the chaos unfolding outside is not lost to her, the last she's heard was her guard frantically yelling at her to remain inside the carriage, until he comes to get her. in hindsight, she realizes she should've done something other than just wait. maybe an extra hands would help them fend off the bandits quicker. she's no warrior, but she's known to be quite handy with a blade. maybe, if she had stepped out of the carriage sooner, she wouldn't come face-to-face with one of the attackers, or seen her carriage driver lying motionless on the ground. the logical move would be to follow the robber — or the savior — keep her head down until they're far enough away, and then slip away when there's a chance to, trusting her survival instinct to carry her the rest of the way. but there was something just as strong, if not stronger, than the survival instinct is one that she cannot turn away from. "please," she speaks, voice trembling just enough to betray the fear growing in her as she tears her stunned gaze away from the lifeless form of the driver and locks eyes with the man in front of her. "just leave us. i have money… you can take it all! everything else too! you can take everything!" if luck is on her side — and she desperately hopes it is — maybe the man on the ground is still breathing and she will find out some way to help him, stop the bleeding, find some medicine, something. " please leave, i have to help him."

verse: period/fantasy

plot: jun is really not cut out for this. but he (and some of his buddies- or well, acquaintances) are in the midst of robbing your carriage. jun opens to the door to find your muse, who he politely asks to leave. hahah he's a good guy, just very poor and in the wrong crowd. idk we can go anywhere with this!

he looks around anxiously as the three other man descend on the carriage below. jun does not remember signing up for kidnapping or killing- he simply wanted to take the person's coin and flee back to his farm. however, he watches in stunned silence as one of his acquaintances kills the carriage driver. fear runs through him. this wasn't supposed to be how to goes...or was this their plan all along? two of the men fight off a guard, while the third one approaches the door to the carriage. in and instant, jun is running to beat him there. "i cancel handle this one- you help the others," he finds himself saying. it sounds alien to him. but he's pretty sure he just saved the life of whoever was in there. he opens the carriage door to reveal whoever was inside. "it's time to go," he mutters, eyes glancing towards the fighting. "take your bag- i can get you out of here."
