i've been doing some thinking. absolutely no proof but hear me out:
the Watchers Watch. they don't Watch. What makes the Watchers different from the people who are watching this game? they engage in the game. We all type like this. In black (or white, depending on our theme). Therefore, i propose black is engagement. Puzzlemaster uses black to communicate to us the rules, their thoughts, etc. Engaging with us.
We know purple is power. Keeping tabs on us is powerful because it inspires us to act. So what is it you do differently than us? That possibly is powerful enough to center the puzzles on you? I know I followed you for your art. What's more powerful than art? What's more human? We know Puzzlemaster is curious about humanity. Art gave them a body. You brought us together.
I'll repeat the riddle for you and your companions.
"The Watchers only Watch, why do the Victims have to Speak?"
Allow Me to also add that a period, if placed with meaning, could also be black.
:)
-Puzzlemaster
?
Oh right yeah I got so lost I completely forgot the riddle we’re solving IS the sentence itself. Get your brains working girly pops

Frustration
pairing: Max Verstappen x reader
summary: After he publicly talked about his previous injury's effects, Max wasn't expecting his investigative journalist girlfriend to write an article about it.
Tumblr media
What time it was was irrelevant. It was dark, so it was probably the middle of the night, and what bothered you more was falling asleep at your desk. Now every inch of your body ached, and as you looked to the side to see who tapped your back so gently to wake you up, you could feel your neck crack.
While you were glad to see Max back home, he didn't look happy, if anything, he looked upset. Groggily, you rubbed your eyes and reached out to place your hand on his arm, but he just took a step back. “What's wrong?” you asked him cautiously.
He pointed at the laptop in front of you that had one of your latest articles open. This is what you'd been doing the final touches on before you fell asleep, but you went back to its beginning, so he could see the title and the lead. Which could be misleading if he didn't know what exactly it was about.
“Listen–” you tried to explain, but he stopped you right away.
“No need to explain, you're using my issues for some story.” You sat there in silence, carefully watching as Max began to pace the room. “Yes, I talked about it publicly, but not because I wanted you to do some big investigative piece based on it. I trusted you to keep the rest of it between us.”
Letting out a sigh, you leaned your back against the desk and folded your arms over your chest. “You done?” He gave you a curious look. “Have you actually read the whole thing? Because if you did, you would know it was your comment that made me look into risky returns after accidents, and I’m deliberately not dragging motorsports into this. Or contact sports, because a lot of people have already written about them,” you added quickly with a roll of your eyes.
You could see the realization in his eyes, and the angry look was soon replaced by guilt. He walked back to you and crouched in front you, steadying himself by placing his hands on your knees. You waited for him to apologize or tell you why he assumed the worst, but there was nothing, only silence.
But then he took a deep breath and began to talk. “I'm sorry. You're right, I only read the beginning, and the whole thing sounded extremely personal,” he explained, leaning into your touch when you tangled your fingers into his hair. “Are you mad at me?”
Shaking your head, you leaned down to give him a quick kiss. “I'll chalk it up to you being tired,” you told him.
“Tired and frustrated,” he corrected you. When you looked at him in question, he rose a bit to kiss you again, but this time his hands began to wander. “Let's just go to bed. We both need some sleep.”
“Sleep?”
“You know I would suggest something entirely different, but you fell asleep by the desk, and I'm dead tired too, so we'll catch up tomorrow,” he said with a convincing smile that made you nod your head.

Romance can also be disastrous - Chapter two
Pairing: Kusuo Saiki x fem! Reader
•Previous part•
If you are homophobic dni with my series or blog!!!
What to expect: Crack/Comedy, Fluff, angst?, SLIGHT NSFW, Yumehara having a crush on Y/n, Y/n getting jealous
Things to know: "Saiki speaking telepathically to people/one person"
"Saiki speaking w/ his mouth"
Everyone thinking
(Sometimes) Narrator speaking
Tumblr media
In high school love is always in the air, which is something Saiki considers entirely pointless. You knew this, hence was one of the reasons why you had no intention of confessing your feelings to him.
You knew he wasn't into romance at all, so why bother him and cross his boundaries? It just wasn't worth risking your friendship over. Though there was a huge part of you that was shoved deep into your head.
That part was you that just wanted to tell him already, a part that had been bottled up for 5 years already.
You sighed heavily as you entered the classroom with a box of juice in your hand. You took a deep breath, in and out, clearing your head of any thoughts of Saiki, in case he would hear.
As you walked towards your desk, you saw one of your classmates, staring intently at Saiki. Chio Yumehara. She was blushing and had a lovesick smile on her face.
You have got to be kidding me...
Your jaw dropped slightly and your hand bawled up into a fist, breaking the box of juice you had, and making it spill everywhere.
"Crap..!" You whispered to yourself, luckily no one noticed, well except Saiki and Kaidou. "Hey, Y/n, what's wrong? You seem upset." You saw Kaidou offer his handkerchief to you and you smiled, taking it.
"Hey...I'm fine don't worry! I'm just a little tired.." You muttered as you began to clean up the mess on the floor. "I see, fighting all night were you?" You chuckled and nodded. "That's right, thanks for the handkerchief again! I'll make sure to wash it and bring it back tomorrow."
"Well if you ever need to talk, I'm here. Okay?" Your eyes widened slightly, it was rare to hear Kaidou speak without any chunibuyo. But it was always nice.
He walked off while waving goodbye and you headed to your desk, which was right behind Saiki's. You saw him thinking hard about something, and so was Yumehara.
You figured she was trying to probably get closer to Saiki, seeing as you took a peek at her notebook, which had a picture drawn of Saiki. That confirmed your suspicions, she did in fact, like Saiki.
You looked down at your desk before plopping your head down onto it and closing your eyes. You really didn't have enough energy to deal with this.
"Hey wake up. I need your help." You looked up to see Saiki, who was towering over you. "What..?" You asked with a groggy voice. Saiki rarely asked for help, ever. But you figured it was probably something important.
"What do I do again?" You asked Saiki. He had led you to a random hallway, without giving you any information. "Just walk over there and turn the corner."
You sighed and started to walk, Why does he even want me to do this? What's happening..? As you reached the corner you bumped into something or someone. "Ow..!" You fell to the ground and saw papers flying everywhere.
"Oof..!" You heard someone say, looked up only to see Yumehara, who was rubbing her head in pain. "Oh my gosh! Yumehara! Are you okay? I'm so sorry!" Yumehara gazed up at you and her face fell in disbelief.
Why does she look like she's disappointed...? You thought before handing her all the papers you had picked up. "Thank you..and don't worry about it, that was my fault.." She muttered before getting up and walking away.
Saiki suddenly appeared from nowhere, "Saiki..what the hell was that about?" You glared up at him, getting up and crossing your arms.
"You know already, don't you?" You scrunched up your face in confusion. "What do you mean?" But then it hit you and you could feel your face heat up. The moment in the classroom when you were jealous of someone else having a crush on Saiki.
"Pfft...that..I dunno what..I was just..-"
"C'mon, we don't have much time.." He took your arm and dragged you back into the classroom, leaving you completely dazed and still a red mess.
"Oh God..she's gonna hate me for this..! You owe me big time!" You huffed out to Saiki, "I'll get you whatever you want, alright? I'm sure she'll find someone else to like soon enough."
You groaned before you saw Yumehara enter the classroom. You quickly ran away from Saiki as she walked in front of him, dropping her handkerchief in the process.
"Oh my goodness, that's really bizarre-" Before she could finish you interrupted her. "Oh Yumehara! You dropped this, here you go!" You picked the pink handkerchief off the ground and handed it to her with a smile.
You saw her glare slightly but she was also trying to keep a smile, "T-T-Thanks..." She grumbled before taking it from your hands and walking off in a pout.
Then, it was your turn to glare, but at Saiki, who looked away. Leaving you muttering angrily to yourself.
I mean I can't lie..even if I'm kinda mad at him at least doing this will probably have her not like him anymore..which is..good.. I guess.
You thought before sitting down at your seat, though it seems you forgot yet again that a certain psychic was just a couple of feet in front of you...
Undeterred, Chio continued on her mission to engage Saiki, however, every one of her plans failed thanks to you, without anyone telling you to do so. Since Saiki only asked you one more time to fail her plans and the rest you accidentally did on your own.
