it was necessary to build that bond as a family (which was always part of The Theory and one of the reasons the break-up parting didn’t make sense to me at the time.)..? (Or alternatively was it a simple matter of timing because look at Vanessa - she got suspended but we haven’t seen anything since of how she’s coping with being in a different role, how Paddy and Rhona are coping with the workload without her etc. Sometimes it is just down to screentime and other storylines taking precedence at that point.) Because what we are getting with Rebecca and Seb is Lachlan feeding her the line that Robert would still try to take Seb away from her. Are we due that custody battle that was prematurely speculated about after all..? And if so, will Joe Tate play a role as - sadly - he’s also been a poignant connecting factor in all of this…
The Ross connection. (They had already planted the painkillers seed by the way - when she left Seb on his own it’s because she’d run out of painkillers for her headaches so went to get some from the shop, but forgot when she was there and came home with only a magazine and some chocolate.) Now, on the surface, it kind of looks like they’ve just re-established the connection between Ross and Rebecca but actually their storylines have been connected throughout. Even as far back as January, when Robert was planning on taking Seb, Ross was there (with Moses) buying into the situation with his quips about Adam not being able to run forever… Also note, Ross has actually only been onscreen with Seb once - helping Robert with the pram and his stuff outside the café. That’s it. But actually, the biggest connection is that they’re both going through health storylines right now and these have been intricately linked from the start…
Ross hanging around making jibes shortly before the crash;
The day of Ross’s attack, Rebecca had a turn and fainted;
Which brings me to the first point of the Joe factor - obviously it was Joe who was supposed to be in Ross’s shoes, but instead it was he and Graham who found and helped Ross;
The day Robron reunited - alternatively known as that time Robert left the front door open for a whole night - Ross was alone at home, unable to open his front door and afraid when the pizza delivery guy came knocking, while two (I think) doors down we also had a shot of Robert closing the door, not wanting to open the front door on which Aaron was knocking - except eventually he did, and he left that door wide open (intentionally or not haha)… The door to Rebecca and Seb’s home…;
Point two of the Joe factor - Rebecca went and attacked Joe - who was the one supposed to be on the receiving end of the attack on Ross - and when he discovers the cctv footage of Graham with Simon (aka clues to Ross’s attack) we think this is the footage he’s about to show Graham but instead he plays Rebecca’s attack on himself;
Point three of the Joe factor - Joe had Rebecca arrested to get one over on Robert. Note, Rebecca was wearing her blouse from The Incident night for the first time in a long time and obviously there was quite a big focus on it at the police station… Now, Robert went after Joe for this, as predicted, so does that make the speculated custody battle seem more likely..? Personally I don’t think Joseph Tate is above manipulating an ill and vulnerable Rebecca (with the help of Lachlan’s whisperings of course) to try to take Seb away from Robert and maybe due to the legality side that’s how the paternity test finally comes about to prove Robert’s rights - imagine Joe’s delight if it turned out Seb wasn’t Robert’s son at all…
And then of course Rebecca and Ross finally started sharing scenes together again…
Rebecca and Charity defending Ross against those awful girls - two exes: one, the mother of his son who was revealed to be his as a “Who’s the daddy?” twist and who has proven to be Ross’s anchor and purpose to get him through all of this right now (there’s been such a heavy focus on his relationship with Moses and lines of dialogue like “Am I still your daddy?” which could be read into if you want to go there, but personally I don’t want to detract from the actual story they’re showing with Ross as I’ve found it all heartbreaking.); the other, the mother of a son who could have been his except the question of “Who’s the daddy?” never came…
Their bonding and hanging out together, so supportive of each other, but Ross alluding to something more happening and saying “It’s not like you’d remember it anyway.” Which on its own doesn’t seem like anything more than a Ross quip, but this was while Rebecca was wearing The Incident blouse…
Now, add all of this to the fact that Lachlan used the line the other night about “all of our secrets” - plural, not just the truth of how the crash happened… And remember Rebecca said, “The thing about secrets is you have to be comfortable keeping them.” Well Rebecca isn’t comfortable with that anymore, she no longer has that level of control over the information she reveals… And on that front, isn’t it cruelly ironic that we, the audience, are being treated to a trip down memory lane for Rebecca while she herself is struggling to remember anything? Not just with Ross, but with Debbie (responsible for Ross’s attack and discussing Joe - connections) and also bringing up Vic’s “obsession” with having a baby… If there was to be a twist, they’ve set it up perfectly to allow themselves to be a bit creative with it… Maybe we will get that Memento style flashback we all asked for after all. :P But if that were to happen, why not go a little further and give us an extra big twist? Maybe Rebecca’s initial injuries were sustained much earlier and the crash exacerbated them - perhaps that bonfire night when she was knocked out and Chrissie left her for dead was the start of it all, maybe this is why there has been inconsistencies with her character, maybe this is why she regularly told people different stories, maybe she never slept with Robert at all but like him she just assumed because she couldn’t remember..? And maybe this is why she keeps wearing that black and white coat again which she wore that bonfire night but hadn’t actually been around much last year… I mean, this is just a wild bit of theorising for fun, but with the situation they’ve put her into almost anything is possible haha.
