YAYAYYAYA RENCHANTING HURT/COMFORT... my brain wants me to make it ren comforting martyn bc i usually see it the other way around but i cant figure out where to go from there

when it comes to the quig roleswap au... basically. it swaps xlife!quig with sbirust!quig and vice versa. i specifically wanna mess with timelines? like ok. in all of my mcyt/mcrp worldbuilding, every server is its separate universe that occasionally collides with other servers (hence why a lot of servers imply that other servers are canon while other characters will have entirely different backstories). certain characters travel interdimensionally, but in some universes this isnt possible (yknow, infinite universes and all that). in this case, sbi rust Isnt one of the universes capable of interdimensional travel. xlife is a universe in which interdimensional travel is known and normalized, but quig is weird in that hes just a normal human dude, so he personally isnt capable of it

SO. theres this big ol glitch that puts a weird glitch wormhole thing in xlife. quig walks through it and gets displaced into sbi rust. this causes sbirust!quig to get displaced into xlife to sort of fill that void and avoid a paradox. in my mind its a server admin/deity doing this

so now the timelines all janked up. the two timelines match up almost perfectly, UNTIL two very specific decisions are made. sbirust!quig agrees to join jeremyism, while xlife!quig refuses to join the dome religion. these decisions happen at the same time, but they cause their respective timelines to go off the rails.

the servers slowly get more and more corrupted as the server admins try to either fix the issue or just destroy the server entirely, and it ends with both quigs displaced into the void- the server admins got what they wanted, the Wrong Quig off their server, but nothings fixed
