i'm beginning to suspect some of you don't actually know how movies work
#like you have to know they wrote a screenplay for the movie right? like they weren't using the novel as a script...#why wasn't [omitted character or sequence] in the movie?!?! because movies are only 2 hours long you see#why was [random scene] in the trailer and not in the movie!?!!? well oftentimes movies have scenes that get deleted in the editing process#why did they change [specific dialogue from the book]?!??! because movies need to be thematically consistent with the story they're telling#i imagine the audience for rwrb skews young so i'm trying to be nice but some of these takes i'm seeing are ice cold#rwrb movie is certainly not immune to criticism but it is in fact a perfectly serviceable adaption of the book#rwrb