It's raining hard.. good thing I brought my umbrella, or else I'd be soaked. You chuckled to yourself as you put your school shoes away back into your locker and grabbed your umbrella.
You walked out the front doors of the school, only to see Yumehara, standing there on her own. You didn't think twice before going up to her.
"Yumehara! What's wrong? Are you waiting for someone?" You asked, she turned around with a small, "Huh?" Before replying properly.
"O-Oh! N-No..I forgot my umbrella and I think I'm just going to wait for the rain to die down a bit before running to my house quickly.." She smiled sheepishly at you before frowning.
"Here." You handed her your umbrella and her eyes went wide for a second, but then turned into a mess. "W-What! No way! I could never do that to you! I'll be fine I sw-" You interrupted her by taking her hand and placing the umbrella in it.
You put your school bag over your head and ran into the rain before looking back and smiling at her. "Don't worry about it! A pretty girl like you shouldn't be running home in the rain!"
She saw you run off before she held her chest, her face was pink and she had a shocked look on her face.
No one has ever done this for me before...let alone someone as nice as her..and I've never felt like his before! Especially not towards any boys! Heck, even girls......I think I just found my soulmate!!!
Saiki's face dropped, in pure shock as he stood on top of the school. He was going to use his powers to make the rain stop, so Yumehara wouldn't try to share his umbrella with her. But you came along and made her fall in love with you instead.
He was not expecting that...
The rain stopped as you were running and you came to a halt, catching your breath as you did. "Dammit..I'm definitely going to get a cold tomorrow...!"
You then felt a warm hand on your shoulder and you were suddenly in your room. "W-What the..?!"
"Calm down, it's just me." A familiar voice said behind you. Stepping back, you looked to see the pink-haired boy himself. "First off, why were you following me, second of all, why did you telepor-" You interrupted yourself by sneezing loudly and sniffling, wiping boogers off your nose with your sleeve.
"That's why, you're going to get sick if you don't shower right now."
"Oh, who made you the boss of me, huh? I can shower when I wa-" Again you were interrupted but this time by Saiki teleporting you to your bathroom. "Good grief..stop your whining and just shower."
He closed the door behind him, leaving you in your bathroom. You groaned but listened anyway and started undressing.
Meanwhile, Saiki was in your living room, debating on telling you about Yumehara's feelings towards you. He feels it's important to tell you but then again, this was something Yumehara probably didn't want you to know.
In the end, he sighed and decided it was best if you didn't know, or to let Yumehara tell you herself...
Tumblr media
You were in your room, petting your cat and scrolling mindlessly on your phone when it started to buzz. You saw Saiki calling you, it was a very rare occurrence when he did because you actually got to hear his voice and he couldn't read your thoughts most times.
You'd be lying if you said you didn't sit up immediately and start to fumble with your phone as if you were playing hot potato. Your heart was starting to beat faster and your hands were starting to sweat too.
But, a deep breath in and a deep breath out helped a little before you answered the phone, "H-Hey Saiki..whatcha need..?" You answered timidly.
"I know I've been asking you for a lot of favors but this will be the last one in a while.."
For a while you didn't respond, shocked to hear how much Saiki's voice changed over the years. The last time you heard him actually talk was in middle school. And then he decided it was best to just not talk with his voice at all, using telepathy to talk to everyone now.
You slipped out of your trance after your cat meowed to you, calling your attention back. "H-Huh? O-Oh um sure whatever you need I don't mind doing favors for you y'know? It doesn't bother me-"
"Well it bothers me, anyway look, Nendou asked me, well no, my mom forced me to go to the beach with him, and I don't want to stay with just him and Kaidou."
"Right, and you want me to come along with you? Sure, I don't have anything planned. But I'm kind of surprised, aren't I just another nuisance, as you'd put it?" There was teasing behind your tone, and you chuckled slightly.
But despite your laughing, you couldn't stop thinking about his damn voice. How deep it has gotten, it was so much different from what you usually hear.
Your mind was wandering off into more about his voice..the things he could get you to do with just a couple of little words out of his mouth. God..what would he sound like during s-
"You definitely are one but it'll be less annoying with you there to get me away from all the other nuisances."
"Fine, I'll go. It's not like it won't be fun. Let me just get ready and I'll meet you guys there, okay?"
"All right, also, stop thinking lewd things about my voice. Or else I'm never using it again."
With that, he hung up, and you were left dumbfounded. You thought he couldn't read your thoughts right now, but then again your houses weren't that far away from each other.
It was honestly more embarrassing that he caught you thinking things like that...You were too distracted in the conversation to stop yourself from thinking whatever you wanted.
You hid your face your hands in embarrassment, and wanted to just disappear. But the beach awaited you.
"Hey Saiki.." You muttered as you came up behind him. The look on your face said you didn't want to be here right now. And honestly so did your thoughts.
I can't even look at him.. I mean he probably doesn't care but I overstepped! He doesn't like nor care for any sort of love. Stupid thoughts! Ruining everything..I should've just faked sick..it would've been believable too since I ran in the rain yesterday..now I gotta deal with the embarrassment of th-
"Hey, L/n! Check out Kaidou, he can't swim! Can you believe it? C'mon tell L/n how afraid you are of the water!" Nendou said, laughing and teasing Kaidou.
You groaned slightly and sighed. You were still in your regular outfit, your swimsuit under. You were honestly a bit insecure about being so naked. It wasn't like your swimsuit showed much skin but the last time you went to the beach was when you were around 12.
"N-No..! That's not true! I know how to swim you jerk..! I-Im not afraid of the water..!!!" Kaidou walked up to the ocean and stepped slightly into the water, before you were suddenly behind him and pushed him in.
To your surprise, he was..kind of drowning? Not really, he sure did act like he was though. He was barely an inch into the water. But flailing his arms and legs around, screaming and yelling in a high-pitched voice.
"Drowning in inch-deep water isn't easy..." Saiki said to you, you turned to him before walking off. "I'm going to change, be right back.."
Saiki looked at your leave, and to be honest, he felt kind of bad, for invading your privacy during the phone call.
It's not like it bothered him you thought things like that, he knew you liked him and you guys were both in high school, hormones everywhere, so, he didn't care. Sure it was surprising when he heard you think things like that about him here and there, but as said before, it doesn't bother him. Mostly because you try to not think of those things about him, you feel extremely guilty about it and he knows that.
You looked at yourself in the mirror and felt like throwing up, but you decided to suck it up and go out anyway. What else were you going to do? Not go out?
You sighed heavily and walked out, wearing your bathing suit, making your way to where everyone else was, and it looked like Hairo had joined all of you.
Looking around you saw Nendou trying to talk to some girls, Kaidou was surrounded by girls, who were saying how cute he was and touching his spikey hair, and Hairo saved Kaidou after Nendou buried him in the sand.
As for Saiki, he was nowhere to be found. "Hey guys, where's Saiki?" You asked all three of them. "Dunno, I think he went to the bathroom or something," Nendou replied.
You nodded and sat on the towel he was on before. Everything was peaceful for a moment before you heard screaming from a girl, you looked over to see her drowning..?!
"Hey hold on a sec! That girl's drowning!" You yelled out and ran off to go save her. Nendou was already on his way, but you decided to go anyway, just in case.
"Kaidou, I'll go rescue her and you go get Hairo!" He yelled out, but Kaidou was next to him, swimming just fine. "oh so you can swim..!" He added but Kaidou didn't realize he was swimming until Nendou pointed it out, leaving him to stop and start to sink into the water.
Now Nendou was carrying Kaidou, while also swimming towards the girl. "Nendou! Don't worry about her I got it! Just take care of Shun..!" He nodded before you got to the girl, who was rapidly sinking. You grabbed her arm and put her on your back.
She was a lot lighter than you expected and as you quickly swam to shore you realized why. Kusuo! Of course..! I have to thank him for this later...
The sun set quickly and the girl was now well and alive, "Thank you for saving my life. I appreciate it, and hey, thank you too for trying, sorry I joked about how ugly your face is..." You smiled and Nendou nodded.
You smiled as you walked next to Saiki, along with Kaidou and Nendou. "I'm glad you didn't ask for her number in return for trying to save her life," Kaidou said to Nendou, you nodded in agreement.
