“Well, I'm your Idiot.”
Peter Parker x Reader
Tumblr media
!!Tw: None!!
Summary: You have been in a Relationship with Peter for almost Two years and He finally decided it's time to pop the question and also It's time for you to meet Tony.
A|N: in this Story, Tony adopted Peter after his Aunt died. Just a little info so you don't get confused! (also this story is completely Gender neutral so Everyone can enjoy this one again!)
_________________________________________
Peter called you in the Middle of the Night to tell you that He's on his way to pick you up,You were already sitting on your couch in your pyjamas but you got up to change. It was almost normal for you to have these situations since Peter always tries to surprise you when you're least expecting it, You thought it was cute even if it was this Late. You put on some casual clothes and grabbed everything you needed(Like keys and your wallet) and made your way outside of your Apartment, to your surprise He was already standing in front of you.
“Hey,-” you wanted to ask him if he was okay since he was trying to catch his breath like he just ran a Marathon, but you guessed he Would Tell you anyways.
“So- I might Have been in a Fight and well i just thought about you and-,” you stopped him and smiled,
“Peter? Darling? Just tell me what happened slowly.” You said as your boyfriend gave you a smile back.
“So when I was fighting these Criminals, one of them asked me why I would risk my life and what my loved ones would say and it kinda got me thinking and-” He sighed before looking at you with his puppy eyes, You couldn't help it but to 'awwweee' at that sight.
“I want you to meet Tony, you mean the absolute world to me and i finally want to let my loved ones know eachother.” he said it with such a Calm voice that it made you realize that there was something more that he didn't want to say, but you've known him for years and you could tell that he was scared of something.
“Alright, You know i would do anything for you, Sweetheart.” His face lit up again as you placed a hand on his cheek, you gave him a Small kiss on the forehead before your boyfriend grabbed you around your waist and pulled you closer to him. He pulled out his phone and Called someone who you Understood was called 'Happy' and before you knew it just minutes after there was a car standing infront of your House, peter took your hand and Got into the car. It started to drive and you leaned your head against Peter's shoulder, still holding his hand tightly as he looked outside the window.
“We're here.” He softly said as the car stopped at a street, When you both got out you saw the Stark tower and to be complete honest it was intimidating but you would do everything for peter and well what's the worst that could happen ?
When you arrived with the elevator, you could smell Fresh Food in the air and hear faint sounds of someone Humming a song which you recognized as an AC/DC one. Peter led you into a Big Room that you were sure was the Living room, He didn't let go of your hand as you looked around.
“Tony? Dad?” He called out for the Genius, who happened to be around the corner when he turned his head towards you two. “Peter, hey didn't Knew you were coming.” he said softly as he walked towards you and stopped infront of you, he eyed you up and down before holding out his hand while smiling. “You must be Y/N right? Peter always talks about you, sometimes it's all he talks about. nice to finally meet the Person that makes my Son so happy.” He said the first part with abit of annoyance in his voice before softening again and looking over to Peter who's face was flushing red at the last part. “It's also an Honour to meet You, Mr. Stark.” you said sweetly as you gave peter's hand a soft squish to make him look at you, you couldn't resist but to Smile when you looked at the Bright red face of your Sweet Boyfriend.
“Do you want to eat something? I've ordered in some Really Delicious food! You're going to love it.” He said as he led you two towards a table full with Different food and also many of your favorites. “Wow, it looks amazing!” peter exclaimed as he slowly let go of your Hand to sit down, but before he did so he pulled your chair out and made sure that you sat comfortably.
“Sweetheart, are you coming?” Tony called out before a Beautiful blonde woman entered the Room with a very nice jumpsuit on. (Looks like a dress but actually is a Top and some Pants) She walked towards you and gave you a big And soft Hug before introducing herself, “Nice to finally Meet you, I'm pepper.” she gave you a Big smile before Tony mentioned; “And also Mrs. Stark, my Incredible wife.” She gave him a little eye roll before she seated herself next to him, You all shared a lot of Laughs talking about Peter's clumsiness and Pepper telling you about The story how they met eachother and all in all it was a Great dinner.
After all of you finished eating, it was time. Peter couldn't wait any longer and just wanted to finally ask you, He took your hand and smiled, “I want to show you something.” He walked with you outside onto the Balcony, the view was Fantastic and the moment was just right.
“Y/N, we've been through so much in these last Two years. You were there for me when my Aunt died, you helped through my Darkest times and never questioned when I came to your house with bruises and Cuts. All you ever did was give me your love and Time and i really Wish I could repay you for how much you gave me and-” He stopped to look at you, You stood infront of him with teary eyes and a soft smile that made him feel easy again. He took your hands and looked deep into your eyes, not letting go of your hands. “I wanted to ask you this for so long and I just can't wait any longer, you mean the world to me and i can't imagine what my life would look like without you, my Darling.” He let one of your hands go as he kneeled down and pulled a little box out of his Pocket.
You were shaking, You couldn't think straight it was like all your emotions over ran you at once. You loved peter more then anything and you knew what was about to happen, it was like time had stopped when you saw him kneeling down.
“Y/N L/N, will you Marry Me?” He looked at you with his Puppy dog eyes that were filled with Tears, You started to cry as you got on your knee's and hugged him tightly.
“Yes! I do.” you said while pulling away to look into his eyes, when he heard your answer the tears ran down his face. He couldn't be happier then right now in this moment, all the worries he had before Vanished in that moment. He pulled you into a Hug once more before he opened the little box and Put the ring on your finger, You placed your hands on the sides of his face and kissed him. You two shared a Soft and Long kiss before you both parted, what you didn't realize before Was that There was Clapping coming from the Inside. Tony and pepper watched you two the whole time and gave you Proud looks, When you both stood up they walked over to you and hugged you. “I'm so happy for you two.” Pepper said as she let go of you, Tony hold out his hand before laughing and Hugging you tightly. “Welcome to the Stark Family, Y/N.”
After Peter Brought you back Home again, you two sat on your stairs just Letting the day slowly Pass by. “I didn't sleep for days because I was so worried that i would Mess this up. I'm so happy to finally be with you and Make my own little Family.” he said it softly as he looked at you with a Adorable dorky smile “From now on, you'll get enough sleep! I should be really mad at you for that but Gosh, you make me so Happy.” you said as you leaned your head against his Shoulder , letting out a soft sigh. “Idiot.” “Well, I'm your Idiot.” he said as he kissed your Hand on which your ring was, He looked back at the night sky and sighed peacefully. “You should go back, your dad might get worried.” “Hmm, i rather stay with my Incredible Partner.” He said Softly before he lift you up bridal style and carried you inside of your Home.
This was all he ever dreamed off, Having you in his arms and knowing that You two will have a Long future together.
From this Night on you were apart of the Stark Family and They made you feel Welcome in their Home, Peter was the Happiest men because of you.
Tony and Pepper (of course) planned the wedding and it was a Big event, even if only Family friends and your and Peters friends were invited.
At your wedding day, you two were more then nervous but when it was over it was the best day of your Two life's.
You were finally his Official Partner , you were Y/N Parker.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
We were now back together for good. Our pain to be inside those cells awaiting to be brainwashed again by the Perseus Collective and lamenting ourselves about our fates were finally over despite the hard moments we had to face to escape this hell. I managed to survive that Bell and I was able to feel Park's presence near me in days....we did it but our fight against Perseus is very far from over and now, because of our state and the conditions we've been facing, the others preferred to send us back to England....my new home I can say....yeah, England is my home now, we're going home....
Me & Park spent the rest of the day to relax, not forgetting to tell her everything that happened to me in those 2 weeks & she also did, explaining that she was suffering the same fate as me : been kept for some tests with Adler that apparently did have the same results as the one I did with him but when I cracked up under the pressure, she told me that they were starting to hurt her an little, to make her face the pain she faced back in North Korea before they decided to make the drugs tests on her until me & Sonya liberated her...she was able to keep faith...
Now, the next day in the evening, the 17th of June was the day of our departure from Verdansk and of course, we were both able to find back our old stuff we couldn't take to our mission in the Yamantau, putting my hands again on my diary that I haven't write for days now and to me, I even had to look back at everything in it to make sure that it wasn't vandalized by someone here and hopefully, it was all clean.
"Already preparing your bags ?" That was Woods asking to us as he was seeing me & Park at our respectives desk in the safehouse that was empty today with only me, Park, Woods & Sims present here as Wolf & Song were gone for the day in Verdansk.
"As you said, the plane that will take us can arrive at any moment." I was the one to reply to him after I finished to pack up my bag, keeping my diary near by out of it. "So, we prefer to be directly ready once it arrived." I added.
"Yeah but you're looking an bit overexcited to leave the place." He stated with an raised eyebrow.
"Why we can't be ?" Park spoke up in an half-funny tone, moving to help her as we were told, drugs were still inside our systems and I was sometimes afraid for her with that fact. "It's better for us to return to London than...be here." She continued, rolling her eyes around the main room.
"I'm joining you in that part to be somewhere else than here." He revealed to us, making me laugh as in the room, he was the person that spend the most time here.
"At least, we're leaving." I exclaimed, helping Park with an part of her stuff.
"With what happened, it was sure that the MI6 wasn't going to let you here but you both know that you will one day come back to work with us." He said, crossing his arms.
"We know." Me & Park both whispered in unison, knowing well that our fight with Perseus isn't done.
"Hey, just saying." Woods was thinking that we weren't happy about it, gesturing that it wasn't his fault before he saw our smiles on our faces when we saw him like that.
"I just wonder of something, Woods." I started after I was finished to help Park with her bag as I moved to reach my diary, an question. "Is anyone has tried to put their hands on my diary ?" I demanded from him, showing my diary to him.
"You better answer, Woods." Park adviced, an grin on her face as she was sitting back on her chair.
"No, not at all." He responded, sounding very sure of his words but for me, he was hiding something.
"Woods." I muttered, still holding the diary.
"What ?" He breathed, confused.
