#YES THEM BEING THERE IS EXACTLY WHY I TOLD MY BROTHER TO GO THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE ('there' being tower records in japan)#but i find it so funny that the cashier actually remarked on that fact too#anyway. you need to know that i'm feeling so very AAAAHHHH right now. all of these are such a big deal to me#i didn't think i'd actually own KMH ON VINYL at any point#also utterly shocked about the guerilla toss CD. very exciting to have that one too#they're one of my fav bands and i implore everyone who likes unhinged and very experimental and cacophonic rock to check them out#this album (eraser stargazer) isn't the most accessible thing there is out there but i really love it#(i don't even know how to describe it properly. it's just really something to behold anyway)#the plushie is also a gift from my brother!! i'll gladly take any name suggestions for him#oh and also sparks debut album. first album that i own both on CD and vinyl as of today#it's not even that it's my fav sparks album or anything (i do really love it though and it's definitely somewhere in my top ten)#it's just that some albums feel more like they 'fit' with the vinyl format than CD in sound. to me at least#one other example of that besides this one being gratsax#ok i think that's all i have to say about this. one of the most epic hauls of my life that's for sure#OH WAIT one more thing. somewhat unfortunate actually#which is that my brother said he's pretty sure he saw a latte vinyl#but when he passed by that section again like 10 minutes later he already couldn't find it. oh latte.......#it's ok i'll have it one day. i'm really curious what went down there though. did someone really snag it in those 10 minutes???#and yes in case you're worried i did thank my brother profusely for getting me all this#and now i'm going to force him to listen to the TMBG vinyl with me so that he's PREPARED FOR THE CONCERT#that's in 3 months and that he's know about for a year and a half. ok i'm done now#goosepost

I know expecting Congress to get anything right these days is like expecting to see a triple rainbow in the Arctic, but if we could just get sticky, scratchy, awful cardboard sleeves for physical media discs illegalized, that would just be lovely!
#cd#cd collection#cd collector#physical storage media#physical media#dvd#blu ray#sorry to spoil that collection post i was just teasing but my beatles red and blue remix albums just came in#and both blue album discs got so messed up by damaged sleeves that it feels like a miracle that the flac files seemed to be ripped properly#it seems they basically changed nothing besides the back text and booklet from the packaging of the 2010 cd versions#not good since at least the white album and 1 remix cd's had digipak slots just how it should be#(don't know about the other remix cd's since i only have white album and the version of 1 with the dvd but still)#i have a few sleeve cd's like this but none nearly as bad this#and don't even get me started on dvd's and blu rays like this!#i can't even count how many dvd's and blu ray's i've either bought or wanted to buy separate replacement cases for#(although admittedly a good chunk of them aren't sleeves but just bad cases or disc holders)#please better apple (or sony or paul and ringo or giles or whoever handles these cd's) never do sleeves again#the beatles#bad packaging

#i thot i had more tbh but like. thats a lot.#the stack on top in the first pic is mostly classical and also jacques brel and les colocs. for some reason#and the stack in pic 3 are library cds not mine theyre just chilling#anyways spot the neil fan#they do have an order and it makes sense to me but kittimu was confused so idk maybe it doesnt. very possible#except for the fact that billy joel and that one byrds album are both inexplicably out of their places#i have no idea why theyre there#i used to have a bunch more reggae and some other 90s alt but i got rid of them a few months ago#i pared down the jayhawks collection and removed the bob marley + tragically hip + barenaked ladies collections#also some other misc 90s alt that i didnt like anymore#i wish i held onto them cause i coulda sold them but i think my mom took em to the salvation army#music#anyways im off to do some slight rearranging#also while i have this collection i also share my dad’s collection which has considerably more alt and indie and surf#which is fine by me cause it means i dont have to buy those

Got back from my super fun concert last night where I got to see not one, not two, but FOUR bands live! Which also means that I came home with a fun amount of merch! ....For me at least, got one item from each band whereas I was watching other people leave with like i stg the entire shirt/sweater collection from their favourite bands fhdjdlsbd
Anyways, the bands that I got to see were:
Escape the Fate
Hollywood Undead
Falling in Reverse
and Papa Roach
God the night was so fun and my throat hurt from screaming for like 5 straight hours. Totally worth it and I'm so glad that I decided to go 🤘
#Not pictured are two cds i also bought#But those were just the newest albums for both papa roach and hollywood undead#And at $20 each thats a pretty normal price for a new album here so those dont even count as merch imo#As everyone can probably tell though i def went for cool designs on shirts over actual tour ones#Which means that the hollywood undead one is actually my least fav of the bunch lol#Both for saving the simplist design and the cheapest basic ass tshirt fabric they could have gotten#Like that shit is the basic ass gildan brand and i would know#Still gonna wear it though causd its not an umcomfortable shirt by any means its just doesnt feel as nice or soft#But god last night only got me more excited for may when i actually get to see disturbed!#Like for these four bands i only knew a handful of songs really well#And while i knew two of them fairly well#I was only tangentially familiar with the other two#But i know disturbed's entire discography by heart#But if im being honest this really just convinced me to go ahead and buy those tickets for metallica in august when i get paid next#Which im not even gonna buy for metalloca hilariously enough#Im gonna get them solely cause i *really* want to see their openers over them#Which for those curious are ice nine kills and five finger death punch#This does mean that my concerts for this year are up a full 300% than usual#Cause ignoring a small one i went to go and see just after easter last year#My last concerts where shania twain and keith urban like ten years ago when i still lived in saskatchewan fhdkdlxhdjd
