Have you heard the rumor that season 4 will probably feature a whole new cast of characters? If that’s the case will you still watch? Personally, I would rather have more seasons with the original characters?

I've heared the rumour but nothing specific  cause there was nothing to be found of english about this newest rumour so far 🤔... To be honest I've expected that rumour cause there are so many circulating currently, I don't want to worry anybody but to name a few:

how many characters are going to die (more than just one) that even if they don't they will leave the series after s3 etc. etc. There are so many out there that I can't keep track of them anymore 😩.

The thing is. There have been rumours before s2 as well and the most of them were wrong. My guess is, nobody knows anything and even the news that there will be a 4th and 5th season doesn't have to be true. The source seemed to be credible but know that the news is out, Netflix could have reacted simply with a tweet or somethig. Of course they could have agreed to a 'time lapse' why they will only do whatever they want, starting the real promotion etc. when they have originally planed it to. But still.

So while I think the chances for a another season, as I was hoping that we would get one, or two seasons have increased I'm not sure what to think about all the other rumours.

I personally want the story to continue with the original cast cause for me this story has been about the characters and their stories in which them being students at Las Encinas has been only one part and not the most important one of this miniseries. It's a drama/ thriller about a murder in a very special style, told in past and present.

If they would continue with another cast, I would worry that they will loose their realism. I mean how often can you repeat a story? How many kids should die or get missing?

When talking about exact thay scenario with @death-of-astar a few days ago cause we have as I allready said expected this rumour when the one about s4 + s5 came out, that they would continue with a new cast...@death-of-astar said: “she would hate it if they would fall into thay cliche of repeating history” and I have to fully agree with her.

Two more things:

Especially this rumour must have become interesting to be spread because everybody is interested and speculating about the two new characters. Why 2 new characters for a half year? Are they going to stay at Las Encinas so thay there will be a new cast including the 2 new ones from s3?

The problem is, if they would stay they wouldn't be in the same class with the rest 😉.

But that's how easily rumours are created...

And this series has become as successful and popular because of its cast. They all have millions of followers, all because of Élite (maybe except Miguel Herran and Jaime Lorente) continuing without them won't work out.

I wouldn't like a new cast cause I don't want a new story, I want this one to end properly!! But mostly I would miss the original cast!!!