"Tell me the truth : did anyone of you read my book ?" I repeated my question, putting an threatening tone to my voice to him. If I had to put an scare in him if I can, so be it !
"Yirina, like I told you, no one read your book." He affirmed again, making the same gesture like before and he was sounding good enough to convince me to resign myself. "I was the one to avoid the others to do it, you know how Wolf was when he saw you with it." He make me remember that moment in the plane and hopefully, I was pleased that Woods was the one to be 'the protector'.
"It's all I wanted to hear, thanks !" I expressed my gratitude to him before I moved back to put my diary back in my bag along with Lazar's one and seeing it along mine...it was making something to me..."If only he was still here..." I talked to myself in an very low voice about Laz'....Park noticing me but staying silent about it.
"I don't know how much time you will be out but it's sure that you will come back." Woods told us again about it, looking at the wide opened main door leading to the outside. "We'll try to keep you updating about the situation and see if the MI6 can help us from afar." He continued, removing himself from the desk he was leaned on.
"We'll see how it goes." I commented about it before fully closing my bag, my eyes looking at Park and smiling at her, reciprocated by her. "You're alright ?" I asked her.
"Yeah, I'm just impatient to be on that plane." She replied in an low voice, seeing her face almost white.
"Go take some water, you're looking pale." I suggested to her and she quickly nodded and by luck, there were just an bottle of water on the desk near by, causing her to take it and drink it entirely. "Not so fast."
"I'm good, Yiri, don't worry." She reassured me despite the low voice she was still having.
"With drugs in your systems, it wasn't the best idea to keep you here." Woods exclaimed, true in his words, I was maybe more resistant to the drugs even if there were some moments I could feel bad but it was dangerous to stay here. "And now, you all going back to London."
"I guess we missed home." I smiled an bit to him about that.
"I think that you will happy to find back your friend, 'Zed' and their girlfriend, Portnova." He confided to me as I was taking my bag in hands.
"I know, I...." I was going to continue to speak until I stopped myself, troubled by an little thing from him. "Wait....how did you know that Portnova was their girlfriend ?" I asked him as it was something I never mentioned.
"Well, you told me that." He responded, seeing an little drop of sweat on his face.
"Woods, Yirina never spoke about it at all." Park spoke up, taking my defence as both of us were realizing that Woods wasn't 'the protector' of my book because he read it.
"You read my book !" I raised an eyebrow, sending him an deadly glare as I was ready to move towards him, mixed between be angry & joking.
"Listen, I can...."
"The reinforcements has arrived !" We all heard Sims voice, cutting Woods in his words,  coming inside the main room through the main entrance as we could hear noises from an incoming plane arriving near by. "Did I....step in the wrong moment ?" He questioned us, seeing me & Woods.
"Not at all." I replied to him with an grin, going back to normal.
"Good, you should be coming then." Sims ordered, going back outside as Woods was quickly following him to avoid my angriness to hit him.
As our presence here was ending, it was time to take our bags and leave that safehouse maybe for forever. To avoid Park to be bad at any moment because of her state, I volunteered to take her bag in my hands, now holding hers & mine as we both go out of the safehouse, staying near her at any occasions as we could observe an small private jet plane landing on the runway...I wonder how the CIA is managing an runway without been discovered by the soviets in here.
Now, we were with Woods & Sims awaiting to see the persons that will replace me & Park here but I was surprised when it was only one person coming out of the plane with an bag in their hands : it was an woman with black hair that was almost looking like Park and Woods was the first one to greet her as she was getting out of the plane to put her feets on the ground.
"Hello, miss Petrov, welcome to Verdansk." He saluted her, sounding nice as he was offering his hand.
"Oh, you must be the famous Sergeant Woods." The woman said in an lovely voice to him before she moved her hand to shake it with him. "I'm Liliya Petrov, you can call me Liliya." She presented herself clearly to him.
"Uhm..." Woods was looking to blush on his face....that was an first...."Liliya, this is Yirina Grigoriev & Helen Park from the MI6." He gestured to us as we moved to shake hands, me having to put the bags down to do that. "They're the persons you're replacing as an cryptographer."
"I heard an lot about you two, to be honest." Liliya said to us in an good voice, meaning that everything was rather nice than bad...at least, that what I hope. "I'm glad to meet you."
"Us too." Park spoke for me & herself and we were sharing the same feeling about her.
"I heard that you were one of the best cryptographer in the CIA, is that right ?" I demanded as I was just curious about it.
"I don't want to say that I'm the best, I'm just doing my part of the work." She responded honestly and it was enought for me to be convinced by her good side. "And I hope that I will continue to be doing that." She added before turning around to look at Woods. "And I'm very happy to be working with you, sergeant."
"Please, call me Woods." He told her in an voice that was sounding stunned by her.
"Or Frank if...well, I'm thinking too far." She thought before she shook an little her head, taking back the bag she left on the ground.
"Sims, you can show her desk, I'll be coming soon to do the rest." He ordered to Sims, trying to look away, seeing the blush on his face as Sims was moving with Liliya to get inside the safehouse, leaving me, Park & Woods near the plane that will take us away.
"Is there love in sight for the famous Sergeant Woods ?" I scoffed about that as I never thought to see Woods blush in my entire life.
"Oh, damn you, Yirina." He said, urging to make me an middle finger, still blushing.
"Remember that you read my book as I forbidden it, so get lucky that you're not the one to be damned." I attacked him back on the subject with an clear voice before I offered my hand to him. "Guess it's time for us to leave now." I said, now ready to leave the USSR.
"Yeah, I hope you will be recovering fine during your vacation." He told us as he moved to shake hands with Park in an slower way before he let us to get inside the plane. "Goodbye, enjoy your moments." He added as we were getting inside the plane.
Park was the first one to get inside, staying behind her with the bags in my hands as we both installed at the first seats we could see, facing each other and putting our bags away as the plane was starting to take off but like I thought, Park wasn't feeling so well and it was better that she was going into sleep now for the whole flight back to England, surely arriving back in the early morning next day. She was quickly to sleep after I handed over an nice blanket to her and me...I wasn't sleeping.
There were an thought in me, urging to...take an look at Lazar's diary in my bag and for the first minutes of the flight over the USSR, I was resisting the urge until I resigned myself to take it in my bag but as I wanted, I will only read one single page of it as I didn't want to give myself too much pain by reading what Lazar wrote on it.
---------------------------------------------------
Eleazar 'Lazar' Azoulay
First entry :
1st June 1976
After an long time, I was finally given the right to be an full operative on the field by the Mossad and as thoughts were given to me, I decided to write on my own in this diary even if I don't know if I could really write an lot due to the missions I will be given in an short time but I can start by presenting myself, why not ?
I was born in Washington D.C, the 25th of October 1948 but I only lived two years in the US before my father moved the family in Israel after he accepted an job at Tel Aviv. My life went pretty basic except the part where I was exceding in every domain in sports.
I moved in London to make my studies, gaining at that time the perfect nickname of 'Lazar' that I prefer before I became an member of the Israeli Defences Forces and then, some years later, the Mossad recruited me as an explosives expert but also because of my skills in the field.
With that new role in my life, it's time to do something right !
----------------------------------------------
Right in front of my eyes was the handwriting of Lazar himself, giving me details about an part of his life and I wanted to read more but it was at this moment that I saw that some pages were removed from the diary as the next page I could see was talking about something years later and by that, I was an bit disgusted to witnessing the missing page and because of it, I put the diary back in my bag, not wanting to read it for an long time before going back to my seat....only wanting now to go to sleep....
When I opened my eyes, I was leaned against the wall of an room that was looking like an interrogation room but I wasn't the captive but one of the captors with Freya herself as we were keeping an man, tied up to an chair by his legs & only his left arm free and by looking at it, he was badly hurt, his shirt almost fully blooded, his face messed up along with his hair while Freya was in front of him at the other side of the table between the two.
On that table, there were an map of an region and as I could see from where I was, it was in Afghanistan...Afghanistan....1980...That map was something of interest as Freya was trying to have something from interest as Freya's hands were tapping on that map multiples times, we were trying to find something from him and I wasn't willing to raise my hands on the man but Freya was the one to do that, seeing the bloods on her fingers.
"Are you going to speak or what ?" Freya asked him furiously, slamming her hands again on the table. "Tell us where are the mujahideens are hiding in those mountains !" She clarified her question to him but he wasn't speaking.
"I don't know." The man replied but that wasn't enough for Freya who punched him hard in the face. "Please, let me go, please." He pleaded after the punch, almost crying.
"Listen..." I started, deciding to step in the interrogation. "Do you have family, sir ?" I demanded to him in an curious tone as Freya moved aside to let me get in front of him.
"Yes...two boys...and an little girl." He responded to me, looking at me scared.
"Do you see this place on the map ?" I pointed to him, an place on the map that was an small village near some mountains and he nodded. "This village is starving to death and the soviets are planning to move to give resources to the people." I added, staying serious. "But the mujahideens want to attack the soviets and loot anything from them, including the resources."
"I...." He was in an loss of words when I was speaking.
"This village is full of children, of innocent people and they are dying because of the mujahideen presence and if they succeed in their attack, the village will not survive." I make myself clear to him, moving my hands away from the map. "So, please, tell us where they are hiding, you could save an lot of lives and...by tonight, you could be back with your childs." I said, speaking the truth here.
"There ! They're hiding there !" He whispered, moving his only free arm towards an position on the map, an few mountains away from the village I pointed to him before I pull out an pen to make an circle of where he was showing me the location.
"Good, thank you, sir." I thanked him in an good voice, putting my pen back in my pocket and then, also the map. "You saved an lot of innocents today and we will let you go back to your family." I added, turning my back around to get the map back into my jacket.
"Wait, no..." I heard him say loudly until the sound of an pistol echoed in the room and when I looked around, jumpscared, the man was now having an bullet in the head...Freya...aiming her pistol to him.
"What the fuck was that ?" I yelled against her, angry about what she did. "He gave us the intel, why did you do this ?" I demanded furiously.
