The library's prize for completing summer reading this year was this lantern / flashlight combo thing and I finally got mine earlier and,, I just discovered that I love this thing. Never has a singular object made me want to go camping more. I turned all the lights off in my house just to walk around in the dark with it. Also I think it's a solution to that compulsion where I have to turn my phone flashlight on and off several times before I sleep because it's very bright + has a very satisfying way of pushing it shut to turn the light off, and the phone flashlight or repeatedly checking that nothing was wrong just didn't feel necessary tonight