"Hm, I try to be a gentleman, but if that hottie fell in love with me I'm not gonna try and turn her down" He smirked, you heard Kaidou whisper something and Nendou got all mad.
But you weren't really paying attention, your attention was more focused on the beautiful sunset that was in front of you.
"You aren't mad?" Saiki asked you, which caused your mind to lose its train of thought. Huh? What are you talking about?
"Nendou basically got all the credit for just trying to save her, but you actually did save her."
Oh, that. No, it doesn't bother me at all, she's safe and that's what matters, and thank you for helping too, without you, she would've died.
He nodded in return, "Oh right...by the way, I'm sorry for invading your space earlier, I can't help what I hear but I shouldn't have brought it up. I just want you to know, it doesn't bother me..so don't feel like you need to shove your thoughts deep into yourself..."
You stopped and he saw your eyes go wide and your face went red, you were muttering out nonsense that he couldn't understand.
Good grief..I should've just kept that to myself...
Tumblr media
It was very rare for you not to walk with Saiki to school, but you had woken up way too late and by the time you did, you figured Saiki was already at school.
But as you ran past Saiki's house, you caught a glimpse of pink through the corner of your eye and immediately stopped.
"...Saiki..? Why are you-"
"Hurry up, we're already late enough." You blinked in surprise for a moment before nodding and walking along with him.
Luckily his house and the school were only about a 5-minute walking distance so it wouldn't take you guys long to get there.
As you walked quickly next to each other, you couldn't help but think why he would wait.. you've never woken up late for school, so you had never been in this situation before.
Never in a million years would you think that Saiki would wait to walk with you, even if you two were very close.
"I waited for you because my mom would be a pain if I didn't. Can you think a little quieter now?"
You jolted up a bit in surprise but sighed, "What's got your panties in a bunch?" Yes, Kusuo always did seem angry or annoyed but usually, he wasn't. Today it was different though, it looked like he was genuinely mad.
He didn't respond though and just continued to glare, not even sparing you a glance. "Fine, don't tell me. Just don't be rude to anyone else who cares about you."
He finally looked at you, with a bit of a shocked look. But you were already walking ahead, leaving him.
You walked into the classroom alone, as Saiki trailed behind. You sat down at your seat with a sigh, hoping to relax at least a little bit before class began.
But of course, that wasn't the case. You heard loud yelling coming from across the classroom, looking up, you saw it was a bunch of boys panicking while surrounding Teruhashi.
"You've got a crush on someone?!"
"Teruhashi is this a joke?"
"Is it one of us?"
Teruhashi looked extremely nervous, trying to calm all the boys down, (although she was failing miserably). "It's someone I ran into over vacation..."
You felt yourself tense up at that, now it was your turn to be annoyed. Every single time Teruhashi even mentioned liking Saiki you felt all your thoughts turn into jealousy.
You tried not to be because honestly, you were never really a jealous person. You felt there was no reason to be, it only caused problems after all.
But it was so hard trying not to be mad when goddam Teruhashi liked Saiki, the most perfect, pretty, loved, girl there was in the whole universe.
With Yumehara liking Saiki you were jealous, sure. But you didn't hate her, unlike the girl who was right across from you.
You saw her staring at Saiki and you stood up, about to leave to compose yourself, before Teruhashi started up again
"It was the sixth of August when I first fell in love with him.." She closed her eyes and smiled as she spoke, raising a finger.
Yeah, and I've been in love with him for years, try it and come tell me it's all rainbows and sunshine, Teruhashi.
"I remember seeing you that day too, and the guy you were talking with..was Nendou!!" Someone chimed in, you were confused for a second before realizing she probably spoke to him after you had left her.
"YOU ARE WAY OFF IDIOT!" She yelled out, causing the group of guys to jump in fear. It was a surprise to everyone, even to you.
But Saiki had told you what Teruhashi is really like, hence the reason he doesn't like her. So was it really a surprise she burst out like that?
She quickly got back to her persona and started acting all sweet again, lying and telling the guys it was some Russian exchange student.
You groaned slightly in frustration before walking out of the classroom. It was best for yourself if you got out of that room.
"Hey, Y/n!" You heard someone call out to you, you were standing in front of a vending machine that was located near your classroom, this is where you usually went when you needed a drink to calm you down.
"Oh Shun, what's up?" You smiled softly as he ran up to you. "Look, I know this is out of the blue, but will you come with us to spy on Nendou?"
"Huh? Spy on Nendou? Also, what do you mean by 'us'?" He pointed behind him and that's when you saw Saiki.
Your face fell in slight annoyance but you decided to keep talking to them instead of making up some lame excuse.
"Nendou's been acting weird today, don't you think? He'd usually be asking us to go eat ramen with him or do something after school. But he's been real quiet."
You thought for a moment before nodding in agreement, "Now that you mention it, yeah he has been acting strange..alright I'll go with you guys."
Kaidou smirked, before walking away. "Right after school you two! Don't forget!" You smiled before turning back to Saiki. Truth be told, you were trying to figure out if he was still mad. All of a sudden, you remembered something.
You took one of his hands, it startled him slightly but he didn't pull away. You revealed your other hand, which was behind your back, bawled into a fist, and handed him a handful of something.
You took your hands away from his and he stared down at what you gave him, a small bundle of mini coffee jellies, there were about 4 of them.
"Here, take these and stop pouting. If you ever want to talk, I'm here." You mumbled out, he could see the faint blush on your cheeks and he could definitely hear your loud thoughts.
Which consisted of rambling and screaming, he wished he could turn off his telepathy at that moment. But then again, when doesn't he want that?
"Thanks..I really do owe you." Saiki still had to repay the favor you did for ruining Yumehara's plans, going with him to the beach, and now this.
He absolutely hated being in debt to someone, it didn't matter who, he hated it. And you knew this, so you always tried to reassure him. "Don't worry about it, it's no big deal to me. And if you really want to repay me that badly, I'll come up with something. But only if you really want me to."
"Yeah, please do. It's going to bother me, even more than Nendou does. Speaking of, we should probably head back to class."
You nodded in agreement before slightly smirking at him."What now?"
"Nothing. Just thinking about how much of a softie you are."
"His house isn't this way....he's got something going on.." Kaidou whispered to you and Saiki, as you all hid behind a wall.
As planned earlier, you were all trailing Nendou. Kaidou was in some weird disguise, on the other hand, you were in your regular school uniform, and so was Saiki.
"Why are you so excited by this?" Saiki asked him, but instead of responding he struck a weird pose.
"And what's with the outfit? It serves no purpose other than sticking out." You added, though usually you weren't one to judge Kaidou's actions, the disguise seemed a bit much.
"Shut up you two! Hey wait...what's he looking at?" You looked to see him smiling at a little girl with her dad. His smile was awful, scary in fact. He looked like a weirdo.
"Creepy!"
You all said. "I don't think that thinking the same thing is good.." You mumbled, Saiki nodded.
"Nendou has a thing for little girls?!" Kaidou asked you both, his face looked creeped out and worried. "Doesn't look good...we should probably call the police.."
"Hey, check it out, he's going into a store." You pointed at him, it was strange so it interested all of you.
Nendou went in and very quickly came back with a bouquet of sunflowers.
"Looks like a flower boutique, don't tell me he's got a girl-" Kaidou was interrupted by you and Saiki.
"No not Nendou.."
"Definitely not..."
Nendou started to walk off, all of you following him as he did. He stopped and smiled at another little girl, who was smiling with her father.
"Another one?!"
"That's just gross.." Kaidou muttered under his breath, honestly you didn't want to believe this situation. It's just not like Nendou.
"We'll confirm it after we call the police."
"Hey hold on, I feel like we need more proof, I mean c'mon, lots of people like sunflowers, and it's natural to smile when you see a cute little kid right?" You argued, it really didn't seem like Nendou to be a creep.
Kaidou thought for a moment before agreeing, "Y/n's right, all that is perfectly normal, we can't just stop there without any more evidence!"
"Good point, let's not be rash.."
After following him for a little while longer he went into another shop, "Where's he headed no-"
Kaidou suddenly interrupted you as he looked up at the sign of the store, a cake shop.
