maybe it was just a cool visual but like...is anyone else curious about what would've happened if Lin Ling gave into the fear in his first battle? Like, fear seems to function the same as trust (or belief or faith or whatever) since his old boss said his workers' fears of getting laid off powered him but it kinda seems like Lin Ling was gonna get infected by the fear after doubting himself (fear in another sense, I guess)?

anyway had another random thought about how faith and fear go hand in hand in religion and in general (machiavelli-esque kinda thing, y'know?) and just like, what if a hero becomes so powerful people become as scared as they are reverent of them and they end up turning into villains?