"No loose ends, didn't you hear Perseus ?" She asked me back normally as she was putting her pistol back in its holstler. "We couldn't let this man talk freely about us." She continued, turning around to look at me. "This is our job, Yirina."
"No, I didn't agree on killing innocents and you too !" I shouted to her, trying to put the good senses in her.
"No one is fucking innocent in this world." She exclaimed in an angry voice, moving to face me as my eyes drifted for an few seconds on the dead man. "This is how Perseus think."
"Not me and you too, what happened ?" I told her as she put her hands on my arm.
"I'm perfectly fine, Yirina." She replied with an grin that I couldn't make back on my face after what she did. "I'm doing this for the good of us, our own good, remember your proposal to me." She whispered, putting her hand on my cheek as I was looking down.
"I don't know." I muttered.
"We could talk to Perseus about an wedding, you know." She proposed like that, like if she was completely forgetting what she did before she moved to make an kiss on my lips.
"You changed, Freya, you changed !" I proclaimed, removing her hands off my face in an gentle way.
"No, I never changed, it isn't me who changed." She claimed, surely thinking about me as she start to move away from me. "The cleaners will took his body away, come." She suggested, arriving to open the main door of the room as I was still standing at my position, still shocked like if I could feel his blood on my hands....
"Come on, Yiri, it's time for us to be going home !"

With a grunt muffled by his pillow, Dean wakes up. He keeps his eyes closed, enjoying the blissful slumber for a moment. A familiar song echoes through the room; he recognizes the peculiar intro after a few beats, identifying it as an Eagles song. He sighs and smiles, relieved. He’s relaxed, well rested and pain free; thank God for vicodin. Strangely, though, he didn’t remember the radio playing when he fell asleep. Then he notices the sound of the shower running. It’s only now, when Dean opens his eyes, rubs his face and looks over his shoulder. While licking his lips, he stares at the purple clock on the wall; it’s almost 7 PM.
Tumblr media
“Aren’t you a bit late for your play date?” he comments, loud enough for Sam to hear him, as he slides off the bed.      Still a bit sleepy he pads over to the bathroom entrance, barefoot. As he does, Dean glances at the table, where he remembers Sam dumped most of his stuff. His laptop is set up, buzzing like it’s sawing down an entire forest. Next to the table he notices a half emptied duffel bag. Only his own old leather jacket hangs from the coat hanger; Sam’s is missing. The alarm bells start ringing in his head by the time he notices that his car keys aren’t on the little cabinet next to the bed where he left them; his brother isn’t here. But if he isn’t, who is?
In three large strides he is next to the bed and grabs his gun from under the pillow, then sneaks up to the bathroom again as he flips the safety switch off. Although he was fast asleep a minute ago, he’s wide awake now. Adrenaline rushes through his veins when he enters the bathroom, his weapon ready to fire between both hands. Instead of some supernatural creature, which he was prepared for, he stumbles on Zoë, wearing nothing but a bathrobe.      “No, I’m right on time,” she answers, grinning.      “Zoë?! For fuck's sake!” Dean lowers his gun and breathes out. “What are you doing here?”      She turns to him and crosses her arms in front of her chest with the usual attitude.      “Let's start over: ‘Hi, Zo, nice to see you!’”      “Well, if I said that, I’d be lying,” Dean responds, not amused by her unexpected visit.      “Oh, come on. You’re not still cranky, are you?” she chuckles.      He walks out, pushing his gun under his pillow again. It’s just now that he notices the music is coming from Zoë’s Macbook, which she has installed near the window, the curtains hiding the device from plain sight.      “I am still mad, as a matter of fact. So for the second time; what are you doing here?” he asks again, grumpily.      “There was a fuss at the motel, I got into a fight with the shifter. Broke some stuff, police on their way. Yada yada. You know how it is,” she explains carelessly.      “The shifter?” Now she has Dean’s full attention. “You got into a fight with the shifter?”      “Yeah. The bastard followed me from the bar to the motel. Don’t ask, long story,” she says, apparently not finding it worth the elaboration.
Dean follows her with his eyes. “So he was at Beetle's.”      “Yep, as Terry Cliffer. He almost had me fooled,” she admits with a chuckle.      “But you got him, right?”      Dean gets his confirmation, her raised eyebrow and a tilt of the head saying enough.       “Who do you think I am?” she scoffs, insulted.
Dean takes a look at the huntress, eying her from top to bottom before a grin twitches at the corner of his mouth. He might still be cross with her, but having her standing in his hotel room in nothing more than a bathrobe, does raise a few dirty thoughts. Dean has to admit; she looks hot as hell. He wouldn’t mind having a peek at what’s under that robe, guessing that she’s not wearing anything else, since she just took a shower. Her hair is darkened by the water, droplets seeking a trail down her collarbone and into her cleavage. Although she washed off her makeup, she still has these warm, penetrating eyes, somewhere between hazel and chocolate. Her skin is smooth and a natural blush fires her cheeks. Zoë is one of those girls who doesn’t need to highlight her strong features with all that shit woman put on their faces to look pretty.      “Do you really want me to  answer that?” Dean counters sly.
“Oh, never mind.” She rolls her eyes and strolls to the window, glancing outside into the night. “I got him, but no thanks to your brother.”      Dean's expression goes blank. Oops, Zoë might have a reason to be pissed off with them once again.      “He fucked up?” he assumes.      “Just a little,” she scoffs, raising her hand and putting her forefinger to her thumb, only leaving a small space between her fingertips. “He chased the shapeshifter and apparently had an encounter with him in his hideout. That didn’t go so well for your dear brother and he got locked up with the others. By the time I got there, the damn chameleon had already shed. So guess who I was facing?”          Dean raises his eyebrows; Sam of course. Worry washes over him.      “Is my brother okay?” he asks demanding.      “He’s fine,” Zoë snaps. “Thanks for asking how I am, by the way. I was the one who got attacked from behind by a shapeshifter slash Sasquatch.”       The huntress closes the curtains further, not wanting this to turn into a peepshow for people passing by.      “Where is Sam now?” Dean questions, his nerves calmed a little, but still not totally at ease.      “He volunteered to cover tracks. He mentioned something about you having a girl over for the night,” she recalls.
Again Dean freezes. Shit! Vicodin girl. He almost forgot about her. She’ll probably show up in two and a half hours or so. His gaze shifts to the scarcely covered woman in the room again. It would be the night of the century, two hot chicks in one evening. In a fucking bridal suite. Maybe Sam didn’t pick such a bad place afterall. He looks over, capturing the huntress with his emerald greens. He can't help it, but he knows his eyes are sparkling.      “Looks like he was right.”       She grins at that remark, amused by his attempt to woo her. Going along with it, she walks towards him, slowly and elegantly.      “You would love to see that happen, wouldn’t you?” she teases.
Dean takes a shuddering breath, stunned to witness this seductful side of Zoë he hasn’t quite seen before. The song in the background fades to Skin On Skin by Queens of the Stone Age as the gorgeous woman approaches. He has to admit that he fantasized about her once or twice today, because - come on - just look at her. But with their rivalry, he never thought it would happen. Fuck, please let me be wrong about that one, he thinks to himself.
With lust in her eyes, she takes the collar of his flannel between her fingers and reels him in. When she moves closer, her mouth hovering over his, he reluctantly creates a distance. He expected a lot from Zoë, but this can’t really be happening, right? Was she playing hard to get all this time? He could've sworn Zoë wasn't into him at all; all they do is fight.      She pouts. “Oh, don’t get awkward with me. You want to.”       “Y’know, I normally don’t do this until the second date,” he says, referring to their talk this morning, when she patched him up.       “The second date? I don’t think you’ve ever known a girl this long before you headed for your home run,” she counters.
Dean tilts his head slightly and nods, admittingly; she’s got a point there. Her arms cross behind his neck and she looks deep into his eyes when he returns her glance, challenging him. Her tongue peeks past her teeth, only just, but Dean notices, his focus flicking down to her lips.      “Well then,” she responds. “What are you waiting for? You like to have fun, don’t you?”      He stares back and can’t help his jaw from going slack. Automatically he reaches for her waist, fingertips softly pressing into her flesh. He seems to be looking in the eyes of Medusa, unable to move. She inches closer, pressing her hips into his, her pelvis rolling against the growing bulge in his jeans. Her grip around his neck tightens; he has nowhere to go if he wanted to. Their noses touch, he can feel her warm breath on his skin.      “Dean?”      “What?” he husks.      She tilts her head and moves her mouth close to his ear, ready to share a little secret.      “I am fun.”
Okay, that’s it. There’s no possible way that any straight guy in the universe could resist Zoë Sullivan, not to mention Dean Winchester. He gives in and meets her half way in a bruising kiss. Without any hesitation whatsoever, she opens her mouth to him immediately, swiping her tongue along his so unbelievably intense, that it catches him by surprise. His heart rate picks up as she grinds her body against his, her nails running through his hair, scratching his scalp to the point that it hurts, but in the best kind of way. He lets his hands explore her figure, feeling her shiver under his touch, even through the fleece fabric of her robe.
Leaving no time to waste, Zoë moves her hands down his toned chest, then lower, until she cups his erection through his jeans. The normally so fierce hunter, who always stands his ground no matter how challenging the fight or how crippling the pain, almost caves then and there. He breaks the kiss when oxygen becomes scarce, pressing her forehead against hers. Their noses touch, but she doesn’t kiss the hunter again. He can feel her grin against him, though, when she softly kneads his hardening dick through the fabric of his pants, breathing in his air when he groans. Dean sigh heavily; Jesus fucking Christ.
Despite the undivided attention she offers, he manages to undo the knot in the sash, opens her bathrobe slightly and slips his left hand between the fleece material and her skin. She feels warm, still heated from the shower, or is it something else? He travels down her body further, tracing the lines of her silhouette, slowly descending towards her core. With his palm pressed against the softness of her abdomen, Dean allows his touch to travel lower. Zoë stiffens, pausing her actions when the hunter opposite of her ghosts over her inner thighs, riling her up. Hungrily she buries her face into the crook between his neck and his shoulder, muffling a moan when the hunter parts her folds with his thick fingers and press into her. Now it’s Dean who smirks, pleased with her reaction and the slick he feels between her legs; she’s so goddamn wet already.
