my dad has been having the same argument with my mum and my aunt for at least ten years now wherein they try to draw up a list of artists they consider 'musical geniuses' but cannot agree on who deserves a spot on the list. he refuses to admit bob dylan despite the cases they make and they in turn refuse to admit the collective of roxy music. it's picked back up at every family gathering it's never gotten anywhere and it's lasted longer than two of my aunt's husbands