So yeah, I still don’t know how I feel about the prospect of anything happening, anon. Literally all the signs are still there, it’s just how we choose to interpret them. And I’m just not sure at this stage because I’ve moved on with the narrative, but still there’s a niggle. Alas.
#I did forewarn you that I had a lot of thoughts right? :P#haha I hope you were prepared for an essay anon!#but bless you for missing the theories - consider this a collection of all the posts I wasn't around to make :P#discussions on everyone's favourite fictional village#the realms of neverending theories and overanalysis#The Theory speculation

Hi sorry, I don't remember everything.^^' It was just after the ep and I was wondering what's left for me in this show? I mean I'm not very interested about Daisy, and I don't care about ward and hydra, these chapters were dead and should have stayed that way. Then they broke the only logical reason why Jemma and Daisy would be fine irl with the backdoor. They have no I.V. and no medical support so they will die of dehydration and before that they will "wet" themselves and worse... (sorry)
(2) They’ve gone way too far with Fitz, a freaking nazi sociopath :/ They tainted his character. Worse! another useless “love” triangle and this one is even more disgusting because merged with theme of non-con/violation/rape theme and if you add the fact that Fitz helped building her which has a father-imagery to it, it’s just urgh!! They don’t learn anything. So my main thing is FS and with Elizabeth quote, we’re going with the same kind of nonsense path than with GR arc…
(3) What’s the point to make Jemma save him if they don’t interact? I only watch to see that interaction. And with Jed quote, they don’t even have the decency to plan an ending… If it’s the last season, such a disappointment and whatever 1min “happy” scene they put at the end it won’t balanced all that nonsense. I’m sorry to tell you all that really, but I feel sad and lonely in my case and I love your blog so… sorry.(end)
Hey there, anon! Thanks for resending the first ask. I want to make sure I understand where you are coming from.
Okay, first of all, I think it’s a little premature to judge 4C after watching one episode. This was all setup, and we haven’t gotten to the real story yet. My guess is that we won’t really get to it until 4x18, since 4x17 seems to be Setup Part Two, in which we see where the other characters are (including, possibly, Elena and the real world crew).
I get really annoyed at people who gave up on the show after 1x5 because they were disappointed that no superheroes showed up. That’s not what this show is about, and if they’d taken the time to look at the show for what it is, maybe they would have liked it.
I am 1000% here for FitzSimmons, and I get by on amazing team dynamics when the FitzSimmons is stupid. So, if you’re not into Hydra or Daisy, may I suggest that we have a great story going on outside of that. Daisy is one player in this, and Hydra is just a weapon. The REAL villain is Aida, and since Aida has stolen Fitz, Jemma will have to fight Aida to get him back. That is something I am DYING to see.