He repeats the act, dipping into her soaked center, gathering her juices before rubbing a small circle over her clit, finding the sensitive nub with ease. Zoë jerks, her grip on him tightening, a sound between a whimper and cry escaping her mouth. Dean can’t possibly imagine it, but judging from her response it seems like she hasn’t had sex in a while. She’s so eager, so willingly allowing him to please her; quite the opposite to the attitude he got from her so far.
The hunter pulls in a sharp intake of air when, despite approaching her own high, Zoë unbuckles his belt, flicks open the button of his jeans and runs down the zipper enough to have some space to work. She slips into his boxers, wraps her fingers around his hardened shaft and slowly starts to jerk him off. Dean tilts his head back and closes his eyes, grunting, a fiery sensation spreading to his limbs and rolling back to gather in his coil. Pre cum drips into her hand, smoothening the friction of the pumping motion. He collects himself, his jaw setting when she takes advantage of his exposed throat, sucking on his skin that without doubt will leave a mark. Fuck, the things he would do to have that sinful mouth somewhere else right now.
Trying to distract himself and prevent his climax from arriving embarrassingly fast, he pushes two fingers into her heat, the feel of the soft velvet of her walls delightful. His thumb flicks over her clit again while he curls his digits, letting them glide in and out in a steady rhythm. It’s obvious it has an effect on her, her sighs labored. The steady tempo in which she was pumping his erection until a moment ago, begins to falter. He feels her buckling forward and supports her, ignoring his injured shoulder, the dull pain suppressed by painkillers. The hunter pulls her closer to his chest and kisses her again, his arm snaking under the bathrobe she’s still wearing, his hand splayed between her shoulder blades.
Standing in the middle of the room while working each other over proves to be more difficult by the second, as he too feels his legs tingling and close to giving out, but it adds to the accelerating moment as well. For a second he considers taking her to that waterbed bed and fuck her into the waves until she comes, but he decides against it. He’s going to save it for later, because Zoë might think he’s a cocky bastard, he is determined to show her his arrogance when it comes to his skills in the bedroom are more than justified.
Her breathing picks up, the exhales more audible whenever her mouth leaves his, turning into sultry moans now that she’s nearing her peak. Unable to multitask at this point, her grip on his rock hard dick loosens further. Thankfully, because he was about to blow, and he’s nowhere near done with the voluptuous huntress.      She clenches around him, her nails digging into his back now. He watches her as her mouth hangs slack, her lips red and full with arousal. The sounds she makes will without doubt travel beyond the walls of the suite, but she doesn’t seem to care; Zoë is anything but a prude.
Dean continues to rub the pad of his thumb in ovals, while pushing his fingers as deep as he can, three of them at this point. She begins to tremble, her eyes shut tight, her brows pulled together.      “That’s it,” he husks. “Does that feel good?”      “G-god, yes,” she manages to utter. “Dean, please… m-make me come.”            He stares at the face, which is contorted with pleasure. Holy fucking shit, she just begged him. Zoë Sullivan just begged for an orgasm. Who would have thought he’d ever hear a plea like that fall from her lips. Dean doesn’t have to be told twice; he turns up both pressure and speed by a nodge. She stops breathing all together, her muscles so tight that they spasm. The build up is almost too much for her too handle, her painfully blissful grip and her quaking body telling him she’s almost there.
Right as Dean wonders how much longer she’s going to last without air, Zoë cries out, coming undone on his fingers. With a content smile on his lips he works her through it, her dripping walls pulsing as he slowly and gently moves out and back into her, while he supports her crumbling form. Watching a woman climax has always been one of his favorite aspects about sex, but witnessing the tough as nails huntress completely spent by his doing, has got to be the sexiest view he’s ever seen.      “You alright?” he chuckles, low and gruff.      She nods, regaining composure. Dean retrieves his digits from her and is stunned when she takes his hand and brings it up to suck his fingers into her mouth, her tongue collecting her own juices. He wets his lips, too, his dick responding to the sensual sight. Jesus, just when he thought she couldn’t get any hotter.      Zoë lets go of him then, pushing him off, teasingly. He looks up from her lips on which the slick shimmers, into her hypnotizing eyes. She grins devilish as she speaks the words he hoped to hear.      “Now it’s your turn.”
Without breaking the contact, she lets the bathrobe slide from her shoulders, watching confidently how Dean takes her in. It doesn’t happen often, but he’s lost for words. Before him stands a woman who could be on the cover of even the most exclusive skin mag. He felt her body under his touch and knew she was gorgeous, but to actually see her completely naked, shows that ‘gorgeous’ doesn’t quite cut it. Her beautiful hourglass-shaped waist, proportioned breasts, not too big for her frame, but small and perky. Slender yet muscular, clearly trained and prepared to take on evil. Shit, she’s the American wet dream.
When he looks closer, he notices the stories her body has to tell. Tattoos decorate her rib cage, her groin and the inside of her biceps, but right now Dean is too distracted to philosophize about the meaning of the ink. Scars inflicted by the things that she hunts damaged her tanned skin, but don’t take away her beauty. In fact, it adds to it, because before him stands a kick ass woman, a powerhouse.
Zoë grins when she witnesses the adoration in Dean's expression, walks up to him and kisses him eagerly. The fire in the pit of his stomach turns into a blaze again, his respiration soon quickening. Not having much clothing to pull off her body, he helps her unbutton his flannel without breaking their kiss. When she rips off the shirt, he can hear the stitching crack, but he doesn’t give a damn. His hands trace the lines of her figure, brushing past what seems to be a burn on her shoulder. When he touches it, she winces slightly.      “Where you get that?” he wonders, a hint of worry in his voice.      She shrugs. “Shifter tried to shoot me again. It’s fine, the bullet barely grazed me.”      Dean, not so careless, lets his eyes linger on the damaged skin, before he reaches for her face and caresses her jaw softly.      “I’m fine,” Zoë promises, smiling at the concern in his eyes.
Tumblr media
The huntress closes the gap between them and presses her lips on his again, pushing his thoughts to the back of his mind. She folds her arms around his neck and he lifts her up, the strain of his shoulder reminding him of his own injury. She giggles lasciviously and hooks her long legs around his waist, as he walks over to the waterbed and drops her on it a moment later. He hovers over her and kisses her pulsepoint, the moan that escapes her total blasphemy.       “It’s your turn, remember,” she purrs.      Impatient, the huntress attempts to shove his jeans down, tracing the hem of his boxers, but he stops her.      “Who says I was done with you?” Dean teases, leaving a trail of kisses from her breasts to her stomach, before he retreats.      Zoë pouts. “Don’t pull back now.”      “I have a little something to make this even more interesting,” he says with that up-to-no-good smirk on his face, his eyebrow arched.
He slides off the bed and walks to the table, where he unravels the gift basket he received downstairs. Smirking he turns around and shows off the handcuffs, twirling them around his finger.      “You have a dirty mind, boy,” she says pleased, liking where this is going.      He crawls back on the bed, which waves like a light swell at sea, and while he leans over her, he gently grabs her wrists and cuffs them behind the steel bars of the bed. Then he sits up and looks at her naked form.      “No, I just have a very bright mind,” he corrects.      “Whatever you want, Dean. I’m all yours tonight.” She pulls at her bottom lip with her teeth, spreading her legs and leaving nothing to the imagination.      “You sure are.”
He leans in again, but instead of kissing her, he takes the gun from under his pillow. Startled Zoë tries to sit up in her restraints, unpleasantly surprised by the sudden change of character.      “What the fuck are you doing?” she asks, concerned.      Dean gets off the bed and casually leaves his gun on the table, buttoning his jeans again and fastening his belt. He then proceeds to walk to his duffel bag, from which he takes a silencer. Slowly, he strolls towards the bed again as he screws it on.      “I’m hunting,” he answers, as a matter of factly.      “What are you talking about? It’s me, God damn it!” She tries to convince him, a hint of panic in her voice.      “Yeah, about that. Zoë, right? I have to say, good impression.” He admits. “You almost had me. It wasn’t until you got out of that robe when I noticed you missed a tiny little detail.”      They stare each other in the eye, him confident, her nervous, waiting for the other to say something. When the silence remains, Dean takes the lead.      “You shot her, you son of a bitch,” he brings to mind, anger thick in his voice.
It’s just now that the person - or rather, the creature - in bed realizes what is going on. Stammering, she looks at Dean. The injury Zoë was left with after last night’s events is nowhere to be seen. Yet a bullet, probably coming from either her or Sam’s gun, has grazed its shoulder.      “Ah, you forgot about that, didn’t you?” He chuckles triumphantly, aiming the gun.      “No! Wait, Dean! I can explain--”       “- I bet you can.”
A dim shot followed by complete silence, ending the life of the shifter once and for all. Dean breathes out and stares at the entry wound in its chest, where he sent the bullet right through the heart. He swallows thickly, because the resemblance with Zoë is uncanny.       He twists the muffler from his gun and tugs the weapon behind his belt, quickly picking up his shirt from the floor. After pulling it over his head, he checks his phone. The list of calls shows none unanswered; Sam didn’t call. He grunts, realizing that his little brother is probably in trouble, and Zoë, too. He has to find them, for all he knows they could be dead. Fuck! This case wasn’t even supposed to be our case!
Pondering, he rubs his face, worried about his little brother. He has to keep it together; now is not the time to lose his cool. Think, Dean. He looks around, his gaze lingering once it captures Sam’s computer. The hunter stalks towards the laptop, moving his fingertip over the mousepad to activate the screen. 'Completed', it says.      “Completed what?” Dean wonders out loud, frustrated.      Goddamnit! Why did he get caught up in his anger? He should have tried to get that bastard to give up the location of his hideout. Now he has nothing!
