This whole X rebrand is a shitshow. For one, when they tried to rebrand the Twitter building (which they're being sued for for not paying rent) the cops came and shut them down because they didn't get permits. Secondly, the logo they're plastering all over everything is technically an "interim logo" and seems to have been straight up taken - but not licensed! - from the Special Alphabets 4 font. And the pièce de résistance? Meta, previously known as Facebook, actually owns the trademark for X in the US. Considering that Zuck and Musk were in talks to have a literal MMA cage match over Musk getting his shorts in a twist over Threads and calling Zuck a cuck just a little while back I can't see Meta not throwing gobs of money at their lawyers to crush this case like a beer can at a frat party.

i had not looked into it that deeply... but yeah maybe that post is right. maybe the muskrat is trying to drive twitter into the ground to get a tax writeoff... i'm honestly just glad i got rid of it as soon as it was announced that he was taking over. i know a lot of people don't have the luxury because of their businesses and promos and stuff, so... good luck to anyone stuck with that shit