Jemma spent all of season three as a damsel in distress, so to me, it is vital that she has this chance to save the day. It’s not that Jemma doesn’t fight; it’s that she fights in quiet, subtle ways, like she did when she tried to win Fitz’s heart in 3B. Meanwhile, Fitz gets to jump through holes in universes for her. My favorite thing about FitzSimmons is that they are equals—in intelligence, in courage, and in morality. So they should get equal chance to get the meaty, action hero roles, don’t you think? I do! Also, I just love Jemma and I’m so excited for her to get some screen time.
As for being trapped in the Framework: the purpose is to raise the stakes. If Jemma and Daisy can get in and out whenever they want, the story is over in five minutes. They want a bigger story than that, so we’re getting higher stakes. Before, they were trying to find the physical location of their teammates. Now, they have to actually navigate this new world in order to save themselves as well. To me, that’s a more interesting story. How are they going to get themselves out of an impossible situation? What happens AFTER? I’m so excited to find that out.
Cut for length!!
As for Jemma and Daisy’s physical bodies: they’ll probably be fine. If we can suspend our belief about an evil robot stealing minds, I think we can assume that Elena and Piper are doing a good job looking after them.
As for Fitz: yes, he is technically a Nazi, but he’s not a sociopath. Radcliffe is a sociopath, because he lacks any morality whatsoever. Framework Fitz, on the other hand, is doing what he thinks is right. Part of that is that he is trying to protect Madame Hydra, and I think there’s a bigger part we haven’t seen yet. Radcliffe would never get that angry about protecting someone else.
And here’s an important thing about Fitz: he has been deceived. His memories have been wiped and replaced with new ones, and our responses are often shaped by our experiences. I think of this as abuse rather than rape. He is making his own choices, but he is making them based on the information available to him. He doesn’t know that this information isn’t the truth. The writers like to play with this all the time, making a character make the “wrong” choice because they have bad information.
Jemma is the best example of this, because she’s usually the writer’s favorite victim. In season two when there was a possibility that then-Skye could be an Inhuman, Jemma talked about it like it was a plague. This scared Skye, and rightly so! But Jemma had a good reason to see it that way, because of the facts that were presented to her. Think about what Jemma saw happen in that temple! Mack was possessed, Trip was turned to rubble, and Raina became a homicidal porcupine. If you see those three things happen to people who go inside the temple, and your friend also went inside that temple, are you going to be worried about your friend? HECK YEAH! Of course, Jemma had no idea about Inhuman DNA or terrigenesis, and that was important information! As soon as she understood what was actually happening, she did a complete 180, because Jemma is a good person who was only trying to help her friends in the first place.
Something similar is happening to Fitz here. He is being lied to. He is being used. Madame Hydra needs his creativity to create this world and do whatever nefarious things she has planned, so she’s keeping him close and playing off his desires. He wants Jemma, so she stands in as Jemma. He wants to protect people, so she puts him in a position where he has to protect her. This is brainwashing, just like Jemma said!
The thing I was most worried about when it came to this arc was that there would be an implication that this is how the characters really are inside. I’m excited about this arc because that’s clearly not the case. Does Coulson, in his heart of hearts, believe that Inhumans are evil and that Hydra should stop them? NO! He has literally fought against those ideas. But he does have a tendency to be a company man, and now he’s been made to believe that Hydra is the company. His weakness has been exploited, just like May and Fitz’s weaknesses have. And they are being exploited in a way that serves Madame Hydra’s goals. The real question is this: when they see what’s true, will they change? Will they do what’s right? I think they will. They didn’t choose this life, and they’re already subconsciously fighting against it. Give them a chance to fight consciously, and we’ll see them tear this place down. That’s the whole point of Jemma’s “You are not your programming” speech. They HAVE been programmed, but they are more than that and they WILL overcome their programming.
