Hi!!

So, I've seen you say a few times that you were into kpop at one point. Which groups were/are you into? Were you a blink?

Ooh boy.

Okay, so I gotta give a little rundown to explain myself here 😅 the first time I got into kpop was like 2016 and I was just a casual listener. Stumbled across Bang Bang Bang by BigBang and then found a Playlist and just kind of jammed. Then, after a couple of months, it just kind of faded into the background, and I didn't really listen to much between then and 2020.

In 2020 I rediscovered kpop while I was rehabbing an injury and relearning how to walk (needed those good high bpm songs to listen to while going on walks) and it just sort of grabbed hold of me and wouldn't let go. Of course, quarantine only made it worse, I think and I actually got into the fandom side of kpop.

There hasn't really just been one group that I've solely listened to. I've always been just a whatever matches the vibe kind of listener. I'll listen to anything by any group if I like how it sounds basically.

The first group I learned all the members' names in was BTS. I wouldn't call myself an Army, but I do like their music and really respect what they've done for the industry. I was a Blink for a bit, but then they've just been so neglected with comebacks and releasing anything, really. I still like their music just...wish they did more ya know?

The first group that I really stanned was Stray Kids 🫣 if you've been on my main blog (or ao3) you know how deep I was in the trenches with them. I still listen to their stuff and like them a lot. Then, as is wont to happen when you stan Skz, I found Ateez and became an Atiny and now Ateez is my ult group.

I like a lot of other groups. Got7, Shinee, NCT, Xdinary Heroes, TXT, Seventeen, etc.

I was primarily a boy group stan because I didn't really like super bubble gum pop type music when I first started listening to kpop. Then, as one does, as I got more and more familiar with it I've come to like a lot of girl groups. Twice is my ult girl group (Momo is my ult bias ����).

I also listen to Itzy, (G)I-dle, Mamamoo, Dreamcatcher, Purple Kiss, Le Sserafim, Red Velvet, Viviz, etc.

I listen to a lot of groups, I like a lot of groups, the ones I mentioned are ones I either know a lot (or all) the members in or ones that frequent my most listened to playlists lol.
