Yesterday at the high school I was in for this art teacher and they all had like projects they were gonna present to work on in Google classroom, so like many days as a substitute teacher it was quiet and I mostly just sat at the desk and read. But then this one kid in my peripheral vision was looking at me and when I glanced over her laughed a little. And I looked away cuz I was like whatever maybe he was whispering smth w his friends.
But then he says "I have a question"
"Yeah?"
"What two colors make purple?"
"Oh. Red and blue"
"Thank you... I appreciate the no judgment answer"
I didn't even think about it lol
#when youve been asked enough silly questions you just accept all of them#tales from diana#and this class in particular was not an intro class which. makes it a little extra funny#i told him ive heard sillier questions and he said 'like what?' and i was just like... oh idk but i used to work prek#i guess i am such a no judgment person that it didn't even register to me hed worry abt me laughing at him#u just forgot kid! its ok it happens to the best of us#there was also another interaction i had at the end of the day which was kinda weird#the last like 10 minutes. there was this kid in the front of the room like#apparently he was dancing and i guess i turned my head like toward the whiteboard for one sec#bc i was thinking abt erasing it. which was right next to him#and he was like 'she totally saw me bust that move' to his friends#i didn't know if they meant me or they were talking abt some other student. but fwiw i totally was not looking at him lol#but five minutes later i go up to erase the board#and the kid is still standing there and he's like 'what was your name again?' (it was literally on the board still. kids dont read)#'miss -----' 'oh. it was nice to meet you' and i was kinda like uh the fuck lol#i can't stress enough i dont 'meet' most of these high school students i just take attendance#i didn't say a word to any kids this class unless they asked to go to the bathroom#but i was like. uhm. 'nice meeting you too' like wtf?#'nice being here at my job where i oversee dozens of interchangeable students everyday'#ive always said i can usually tell when students have a crush on me. but that really applies to like. k-8#bc of how little i really get to work w high schoolers it's not like i can just read their minds#even if im a 'pretty substitute' to them i dont know that and they dont talk to me and i dont care#it's definitely weirder to have a teenager talk to u like ur a cute girl or smth. bc they don't do it in the earnest way of younger kids#not that that was like an offensive interaction it was just completely unexpected and awkward lol

Chapter 1 of Hate!
The Serpent
The train's scream fills the crisp autumn air, brushing through my silver locks as I let the suffocating breath through my lips. Here it goes I guess. With a humf I swing my childhood trunk over my shoulder and levitate my other belongings and make my way to my car. It's certainly been awhile since I've set foot in this train, shame that there's still all the same divots and dents in the walls. Navigating the aisle was always a challenge, kids of all ages screaming, giggling, reuniting and some even crying. It's weird going back after thirteen years and no longer being so giddy to fully experience going to Hogwarts, and don't get me wrong I am excited but I feel old. As students make it to their cabins the train seems to still and pierce the air once again with its whistle, now I can stress out in silence. I grabbed my most recent pickup from Marlas Marvelous Books and Trinkets “The darkest arts” which has kept me in an unhealthy sleep cycle for weeks.
Soon enough the train rolls to a stop, hissing for everyone to get off and let it rest. I decide to wait to avoid the rush and pure chaos that scurrys out of the train. I grabbed my trunk and made my way to my first real home.
The carriage ride was exactly what I remembered, uncomfortably bumpy and another head ache. I walked through the gates I walked through millions of times, still intimidating and grand. I immediately made my way to Dumbledoors office to ask what and where I am supposed to place my shit. I wandered through the halls like I was a 16 year old seeing it all again for the first time, the ceilings descending into grand structures, the delicate details of the halls. As I rounded the corner to his office I noticed the wall was already separated and faint voices could be heard the closer I got. He must be expecting me? No, I should wait. No it will be quick, just play dumb. Against my better judgment I decided to get it over with and climbed the stoned steps, that hopefully won't lead me to my death.
Upon arrival the door was closed so I lightly knocked, which caused all sounds to silence and all that could be heard were footsteps. The old oak door swung open to the man himself, with his mystical white beard and moon rimmed glasses and upon inspection a genuine smile.