Gonna go out of order here and talk about Fitz and Jemma not interacting: again, this raises the stakes. What we saw with the Ghost Rider arc was FS getting pulled apart (this was one of those times I subsisted on team dynamics), and this is about FS fighting their way back to each other. Fitz will probably fight in a small, quiet way and Jemma will be dramatic and loud for a change. So yes, they won’t be in the same room, but the story will be about their relationship. That was all set up by Daisy’s “you belong together” speech. I want to see them fight for each other! AND, eventually they WILL be together—this is all buildup to that payoff. I want that payoff! We got buildup of Fitz’s feelings in season one with the payoff of, “You’re more than that, Jemma.” We got the buildup of Jemma’s feelings in season two with “Maybe there is.” I know it’s going to be painful for them to be apart, but they will be in each other’s thoughts, and the payoff will hopefully be worth waiting for.
So, I’m not sure which Elizabeth quote you’re talking about, because there are a few. She said Jemma would be worried that she’d never get Fitz back, and we’d have to see if she forgives Fitz. But the thing about Elizabeth and anyone else is that their job is to promote the show. As my friend @aretsuna would say: the enemy is shooting at us. They are trying to stir things up to get you to tune in. If Elizabeth said, “Well, you know, Jemma is worried, but she really shouldn’t be because they find Fitz and everything’s okay,” she’d be doing a bad job. So, you have to take what she says with about a mountain of salt. All you can really get from that is that in 16, Jemma is worried about getting Fitz back. Doesn’t mean she’s not going to get Fitz back. Just means that she hasn’t figured out how to do it yet.
Honestly, I pay zero attention to anything they say about the future. That’s all a mind game they’re playing. What’s interesting is listening them talk about the past and their reactions to things that have already happened.
I agree that we absolutely need a fifth season. This is why I’ve been trying to encourage people to do things that will help the show get renewed. They said at the beginning that they had a five-season plan, and I don’t want to see 4/5 of that plan. I’d be okay with 6/5 or 7/5 of that plan, if they did it right.
BUT, there are a lot of factors going on here, and it boils down to basically a gamble. They are betting that the show will be renewed. In a way, that’s smart, because it’s easier to cancel a show when the writers/creators have stopped fighting. They also know that if they leave the story unfinished, WE will demand more. This is how Nashville got picked up by CMT after it was cancelled: they wrapped up every storyline but one, leaving a HUGE cliffhanger. The fans didn’t stand for that, and they ended up getting the rest of that story. That strategy can work for us. The other things that work for us is the fact that Marvel is backing them up, there’s a new Inhumans show to play off of (Arrowverse style), and a lot of the other ABC shows are not doing so great. We have a chance, and the more noise we make, the better the chances are.
That said, my guess is that they’re smart enough to do something that can work as both a series or season finale. The finale of Agent Carter is a good example of this. At the very least, we have the hope that anything that isn’t resolved here is resolved in other MCU series or movies.
Well, anon, I hope that addresses your concerns! That’s the best case I can make! Obviously, these are all my opinions and you have a right to your own, but I hope you don’t feel alone. I hope you can find a little optimism for how 4C will unfold. If it’s terrible, I promise I’ll call them out on it like I have in the past. For now though, I’m looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us. I hope I’ve helped you look forward to that as well.

Anti-Aging Facial Peel Treatment | Professional Peels Esthetician Education
You are going to age no matter how hard you try to prevent it. Although getting older is inevitable, you can keep from getting "old" by enjoying your time and keeping yourself involved in exciting activities. Use this article to learn how to care for yourself better.
Stop frowning if you want to avoid wrinkles. While humorous, it's true. Every time you feel that you begin to frown give yourself a tiny pinch so that you stop. Only you can break this bad habit.
One method for handling age gracefully is to quit obsessing about data and measurements. You can easily be distracted by numbers such as your weight, age and height. You will still need some numbers for medical reasons but you should not weight yourself down every day.
There is no sense in worrying about your age or other numbers that seem to define you. Let your doctor worry about numbers. If you focus entirely on your age, your weight and your height, you are almost guaranteed to overlook the remarkable aspects of life that will sustain your mind and body.
Try to spread cheer wherever you go. It is a blessing to your life to be able to make others happy. Happiness is a gift that is worth so much, yet it is free to give.