"CAKES..?! WOMEN AND CHILDREN CAN'T RESIST SWEET TREATS! SO WHEN YOU COMBINE A WOMAN AND A CHILD YOU GET A LITTLE GIRL!!" He yelled out, pointing to the store and looking back at both you and Saiki.
"Now you're jumping to conclusions.." Saiki said trying to stop Kaidou. But it didn't work, he kept going on and on.
"Kaidou-"
"HAVE YOU EVER SEEN NENDOU EAT THAT? OR LIKE FLOWERS! IT WAS ALL MEANT TO BE GIVEN TO SOMEONE BUT HE HAS NO GIRLFRIEND TO GIVE THEM TO!!!"
Jesus, make him stop Saiki..
"If I could, I would've already. Trust me"
You sighed in frustration, all this kind of seemed pointless now that you were actually thinking about it. Sure, it was a little creepy, but you were sure there was a reasonable explanation.
Kaidou went on about how Nendou was using the cake and flowers as bait to try and get little girls, but the more he talked the more it sounded like an unreasonable theory.
Nendou came out of the cake shop, holding a small pink box.
"Bummer..they were all out of shortcake..oh well. It's not like anyone will ever eat this.." You all heard him say, he smirked and chuckled as if he was some cartoon villain. It creeped all of you out and made Kaidou freak out even more.
"If it's not for eating it must be bait!" He yelled out and ran off to Nendou. "NENDOU!!!" Nendou turned around in confusion, all he saw was Kaidou running to him at full speed. Everyone was staring.
"YOU'RE SECRETS OUT!! HOW DARE YOU HURT LITTLE KIDS??!!! YOU MONSTER!!" He started punching him, but it sounded like little squeaky balls were hitting Nendou instead. It was no secret that Kaidou wasn't strong but this was surprising to you and Saiki.
"Is that what his punches sound like?"
"Wait..what secret? Do you mean my dad?" Kaidou stopped and you facepalmed. It went quiet for a while, all of you in a bit of shock, Saiki and you weren't as shocked as Kaidou though.
"He's dead?" Kaidou asked as all of you stood in front of Nendou's dad's grave. By now the sun had set and there was no one around.
"I visit him on the anniversary of his bus accident," Nendou explained, you looked down at the grave again, and then back at everyone else.
I knew it wasn't something bad. Nendou is genuinely a nice guy, he wouldn't do anything creepy. He definitely needs to work on his smile though...
"But the flowers and the cake?" Kaidou mumbled out, it was clear he was kind of sad that all his sneaking around was really for nothing.
"Respectful offerings to the dead! It's normal to bring cakes and flowers to a family grave!" Nendou held up the box of cake and smiled.
"To think Nendou's lecturing us on normal.." You heard Saiki's voice but he quickly turned it off once he realized he was still talking to you telepathically.
What's the harm in showing what you're thinking? That's not fair y'know?. You know every little thing I think but when it comes to your thoughts I can't know even a little.
"Yes because they're my thoughts, also how many times do I have to tell you I can't turn off these powers.."
You pouted slightly but sighed and let it go. He was right after all. Like always.
"When did your dad die, Nendou?" Kaidou asked, snapping you out of your thoughts.
"Well, it was before I was born. He died trying to save a little girl who'd run in front of a bus..huh maybe that means he was into little girls.." You cringed at the last part, and so did everyone else.
"Uh..hope not.." Kaidou said, chuckling awkwardly. "That's a dark joke.."
"So if he died before you were born, he must've been pretty young.."
"He was only 18 or 19 years old, here look! I got his picture!"
"Hey, this is just a picture of you!"
"Nah it's him! My mom says I look more like him each year! Weird..!"
"You don't look like him you're, the same!"
Kaidou and Nendou talked and argued a little back and forth. Saiki stayed quiet but you chuckled a little as you heard their bickering.
They really do look alike, it's kinda scary that they look almost like twins. But Nendou has a scar over his left eye, and his dad has over his right. That's a scary thought on its own since they can only be told apart because of one thing. Right, Saiki?
You looked over and saw him up at Nendou's dad's grave, he looked mortified, extremely mortified for that matter. "Hey guys, wanna go get some ramen!?" Nendou called out to you two as he and Kaidou were already walking off.
"Saiki..? What are you looking at?" You asked in a bit of a shaky voice, you weren't scared, you were worried. Seeing Saiki shocked or scared was something you never saw. Ever.
Walking with Saiki alone almost always consisted of awkward silence. But it was different today, Saiki was thinking, and hard. It was obvious, he had his hand on his chin and everything. You'd laugh if you weren't so spooked.
"So are you gonna tell me what you saw..?" As he was about to answer, you reached his house and he saw a piece of mail sticking out.
"Mail?" He took the envelope and it was addressed to him. "What is it?" You peeked over his shoulder and your eyes widened as you read the letter.
"To Mr. Kusuo Saiki, I am someone who knows you're a psychic."
"......."
"What...."
Tumblr media

Grand Prix Morning (Oscar Piastri x Reader)
Congratulations Oscar on his first win!!
Summary- After watching the Hungarian GP and seeing Oscar apologise after his first win, you wish you could make him feel special and that he deserved it. So, you go to bed and wake up on the day of the GP!
Tumblr media
{Reader's POV}
I wasn't sure if I should be happy or sad right now. Oscar Piastri just won his first race in Formula One and in his second season. That was such a proud moment until you remember the actual shit McLaren pulled on their drivers. I had been watching the race today, Oscar was pretty good in the beginning and being his fan I obviously hoped that this was the race he finally got his first win. But after the pit stop and Lando leading I didn't think possible; until I heard the radio message. I had mixed feelings. I rejoiced watching Oscar cross the chequered flag. But then I heard his message, apologising. It broke my heart into a million tiny pieces. But what could I do? My voice would be a tiny whisper in the sea. I shut my TV off, not in the mood to watch any of the post race stuff; because I felt bad for Lando too. I couldn't bear sitting through the interviews. So, I made myself some dinner, watched a rom-com to get my mind of things and went to bed, earlier than usual. I would deal with my emotions tomorrow.
Now when you normally sleep, you expect to wake up in your own bed, as an adult at least. When you were kids, that was a different story. My eyes were adjusting to the dimly lit room and a figure in front of me, walking around the room as quietly as possible. The room looked like a hotel room and the figure in front of me was Oscar Piastri. "Oscar" I said out loud. "baby, did I wake you up?" he asked like a deer caught in headlight. "No" I replied tentatively. Was this a dream? Was I this sad that this is how I was coping? "What's the time?" I asked reaching for the lamp. "It's 6 am. I'm gonna get some exercise done before I head to the paddock" he said while tying up his shoe lace. "I'll come with you when you leave for the paddock" I stated; scared to be alone where ever I was. "Sure babe" he replied, striding up to my side of the bed, leaning down and leaving a peck on my lips before whispering a bye against my lips and heading out.
My brain had short circuited. Oscar Piastri kissed me and called me terms of endearment. This has to be a dream but those pink lips were so real, warm and slightly dry and peeling. The way his hand cupped my cheek when he pecked me, the warmth still lingering against my skin. I reached for my phone to check what weekend it was; to my surprise it was the Hungarian Grand Prix today. The race Oscar won, maybe I'm here to wrong the right. I quickly showered and got dressed. If I got to be a WAG even for a day, I was gonna enjoy it. I wore a pretty coral midi dress. As I sat there in the room waiting for Oscar to return, a smile etched on my face as I went through my gallery.
We had been dating for a while, since his F2 days. He was all the bit romantic as I imagined him to be. My parents loved him, his parents loved me. This felt like a fairytale. There was one problem, Oscar would probably know that I was someone else and not his 'girlfriend'. I don't know how this version of me acted. The jig would be up so soon.
Oscar walked through the room, all sweaty and red from the work out. "Lemme shower and then we'll get breakfast" he said not even looking up while taking his shoes off. The moment his eyes travelled up from my legs to my face, a smirk plastered across his face. "You look gorgeous" he said almost breathless. I couldn't help but giggle. "You look hot" I replied. "Only for you" he shrugged. I felt the heat rise up from my cheeks. "Can't believe I can still get you this flustered, even after so many years" he smiled with amusement. I got up from where I was sat, "You'll get me flustered even when I'm an old lady" I muttered. "That's the plan" he grinned.
