i love how all of the side characters in the early seasons are unreliable narrators and we will never actually know what they knew and how they actually felt

specifically thinking about how vague john + azazel relationship is and basically everything that john got up to that he probably changed or omitted in stories/ in the journal. he lied so much and the show is told through sam and dean's perspective so we will never actually know the truth of john (how much did he know about yed and sam??)

ANDDD alastiar + john in hell!!! did john actually not break or did alastair lie because he knew that it would get to dean?? everything he said was designed to fuck with dean. we can't even be sure he met john