Dean scans the screen, noticing a pop up asking if he wants to open the downloaded file. He double clicks ‘Yes’. A PDF file opens and a blueprint of the entire area fills the screen. He reads the title; it’s a map of the city’s sewer system. Sam apparently was trying to find out from which house or drainage the shapeshifter was working. He remembers his brother saying his hideout must be somewhere on 110th Ave NW, but that’s a damn long street. He sighs angrily; how the hell is he gonna find them?
Then he spots something unusual. A red sewer line follows the street, running from the main sewer all the way up to a house, far from the main road. When he reads the marginal note, he learns that the particular sewer line was put in the ground this year. Suspicious? Could be, most houses so far off the main roads have their own tanks. And wait a minute, isn't this the same place they checked out last night? He was quite sure it was clean, apparently they missed something. It’s not much, but it is the only lead he has right now. He closes the laptop, grabs his leather coat and rushes to the cabinet to grab his keys...      “Fuck!” he roars.
How could he forget? Sam has the keys. Sam has the fucking car! He runs his fingers through his hair and curses again. He has to steal another vehicle, he’s got no other option. Then his eyes capture the shifter, lying naked and dead on the bed, blood leaking from the chest wound. Let’s rephrase that question; how did that filthy lizard get here? In three strides Dean is at the window and shoves the curtains aside. Relieved, he breathes out. The hunter wouldn’t have thought so last night, but he’s damn glad to see that shiny black Harley Davidson, with the keys still in the ignition, waiting for him underneath the window.
Dean opens the lid and climbs out, not wanting to be seen by staff in the lobby. Skillfully the hunter descents down the old fire escape and lands on the ground with both feet, bending his knees to cushion the landing.       The Harley is a sight for sore eyes, especially now that it’s his only available form of transportation. He starts the engine, the headlight spreading a bright light ahead. The bike is heavy, it surprises him how Zoë is able to handle the cruiser so easily. One thing is certain, he realizes, as he gasses up and leaves the parking lot; he better not fuck up this bike. Because Zoë will either kill him or haunt him, depending if she’s still alive or not.

The Bucketlist
Mini-Series of Short Stories
St. Valentines Day: CHAPTER 1
"Number 5. Done! So much to do, so little time." The woman said.
Checking an item off her list.
She already got her things packed, ready to leave for the beach.
She rode a plane, a cab, and a train going to her destination.
"Plage Solitaire." Gisela mentioned the name of the beach.
Her vision turned from left to right.
She inhaled the fresh air and appreciated one of her best decisions in life.
The place looks private and isolated for there are only few people living at the sea-side.
"No pure white sand. Waters are not so clear. Lonely. Of all the Beaches, why here in this damn stinky hole? Well, 'can't blame ye, the morning and afternoon in this village is peaceful indeed." An old folk muttered with a western accent as he is mixing drinks at his so called 'BoozeBar' which the old rusty sign said.
She just smiled and looked at the man.
"Oh, where's my darn manners, the name's Old Man Larry. What's your name child?" She shook his hand and answered.
"Nice to meet you Larry. Gisela. I have just moved in, I wanna live here, this is one of my favorite places as my parents brought me here once... Way back, when they're still alive. Wouldn't exchange it for another. Even if it's the last place I go to." She said forcing a smile to the man who just nodded feeling sad by just listening to her tone and watching her facial expressions.
She must be going through something.
Not just something.
A lot.
Tons of things are running on this silent woman's mind.
"Grandpa, can I drink this juice?" His grandson asked Larry.
"That ain't no juice son. That's poison. By the way, Gisela, you're welcome drink's on me. Ye may join the party later. The Valentine's Night is the opposite. It's the only night apart from Christmas ye can consider a festival." He said as he handed her his own concoction, like it was derived from two known mocktails/ladies' drink, Mimosa and Sangria.
Then an old lady approached and greeted them.
She seemed tough but she went to them smiling.
"I'm the owner of this isolated place you called a stinky hole Larry, like you have no respect for your wife, goodness gracious! You should be helping me build this place up, not spread rubbish to tear this place down. Do that again and I'll burry an old man to the sand. Nice to meet you?" She did not finish the sentence.
"Gisela. Of the doomed." She said laughing a bit.
"Oh such a joker. I'm Olivia." The old lady introduced herself.
The old woman showed Gisela the directions to her beach house.
It was a tiny, cozy, bright-yellow colored wooden beach house.
It's so remarkable and outstanding that you would even recognize it from afar.
It outshined the other dull-colored houses.
Plus, the best part is that, it's the nearest one to the beach.
She was busy arranging her stuff... When she heard the loud music pumped and started at the beach, she peaked through the window and saw the lights that gave life to the dead atmosphere earlier.
She heard and saw the people mingle, laugh and started to gather round the campfire to dance, chat and have fun not being sober tonight.
She dressed up wearing my lace bikini under my beach dress.
She went out and hanged at the BoozeBar when a guy recently approached her.
"Why aren't you drinking yet beautiful?" The weird guy asked.
"I don't plan on drowning myself in hard-liquor tonight. I would rather just drown in my own thoughts. Alone. Thank you." Gisela answered.
"Just a sip. Please." He insisted.
"No thanks. Can you go and leave the goner now?" Gisela resisted.
***Phone Rings***
Gisela's phone rang, she just stared at the screen to see who's calling, thinking if she would answer or not.
As she was doing so, split-second, the man dropped something in her drink and left without a trace.
She took a while deciding whether to answer it or not but in the end, she chose to ignore and miss the call.
She sipped her glass and her favorite songs played.
She went near the waters and sat on the sand to get a feel of what she seeked for.
Freedom.
After a few hours of listening to music, her vision began to blur.
She panicked and immediately stood which was a bad idea for she felt more groggy... Like a bad case of vertigo.
She tried to walk passed the crowed, little did she know that there was a hungry hyena waiting for her at the other side.
The man she was with earlier was waiting for her to fall under his trap and sieze her, like a predator stalking his prey.
Well, I guess first impressions last, by the looks of it, he isn't really gonna do any good.
She walked, but she also felt so dizzy that she cannot even stand straight.
Her knees are trembling and it looked like her eyesight betrayed her for being inconsistent, it goes back to normal in a few seconds then intermittently goes back to being blurry again.
Her strength gave up on her and she lost her balance.
A man caught her from her back using his strong and firm arms.
A different man than the one from before.
"Are you alright Miss?" The man with a very deep voice asked.
Gisela gathered all of her strength to open her eyes wide to locate her house.
Well, it's literally just near the water, the BoozeBar and the party so she did not have a hard time pin-pointing the place even if it's just the outline and the color of the house that she can recognize as of the moment.
She lifted her arms and pointed her finger to that direction.
To make sure,  the guy asked old man Larry where she lives...
"Well, it's that bright house over there. Take care of the lonely woman but don't try to do anything ungentlemanly or you'll end up in a dungeon..." The old man warned the handsome man and he just nodded.
It seemed that he got tired and carried the woman in his arms.
When they got to her place, he immediately looked for the sink and filled the kettle with water then he set it to boil.
He's now got a luke-warm water on the basin and wiped Gisela's face with a wet cloth.
It seemed that right after, Gisela went to life a bit and asked the man who he is...
"Are you sure you do not recognize me? I can't blame you, this place has no TV." He muttered his observation.
"I can't breathe! I might die from it! Why is it so damn hot in here?!" Gisela screamed and immediately slipped out of her dress and untied the knots of her bikini, exposing her bare skin in front of the stranger.
The man is also drunk but Gisela might have been drugged.
But the man was not aware of that, he just thought she had more than enough Booze because of her stench.
Technically, she drank but just  little.
So that's what he smelled.
The man tried to dress her up again.
With the shown concern, Gisela got curious to get to know the man who's taking care or her.
She looked at his face carefully trying her best to recognize a feature of his face which might have been misinterpreted by the drunken man.
He thought that she was trying to kiss him and suddenly their faces went closely looking at each other...
It did not matter who broke and closed the space between them but their lips met, passionately kissing and wildly answering evey touch of the other person.
Leave it to one's imagination.
You name it...
They did it all the way that night.
Then, the rest were just hot history in the making.
Next morning, er, afternoon, with eyes still closed Gisela felt her aching body muscles and her 'you know what' is definitely sore but that was the best and the longest sleep she ever had especially for the passed couple of weeks that she has not been able to sleep properly due to insomnia.
Not remembering what happened last night, she moved a little to embrace the pillow beside her but she felt that the pillow turned rocky and it felt like a heat of another person's flesh.
Little did she know, that it really wasn't a pillow.
So she opened one of her eyes, trying not to be blinded by the light coming from the window.
She froze and opened both of her eyes widely.
Not because her body is aching from the strenious activity she did last night...
But because she saw a naked stranger sleeping beside her...

I'd say you're giving exams a run for their money when it comes to being avoided by Jungkook.
I mean the guy hasn't held eye contact with you ever for more than half a second!
That day when you bumped into each other? Nopity. One second he was there with books sprawled across the floor and the next second he wasn't. He didn't even look at you!
Then there was that time when the only seat available was next to you and the rest were near his "fangirls". Its fair to say he shared his meal with squirrels that day.
And then there was that day when the teacher had asked you to explain something to him since she was in a hurry and you were the only one left in class. That was probably the only time he directly talked to you.
By "talk" , I mean the low "yes" when you asked whether he had understood or not. That's it.
Those were the only times when you interacted. In the past year.
And that last time was like 4-5 months ago.
Weird, considering the fact that you share a good number of classes with him. Well maybe he's just too shy, don't stress over it you dumbass.
You put your pen down and stretch out. One gets stiff after sitting in the same position for so long you know.
15 minutes are still left on the clock.
Jungkook still seems to be writing.
Your eyes linger on his face for longer than you'd like to admit.
Ok but like
Damn
he has a sharp jawline.
Slice my throat with that jaw please
But still those chubby soft looking cheeks? Howww?? Then there are those doe eyes that hold the soft chocolate brown orbs.