“Ms. Middleton! How lovely to see you after such a long time, I have been waiting for you to get here!” He said with his gentle smile, he paused and looked at the other voice I heard who I didn't even register was there. I wish I hadn't, I didn't think I would have to see him again especially here. Severus Snape, where do I even begin? When I was attending Hogwarts I was one year older than him and I had taken notice of the only other person stealing all the good potion books and Defense Against the Dark Arts books. I was curious, sure but I never spoke with him when we would both be in the library past curfew. One night I asked if I could have the book he was reading because it hasn't been in the library for months. He was quiet and to be honest seemed uncomfortable with me interacting with him but once I broke that wall with him we slowly became “acquaintances' '. My thoughts were interrupted by Dumbdoors again.
“I apologize I wasn't sure about your exact arrival, Severus and I were discussing lesson plans but we have covered what is needed. Right Severus?” His tone changed just slightly I couldn't quite tell what but I was more focusing on looking at him. I snuck a peak just to see his reaction, just to see if he's still the same Sev I remember. My hazel pools were only met with his endless onyx eyes boring into me, I felt my body shiver and I once again rested my gaze on Dumbledore. I don't think Snape heard him because he was still looking at me when I spoke,
“Please my intention wasn't to intrude, my apologies. I am only here asking where I shall be housed and my classroom arrangements. You may continue. I will step out until you're done.” I said with a small smile on my lips, attempting to disguise my anxiety. I kept my eyes on Dumbledoor awaiting a response but it wasn't him that spoke, it was a deep, silky and rough voice that could only come from him.
“We have concluded our discussion, I will take my leave, excuse me Miss. Middleton.” He spoke my name with some type of emotion but I could only tell because we used to laugh when we called each other by our last names. His gaze lingering on me until he had to make it through the door, and with a woosh that infamous black cape he disappeared.
Time skip (because I'm lazy :)
The next morning after I had gotten my rooms comfortable and the classroom at least moved into, I slept like a baby. My body ached from yesterday's events as I dragged my body out of my bed, I staggered to the bathroom and showered, making sure to take a moment to prepare for today. Today is my first day back. I need to make lesson plans and talk to all my old professors and maybe even some of my favorite old secret places. I got dressed in my simple robes with my hair in a ponytail and doc martens. I make my way to the Great Hall and feel myself get light headed at the anxiety coursing through my veins the closer and closer I get to those big ass doors. Sure enough the second I do, the only people here are the professors all eating in their “spots' ' in the front.
“Oh my! Look who it is!” A shrill voice screeched out as I shot my head to see who it was; they engulfed me with a hug. It didn't take much to know it was a “Mini” (a.k.a.) Mcgonagall, just by feeling her old woman arms wrap around me so tight my eyes started getting black around the rims, by her signature smell of- parchment, ink and herbal teas. Mini was like a mother to me all through my years, she helped the first day when I spilled my only ink pot on my paper, most others had the money to get more but I didn't so I remember just staring blankly at the sheet while my throat got hot and tight. She asked me for help in her storage closet and handed me a fresh bottle of ink as well as the most amazing hug a 10 year old had ever gotten. Ever since then I liked her, which was rare, so this was refreshing.
“Mini! I missed you so much! I'm excited to be working with you and learning from you all over again. How have you been?” I asked with the most genuine smile across my face, we walked and talked as she gilded me up to a seat. A seat by none other than Severus Snape, I mentally face palmed as I acted unaffected by it.
“So please tell us all about where you disappeared off to after 7th year. I was so sad to hear, I'm sorry for your loss.” She smiled sympathetically, and I would find it endearing if she hadn't just brought up my fathers sudden passing in front of everyone, especially Snape. I composed myself and tried to tweak the original story which included me getting the mark and trying to find family in anything I could because I was so lost with myself. Yeah probably not the most welcoming start.
“Mini I will happily catch up with you over some tea, now please tell me how things have been?” I smiled in a way that hopefully told her I don't want to talk about this right now, and she seemed to have gotten it. We chatted and eventually she started talking to Paloma, I turned my attention to my plate and not to the brooding man next to me.
“ Ms, Middleton?” I stopped chewing as I felt his breath fan against my face with that question. I tilted my head so I could make eye contact but his eyes were set forward.
“Yes Professor, Snape?” I cringed at the formality and the memory of us that would be laughing at this, but we weren't.
“I wasn't expecting to ever see you again.” He practically yawned while saying it, making it feel like the biggest pain in the ass to talk to me. He was always a dick. I don't know why he's talking to me. I certainly don't want to talk to him. I rolled my eyes and replied with the same tone.
