Ilverin baldursgate headcanon times:

i think his House got destroyed, which is why he was in Baldur's Gate in the first place - and where he got his scars from. what this means though is that i think now he's rebuilding a new House with all the companions. that's what's going on here. Menzo can burn for all he cares, now he's going to build a new House with skeletons and vampires and buff tiefling ladies

also the guardian I made I always thought of as being the Melee-Magthere student he was paired with in his final year at Sorcere, who either died or he had to leave after his House fell.