A freshly showered Oscar was proving to be the bane of my existence like out of the gym Oscar was. I wanted to jump him, but it didn't feel right and I wasn't taking advantage of him like this. The way to the paddock was filled with casual talk. Who knew Oscar could talk. At the paddock, we greeted the other drivers and fans we saw along the way. The McLaren hospitality was bustling with both pole and P2 starts were McLaren's. I tried to speak to their race engineers to gauge the strategy but I wasn't allowed. I even tried to talk to Lando and Oscar about the race, but they were busy discuss the details amongst themselves to pay much attention. I spent the majority of my time trying to figure out what I was supposed to do to change the scenario. I wanted Oscar to win but not with the mess McLaren created.
As the race progressed, like I had watched it play out. I realised, I wasn't meant to change the process or outcome. I was just here because I hoped and prayed to be able to comfort Oscar and celebrate his win like I hoped he was supposed to enjoy his first win. I watched McLaren fuck it up whilst I stood there next to him. I heard Oscar apologise for the second time, shattering my heart again. I rushed to see Oscar with the staff in tow. Oscar got out of the car and looked around, our eyes met. He came running with his helmet in hand, "I won" he whispered, only for me to hear. "I saw" I replied with tears in my eyes. "I'm so proud of you. You've come so far Oscar. You're the Hungarian Grand Prix winner, don't apologise for your win whatever it may be" I whispered. Oscar's face inches from mine, his eyes glistening with tears at what I said, "I love you, Y/N Y/L/N" he said out loud while wrapping his free arm around my waist and pulling me in for a kiss. The kiss was a mixture of tears and sweat, since the two of us had started crying. I cupped his cheeks, deepening the kiss, our emotions were all over the place. "Go and get your trophy, I'll wait for you" I said while pulling away from the kiss. "Be right back" he grinned and left to get weighed.
The podium celebration was bitter sweet, but I was not gonna let this over shadow his win and do what I was here for. I quickly got flowers delivered to the hotel and some sweets. I waited for Oscar to be done with the media and stuff while scrolling through my phone. The discourse was on another level, but the pictures of me and Oscar kissing were circulating every where. I wish I could take this back with me. Oscar's mum called and we were on the phone for a while. My parents called us to congratulate him as well. It felt so weird to hear Oscar was my boyfriend.
Oscar found me in his drivers room. "There's my grand prix winner" I stated. Oscar wrapped his arms around my waist, lifting me up in the process. My hands stabilised myself on his shoulders. "I'm so happy we got to celebrate this together" he mumbled against my skin. "Me too" I muttered. "By the way, your mum called. You should talk to her later" I said urging Oscar to put me down. "Are you angry with me?" he asked, placing me on the ground. "What? no" I replied. "You've been calling me Oscar or nothing at all the whole day. I didn't think much of it before but now you said your mum when you normally say mum" I was caught off guard, "It's nothing like that" I tried to diffuse the situation. "My mum texted me too about your win and yours called. I just wanted to clarify" I said. "Oh" he hummed. "Now, let's go. Let's have a Oscar Piastri worthy celebration" I continued. "Like what" he asked. "Dinner in bed and a movie of your choosing." I answered. "Finally, I get to choose." he laughed.
We got back to the hotel, where there were quite a few flowers. I may have gone over board. We entered the room which looked like a botanical garden at this point. Oscar smiled taking the scene in. "For me" he whispered. "For you" I whispered back. "I wanted to show you how much I love you and how proud of you I was. This is just a small token of my happiness Osc" I said. "You're the reason Lando calls me Osc. Find a new nickname. I don't like sharing it with him. But thank you for this" he remarked. "Sure darling" I announced. He walked through smelling all the flowers. We spent the rest of the night watching a movie Oscar had picked and eating our hearts content.
I was scared to fall asleep, what if I woke up back where I was supposed to be. What if this 'reality' ceased to exist? As my eyes got heavy, keeping them open was a task. Oscar had started succumbing to sleep having switched the TV off. "Thank you for making my day even more special then it was." He mumbled. "Thank you for letting me show how loved and appreciated you are. I love you Oscar. Today, tomorrow and always." I whispered kissing his forehead; letting sleep take me. If I woke up back in my world, so be it. At least I made Oscar's day.
When my eyes opened to the bright sun shining from my window, no Oscar in sight. A silent tear fell from my eye. I wiped it away. Happy that at the very least I was able to heal my heart, and maybe his in another universe.
my heart wanted to write this for a while

Always here ~ Brothers!Sturniolo Triplets
Tumblr media
Summary: You were always there for all four of your brothers no matter what, especially Chris, who one night, turned up at your doorstep.
Warnings: swearing, mentions of argument/fighting, nicknames, crying, slight angst, fluff
A/N: Please don't take this seriously, I know the triplets have their disagreements at times like many siblings, I don't see Matt or Nick acting/saying the stuff they do in this in real life, but remember it's a fanfic!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were sat curled up with a blanket on your sofa about to have a solo movie night. You had been at work all day and wanted just to relax for the night. As you were relaxing, you then heard the light pitter patter of rain. To you, it was relaxing and made you feel more calm and relaxed.
But then a knock was hard at your door. You felt confused as you weren't expecting any visitors. Yes, all your brothers were home in Boston, but you were planning on meeting up tomorrow for a sibling day. You checked your phone, not seeing a messages, so you thought whoever it was might go away.
But then they knocked again.
You sighed and got up, opening the door, only to see Chris standing there. His hood was up, his eyes were red, indicating he had been crying and slightly damp from the rain.
"Hey bud, get in!" You exclaimed, pulling him inside, not wanting him to get more wet and cold.
"Sorry to show up randomly, I know we're planning on hanging out tomorrow." He apologised.
"Don't say sorry, Chris. What's wrong?" You asked softly.
Chris then sniffed and started crying again. You frowned and pulled him over to the sofa, hugging him and whispering to him to help relax.
"They fucking went to far!" He shouted.
"Shh buddy, it's okay. Just relax." You cooed, rubbing his back.
Once Chris had calmed down to a few sniffles, you gave him a comforting smile.
"Wanna talk about what happened?" You offered.
"Nick and Matt." He mumbled.
"What happened? Weren't you filming tonight?" You asked.
"Yeah, but they just kept saying stuff." He responded.
"Tell me, bud." You said.
"It was going well, the beginning anyways. Matt was making a few jokes and so was Nick. I joined in and it was all good. But as we got closer to the end of filming, they both seemed to team up on me. Saying how I was helpless and needy. How I should really have some time away from both of them. Then when we stopped recording it just got worse." He told you.
"How so?" You asked.
"Saying shit. Baby jokes and calling me stupid and saying I was too loud, that I'm like a child who need attention all the time." He continued.
You frowned as you saw the sadness overtake his usually joyful face. You knew the boys teased each other a lot, you sometimes joined in on the teasing as their older sister, but this seemed to have gone too far.
"Don't worry buddy, I'm sure they will realise and apologise soon enough. You want to watch a movie with me?" You responded.
Chris nodded as you curled up on the sofa again, now joined by your youngest brother. You put on a Back to the future, knowing that was Chris' favourite and would ease his mind.
After the movie finished, you noticed Chris was fast asleep. You pulled the blanket over him and left the TV on low. You then grabbed your phone and went into the kitchen, calling Nick.
"Hey sis!" He cheered as he answered.
"Nicolas Antonio! What the fuck is wrong with you!" You shouted.
"Woah, what did I do?" He asked.
"You and Matt get your asses to my place, now!" You instructed.
"Y/n, it's one in the morning." He replied.
"Now, Nick." You said.
"Alright, on our way." He sighed.
You hung up the phone and went back to the living room, seeing Chris still asleep. You smiled slightly, remembering times from when you were younger.
Ten minutes later, your front door opened and Nick and Matt walked in. When they saw Chris, they both knew what it was about.
"I thought he might be here, seen as he wasn't in his room." Nick said quietly, not wanting to wake his brother.
You walked into the kitchen, followed by two of your brothers and sat at the island.
"He was really upset, guys." You said.
"We figured." Matt mumbled.
"I'm not going to sit here and treat you like little kids, your both twenty-one, but sometimes you all have to remember the teasing can go too far. I'm not defending Chris and saying he hasn't said shit to either of you before, but in this case, you both really hurt him." You continued.