Friendships will provide you with the fuel, energy and the love that will feed your emotions in a positive way. You can never be too old to get new friends. Do your best to meet new people. Look for friends who make you happy.
Setting a regular and generous sleep schedule grows more important as you get older. Make sure you get between seven and nine hours of sleep every night. Not getting adequate sleep can cause depression, heart problems, and more.
You can improve your skin as you age by staying away from makeup products like foundation or powder makeup. Since hydration is even more important to your skin as you getting older, this type of makeup gets even worse for your skin the older you get. Try to keep your beauty regimen to minimum as you get older. Use the fewest beauty products possible, avoiding those that harm the skin.
Extreme temperatures and weather are a definite no-no when it comes to your skin. Intense cold and intense heat, especially if you're exposed to sunlight, can be harmful to your skin. This may lead not only to severe diseases such as skin cancer but also to premature growing older.
Eating inordinate amounts of sugar can contribute to a shortened life span. Sugar is known to cause a number of health problems, including diabetes, and it can shorten your lifespan as well as speed up the growing older process. Research has shown that sugar is also a contributing factor in the reduced lifespan of all animals.
See the bright side of aging. You have more free time than at any other stage of your adult life. You have wisdom, experience and a lifetime of great memories. Fill your days with the people and things you love.
Return to a favorite hobby after retirement or as your children leave home to help you focus on the positive aspects of aging. Once you can focus your attention on your own happiness, you may discover that there are many satisfying activities that you weren't able to enjoy during your family years. A hobby such as painting, crafts, or a sport can keep you outwardly focused.
The food you eat plays a big part in how you age. Eat a varied diet of ample fruits and veggies, high quality sources of protein, wholesome dairy products, eggs, and nourishing, natural oils. Also, try to have three meals in moderation, and cut back on the snacks.
Write down a list of the medicines you take. If you regularly fill prescriptions from different pharmacies, this is critical. Having this list will allow pharmacists to cross reference your medications for certain side effects.
Retire as early as possible, but have a health savings account in case something goes wrong. But it's wise to also plan for future health issues.
Make and keep regular appointments with your doctor and follow their orders. If you are proactive, it will allow you to take steps regarding issues that you may not have known about. The sooner you know about a problem, the sooner you can solve it.
It's important to guard against fraud. People that are older in age are targets for criminals that think they can make easy money. Protect your identity by withholding your personal banking information whenever possible, destroying documents with your personal data and limiting access to your home to include only known individuals. These actions will ensure that your money stays with you and only you.
Restoring your hormonal balance is an excellent aging tip. As you age, your hormone levels can fluctuate drastically. This can lead to unpleasant side effects, such as decreased energy, endurance and libido. You should speak with your physician about including a hormone replacement therapy in your daily routine.
Try a facial massage to reduce facial skin getting older. Massages can draw blood towards the surface, which can decrease puffiness and prevent wrinkles. Take three fingers and make circles across the skin of your face.
Staying fit and living a healthy lifestyle will help you to avoid the negative side effects of growing older, like gaining weight, energy loss, and memory loss. Simply eating healthy foods and exercising can keep your mind and body sharp.
You should take all food purchases seriously as what you consume most certainly impacts your health. Whole foods contain many vitamins and minerals that are effective at keeping your body feeling fit and young. Stay away from junk food. Eating healthy can improve your overall health and help you feel really good.
It is actually surprisingly easy to keep yourself engaged and energized as you grow older. Just make sure that you keep your body and mind healthy so that you can enjoy the rest of your years. The best place to find tips about getting older would be to read senior articles and newsletters. If you are continuously trying new activities and staying active, you will definitely enjoy your retirement years.