Oh how you'd love to stare at them for hours on end. And tangle your fingers in the soft brown locks that are hiding his forehead. Your eyes wander down to the sweet brown pools of caramel that I mentioned a moment ago and you can't seem to avert your eyes from his.
.
.
wait.
.
He's looking at you.
.
Y/N HE'S LOOKING AT YOU
You instantly turn back around and stare your paper with such intensity that if looks could burn, the flimsy piece of paper would've been long gone by now.
Well that's an amazing way to initiate contact. Great job!
Since that creepy eye contact, you didn't even dare look at his general direction
Unknown to you, he was smiling since he caught you staring at him with a hint of a dreamy smile.
He thought you looked cute with blood rushing to your cheeks.
He should try to make you flustered more often. Actually he should've tried a lot of things.
But him being a wimp is getting in his way of even looking at you nicely.
After revising your paper, you hand it in and head out.
Anyways
yeET FINALS ARE OVERRR
Walking to the entrance, you make a list of all the delicious food you're gonna eat and get fat now while binge watching all the dramas that had to be kept on hold due to exam season TT
BUT FINALLY ITS OVER SNSMMDMD
YEEEHEE
The sun suddenly seemed brighter and the sky seemed bluer.
you put in your earphones and settled on a favorite after much thought.
Ah life is sweet
And then it isn't
As you neared the entrance, a group of boys caught your eye. What surprised you more than them staring at you was the fact that Jungkook was one of them.
They immediately went back to talking amongst themselves.
Huh
Anyyyywaaaayyysss its time to PARTAYYY
So there you were, minding your own business, skipping along the song and mouthing the words.
You know, beautiful life.
But this peace didn't last long when your tranquil venture was interrupted by heavy and fast footsteps behind you.
Oh shit what if its a kidnapper. Oh shit oh shit oh shit
Instinctively, you looked behind.
Jungkook
Oh wait it's Jungkook. Hah not a kidnapper.
Oh wait
its JUNGKOOK
What if he's here to talk about the weird eye contact.
OhMY GOD OH MY GOD OY MY GOD OH MY GOD OHMY-
He stopped right in front of you and you swore your heart would leap out and break dance in front of you any moment now.
He glanced behind him at a black van.
Oh wait maybe he IS here to kidnap me.
Good as long as the weird eye contact isn't brought up.
He looks back at you and you're like ????
He says hey
You say hi
And then you're just standing there.
He again looks back at that kidnapping van and this time some of those boys from earlier stick their heads out and give him a thumbs up and you're again like ????
"So ummm.. hehe.." Jungkook looks away from you and your hoe-for-shy-boys side is just really to jUMp out of your skin and on him
"hey you tryna kidnap me or something" you smile, trying to ease his extrEMely visible tension thats being emitted from him in squiggly Iines like those in cartoons and stuff
but you're like honestly confused???when he keeps opening his mouth and closing it like a fish trying to breath in air
and as cruel as it sounds but you haTE it when someone interrupts your music sessions and its not an exception this time either,
even though the reason of interruption is extremely pretty and you're entertained just by looking at him
"...heyyy??"
"oh um... well..its just.."
"You know what nevermind Jungkook. I'll do the rest"
you look to your right and
its one of those boys
and boYY HE'S just as pretty as Jungkook if not more and you'd think you're drooling but actually you're quite a composed lady so you just normally very un-creepily look at him.
Composed lady my as-
"Hi I'm Namjoon. I'm Jungkook's friend. And I'm just here to-"
"Hi iM YOUR HOPE YOU'RE MY HOPE IM J HOPEEE"
"Hobi cAlm down you're not calling yourself that"
"hiii excujje meee I'm Jimin nice to meet you y/n"
"jimin calm down and get insi- TAE DON'T PUSH JIMIN LIKE THAT"
"GoddAMnit I'm being sqUISHED you guys let me breath-"
"ah sorry hyung but its y/nnnnnn"
"thats not an excuse to FRIGGIN KILL ME Jimin!"
"i said I'm sorry hyung but come out meet y/n"
"wait but let me breaTHsjnxxn hoBIII"
"GUYS CALM THE HECK DOWN YOU'RE SCARING HER" namjoon yelled.
wow
Ok
"umm we're really sorry. Please gimme a sec" and then he was like guys get the frick in or I'll personally kick your asses to the moon and it was supposed to be a whisper but you heard it lolol
So you're standing there like.. ok hi nice to meet you all Im y/n and wait how exactly do you know my name again???
"Jungkook talks so muc-"
"aaAAAHHHA BBBBSHHH ye ye i told them about you haha ye ye that's why they know" and he's like furiously sweating and stuttering and you're like waah ok ok calm down I don't want you having a heart attack or something good god
"Anyways, hi I'm Namjoon and I'm a friend of Kookie here" he smiles and OH THOSE GOOD FREAKING DIMPLES SOMEONE DROWN ME IN THEM
"kindly ignore these savages here" and you find that really funny so you're like "lolol that's fine XD XD haha" and smiling and all
The rest of them introduce themselves and by the end, your name just sounds unreal because of all the "hey I'm y/n"s and did i mention each of them is like.. a freaking living masterpiece?? and like so so sweet, except the Yoongi guy, he's a bit quite but you can't judge because you're like that most of the times too but you're an amazing person and so might be he .
then you ask them why they are here
"so actually, we're here because," he looks at Jungkook, "Jungkook is a coward."
"huh???"
"well you seem like a sweet girl and we decided we'd get Jungkook to ask you to hangout but he is of course a coward and thats why I had to pipe in to save him because Jungkook really likes you a lot an-"
"AAAAAAAAABABABA BALAKLAVA CHOCOLATE CAKE BANANA MILK yes hyung I'll handle this you leave" and he's just pushing all of them back in the van like a sack of potatoes despite their protests and then they just...take off??
What the-?
"ehh??"
"um..ijustwannaaskifyouwannahangoutsometimemaybeifyouwant" his eyes are closed and nose is crinkled and you just wanna SQUISH SQUISH SQUISH HIS GHADDAMNED FACE
"uh what?"
"i..i just wanna..askifyouwannahangoutsometime"
"umm?? Sorry could you please speak a tad slower??"
and he seems like he's suffocated now, like his ears are just red and sweating even more and honestly he's worrying you now
"dude you okay?? You seem really red. Here have some water" Dude. Yes. You're cool unlike those fanfic girlies with their blushing and stuttering. You're a complete badass actua-
He takes the bottle from your hand and gulps everything down and you're just like hey thats my water! but you gave it to him to drink so you can't really say anything
and okay he really seems like a fish who just got dropped in a bowl of water after being on land for 3 days
yea wait that won't work he'd die so like
he really seems like a fish who got dropped in water after being on land for like 3 minutes
So ok he seems human now
"yes you were saying?"
"Uh...do you..um.. would you wanna hangout sometime? If you're free that is.. only if you want to though" and he's like blushing a little and just so cute and you just nsndnfnfkwk
But you're also like OoO
"i-i mean d-dont worry its not like a date or anything i mean if you want it can be a date but i don't think you want that so like its just normal two people hanging out and its just like I really like you you're really cute and i just wanna hangout and just-" he takes a deep breath
"uhh.." you look down.
He just kinda confessed to you so you're kinda ?!?!?!?! right now but you also don't like dating and stuff because? Why would you waste your time on someone when in the end you're gonna just get your heart broken and like, yea that might not happen but you'd just rather sleep
But like, this weird voice at the back of your head says that you should go for it even though you're breaking your rules but like rules are made to be broken you know but you're also scared but you really don't wanna say no to him cos
well you kinda maybe a little bit like him ok?
"uumm.." your brain still can't form coherent sentences
"it's ok. Don't worry." He says and you look up and he has this sad expression and you're like NXNFFDND DON'T BE SAD PLEASE HEAR ME OUT but of course you say that in a more composed way
Ms. Composed lady
"no Jungkook that's not what i mean um.. actually.." so you explain how you think its a waste of time and stuff and you also explain that you really really really wanna get to know him more
"so..can you give me some time? Please?? So at least I can have you as a friend if you don't like me anymore later??" and he seems to be thinking and you blurt out the first thing that comes to mind
"I'll take you for ice-cream!!" and that seems to convince him
"and banana milk too??"
"sure"
And the sweetest little smile dawns on his lips and he's just nodding his head and you're just UwU
"but you finished all my water though."

Salt Is The New Mistletoe
Magnus' love advice doesn't always suit everyone but while his heart is singing and the shadowhunter is pining, Simon manages to cook up some mutual confessions and share his traditions with Jace... Written for the Jimon Secret Snowflake!
A/N: We’ve all been revealed so it’s about time i post this. I hope you all enjoyed your festivities!
Simon throws his hands up in the air as he finally, finally stops pacing the living room of Magnus Bane.
"Are you done, Sammy?"
"Magnus, I know you know my name. And this is serious!"
Magnus sighs deeply but then stands up so he's directly in front of the vampire and blinks slowly. "Love you as I do, Sally, my advice to you will stay the same no matter how much you wear down my carpet."
"Sally isn't even remotely close to Simon!"
"Who's Sally?" Magnus asks, feigning innocence.
Simon just glares at him. "I can't just tell him!"
"Then sing it to him!" Magnus replies, trying to hide his exasperation at the perpetually angst-ridden teen.
Said angst-ridden teen opens his mouth to argue but then falls silent, his eyes darting back and forth as he seems to plan something. Magnus raises an eyebrow at the look but smiles to himself, pushing Simon into a seated position on the beanbags before heading to his study.
It's hours later when Simon finally stirs from his contemplative state and searches for Magnus. He ends up only finding a note written in literally dazzling cursive, a note that tells him he can leave at any time because the wards on the apartment have been temporarily modified for him.
Smiling, he heads to the park so he can find a quiet corner where he can write this song.
Within minutes, he's immersed in his notebook, perched on his side atop one of the most peculiar boulders in the area, but that's nothing new - he's known to be crammed into the smallest nook or the strangest cranny with his glasses stuck to his face as if they've been superglued.
