#tears of the kingdom spoilers#totk spoilers#sorry but her entire characterization in botw was frustration with the lack of agency implicit in being a chosen one#then in tears of the kingdom#when she should be able to finally enjoy some freedom to run her own life#she is made to lose all agency by shitty writing#either her botw characterization doesn't matter#or the totk writers thought zelda sacrificing her agency completely without protest for the sake of link was 'character growth'#either way they did her dirty#also so much of botw's plot was about her unlocking her goddess powers#and then they're never fucking mentioned in totk#i get that if she just zonked ganondorf with her powers then the game couldn't happen#but they shouldn't have written her into a situation like that in the first place
