I recall seeing this same theory on reddit a few weeks ago, and I feel the need to say the same thing about it on here that I said on here: while I do find it interesting that they ended up getting Jack and Malleus correct, I'm just really not sure I buy this being the pattern? I'd honestly be really surprised and kinda disappointed with quite a few of these being repeats (link is to a post of mine where I list out every birthday duo so far) of previous duos who already had birthday interviews together, such as Lilia-Epel, Floyd-Ortho, Azul-Kalim, and even Deuce-Jack, when there's never been a single repeat before. And in fact, the previous Deuce & Jack duo is one of the few exceptions to the fact that we've very rarely had birthday duos between clubmates (or even dormmates for that matter--they seem to prefer using the birthday duos for more unexpected/unusual combinations). I actually wouldn't mind seeing more of those (I would love to see Malleus-Silver and Vil-Ortho birthday duos, in fact), but I would be surprised to get so many in a single year. And I definitely wouldn't want to see so many repeats when there's such a huge variety of unique combinations to choose from. If they had to repeat previous birthday duos I'd personally only want it to be the ones from year 1, where the presenter was just Yuu instead of the actual character in the duo. I will say, though, that switching Jade and Floyd around and ending up with the Floyd-Azul and Ortho-Jade combinations you mentioned would solve those specific issues with repeating duos they already had!

Specific pairs that seem way too convenient and connected to be just a coincidence:

Treykei and Rookvil actually being birthday duos this time as already established character pairs by the story

Jack getting Malleus while Sebek is getting Leona. Housewarden swap lmao (or implying their parallels. Who knows)

Malleus. And Silver. Walking around a gallery filled with paintings of their counterparts fighting and killing each other. Discussing said paintings together. After their backstories have been revealed. All while Book 7 will probably still be ongoing. WHAT ARE YOU COOKING.

Also Vil and Ortho + Deuce and Jack. Club friendshipisms ^-^

There's also Silver and Ace which I'm not sure what that implies yet. Maybe if they'll both have a hand in defeating OB Malleus. Or they form a friendship when Diasomnia has to help Ramshackle via formula in Book 8. Or something else entirely. Who knows.

(Disclaimer on Jade and Floyd. Since they have the same birthday I don't really know who is listed first so while the rest of the list will be relatively unaffected there's also the possibility of it being this instead: Floyd - Azul, Jade - Sebek, Leona - Floyd, Ortho - Jade. Since the pattern is just everyone starting from Jamil will have a pair based off birthday from Everyone starting from Idia until it loops back)
