you'd think that having to study rizal's books extensively, twice (once in high school, once in university) I would get sick of them, but I... kinda want to revisit noli me tangere? and el fili, of course

#mine musings #i like el fili more than noli buuut it was built on top of all the events of noli so #like. basilio and simoun exist as they are bc of ibarra and sisa #i have fond memories of high school where we would put on little class plays for each chapter lmao #and i also remember a year when our assigned english book for that term was les mis and we would write reaction essays every few weeks #and i wrote something like “this kinda reads to me like a french version rizal's books" LMAO
