#personal #i for one am not for bloody anarchy and mass domestic terrorism that kills random citizens and almost none of the actual responsible partie #and does nothing to dismantle the systems of oppression and gets the country involved in ten million wars #and creates such a bad situation that it leads to the return of single person autocracy #and a status quo of monarchism that will not lead to another democracy for the next hundred fucking years #i feel like the best microcosm to explain why the french revolution was so bad is the philippe égalité story #and i don't even particularly like égalité but it's a very good example for why the first french revolution sucked absolute ass