“Sorry to disappoint you. Now if you’ll excuse me.” I bit out the last bit causing his focus to fail and his eyes to try and find mine but I was already out of the hall.
Honestly I could be nicer but I don't owe that man anything but silence, he was never nice. Reasonably so I guess, when we were “friends' ' we talked about things, most of the time it was innocent and did not involve the more realistic concepts of our lives but we got into it on the late nights at the top of the astronomy tower. That was our spot, other than the library we would meet up there past curfew when we just couldn't rest and chat, sometimes we wouldn't talk at all until I lit a cigarette then he would ask for a drag. Thinking about it as an adult I liked him more than a friend but I could tell even then that he was just in need of company, and he treated me as such and I was always a second option.
I rounded the halls and ended up in my classroom, which was all too boring and gloomy for my taste. I added my “touch” to the room and opened all the shutters and lit an incense. I knew I needed to plan my first month of lessons, so with an exasperated breath I sat at my desk and began my brian storm. My
experience from DADA while in school was average, and I always wanted to do more interactive things so I will add a defense spell course for students. As I was scribbling away a knock clouded the room with baritone echos, I wasn't exactly pleased to be bothered while i'm working but I got up and made my way to the large door. To my surprise it was Severus, he looked tired and worn out which wasn't a good look on him. I almost felt sympathy for him but then he opened his stupid mouth.
“Sorry to disturb your time, I was sent down here to request a healing potion for Madam Pomfrey.” His gaze pierces mine as I look at him with a bored expression. I looked at him with confusion as I realized the potions professor was asking me to brew a potion for someone, not him. I inwardly rolled my eyes.
“Forgive me if i'm wrong but I do believe that's your field of expertise not mine. I can do it, I just don't understand why I am the one doing it?” My face was plain but my voice rose with an interrogating tone. He then scoffed and sighed the biggest breath I felt on my face, which was not pleasant and I was already angry at his half assed reaction.
“I am aware of my job, thank you. I have more urgent important matters to deal with and she asked me to ask you next. I simply don't have the time.” He said with a smirk threatening his lips, a smirk I wanted to jynx off. The audacity of this old bat.
“That's funny actually because I also have more important matters to attend to like planning my class. So I know you're perfectly capable and I know Madam Pomfrey didn't ask you to ask me, you're just lazy. So if you'll excuse me I need to get back to my job.” I bit out at a dangerously low voice with death pooling in my gaze. He looked taken aback for a moment before the stupid smirk returned.
“What important things do you have to do? Playing magic with fake spells because you aren't qualified to actually teach?” He bit out trying to hurt me in some sense which I had to contain my laughter.
“You know Snape I don't really want to talk to you, I don't really know what I'm doing still. So I'm gonna return to what I was doing before you cursed me with your presence. Goodday.” I smiled and slammed the door in his face, and I smirked the whole way back to my desk. Sure what he said did hurt but I never want him to see me weak again, never again will I like or enjoy his presence.
Ok thats the first chapter please let me know what you think!

The One Where Tetsuro Drags Kenma To The Mall, And He Unsuspectingly Falls In Love.
Edited: 2-19-2021
Tetsuro Kuroo briskly walked through the busy halls of the mall with Kenma Kozume following behind him begrudgingly. He had his play station portable, PSP if you will, in his hand. He was only half paying attention to the walkway and where Tetsuro was heading. Tetsuro was a little bemused watching how Kenma was able to follow him and watching out for bumping into strangers.
"Can we go to the game store yet?"
Kenma had not intended or planned on being dragged to the mall by his best friend. Sometimes Tetsuro just didn't like going places alone, even if the said place was just the shoe store at the mall for some new volleyball sneakers. At least Tetsuro had the decency to bribe him with a free videogame.
"Yeah, sure."
Kenma was ecstatic as he saved the game on his PSP, turned it off, and carefully placed it in his backpack. He had been waiting so long to finally go into the videogame store, Tetsuro had taken over an entire hour picking out new volleyball shoes.
"Finally. I think you're the only person who spends over an hour looking for shoes."
"Hey! The right kind of shoes could be the winning factor to our games."