hi everyone this is Jessa so I'm starting here on my little trolley I have my lumina spiel setup these are my cold stones this is my hot water and we may not have enough time to do the traditional timing on this treatment I preheated my steamer so it's a good idea before your facials to get your water hot see how it's boiling immediately because it's already heated so sometimes you can get an idea of how much time you need you know by turning it on a few times and seeing how long it takes to boil this is just my other treatment cart we roll this one over to use the mag lamp and my client has climbed in but make sure before they get in that you have your head towels so you've got one on the bottom one that wraps around their hair and I don't use any extra headband or a clip or anything I just tuck the towel into itself and now my stamens going again so we're going to turn that off while we cleanse and I will see you in a minute okay now we're gonna wrap her head let's see so you get one left handed so I set up my wrap to tuck with my left hand but you can fold the towel the other way and then you tuck it in this corner here okay make sure it's not pressing on any jewelry if they have it on they should really take it off and keep their hair clean during a facial most women they don't like it if you know their hair gets all greasy hi so we're going to start the facial now I showed you all of the prep and we've got our steamer ready and just for the sake of those who glove and you don't glove for my videos I'm gonna be gloving I hope from here on out just because some estheticians do it all the time and some don't for certain parts of the facial and in the wintertime if you have dry skin you can have Micro fissures in your hands so it's actually like having a little tiny wound or something going on so I'm going to start with our creamy sunflower cleanser this is our 16 ounce size we don't have it nicely labeled in here yet because our other labels warm it up a little bit in your hands and I'm going to show you what it looks like also make sure your posture is good you so make sure when you're cleansing them you really do a good job with creamy cleansers you start with the cleanser dry you don't add water till you massage for a minute or so and what I was saying before is I'm going to show you what it looks like to do a peel with your facial and where to do it and we do use every month on quite a few clients because we want to make sure that each client is getting professional exfoliation because it's something I can't do at home and it's almost better to do one stronger peel if they're not going to exfoliate at home each month than it is to just do the home care but ideally they're going to do both so they're going to use a fruit acid or a triple blemish control those are the things we have in our line we have two strengths of fruit acid but that's something you want to talk to your client about is if they want more glow they want anti-aging they have acne something like that then you're going to want to make sure that you talk to them about exfoliation and I really believe in acids but it's not just any acid that's okay a lot of acids are extracted with toxic processes and you want to make sure that the acid that you use is extracted not only using a clean process like enzyme extraction but also the base ingredient needs to be natural or organic and non toxic and the reason that makes a big difference on people's skin is it's kind of like eating organic want a a towel to wipe your gloves so I'm just going to wipe off a little is cleanser so I don't go up every piece of equipment that I use after this and the cleanser is creamy so it's sitting on her till I get this steam going and then I'm going to wipe it off okay so I use four by fours because they're disposable there's some things I don't like to use that are washable and there's reasons for that and they do have organic cotton in these types of wipes so that's what you should get if you're a more natural organic spot so you want to make sure you really cleanse everything you know you get everything wiped clean and I kind of hold these wipes like this when I'm cleaning them and then I go back in your water bowl I have an ozone setting on my steamer if you wanna when I turn on the ozone you can see the steam you okay so now I can see where my steam is pointed if you want to come over here from the side and just get a picture of the whole thing so you can see your steam point it but I don't like to leave the ozone on while they're steaming because it makes people pop so something you can do with appeal is you can do a mild enzyme before your peel so this is our jojoba bean and I'm actually taking more of the creamy sunflower cleanser with our beads you tap like salt tap a little bit and that's not even a quarter of a pea size in these anything I dirty I kind of leave it up top too on my part so that I know what to clean at the end and this is our five percent a pumpkin enzyme okay and you really don't need very much of this it's really spicy because it's got all of the spicy enzymes in it it also has um kind of like a pumpkin pie type of blend in spices so you can see I'm getting a little collection going on my cart so I'm mixing those three things together to make her exfoliant and this is really gentle but if somebody's sensitive skin you you don't want to put the pumpkin enzyme in there you might want to put a little oxygen with the beads and cleanser again but most clients are going to tolerate the enzyme