i want to write something about leafpool and the way she can never look at deathberries the same after that encounter with hollyleaf. for multiple reasons. one it’s obviously a horrible memory bc shes watching her daughter suffer and lose her mind and she’s listening to her daughter tell her that she hates her so much she wants her dead. but also i think, esp in the first few weeks after holly’s perceived death + her secret just got outed to all four clans + crowfeather publicly said he never cared for her + she lost her job… idk i think she would come across deathberries while out hunting and she would think back to what she told hollyleaf and i dont think she’d ever stop wondering just how much easier it would be. i dont think she’d ever stop feeling tempted. and i think it would scare her a lot
