there’s a reason i don’t read new comics and part of it is just because basically everything marvel has put out in the past five years is bad with few exceptions and i loathe the current characterizations for Basically Everyone, and part of it is because it’s a nightmare to keep up with

webcomics and indie shit is so much less painful to keep track of lmao

#fantastic four? bad. amazing spider-man? bad. venom? bad. agent venom? i liked it and it still makes me so mad #and the more pre-2010s spider-man comics i read the less i like agent venom #i mean i despise the origin that dan slott wrote already but even the decent ones are frustrating #i find cullen bunn's take on high school flash frustrating including outside of agent venom #etec etc etc #and i LIKED his run on AV but like that mini he wrote about flash in high school isn't very good tbh #and his flashback scenes of flash in high school i don't like very much #also aside from that i have some unrelated crit but that is related to horror tropes and questionable racially charged imagery #and is not just a problem with him but with a lot of horror comics esp the ones that delve into lovecraft tropes