really well so we're kind of focused on the peel today I'm going to do some separate videos on extractions um this particular model I've been seeing her for a while now so she has great skin and she doesn't have a lot of extractions so sometimes you have clients like that and we offer a facial called the mossad lonely facial and we offer that so that people who don't need extractions have a little more affordable way of getting the treatment done okay so when you get your hot towel out of the towel caddy it's really hot it's a good idea because your hands are washed to test like a baby bottle like milk when you heat up milk for baby test it right on your inner wrist before you wrap their face you don't arm someone and you ask them is that temperature okay yeah okay and then some people get a little claustrophobic so don't cover their mouth in their nose and when you press you know you don't have to go overboard you can also ask your client when you're getting to know them do you get claustrophobic and that kind of thing and if they do you need to be really careful when you're wrapping them so and then you know the gloves also I feel that there are some clients in situations where you can cleanse or do the massage you know that kind of thing without them but those who believe in using them 100% of the time I totally get it we carry a lot of different strains of bacteria on the surface of our skin and we can get those dry fingers and get those micro fissures so because she doesn't need extractions we're going to go straight into the peel we're going to tone this is the triple-t I was with Timmy dmae and resveratrol so this starts the treatment process sometimes their mouths open a little bit and you might want to tell them I'm going to spritz you so just keep everything closed and I'm going to get some dry four-by-fours and this helps prep their skin and get any residue out of the way from anything even though we just hot tell them off it also kind of helps the pH of their skin be in the right place before we do the peel so we just sent out about a hundred luminous peels so I'm going to use the luminous it's a great peel for almost everybody so if you want to conserve your peel this this fan brush is the material that's actually not my favorite my favorite brushes were going to carry really soon they have an orange fan and they have this exact handle you can't have wood and you can't really have hair you know type of this isn't a hair but it's it's not the type of fan that I like there's one that just won't break down after years of use these are newer but they will break down so to conserve peel use a fan brush or you can use a two by two but the two by two will soak up our new peels fairly quickly so you'll use more so start on the forehead foreheads tend to be kind of tough and you want to apply the peel evenly and you never want to get too close to the eyelids and the under eye skin but you want to get the crow's feet and you want to apply fairly quickly so I'm going to speed up now the reason is the peel is starting to work everywhere that you've applied it so I just did my second dip into my peel here so get the whole face covered and then go for the neck the neck and the decollete area I go all the way down to where there's openings in their shirt some people charge extra I believe in including that an appeal and we charge $30 to add appeal on anybody service or we do a quick treatment where we do appeal now it's really important because this point she's she's feeling it you're gonna ask her on a scale of one to ten one would be you don't feel anything ten would be taken off right now where are you at good to a two so a two is good you can let it sit for two to five minutes at that number her lip looks a little dry does it feel like I missed any we're thankful that's a good thing to ask your client now there's something called layering that you can do with peals this is advanced and all of you teaching more classes on this but if they have scoring wrinkling pigment anything that needs extra work you can take a second layer of the peel let's say the cheeks are really tough so I'm going to put a thick layer on top of the first layer and if the peel dries out while it's cooking it's not working so you want it to be moist okay now if she had acne okay so if somebody broke out here you'd want to do a second layer here you can either use a different peel to layer it or you can layer the same one on and it's good at this point to ask your client again has it gotten any stronger is it staying about the same it's about the same just a little bit stronger baby okay so it will go up and up and up and these peels cook really fast I like to say they cook now I have a bowl with to Jade's in it and I take my dry four-by-fours and I'm dipping them in this really cold water that I like to be filtered wherever possible in facials in stage carbon filters are actually very cheap if you can filter the water at your spa it helps with all of your facial treatments so this will feel cold okay that's what you need to tell your client this also neutralizes the peel kind of like with hair color you know water neutralizes it not only wiping off the excess peel but also um the water helps to neutralize the peel although they may feel a slight tingling still after you remove the peel and that's okay that's normal tell them if it's feeling if it gets stronger when they leave or if it's feeling like it's getting increasingly stronger after they leave it should kind of neutralize