I wanted to show you guys our new peacock friend Peadro (the giant peacock who was here when we moved in was named Pedro and we figure timeline-wise it's probably his kid)

He's gotten comfortable enough to come up on our porch with us as long as we stay at a respectful distance!

He's missing a toe and has what looks like a scar or a rash on his neck, if anyone knows what's up with that/what to do about it hmu

#i don't know if he actually belongs to anyone but he comes back every day so if he does they don't seem to be keeping him very safely #so if mites are causing his rash idk if I should just try to do something to our yard to help him or if it'd be worth trying sevin dust??#I've been googling to see what that could be #it's been there the whole time and tbh I can't tell if it's spreading because his colors are still coming in and he's de-fluffing all over #i haven't seen any bugs on the feathers he's dropped while collecting them so idk I just want him to be happy and healthy #peacock #peacock care #or maybe he just has weird patches naturally because it looks like he was just born without that toe
