OKAY okay so. i said i had thoughts and here they are --

sao paolo!hinata who knows he can quit his delivery job on the weekends bc he's actually getting paid properly now but finds that he likes the routine of zooming around on his bike, of the interesting people he gets to meet.

sao paolo!hinata who always smells like sunscreen and sweat and sea salt, no matter how frequently he showers, who grins so wide it might just blot out the sun; who meets you by accident one day during a pickup game on the beach, but you remember him from a delivery he made to your apartment once and he remembers you too.

sao paolo!hinata who's mostly gotten over how shy and awkward he'd been in highschool, and is way more charismatic now than he realizes, who still laughs with his whole chest and says whatever is on his mind, but his voice is deeper now, his eyes just a tad bit darker, his features grown up and solid.

sao paolo!hinata who only vaguely registers that people stare when he takes off his tanktop on the beach, who chalks it up to casual curiosity, but he can't quite ignore the way you flush and jerk your eyes away from his torso, or the way his own flesh prickles with heat at the revelation that he's doing this to you.

sao paolo!hinata who offers to put sunblock on you and buy you a pina colada, bc he's had a sip before and it was super yummy, who very nearly smirks when you offer to return the favor, pressing the bottle of sunblock into your hands and turning to tug off his shirt with a single hand, pulling it up over his back just to leave you reeling at the reams of muscle that shift and flex just beneath his perfectly tanned skin.

sao paolo!hinata who jokes about his insane tan lines, but isn't as oblivious as everyone thinks he is to the way you go quiet when you're lathering his back with a generous layer of sunscreen; who has to fight down shivers as you rub your palms over his skin, ask if this is okay, if your hands aren't too cold.

sao paolo!hinata who laughs with you during breaks, lounges back on his elbows, peering at you from over his shades, who casually mentions that he has a game the following weekend and that he'd love it if you'd come.

sao paolo!hinata who still acts like an excitable teenage boy when you blush and nod and tell him that you'll be there; who kinda loses his mind when he gets home later that day and realizes that he'd just kinda sorta asked you out on a date, but is it really even a date? pedro assures him that it is, and only makes things worse by offering his unsolicited opinions on what hinata should and shouldn't do after the match, which leaves him even more nervous than he'd been originally.

sao paolo!hinata who knows he's still got a long way to go, but is also proud of his own progress, who wants to show you how amazing indoor volleyball is, and shows up at your apartment with his delivery bike, apologizing about not having a fancy car, but you don't care. you hop on and loop your arms around his middle, rest your chin on his shoulder, and tell him that you wouldn't have it any other way. who takes you to the match and tells you "keep your eyes on me, okay? i'll show you something incredible."

to which you reply, "you're already incredible, shou."

sao paolo!hinata who is way too hype after winning the match, bounds off the court and into the first level of spectators just to pull you into a hug, who kisses you before he's even asked you out on a proper date, but you don't mind. and when he pulls back, half-pleased, half-embarrassed, you tell him as much. to which his only reply is to kiss you some more, never mind the reporters and the legions of fans waiting for his signature, or his cackling teammates who will likely never let him live this down -- but he doesn't really care about that, now does he.

sao paolo!hinata who eventually does take you out on a "proper" date, complete with a fancy dinner and an expensive bottle of wine (that his teammates had recommended he look into, obviously), but admits halfway through that he's not really sure what he's doing or if he's doing it right -- you take his hand in yours and give him a squeeze, reassuring him that there are no rules when it comes to stuff like this --

"like what?" he asks, his eyes sparkling in the dim flickering firelight of the candle set between the pair of you.

you crinkle your nose and blush, but you say the words anyways, the delicious food and good wine having parred down the walls of your inhibitions --

"like falling in love, duh."

he laughs. and you think it's the most beautiful sound in the world.

this Christmas I wanted to address some dream smp blogs on this funny hell of a site who actually made me enjoy my dream smp/dnf brainrot so much and made my 2 months of staying here in this community very fun and inspiring and joyful! some of them I’m mutuals with, some of them don’t know I exist, but either way I hope you guys are cool with this post and don’t think it’s creepy or whatever :) I wanted to express my respect and gratitude for you and to wish you a Merry Christmas <3 this is about to get parasocial as hell so prepare to cringe a bit lol. I’m also going to confess to sending some of the anons aka to embarrass myself. but it’s fun so here we go (veryyy looong post under this pic)
