OKAY so here's my hot take.

Functionality wise, I can't argue. My only quarrel is with aesthetics (and also how thin the top and bottom white plates are. They just look like I can snap them easy. Which may or may not he true, I'd need to actually see and feel the console itself)

MOVING ON. White is just something I hate on pretty much anything and everything (even wedding dresses and anyone that knows me knows I love looking at wedding dresses bc p r e t t y). White in and of itself isn't really the "playstation" color; it's more an XBox/cell phone color (more evidence on my theory on XBox&Microsoft ruining consoles????) at least to me. I also feel like it will yellow with age? Like most white objects do? But then again by the time that happens, the ps5 will probably have aged out.

THE DISK DRIVE IS UGLY. It just looks kind of like a growth? It's super big and I don't know why.

I do like the splash of blue on it? Those may be the "on" lights. Idk.

The texture on the inside of the white plates is a DUST magnet. Please no. Tech is already a big ass dust magnet plz dont make it harder to clean.

Initial reaction: we get it away this is the epitome of everything I hate about console design.

Current reaction: still not the biggest fan but would like to reserve judgment for when I see it in person. Fuck white tho

Now Sony and Playstation own my ass so yeah I'll get a ps5 or ps5 pro (if they do that) but like. I'll probably wait for a Days of Play edition or something. Like my blue ps4

Side note WHY DOES EVERYONE BUT NINTENDO HATE COLOR IN THEIR CONSOLES. WHY