Kenma made his way directly to the game store with Tetsuro following behind him. Kenma made his way over to the PlayStation section, however, as he looked across the store and saw the woman running the register he bolted. Blood rushed to Kenma's cheeks as he quickly grabbed onto Tetsuro's jacket and pulled him into the X-Box section.
"What are you...? Why are we in this section? You hate X-Box users, you said they were inferior and made fun of me for almost buying one."
"The console, not the user, and because they are! I just... Do you believe in love at first sight?"
"Well, technically speaking it takes six months to fall in love... But I guess sometimes there can be exceptions."
The blush on Kenma's cheek was an evergrowing pink, quickly transitioning to a deep shade of red. He slightly poked his head out of the aisle in a discreet way as to not let you see him. It made him think of the game Call Of Duty and War Hawk, where he'd poke his body out slightly that enabled him to shoot without being shot at.
"I think I'm in love."
"With who? Her?"
Tetsuro poked his head out and Kenma quickly grasped onto his shirt and yanked him back in.
"You can't just look at her, she might come over here and she cannot come over here."
"Why not? You could get her number."
"I can't talk to her okay? I come in here all the time, and every time I see her at the checkout I get nervous, and barely any words come out."
Tetsuro patted Kenma on his back and scanned the shelf for a videogame that looked noteworthy.
"Don't worry about talking, I'm gonna get you her number then you can take it at your own pace."
"No, wait-"
"Don't worry, I got this."
Not an X-Box game, Kenma wanted to say. Not Paladins, Kenma desperately wanted to say, but it was too late. Tetsuro was walking away with the game in his hand towards the cash register and placing it on the counter, all Kenma could do was hide in the aisle with anxious anticipation.
"Hi."
"Hello, will that be all for you today?"
"Yup."
You raised your eyebrows in silent judgment as you scanned the videogame. Kenma supposed it really wasn't Tetsuro's fault for making the mistake. He didn't play videogames as Kenma did, his eyes weren't likely to spot the OverWatch hoodie you were wearing, Paladin's superior rival game, or the fact that you were wearing the PlayStation insignia on a bracelet over your wrist. Evidently, whatever Tetsuro said to you, Kenma knew you were going to shoot down.
"So, my friend back there couldn't help but notice you, but he's too shy to ask you for your number, so I was wondering if I could have your number to share with him."
You let out a nervous laugh as you lifted your eyes from the register screen to the area behind him, there was no one. You would have liked to say that you were the type of person that didn't disassociate yourself from or have a prejudice against people based on their likes and dislikes, but the fact that this guy had obvious poor taste in videogames and consoles accompanied by the fact he obviously had no friend left you feeling uneasy.
"Right, for your 'friend'. I don't feel very comfortable giving out my number, sorry."
Would the slew of pervy gamer guys never cease to exist? Every day a new guy was in here ready to hit on you.
"My friend is so sweet, I promise! He plays videogames and he's an athlete!"
This guy was getting creepier and creepier by the minute. You took Tetsuro's card from him and swiped it along with the machine with haste, hoping silently that the card wasn't declined and he would leave.
"I'm not allowed to serve out my number for personal gain. Corporate policy, sorry."
You rushed your words out politely hoping to both deter him from asking again and to lessen your chances of coming across as rude. You thrust his card forward, quickly folded his receipt in half, placed it on a bag with the video game, and pushed it forward on the counter with a beaming smile.
"Have a nice day and come again."
Please don't.
Defeated but not hopeless, Tetsuro went back to the X-Box aisle to return to Kenma who was reeling in second-hand embarrassment over how bad that went. You watched with wary eyes as your newest creepy customer returned to the gaming aisles despite having just paid. You left your head resting on the work phone that was clipped to your belt, you'd be shocked at the number of guys that came and harassed you simply for being a girl that worked in the videogame store. Perverts and misogynists were a pain, you could never be too careful.
"That went horrible."
"You grabbed an X-Box game, and you could've grabbed OverWatch at least, not Paladins. Anything but Paladins. Let's go home."
Kenma didn't even want to inform his friend how weird and sketchy he was acting when he talked to you.
"Nope! Time for plan B."
Tetsuro grabbed Kenma's arm and dragged him over to the PlayStation section, unbeknownst to your watchful eyes. You felt a little sheepishly embarrassed watching him pull his friend to the PlayStation section. You had seen the little blonde boy come in a lot, enough to know what kind of games and consoles he liked, yet you hadn't noticed them come in together or even seen another guy in the X-Box section, truthfully, you thought the dark-haired guy was another pervy boy trying to hit on you for being a girl in gamer apparel.