It's strange how naturally the words flow when he's picturing those mismatched eyes, those golden locks of hair in the sunlight, or that swing of a seraph blade. The lyrics piece themselves together like patchwork and his handwriting morphs into an almost illegible scrawl in his rush to get the words down. He can feel himself falling into a zone he usually doesn't leave until he has a completed first draft.
"Simon?" a voice asks, and he jumps, dropping his notebook, losing his balance, diving after said notebook despite his lack of equilibrium, and eventually falling on his side.
"Sorry!" the same voice exclaims, except now it sounds bashful and surprised, not to mention rather similar to someone he knows…
"Jace?"
'Naturally blond' hair flies up and settles once again as Jace nods quickly. "The one and only."
"What are you doing here?" Simon pushes his glasses further up his nose for no reason other than to avoid staring at Jace's perfectly mismatched eyes.
"I, uh, wanted a walk."
"A… walk?" Simon echoes, one eyebrow raised.
"Yeah, you know, moving your legs and lifting your feet?"
"Are you suggesting I don't know how to walk?"
Jace, to Simon's shock, flushes a deep cherry red and shakes his head. "Of course you know how to walk, that's how you get in all those impressive- I mean, crazy positions all the time."
Simon grins to himself but nods slowly, trying to act confused. It doesn't last long, however, because his phone rings and he jumps at least half a metre into the air, his notebook once again flying out of his hands only to land at Jace's feet. His eyes wide, he immediately grabs it back before the shadowhunter can blink, his heart racing.
"Trouble?" Simon asks as his greeting after picking up the phone with a silent, bashful apology to Jace.
"What do you think of me? I went to your parents'…" Clary trails off.
Simon can tell Jace is staring but dismisses the thought. "You did? Did they say anything about, uh, well… me?"
"No." Clary pauses, and Simon swears he can hear sirens but she continues, "Whatever you and Magnus did… worked… I'm sorry?"
His eyes close for the briefest of moments but he tries not to feel bad about it and instead reaches for the pride that should arise from a plan carried out correctly. He shakes his head. "Uh, thanks, I'll see you?"
"You bet," Clary responds; Simon hangs up.
He pockets his phone and runs a hand through his hair, sighing.
"Everything okay?" Jace asks. Simon had almost forgotten he was there.
"Clary's fine. I mean, I thought I heard sirens but there's usually sirens around there so I'm guessing she's alright and-"
"Simon," Jace interrupts, a bemused expression on his face. "I don't care about Clary."
Simon blinks.
"Wait, that's not what I meant; I do care about Clary." Jace looks like he wants to whack his head on the nearest wall. "It's just that I wasn't asking about her."
"Then who were you asking about?"
After a moment's hesitation, Jace answers: "The most oblivious vampire in all of history, apparently."
Simon's brows furrow in confusion as he considers this before he puts two and two together, so to speak. "You mean me? You were asking about me?"
Jace rolls his eyes but then nods as if worried about Simon's response. Simon shakes his head at the thought, knowing that there's no way someone like Jace could care what he thought... Sadly.
"What about me?"
"Is everything okay?" Jace asks, his voice as kind as the concern in his eyes.
Simon realises that he'd been biting his lip in anticipation of the reply but he clears his throat as Jace sends him a comforting smile. "I, um- yeah, I'm good. Not as good as Mike, mind you, but better than Joyce. I mean, those lights were quite the feat and I think-"
"Simon." Jace's clearly amused but still sharp voice cuts into his growing tangent, causing him to pause his answer. "I have no idea what you're saying, you nerd."
"Remind me to introduce you to Netflix," Simon mutters to himself before coughing. "Uh, I'm good."
"Sure? Do you want- do you need help with anything or...?"
Simon opens his mouth to decline but changes his mind and worries his lower lip instead
"So you do need help?" Jace asks, trying not to sound overly eager.
He can't even admit to himself that he'd gone out with something in his brain wanting to find Simon, never mind admit it to anyone else out loud, especially not the nerdy vampire himself. Luckily, something else clicks in his brain and he gasps loud enough to make Simon jump before apologising and declaring, "It's Hanukkah soon, isn't it?"
If Simon's frozen smile and arched eyebrows are anything to go by, he's astonished.
Jace doesn't know if he should feel proud of inviting such a beautiful expression onto the vampire's face or if he should feel guilty for painting himself as a person who wouldn't care about other people's celebrations.
"Don't worry about it," Simon says eventually.
No way is Jace having that. "How can I help? Do you want me to- I mean, should I buy ingredients or whatever?" He resists the urge to clench his fists. "Got nothing better to do anyway…"
He'd added the last lie to try and tone down his eagerness but the way Simon's excitement dims a little makes him regret it with every fibre of his being.
A strange silence floats between them until Simon nods. "Okay."
"Okay?"
"I could use your arms." He goes redder than a vampire should be able to. "I mean, an extra set of arms."
"What do we- you need?" Jace asks, confusing himself by wondering what's wrong with his arms then cursing at himself for overthinking Simon's words.
"I don't know yet, I'll have to check what I- oh. Um, actually, I have to check what the recipe is."
"You don't know it?" Jace asks, then digs his nails into his palms. "I mean, I thought you'd remember because you seem like someone with a good memory and this seems like another thing you could retain but it's absolutely if you don't because there's no pressure or anything…" He fizzles out as he sees Simon laugh.
"For someone who says 'I mean' a lot, you don't seem to be telling me what you really mean."
I can't, Jace thinks, because you would run away from me faster than you've ever run in your whole life.
"So, what do you need?" Jace asks, ignoring the twisting of his stomach and raking a hand through his hair.
"We probably need to take a trip to the supermarket or something," Simon says, "unless you have eggs and potatoes in your pockets?"
Jace snorts, then catches himself. "That's not funny."
"Are you sure?" Simon asks as he starts leading the way. "You seem pretty amused to me."
Following Simon, Jace decides not to reply at all, letting a strangely soothing silence fall upon them once again. The two of them walk in silence to the nearest shop before Simon freezes without warning; Jace crashes right into him and lets out a small yelp.
"I can't-" Simon's statement stops as abruptly as his movement a few seconds ago.
"What is it?" Jace asks.
Simon shakes his head, nervously wringing his hands. "These people… They all know me. I can't go in… I can't…"
Jace has never before acted upon his small desire to wrap an arm around Simon's shoulders but he swallows his anxiety and does so, sending the vampire what he hopes is a comforting smile. "I'll do it for you, they won't be able to see you."
"You will?"
"Yeah, I'll be able to see you," Jace replies, pulling his arm back after a small attempted pat of reassurance.
Simon smiles. "No, I mean, you'd do that for me?"
Oh. Jace can't form words that accurately describe how willing he is to help Simon and how long he's wanted to do something that shows he cares so he just nods, raising an eyebrow. "Like I said, I've got nothing better to do."
When he says that, he doesn't mean to say he's only doing this because nothing else has come up. He literally means that helping Simon and trying to show he cares is the most enjoyable scenario he can imagine but, sadly, Simon doesn't seem to understand what he's trying to say. A part of Jace wishes he could explain but his fear of the endless potentially catastrophic outcomes stops him from doing so.
They sort out the runes and things needed for their arrangement, Jace swallowing the deep regret in his chest that doesn't seem to make sense but he can't find a way to stop it, to explain it, to unravel it.
"Right, what's first?" Jace asks, making sure his voice doesn't give anything away.
"Uh, potatoes," Simon answers, so the two of them enter the shop, Jace confident and full of smiles, Simon jittery and nervous.
"Why are there six different kinds of potatoes?" Jace mutters under his breath.
The woman beside him almost crashes into Simon with her violent jump of shock. She squints at Jace as if analysing him, then smiles. "What is it you're making, dear?"
Jace blanches, looking to Simon with a bemused expression. Simon laughs for a second but then mouths 'potato latkes' to him, which he then repeats, almost certain he's pronouncing it wrong. Luckily, the woman smiles at him and pats his head. "How kind of you."
"Sorry?"
"Well, you're making this for someone special, right?"
"Uh…" Jace considers her expression and decides it's best to agree. "Yes."
With a soft smile, the woman starts explaining potatoes to him in such detail he can't help wondering why she's not written a book on them yet. Nevertheless, he listens to her explaining about the vegetable for almost five minutes, then politely thanks her and goes to the till so he can pay.
"There's more to buy, you know?" Simon speaks up for the first time since he'd agreed he was making the latkes for someone special.
Jace waits until the potatoes are in a bag and he's out of the shop before replying. "I am not spending another moment in the vicinity of a woman obsessed with potatoes."
"Wouldn't want to ruin your perfect hair, would you?" Simon mutters, rolling his eyes.
"You think my hair's perfect?" Jace questions, his ego fluttering with happiness.
Simon snorts. "As if."
Simon doesn't know if he regrets saying that or not. Something inside of him is glad to have gotten away with such a remark where most people would be glared at or punched but another part of him decides that the diminishing amusement – or whatever it is in Jace's alluring eyes – isn't worth the snippet of satisfaction.
"So, where else?"
"That's all we need actually, Magnus said I can use his kitchen until… well, forever."
"What about him and… you know, Alec? Won't they be, uh, busy?"
Simon chuckles at how awkward Jace sounds talking about something he's no stranger to but shakes his head anyway. "Nah, they're in Brazil or something."
"Brazil? Alec didn't tell me they were going to Brazil…"
"He wouldn't have known." Simon waves a hand. "Magnus planned it as a surprise."
Jace nods, visibly relieved, but then frowns. "How do you know?"
Choosing not to reveal his song-writing decision or his pretty open but probably not as open as he thinks friendship with Magnus, he shrugs. "Overheard some stuff."
Despite being evidently suspicious, Jace accepts that answer. "Are we going to Magnus' place then?"
"You're coming?" Simon asks, shocked.
"I don't have t- If you're not comfortable or-"
"No, no, I just… I thought you'd be busy or something." Simon winces at the weak excuse but keeps his eyes on the shine in Jace's eyes, not wanting to miss a second of it.
