#i love venice and its islands because they’re everything i love about the netherlands but x10000000000000#i took a picture of burano and it looks straight up like a picture i could have taken in the town i grew up with just with 3000% more colour#and a different style of architecture#but the vibe of like canal + row houses + random little alleys + small boat + random church spire is like every single dutch town also#and venice itself is just canals but MORE#alleyways but MORE#densely built but MORE#bridges but MORE#church spires peaking in and out of view but MORE#constant risk of flooding but MORE#museums and art and old shit everywhere but MORE#looks like a perfect picture storybook place like real people get to live here?? sounds fake but MORE!!!