"You're going to take my game and get my money back, and then buy OverWatch. Now I want you to repeat after me. 'I need to return this. By the way, I think you're cool, do you want to hang out sometime?'. Apparently, it's against corporate rules to hand out her number."
"Okay, okay. I got this. 'I need to return this. By the way, I think you're uh, cool. Do you wanna hang out."
Tetsuro pushed Kenma out of the PlayStation aisle and he slowly walked to the counter, the blush on his cheeks still raging as he gripped the bag tightly. He put it on the counter and tried to take a deep breath before he talked.
"I need to return this for my friend and buy this."
"Your friend not a fan of Paladins?"
He didn't want to stray from the script that Tetsuro had given him, but man did Paladins aggravate him. It was a complete rip-off of OverWatch.
"No, it's, um, it's a rip-off of OverWatch honestly, and I-We prefer PlayStation games."
"I know- God, that sounded creepy. It's just that you're in here a lot."
Kenma let out a small laugh as you scanned the game. You felt embarrassed for letting on to the fact that he had left an impression on you. It wasn't like you were a creep, you just took notice when customers came in regularly, especially when they bought the games that you personally played. Kenma handed you Tetsuro's debit card and you swiped it to both return the original and buy the new one.
"So, uhm, I am in here a lot, and I've noticed you wear a lot of videogame apparel, and I think you're kinda cool, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime?"
"I'll do you one better, here's my phone number."
You scrawled your number down on the receipt and put it in the bag with the OverWatch game before you slid it over to Kenma with a smile. You leaned in close, whispered to him, and he swore his heart stopped beating as you stared into his eyes.
"Just, god this is so embarrassing. Can you preferably don't tell your friend I gave you my number...? I don't mean to offend, but he was actin' weird and kinda creeped me out, and I told him it was against corporate policy to get him to leave me alone."

Trial & Error | chapter 7
Main Pairing: (jimin): student/idol x (main): foreign student
Side Pairs: main x taehyung,, main x (nct) jaehyun
PART 6
"What it is?" Jimin asked, making you look up from your pizza to him.
You sighed, leaning back on the couch sofa in your living room. You guys sat at the coffee table as you enjoyed each others company and forgot about everything you were both were stressed about for a while... Until he bought that up, at least.
"What is what?" you acted stupid.
"Y/n... Earlier. You were clearly crying in class today. What happened?" He bought his knees up to his chest and rested his chin on them, looking at you concerningly.
You put your pizza down and breathed out, defeated. "I saw Taehyung today," you started. "And he just seemed... Not hisself."
"Yeah, he hasn't been lately," he agreed. "I think he's just upset that the fans are upset. Like, he doesn't want them to feel that way about him, you know? Just give it some time."
"But he told me not to talk to him anymore," you said.
"So what--"
"He seemed serious, Jimin."
He clenched his jaw before poking the inside of his right cheek with his tongue. "Forget him then--"
"No, Jimin, I'm not just going to just ‘forget him’. Tae is my best friend, he's all I had. I don't want him mad at me."
He sucked his teeth, seemingly getting mad. "So I guess I don't exist," he humped.
You cocked your right eyebrow in confusion. "Ummm say ‘sike’ because you and I didn't even start officially becoming friends up until about a week ago."
"But I'm here, right?"
"Yeah and I said he's all that I had, not have. Obviously, I have you right now but not too long ago, it was just him."
Suddenly, he looked sorry. "Oh," he said. "You're right. I'm sorry..."
You shook your head after staring for quite some time. "No, Jimin... Don't be sorry." You rested your hand on his knee, reassuringly.
"I just want things to go back to normal," he whispered.
"Isn't your school almost done with the reconstruction?" you asked, placing your hand back in your crossed lap. "Maybe then, things will change."
He shrugged. "They don't seem like they're getting done anytime soon, to be honest."
"Oh, I'm sorry. That sucks."
He smiled shyly at you. "No, actually, it's okay. I kinda like having class with you now," he said, winking.
"Jimin, are you flirting?" you teased.
"Maybe," he replied, biting his lip in a seductive manner and looking you up and down.