"We fucked up, we know it. We'll apologise." Nick said as Matt nodded in agreement.
You nodded as you heard faint footsteps, indicating Chris was awake. He walked into the kitchen and saw Nick and Matt.
"Oh, hey." He called quietly.
"Hey Chris, sorry about earlier, that was shitty of us." Matt said.
"It's fine." Chris mumbled.
"No, no it's not. As your brothers we shouldn't be using your personality against you. We love how careful you are and were total bitches." Nick replied.
Chris gave both of them a smile, struggling to be mad. The three shared a group hug, making you smile.
"Thanks Y/n." Chris said.
"Your welcome. I'm your older sister, I can't have you three fighting and being mad with each other. I raised you better than this." You responded, making them laugh.
"Remember, I'm always here. Okay." You added, making the trio nod.
You smiled and knew it would turn into a sleepover at your place, but you could handle it, knowing your brothers were all happy again.
She…What? Chapter Five
Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris, Daniel ricciardo x Reader
Daniel finally talks to Oscar and Lando just can’t help but put his hands on her
Oscar couldn't move, he knew he should have, maybe run to Lando say what he saw. No that would be extremely selfish to ruin his night. Something was pulling Oscar in and keeping him there. He shouldn't be watching his friend's Girlfriend getting railed by another man, and he most certainly shouldn't be squeezing his cock at the sight. Twice tonight she's gotten him hard and yet this time he had no problem with it. He was pulled back to reality upon feeling his phone vibrate in his back pocket. It was a message from Lando asking where he was. He looked up one more time before turning away, hoping he'll remember the image of her tomorrow.
She awoke with a pounding headache the next morning, naked in Daniel's bed. "Morning Darling." He grumbled, pulling her closer to avoid the light from the open curtains. She moaned quietly pushing her head further into his chest, not wanting to wake up quite yet. "No, hurts too much." She never really knew her limit when it came to anything so trusting her with alcohol could be dangerous, especially when she wakes up hung over. "I know love." Daniel whispered sweetly, playing with her hair before reaching for the nightstand, grabbing water and some ibuprofen. Daniel didn't drink too much last night, he didn't feel like he deserved it. They continued to enjoy the others company for a while, waiting for the pain killers to kick in. "So, last night, what happened with Lando." Daniel said, lying back with a smirk on his face. "Wow you really are interested in your friend's sex life, it's almost like you want to fuck him yourself." She laughed, finally sitting up as he rolled his eyes. "Well, he blindfolded me, tied my wrists and make me watch him fuck me in front of the mirror, you know, the usual." She laughed, looking for any item of clothing she could used to cover her chest.
"Can we talk about something more serious?" Her head turned fast at his question, chest filling with worry. "Always." She whispered, coming back to him. Daniel let out a large sigh before beginning to speak. "So you remember Oscar seeing us last night?" She nodded slowly, knowing this could be a problem for his career, if Oscar decided to be really petty it could go all wrong for Daniel. "Why didn't you tell me you were sleeping with him." He said with a pointed tone, she was not expecting such an aggressive start to the day. "I'm not now, nor was I before. We agreed that if we were to sleep with anyone then we'd consult each other first... What's happened?" Her hand made contact with his chest, feeling the rapid heart rate. "I saw him in the elevator before I went to the club yesterday, and I may or may not have started on him. But he was still nice to me after and I feel like a bit of a dick. But then he saw us and well, he was getting off on it. No one normal would do that unless they were involved before, and I know for fact that I wasn't sleeping with him." First he was jealous of Lando and now Oscar, he was going a bit too far after being the one to suggest this relationship. "Maybe he's just a pit of a perv because I promise you I've not had any form of sex with him, or frankly even had any contact with him." She elaborated, swinging a leg over Daniel's lap. "Then why was there a McLaren hoodie with the number eighty-one on it in you're room?" He said clearly still annoyed. "Because, Lando was walking around the paddock hard and Oscar was being kind by giving him the hoodie to cover up. Lando left it behind the first time I gave him a blowjob. You can ask him you're self." She spoke quietly with her arms crossed over her chest. "No I believe what you're saying it just hard for me to adjust. That's no excuse but it's the reason. I needed to shift the blame from myself. But that's wrong of me. I'm sorry Love." He muttered the last part into her skin, running his hands over her hips. Guilt quickly consumed him.
"Would you be okay if it happens in the future because I have a feeling either Lando will ask for him or he'll come directly to me." She asked worried it could end badly. "Not really. If I'm honest, I'm still kinda mad at him. I know, I know he's not done anything but still. I just don't know about him. It's different with Lando, I'm actually close with him you know...Let me sort some things out with him first. Then we'll see." He said, chest puffed out slightly. Her nerves eased slightly as she grabbed his jaw, kissing his lips softly.
"You know what I'm like...I love to tease my men." She giggled out, receiving a harsh smack on her ass. "Don't start. You know what I'm like, I'll punish you." He said in a low voice, pulling her up so she was in his lap." You know I'd like that, Danny." She was quick to start grinding down, moaning quietly. "Darling, we can't. We have to be out of the room in half an hour." He groaned desperately wanting her. "Fine." She huffed rolling off of him, looking in his suitcase. "You were fucked twice yesterday and that still wasn't enough, need me to get you off again. Truly insatiable." The Australian laughed, bringing his hand behind his head, letting a sigh escape his lips. "You've never complained." She muttered, throwing a shirt at him. "I could never, I love watching you cum. Although it's not fair that women can have multiple orgasms and men can't. Otherwise you'd be on my dick a lot more." Her only response was a quick laugh as she grabbed his things, placing them neatly in his suitcase. "As much as I love seeing you like this, you need to put some clothes on. My room is a mess and we need to go soon." She stated, pulling Daniel from under the covers.
They walked rather quick towards her room, Daniel's hand around her waist as they made their way through the hallway. After struggling with the key to the door she rushed towards the bed. Daniel was quick to follow, deciding it was best to help her gather her things. "Woah, you didn't tell me you bought this." He stated dumbfoundedly, holding up a slick red vibrator. "I have to keep some tricks up my sleeve." She grabbed the silk from the floor and folded it quickly in her hands, placing it gently in her suitcase. "Oh, you weren't kidding about the blind fold. You really did have fun yesterday." He laughed tapping her ass before walking around the room, noticing the infamous McLaren hoodie. "You still have this?" She looked up briefly before zipping her last bag up. "Yes, I've not had the time to give it back. Lando was supposed to take it back to him the other day actually." She grumbled to herself, headache coming back. Daniel carried the hoodie in his left hand while guiding her out of the room. "Let's get you something to eat, it should help." They left the room in silence and headed towards the lift, she hugged him close as the dizziness set in. "I'm going to take this back to Oscar, gives me an excuse to talk with him." Daniel said, shrugging his shoulders. She smiled before replying, "I'll walk there with you, I want to speak with Lando, see if he even alive."
They walked back into the paddock late in the afternoon. Daniel needed to speak to his team about the race the day before as well as speak with Oscar. They made way to the McLaren hospitality and waited for the drivers to come out. Lando was first to make an appearance, coffee in his hands, trying to stay awake. "Hey Lovely." He whispered out, kissing her cheek. "You alright mate?" He turned to Daniel with a puzzled look. "Yeah, I'm good, you good to speak later though? The usual?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow. Lando nodded, slipping his hand in hers. "Can you do me a favour? Send Oscar out here. I need to talk to him." Lando nodded once more, guiding her into the building. It was a general rule that other drivers were not allowed into another team's hospitality. "Hey Osc, Daniel wants to speak with you outside." Oscar was shocked, that much as clear from his face.