slowly when they leave and they need to call you if they continue to feel a lot of activity or if they go somewhere they shouldn't really work out you know right after this if they work out or get hot and sweaty it can reactivate the peel a little bit sometimes it does nothing and other times you can see that I flipped these wipes inside out so that I'm using a fresh area of the wipe so I'm not wiping the peel around on the other side of my wife that's really important and then you ask your client again um how's that feeling now is it feeling like it's neutralizing yes okay does it still feel like a one or or a two um or maybe a one of advice it's neutralized I can tell okay so after this we'll do a little bit of massage I'm grabbing the ten percent oxygen elixir and we've clean this so this label looks a little faded oops and you will knock things over moving all the step around doing a facial so this oxygen is fantastic after appeal it's like a second treatment you know it's like getting an oxygen treatment the elixir is particularly good because there's ten percent oxygen the hundred percent is really strong so I'm covering everywhere that we peeled and this should feel good because there's oxygen she could feel a slight activity that most likely not so we're going to do a little pressure point massage so during my full facials I do face head neck shoulders and half of the arms for massage just for time purposes today we're going to show you the face and we're going to show you the cold stone massage the cold stone massage is part of what neutralizes everything after the peel if they're looking really flushed right after you take the peel off you probably want to do the cold stones and then their massage with their massage gets their blood moving so you got to keep that in mind it gets their circulation and everything going so sometimes it's better to do a little massage with pressure point and also regular massage we do a little bit and then we do the cold stone massage and the cold stones are really important to close the skin downso you kind of want to make your way around the skin a couple of times with the stones and these are Jade so they have some really nice properties even you have good energy Jade's been used a really long time Jade facial rollers and Jade for the skin has been used for a very long time so I like these versus regular massage stones Jade stays cold a lot longer and it's got a lot of really great properties like I said okay so keep in mind if this is a longer facial or you have a little more time than we do filming today that you can put more time into massage and different things but if you're on a schedule you can shorten it up a little bit so I like to wet some fresh wipes to get this part off here sorry I didn't warn her so she's tasting Mia toner so having that little oil barrier on it restores the skins barrier after appeal and the sunflower is really compatible with a lot of skin types we're also going to infuse organic sunflower seed oil with herbs so that you can get more of a little treatment but the oxygens pretty potent if you come and get a close-up of her skin between the oxygen and the peel she's really glowing so for today I'm going to tone her you could do a mask and then the rest of the massage I'm going to tone her and moisturize her and we hand mixed a lot of herbs and we use a lot of months and that kind of thing in our facial treatments so we have a couple new masks coming and two of them will be ready to go I'm going to make some of our dry herbal mixtures ready to go masks very soon so I'm putting a little hyaluronic on hyaluronic is nice and neutral after the treatment that she just did but what hyaluronic does is it's more of a humectant so it helps the skin hold water and it's important to put this on you know before the oils sometimes so we're going to use this because it was a peel it's good to put on another oil barrier so since we haven't used it very often this is squalene and it's a little more hydrating than the oxygen the 10% elixir would also work but you really need to do this and then after this you put a little of the mineral defense on and then they're ready ready to go and I got a little bit of the hyaluronic two around her eyes so these steps after appeal are really important a lot of times people try to put on their regular serums on a client or they try to put on really active creams and if they do that the skin could have a reaction it can blow up into something Raschi that it doesn't normally do because the barrier is completely different after you do microderm or you do peel so let's get it closed up with this because people have been asking this is the zinc and titanium mineral defense cream in this bottle we've had for a while it's a little beat up so she's got our moisturizers on you want to spray your fingers with a little toner and don't get more than I had so this is what it should look like before you apply and then you've got to go quick to blend so you see I got a little bit everywhere now I'm blending as it dries you can see if it dried like that it would streak and having a little oil based moisturizer on underneath isn't a bad idea but you can see how it blends right in when it's the right amount and you spray a little bit of toner on it alright thank you everybody so that was most of our facial I promise I will do a real you know hour and hour and a half facial but we're doing a big peel series focus right now and I wanted to get part of a facial in with the peel thank you