You rolled your eyes, picking a pillow up and throwing it at his face. He instantly picked the pillow back up whilst laughing and gently tossed it back in your lap. You guys silently collected your fits of laughter together before Jimin turned to you again. "Hey, you still owe me ice cream."
"Ugh," you grunted. "Fine, let's go."
He smiled, jumping up quickly to go put on his shoes. You followed in his footsteps and both left the apartment, walking to the nearest ice cream parlor.
"Do you do this often?" Jimin spoke up in the midst of your journey.
"Do what?" you wondered.
"Walk alone at night like this."
"I'm not alone," you scoffed.
"Y/n, you know what I mean."
You shrugged your shoulders. "Sometimes. Why?"
He started to look at the ground as you two continued to walk. "It's just... You need to be more safe, okay?" You looked over at him, making him look back at you. "You're a pretty girl," he started. "And people can be crazy. Just start taking taxis everywhere. Got it?" He took his hand out of his pocket and roughly slapped his hand on your back right shoulder.
"Yah!" you yelled out. It was obviously just a playful hit that you doubt was meant to actually hurt but clearly Jimin just didn't know his power. "The only crazy person is you, you psychopath, who goes out to get ice cream while its cold outside?" you complained, rubbing your back shoulder in the spot where you could still feel some lingering pain.
On your left, Jimin was just cracking up. You scowled at him, still lowkey upset about the hit but quickly getting over it as you both, unnoticeably, arrived at the parlor. "Aww, poor y/n," he joked, as he rubbed the spot for you.
You pushed him off of you just before entering the store as Jimin followed, still laughing.
"What do you want?" you asked.
"What do you want?" he asked back.
"Mint chocolate chip."
He scanned the menu. "Melon," he decided.
You shook your head, then paid for your order as Jimin found you guys a table to sit at. After handing him his bowl and sitting down across from him, you started to worry about something. "I figure this is a bad idea."
Jimin tilted his head, picking his spoon up. "How so?"
"It's just... Last time I was out with Tae--"
"Oh please," he quickly cut you off. "Look around, there's no one here. You don't have to be paranoid, y/n." He started eating his ice cream, clearly not bothered at all. You, however, were still scared.
"I just don't want to bring you boys trouble, I've done enough already."
His shoulders slugged and you could tell that you were sucking the joy out of his pep. You hated to be the person to do that, you did.
A few pauses later, Jimin put his spoon down and reached across the table for yours. He scooped up some ice cream and put it in front of your mouth. "Open up," he said.
You looked around, aware that the worker at the register was carefully watching the both of you. She was sitting, seeing what was about to happen next and Jimin saw this. "I dont care if they see," he said. “We're friends. Am I not allowed to hang out with you?"
Not wanting to argue back, you simply complied, opening your mouth as asked. You ate the scoop and looked at him. "Happy?"
He smiled. "It's good right? Now eat up, don't worry too much." He went back to his own bowl and began to make small talk.
You started to remember what it was like the first time Jimin and you actually had your first real conversation. You realized it was just easy to talk to him about things. He was real but non-judgmental with you. He just wants the best for everyone and you found that to be so nice of him. He truly had a way with making you feel better about every situation and making you forget about things in the time being.
After a little while, you and Jimin walked back to your place, stopping in front of the main entrance. You saw your mom in the lobby, waiting for the elevator, making you turn to Jimin. "It looks like my parents are home," you spoke. "Guess that's your cue to go too."
Jimin looked through the lobby, his eyes slightly widening. "That's your mom?" he questioned. You nodded your head. "She's beautiful! I see where you get your looks from."
You playfully rolled your eyes as you laughed, placing your hand on his chest to slightly shove him. "Please, Jimin." You noted that this was his second time complementing your looks that night and not going to lie, you were flattered.
He laughed too. "Alright give me a hug," he said, pulling you in before you even got the chance. You hugged him back tightly, grateful for him taking your mind off things for a while.
"I'll see you later," you spoke, looking up at him. He looked down and shook his head in agreement before you both let go and he took off.
~~
You and Jimin had been hanging out a little less than usual due to him and the boys having multiple dance practices, meaning he would not only rarely show up to school but you rarley even talked or texted with him. Of course he tried to keep up with you when he could which was better than nothing, you guess. You just kind of missed him.
"Psstt," you heard from behind you.
You turned around to find Kayla, another internatial student like yourself. "Hey," you said, smiling at her. "What's up?"