If Daniel was concerned about him telling the media about what he saw that was understandable, but realistically he wasn't going to say anything, no matter how much Daniel disliked him. He was nervous walking through the door, he didn't know what to expect. The first thing Oscar noticed was his hoodie in the hands on the other Australian. "So...What did you want to talk about?" His nerves were showing, Daniel handed to top to him before speaking. "Mostly what you saw last night." Oscar cheeks pinked at the thought, if he was being honest, he masturbated in the morning thinking about her, he wanted to be the one making her moan. "That's fucked up man. You cant do things like that to your friend." He was almost furious that how casual Daniel was making the situation. "Hold on, it's not what you think...Lando knows." Daniel rushed out, pulling Oscar to the side, hopefully avoiding the listening ears of everyone around, Oscar let out a quiet and confused 'what?' before letting Daniel speak again. "Look, we have a pretty odd relationship. We were guess together first and I suggested that she start seeing Lando as well." Oscar's jaw dropped midway through the explanation. "She was with Lando the day you gave him you're hoodie, and that may have caused some temporary problems between us. You know, communication is pretty important in this kind of relationship. Well what I'm trying to say is that I'm sorry for talking to you like that yesterday, you didn't deserve that." Daniel averted his eyes, felling slightly embarrassed. "Thanks, sorry I just don't really know how to react. I understand why you're so mad though. Technically I did take your seat and caused a multitude of problems for you, so it's alright."
"I do have a few questions if that's alright." Oscar stated, pulling the hoodie over his head, quickly realising it didn't smell like him or Lando. Daniel nodded quickly, looking around. "So is this some kind of open relationship or is she...you know... a prostitute?" Oscar cringed using that word but anything else sounded too vulgar. Daniel laughed loudly, head falling back slightly. "No she's not. We aren't really together either. It's complicated. But yeah, I think open relationship is the best way to put it." Oscar nodded, finally understanding, although he with still on edge around him.
At the same time, Lando was quick to pull her into his drivers room. Kissing her neck as soon as the door was closed, she moaned quietly, knowing there was still plenty of McLaren employees in the building. "Missed you." He mumbled into her skin. It was when Lando woke up to an empty space on his bed he realised how much he craved her presence. "You were with me last night." She giggled, feeling him sucking on the base of her neck. He wanted to tell her she was all he could think about, he wanted to say that she was consuming him, but he just couldn't, he didn't know how. "Doesn't mean I don't miss you." She tugged on his hair lightly, wanting to look at him. "I have a little proposal to tell you about." Lando moved back, pulling her to sit on the bed with him. "Daniel and I have talked about it and of course I need to speak with you as well. What about bringing Oscar in on this?" Lando didn't speak for a while, and it concerned her very much. "I mean, I don't really mind. It doesn't affect me too much." He shrugged his shoulders as he spoke. Not really seeing how this was supposed to bother him. "Don't tell him about it though, I want to see how he reacts to being told about our relationship. I'm not sure whether he will ask you or me about it first." She said, lifting his shirt up. Lando made haste in pulling it off, reaching for her top. "Definitely ask me...Now come on, take your clothes off."
[ 16:22 ] — SUNA RINTARO
Tumblr media
suna hates how this situation would never have happened if it weren't for, well, him.
when he asked you to move in with him, the only thoughts crossing his mind were things he can't wait to experience with you. like being able to wake up next to the love of his life or cook breakfast for you when he's up early in the morning or holding you before you sleep at night, knowing you'd still be there when he wakes up tomorrow morning.
he didn't think that this would happen.
this refers to you and his oh so perfect neighbor— kita shinsuke.
now he didn't have a problem with the man, no, kita was the embodiment of perfect. he's nice, caring and friendly. too friendly, he might say.
suna eyes you suspiciously, watching you talk with the grey haired man as he helps you carry your belongings to your new shared living room. it was like he, the love of your life (he thinks he is at least), wasn't there at all
"babe?" he hears you call for him.
"hmm?" maybe you finally realized he was sitting by the sidelines, maybe you're finally noticing him now, maybe—
"can you open the door? our hands are kind of full." you asked brightly, shattering his smile.
"sure." he replied with a pout that went unnoticed by you since you were so enamored with kita.
so can you blame him for being petty? he was a petty, petty man before you guys got together. it only made sense if he carried it throughout your relationship.
even now, hours after you both had settled in, some TV show playing in the background, you're still talking about his oh so perfect neighbor.
"and he said he can help me with decorating the balcony too! he gave me pointers on how to start a lil garden and— rin? rin, you listening?"
"mhm, sounds nice babe." he mutters, eyes trained on the screen he wasn't even focusing on.
"what's wrong?" you inched your way closer to him. "did you not want that? we can change that."
"i don't care about the stupid garden." he said instead, still not looking at you.
"oh. okay, i'm sorry then." he feels you shift away and guilt fills him. shit. okay, he didn't mean to sound so harsh.
he grabs your hand before you get any far and sighs, "i'm sorry. we can have a garden if you want. anything you want, pretty. you know that."
"you're not upset about the garden are you?" you said, scooting closer to him. "did i do something?"
his darting eyes answered your question.
"rin, i won't know if you don't tell me. what'd i do?"
"you were paying attention to kita-san a lot." he admitted with a pout. "it's like i wasn't there at all."
"oh." he hears you say, then turned to look at you.
only to see you holding back a smile.
"what're smiling about? i'm upset." he pouts even more, which only makes you smile more. "baby!"
you cracked. now you're full on giggling. "i'm sorry! i just didn't expect you to be the jealous type!"
"i'm not jealous." he states. "i just didn't like it." he wasn't jealous, or at least he would never admit that in front of you.
"i'm sorry, baby." you kissed his pout away. "but there's nothing to be jealous about. i'm literally moving in with you. and kita-san was just being a nice neighbor, nothing more."
“i might forgive you if…” he says, almost too nonchalantly.
“if?”
“if i get more kisses.” he eyes you from the side, his pout seemingly even poutier.
you grinned, now sitting side by side with no gaps in between. “you drive a hard bargain.”
“Its what i deserve,” he mutters, his smile betraying him as always.
⤷ MICHAEL AFTON
Michael is the type to get jealous easily. He's insecure, has abandonment issues, is making minimum wage and has a fuck ton of trauma attached to him. He knows he isn't the best boyfriend one could ask for, and that you probably deserve so much more, so seeing you with other people he just knows are better than him? It makes him want to crawl into a hole and cry.
Despite how easily he gets jealous, he doesn't show it very often. He refuses to guilt you into staying with him, or isolate you from having relationships outside of him. His father did that with his mother, and he got front row seats to see how well that turned out for them.
Michael doesn't make a lot of money, so he can't get you expensive gifts or take you out on fancy dates. Instead you both often go on walks, have picnics and watch movies at home. He'll save up for occasional amusement park, circus or whatever else you like for dates, though he tries to save those for special occasions.
He probably stays over at your place quite often. He doesn't like to be alone and he doesn't like the idea that he'll wake up tomorrow and get a call that someone broke in and killed you, or something like that. He stays over where you live often for that reason. He doesn't let you go to his place, either, since he knows the animatronics could easily figure out where he lives if they wanted.
He gets a lot of nightmares, too. He doesn't expect you to comfort him or anything, he knows he can be stressful and doesn't want your sleep being put aside for something as stupid as a bad dream. He doesn't really want you to do so, either, since he feels so guilty. The best thing you can do for him is let him cling to you, hug him back and go back to sleep.
He most certainly has an eating disorder. He forgets to eat and drink most of the time, and majority of the time when he doesn't forget he either thinks it's too much work or too expensive or just not worth the effort. However, if you bring him food or a drink, he'll make sure to consume all of it, no matter how nauseous it makes him. If he ends up vomiting, he might have a breakdown from guilt. Especially if you made it yourself.
On a less angst filled note, Michael is really good at making food. If you have ingredients and don't mind him messing around your kitchen, he will make the most heavenly tasting food you can imagine. Since he doesn't work during the day, he'll make you breakfast when he gets back, alongside lunch for whatever you have to do during the day.
He'll also make you dinner, with him making you m meals a good chunk of the time, it makes there be at least one less thing to stress you out. At least, that's what he's hoping for. If you give him the money, he'll go grocery shopping for you as well! He has all your preferred brands memorized too, so not to worry about that.
His parents didn't teach him very basics things about hygiene or cleaning, so while he isn't really a messy person, he doesn't know how most things work and decides to just leave things where they are. If you teach him to do the dishes, use the laundry machine or a vacuum, and assure him you won't get mad if he does something wrong, he might try doing some of your chores for you.
If he does it right and it makes you happy when he does it, he'll keep doing it. It makes him pretty happy, actually, to be doing it. He remembers his classmates whining about having to do chores with their mothers while he spent most of his day worried he's get yelled at for moving a glass over to the sink from the counter. Most might think it's boring to clean, but he thinks it's nice. And if it makes you happy, and makes your life easier? He's pretty ecstatic to be doing the dishes.