"Nothing better to do, remember?" Jace smiles and Simon can tell he isn't saying what he truly means but he doesn't think it's his place to point that out.
And so, with a touch of tension and heaps of curiosity hanging between them, they make their way to Magnus' apartment, Jace carrying the bag of potatoes so he has something to clench his hands around.
"Wait, doesn't Magnus have wards around his apartment?" Jace asks as they climb the stairs in his building.
Simon bites his lip for a moment, considering. "Yeah… But let's try anyway…"
Jace looks mightily dubious but nods, the two of them knocking on the door together.
Simon's eyes widen as the door opens without any trouble; Magnus must have anticipated the two of them coming back together. No wonder he's the high warlock of Brooklyn.
"Well, shut the door, would you?" Jace calls to Simon as he walks into Magnus' kitchen, opening the bag of potatoes.
"How do you know your way around this place?" Simon asks after shutting the door and staring at Jace's hair for an entire minute.
Jace stays silent for the longest two minutes of eternity before shrugging almost nonchalantly. "Alec."
"Alec?" Simon echoes, turning behind him, half expecting to see said shadowhunter.
Chuckling, Jace shakes his head. "No, I mean- I mean I'm usually the one who has to come and find Alec when he's stayed here…"
Simon nods understandingly even though he doesn't understand. He can't tell if he's crazy or kind but it doesn't really matter, the only important thing being Jace and his rather flimsy explanation. A large part of him would love to believe Alec is the only reason to visit Magnus' but a small part of his heart can't stop nagging his brain, saying that Jace himself may have been in trouble, Jace himself may have needed Magnus' help.
He shakes his head, killing the thought. Turning to Jace, he smiles. "Right, do you want to beat the eggs?"
Jace blinks. "Beat them at what?"
There's a second of shock before Simon bursts out laughing, doubling over and one hand flying to his glasses to make sure they don't fall off and break. He doesn't even know why he wears them anymore – he doesn't need them – but it's probably something to do with sentiment and he'd rather not explore that anytime soon.
"You don't know how to beat an egg?" He breathes, his hysteria died down considerably.
"What am I supposed to beat them at?" Jace repeats as if asking the question a second time can make it any more acceptable and not completely wrong.
"You don't know…? Never mind. I have a new plan: sit back and watch," Simon orders, shaking his head.
"Sit and watch? Have you met me?"
"Unfortunately."
Jace groans loudly, rolling his mismatched eyes and lifting himself onto the counter. It wouldn't be a problem but he just watches as Simon dances around the kitchen and grabs the ingredients Jace passes him, doing whatever he has to do with them. He doesn't know what it is about the shadowhunter watching that makes him nervous, but he has butterflies nonetheless.
"Is there something on my face?" Simon asks as he stops to take a breath he doesn't really need. "You've been staring at me for the past six minutes."
Jace jumps and hits his head on the cupboard, immediately wincing and sliding off the counter only to overbalance and crash into Simon, both of them groaning as they beeline to the floor, landing with two soft thuds and the potential for a matching set of bruises.
"Sorry, Lewis." Jace coughs awkwardly, pulling himself up. "My bad."
"That doesn't make it any better," Simon groans, grabbing the bar stool and propping himself up on the counter. "In fact, that almost makes it worse."
Jace smiles, a genuine smile that lights up and crinkles the corners of his eyes.
Simon finds himself smiling at Jace in return without having to force the gesture. It's just something about Jace's bright eyes and hopeful aura that you can't refuse – it's basically a crime to turn away from him. It's a crime Simon would love to commit because it would save him the ache in his chest.
"Pass me the onions?" he asks, trying to change the atmosphere.
"Which ones?" Jace points at the basket of onions. "There are at least four different types here."
"The ones that look easiest to chop?" Simon suggests, making a note to inquire why the High Warlock of Brooklyn needs so many different onions.
He hears Jace mutter something but there's an onion in front of him before he can complain so he just salutes in half-mocking gratitude and carries on preparing the dish.
"You have flour on your face!" Jace informs Simon, already moving forward to get rid of said ingredient.
Simon flinches ever so slightly but leans into Jace's touch as the offending flour is wiped away. Without missing a beat, the two of them lock gazes, their eyes reflecting the confusion and concern they're both feeling. There's a hesitation in Simon's eyes that Jace hasn't seen before, a hesitation he'd never expected of the nerd.
"Why aren't you celebrating with your family?" Jace asks softly.
"They don't remember me," Simon replies eventually, just when Jace has decided he should give up on his curiosity.
Jace must frown because Simon steps back, shaking his head. "It's stupid, I know, I just couldn't stand them..."
"Thinking you weren't yourself and needed fixing?" Jace suggests.
Looking back up at him with a smile, Simon nods. "Yeah, exactly."
Something beeps before the conversation can become any more emotional and Simon moves to stop the infuriating noise so they don't both pull their hair out in desperation. Jace watches, rubbing a finger over the courage rune on his wrist, and smiles as Simon expertly manoeuvre his way around the kitchen as if it was his own house.
Once everything is safe and silent – aside from the gentle hiss of the stove – Simon turns back to Jace and Jace genuinely feels his heart lighten at the thought of someone immediately turning to him just because they can.
"They're not really my family anymore, you know?"
"Huh?"
Simon swallows and carries on. "My parents… they're not really my family. They're the old Simon's family, the human Simon's family. And um- they, uh, they wouldn't want a vampire for son- for a son."
Jace's heart melts and freezes simultaneously. He can't decide if he wants to hug someone or punch something so he chooses to do nothing, letting Simon breathe deeply.
"I don't even need anyone that- anyone to need me, you know? I just… I just want to celebrate with a people- with people that accept me?"
"I accept you," Jace whispers softly. "I will always accept you."
Simon's smile could illuminate a tunnel of despair.
Jace coughs, unsure of himself for once, "And don't you worry, we'll find your pretty face a partner."
"What?"
"There must be someone you like, right?" Jace raises an eyebrow as he pretends not to be cursing himself internally.
Simon blankly stares at him for a few seconds, then chuckles. "Are we really doing this?"
Unfortunately, they have to wait until Simon takes the potato latkas off the stove before the conversation can continue. Even as the vampire does something as simple as removing a pan or whatever it's called, Jace wants to scream his appreciation and do something to wipe the underlying sadness away from him.
"I'm not good at talking about this kind of stuff," Simon says immediately, "but I can sing it for you."
"Sing it?" Jace questions.
"Sure." Simon shrugs. "It's just like performing at Hunter Moon, but with less of an audience."
"I count for at least ten people, right?" Jace winks.
Simon's smile might be small but it's still a smile and Jace is happy to see it there. He follows Simon into what he assumes is the guest room and waits as he assembles his performing equipment.
There's an uncanny lullaby hidden in the melody of Simon's music, one that evokes a happiness inside of him he didn't know he had. Despite the foundation of bliss in the beats, Simon's words are heartfelt and touching, speaking of loves and pains and impossible decisions. Jace doesn't recognise who Simon is singing about in his gentle voice until there's a verse talking about the mysterious person's eyes: it would be hard not to recognise someone describing his own.
He waits for Simon to finish, his mind whirling and his heart just hoping.
"You wrote a song about me?"
Simon shakes his head and for one, chilling moment, Jace thinks he's messed up big-time but the vampire's action is accompanied by a shrug and a whisper: "Obviously."
Jace doesn't know what to say. He's heard a plethora of love confessions in the past but never from someone he's willing to sacrifice his beauty sleep for.
"You think my face is pretty?" Simon asks before Jace can form words in response to the song; speech is never usually a problem for him but music has never been so beautiful.
"The prettiest."
Simon smiles, apparently finding out all he needs from those two words.
He takes a small step forwards, smiling slyly. "You, uh, you have salt on your face."
Apparently, sodium chloride can now be used as an excuse to reveal and display affection; Simon leans forward and plants a small, gentle kiss on Jace's cheek.
Jace almost shivers and swallows before shaking his head. He sees Simon look worried but decides to carry on instead of trying to explain. "You can't get away with that."
"I'm sorry, I thought yo- oh!" Simon practically squeaks as Jace makes his move, this time landing a tiny kiss on Simon's lips with a classic Herondale smirk.
Simon doesn't know how to describe the emotions bubbling inside of him so he just grins widely, pushing his glasses up onto his face and trying not to literally bounce off the walls in excitement.
"Your, uh, potato things?" Jace coughs, flushed.
Raking his slightly shaking fingers through his hair, Simon nods and clears his throat, trying not to focus on his tingling skin. "Right. The Latkes!"
Five minutes later, there's a plate of potato latkes sitting on a plate in between the two of them.
Simon offers Jace the first one, purely to try and exile the tension in the room, but Jace shakes his head. "I think there's something missing."
"What?" Simon asks, alarmed.
Jace winks again, giving Simon a chance to lose himself in the colours of his eyes, and stands up, moving to grab something from the counter behind them. He genuinely has no idea what the shadowhunter is doing until the bottle of salt is placed in front of him.
"I think it needs a pinch of salt, don't you?"
It's hard to contain his grin as he nods slowly. "Maybe more than a pinch?"
Then, both of them completely ignoring the salt despite its existence being the trigger to their current situation, they kiss once again. This time, it's all out and proper, tasting of salt and warmth, potatoes and joy, relief and love.
When they pull away to catch their breath, Jace beams. "Who needs mistletoe when you have salt?"
"Definitely not us," Simon replies, still breathing heavily.
Their interlocked fingers and matching smiles are more than worth the awkward silences and tense moments they'd had to experience. As they share a lovingly sly look, Simon decides he couldn't possibly ask for anyone better to celebrate with, anyone better to share his traditions with, anyone better to love.
Jace coughs. "So, uh, for the record, I might- well, I probably don't really hate you…"
Simon just smiles fondly. "I love you too."
He's going to have to thank Magnus' salt for this one.
like/reblog but don’t repsot, thanks!