"I'm freaking out," she replied. "I didn't do my homework last night, I was too busy. Before class starts, can I pleasssee copy yours?"
You shook your head, not minding as you grabbed your homework from your backpack and handed it to her. "You're a life saver!" she exhaled. She quickly copied your homework and within about two minutes, it was back in your hand. "Thank you so much!"
"No problem," you replied, ready to turn back around before she cut you off.
"Wait," she said. "Is it true, about you and Taehyung?"
You sighed, not aware that that was still a thing. "People are still on that?" you asked, semi annoyed. It had almost been two weeks, you thought it was behind you.
She scoffed. "Of course they are girl, you snatched up two of the most wanted guys in this school.” She paused, thinking. “ Well, besides Jungkook and Jaehyun."
You were confused, what did she mean? "Two?"
"Jimin and Taehyung," she responded in a ‘Duh’ tone.
You stared at her for a quick second. "Well to answer your question, no. How bout' you spread that around the next time you decide to gossip?" you snapped. You don't know what it was but you were over it. This rumor ruined your friendship with Taehyung and you were sick of it following you around.
"Jesus, well excuse me," she said, putting her hands up in surrender. "It's not like it was me that started it."
"Well you're sure as hell not helping, no?"
"Attitude much?"
You sighed. She was right. Normally, Kayla was really nice to you so although she was being annoying at the moment, you still couldn't help but feel bad for the way you spoke to her. "I'm sorry," you apologized. "I've just been really stressed."
Her face softened. "Yeah, you look it," she joked, a small grin appearing on her face. "Hey, if you're not busy after school, me and Heejin are gonna go grab some boba if you want to join us?"
You thought it over. Having some girl company didn't sound too bad, it actually sounded like just the perfect plan to you at the time. It wasn't anything significant but given the fact that you only was hanging out with guys for most part, this seemed overdue.
"That actually sounds really nice right about now."
She shook her head. "Okay then, we'll just be waiting for you at the bus stop after school."
Just then, your math teacher walked in and you all started our work.
~
After a long day of 7 classes, you and the girls did end up hanging out. Kayla ordered matcha boba, Heejin ordered strawberry and you ordered coconut. The three of you got a table and sat down, discussing random things such as school and who they liked.
“Taeyong is definitely the most handsome boy in our school,” Kayla stated.
“Really?” you chimed in. “He is super attractive but he’s too mysterious.”
Kayla threw her head back in admiration. “That’s what makes him hot, y/n!” she cried, making you giggle.
"Well, I hands down like Jungkook," Heejin said. "No doubt about it, he is my ultimate crush." She was swooning over him and got dramatically emotional at just the thought of him. "Ugh! My heart is beating so fast even thinking about him, I think I'm going to die!" she then plopped her head on the table as you and Kayla laughed at her silliness. "It's depressing," she said said in a muffled voice, her face still on the cold surface.
"You'll survive," you responded.
She lifted her head back up, looking at you curiously. "Wait, aren't you friends with Jungkook?"
You scoffed, looking around to make sure no one at the surrounding booths heard that. "No," you responded. "I hardly know him."
"Oh, I just assumed because you and Taeh--"
Heejin was interrupted by Kayla shoving her quickly as a means to get her to stop talking. Kayla cleared her throat. "So, y/n," she started, changing the subject. "Heejin and I were thinking about starting this club--a dance club and we were wondering if you would be willing to join?"
Heejin gave her a look, scrunching her eyebrows together, as did you, wondering where this was coming from. "Me?" you asked. "Why me of all people?"
"Because," Kayla started. "I see how you are in class, you're a team player. I already know you would do well on our team. Plus, you just look like you can dance," she chuckled.
Her explanation wasn't good enough and you were still confused. Heejin still looked confused too but she seemed to not want to bud into it.
"What do you say?"
You started to stutter. "I-I-I.... I, um... I'm not sure," you said. "Dancing isn't really my thing..." She suddenly started to look disappointed, which made you feel a little bad. "But I'll let you know," you added, wanting to give her a glimpse of hope.
She smiled again, shaking her head. A few minutes later, you then dismissed yourself and said your goodbyes before you headed out the cafe door to go home.
A/N: Surprise! Heejin is in this. She’ll be around a little more often now hehe okay stay tuned to see what happens next! <33
