poor boy he would totally forget he has a concert to do. like i know that when josh finds something he likes, it's like his mind goes "yup only that thing exists". and that would apply to you. like i imagine you're some kind of indie new artist the boys had found out and decided to invite you on stage to promote your music. and boy does he love your music, but it wouldn't matter once you climbed the stage with them. like i feel the boys would want to sing one of their songs with you but josh would be too concentrated on you to even remember he had to sing. but he also would be like your biggest fan, just pure admiration for you.

"have you seen that!? wow, y/n you just sing like that!" josh basically screamed into the microphone, trying his best to be heard over the crowd's cheers. you were a blushing mess, covering your face with your guitar as he approached you and put a hand on your shoulder "if you aren't a fan of her by now, i can’t help you anymore" everybody laughed, but you just couldn't stop looking at josh, who was looking at you in a way you couldn't figure out.

something tells me sam wouldn't look bothered on stage. like he's always in his own world as he plays instruments, so i feel like he would pay attention to you backstage. i feel like the boys would be told about this new band having a little time on stage with them. sam would be ok with it, but his eyes would fall on you as soon as he heard your voice. he would love more the way you felt music.

i imagine like you were singing as the lead vocal of the group, while aggressively playing the guitar as you loved doing it that way. sam was trying really hard to take notice on the lyrics but the way your voice sounded was too distracting, like a furious angel crying. he was loving every second of your rehearsal. as the song was coming to the end, sam was coming up with an excuse to approach you.

"hey, that was pretty awesome, y/n, right?" sam said as he called your name, making you turn around. your nod was enough answer for him to go on "i was thinking maybe you could try another thing? like at the end, as a plot twist! maybe instead of playing that chord, what about doing something a bit different?" he knew he wasn't making any sense, as he expected you to not understand so he would have to spend more time with you.

danny.

it would probably be similar to sam. i mean, he wouldn't be able to interact much with you on stage. he would be pretty aware of this and would think about ways to talk to you before going on stage. i also feel like danny watches from afar, you know in interviews and such he seems like someone who doesn't talk much so he uses that time to truly look at everything. like i feel he would pay as much attention on you, gathering all the details so he can go up to you and "magically" bring up a topic you're interested in.

like you were coaching your group on what to do on stage, along with josh in greta van fleet's representation. you two were basically organizing the set list and chatting about it. josh offered doing a collaborative cover, and your first choice was the who's "who are you". danny's ear were attentive as he watched you basically do the entire work. once the small reunion was over, he waited until everybody was busy to approach you.

"heard you're a the who fan, huh?" his soft voice took you off your train of thoughts, and you smiled at him in response. "that's pretty nice, i don't find many the who fans lately. i really like them too, which one is your favorite song?" and just like that, with the who as a weird but cool ice breaker, danny had you going off about your favorite band.

in jake's case i feel like it wouldn't be a collaborative stage, but a collaborative song. and i also feel like he would be the one finding your music and suggesting the boys to work together. he really admired your work and had even lurked around the internet, finding some interviews to get to know you more.

like it was the mention of his band that gave him the idea of working together. you arrived at their studio with your own guitar and some sheets of a song you had been working on. jake had previously told the boys about how big of a fan he was of you, and the boys weren't dumb. they noticed jake's enthusiasm working its way on him as you entered the room with a big smile. they stayed silently in the back, watching their brother and friend flirt with you shamelessly.

"you are even prettier in person" he suddenly spoke as you were unpacking your stuff. you blushed and complimented back, though jake was not going to let it go easily "i mean your music is breathtaking, i wish i could write lyrics the way you do. didn't know goddesses could be so poetic as well as beautiful" he could hear the soft chuckles from the boys, but he was too concentrated on his favorite singer to mind.