Michael naturally runs really hot. He could be your personal heater easily, and he's very comfortable and warm to hug. Despite how warm he is, he gets cold super easily, so he's always dressing warm and laying under blankets, which just makes Jim run even warmer.
He has a soft spot for children. If he builds a more stable life and routine with you, he'll probably try doing babysitting during the day for some extra money. He's actually really good with kids, too, even if he might seem sort of intimidating at first. He's also able to make all of them eat their vegetables and fruits, so parents adore him as well.
He is weak for matching things. Matching outfits? Keychains? Bracelets? Phone cases? Mugs? Blankets? Shoes? He doesn't care, he just loves the idea of matching with you.
He likes doing arts & crafts. Sometimes the kids make him do it with them too, and he's pretty good! He occasionally gives you those handmade bead bracelets. If he sees you wearing them he'll probably cling to you for the rest of the day.
Michael is actually like, really good at singing. He'll sing when he cleans, when he's doing his night shifts, when he's cooking or baking. If you like his singing, he might sing you a lullaby to help you sleep. If you sing with him he will be the happiest person on earth.
He likes a lot of things that are less traditionally masculine and more traditionally feminine, like flowers and soft things. (Blankets, stuffed animals, etc.) If you get him flowers, he'll press or dry them so he can keep them for much longer.
He's not much of a fan of animals, and animals don't like him that much. The exception being foxes, since he thinks they're very pretty. If you have any pets, he'd be happy to help you takecare of them, but he won't have a very deep emotional connection with the animal.
Tuesdays.
You were almost asleep when your phone buzzed against your pillow, causing you to wake up in a bit of a shock. You hated falling asleep watching TV…but you did it almost every night. You reached under the throw pillow to find your phone. The lock screen was too damn bright, so you squinted your eyes to read the notification.
New Message: Carmy - Are you up? I know I said I didn't but I think I need you tomorrow. Can I count on you?
You read the message a few times over. You started working at Carmen Berzatto's restaurant a few weeks ago and quickly became enamored by the chef. He was handsome and smart, you couldn't help it! Between the small compliments on your dishes and the way you seemed to always give each other little smirks... you felt something. You typed back.
Yes, I can make that happen. You caught me before I fell asleep.
The little bubble popped up to show that he was typing. You couldn't help but imagine him in his own apartment, sitting on the couch or lying in bed, texting you. You held back a smile at the thought. Your phone buzzed in your hand.
Yes what? And I need you to be on time. 9 AM.
You rolled your eyes, picturing Carmen at home and smiling at his own text. You were never late. Never. And he always made fun of you for it. He said you must sit outside the door until the exact moment you are scheduled. And of course, he expect you to say Yes, Chef.
No shit. Heard. And Yes, Chef.
You smiled at your phone, rolling over onto your back. You checked the clock. 11:52pm. Damn. It was later than you thought. Your phone buzzed again.
Good. See you tomorrow.
You didn't want to say goodnight. You and Carmy had a few nights where you would text and joke around just slightly. You wanted to initiate more. You wanted to keep talking to him. You inhaled deeply and typed a response.
Carm, I have a question for you. You can tell me to fuck off and go to sleep, but I want to ask... What do you really think of me?
Your finger hovered over the send icon for a moment. You considered deleting it, but you pressed send. You watched the bubble appear as he was typing. You kept re-reading your message as he typed, feeling embarrassed you even asked. Then, you saw his message come in.
Sometimes you can be reckless and impulsive to a fault. You have a tendency to push my buttons and get on my nerves, but I appreciate your willingness to speak your mind. Overall, I’ll keep you around.
You started typing immediately before you could even think.
I'll keep that in mind. I sometimes like getting a reaction out of you, if I'm being honest. Sometimes it is nice to know I can get under your skin. I like it. Goodnight, Bear.
Tumblr media
*************** the next day, after work ******************
Work kicked your ass. It was a very long day and Carmy was stressed and frazzled. You didn't really have any time to have a personal chat with him, it was all work-related. The only bit of reality you two had was when you dropped a pan that had been searing chicken and you looked up at him when he yelled at you. A few minutes later, he gave you the "I'm Sorry" sign language motion, and you moved on with your day. A million things went wrong during service. You wanted to talk to him again. You pulled out your phone as you sat down on the couch.
Hey, Chef. Service was crazy today. Sorry I didn't have a better grip on things. Hope you're ok. Today was chaotic.
You started making yourself a PB&J sandwich, your usual go-to when you would rather die than cook something. You were spreading the peanut butter when your phone buzzed on the counter.
I appreciate you. Chaotic is one way to describe it. But we made it through. What are you doing?
You finished your sandwich and took a bite. You stared at his message on your screen and contemplated what to say. You held your sandwich in your mouth as you started typing. Fuck it.
Making a PB&J sandwich. Don't laugh. It’s my comfort dinner... Maybe this is stupid and I am just tired, but I need to know. I know you look at me differently than you look at others like Tina. Do you find me attractive?
Send. You felt your stomach curl as you re-read your message. Fuckkkk. What if this ruined your chances of working for him for a long time? Ugh. You couldn't help it, you just had to know. You saw him typing and then not. Typing again, and then not. Shit. You flipped your phone over, you didn’t want to watch. You flipped it back over. Of course you needed to watch. You bit your lip as you saw the text come in.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't.
Christ. You felt your stomach do a few more curls as you took in what he sent. He was still typing and you waited anxiously, your thumbs hovering over the screen.
…But we have to remain professional. Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if Richie found out? We would never hear the end of it.
You knew he was right. You smirked as you typed a response.
Oh, Nat would be so smug too. We can just keep it between us.
You walked to your bed as you waited for his response. You felt high, knowing that you and Carmy were finally acknowledging this attraction. Your phone buzzed.
That is for the best. We can keep it under wraps for now. And as long as you don't push my buttons too much.
You chuckled as you responded. For now. For now. For now.
Hm. No promises on the button situation. I like to press them.
He heart-reacted to the response, a signal that he was fading away on the couch most likely. You couldn't blame him, you were exhausted.
******** the next day, after work************
The Beef closed at 6pm on Tuesdays. It was the only day that you didn't close at 10pm. Thank God. You enjoyed being able to have a little bit of evening before you collapsed in bed. You got home and jumped in the shower. You heard your phone buzz as you washed your hair. You smiled, hoping it was Carmy. You hadn't even been apart for an hour, but you secretly hoped he missed you already. You finished washing yourself before stepping out of the shower and reaching for your phone.
Today took a lot out of me, not interested in cooking. I think I'll make a PB&J. Heard you like those. Wanna join?
You held your phone close to your chest as you felt a warmth spreading through your neck and face. This was moving faster than you thought, but you weren't mad about it.
Absolutely.
You responded. You hurried to your closet and threw on leggings, a purple sweater, and your boots. You dried your hair and threw on a bit of makeup. Carmy sent you his address along with another text.
Let's keep this low-key. I've got sweatpants on and don't plan on changing.
Carmen Berzatto in sweatpants. The thought made you blush.
*************later that night, Carmy's apartment***********
You walked up to the door and knocked three times. You were so nervous it was almost unbearable. The door swung open and you saw him. Carmen was standing at the doorway and slightly leaning on the doorframe. He had on grey sweatpants and a light blue long sleeve. His eyes were complimenting the shirt nicely. Damn, was he gorgeous. He grinned as his eyes dropped to your lips and then slowly back up to your eyes. It was a slight glance but you noticed it. “Hey..." He was so quiet with his greeting you weren't sure if you imagined it. He stared at you and your eyes glanced behind him into the apartment. "Fuck, right, um...come in.” He said with a furrowed brow, his voice so low it was almost a whisper. When he wasn’t screaming in the kitchen, he was a quiet guy. He stepped to the side so you were able to step in the doorway.
You smiled and slowly looked around his apartment. It was bare. Naked. Horribly white and empty. You felt Carmen’s eyes tracking you as you looked around. “It’s not much but it serves its purpose f'me.” He brought his hand to his mouth and rubbed his chin. While you took in the apartment, he helped you take off your jacket. He tossed it onto a lamp by the front door. You cleared your throat and turned to him. “Hope this is okay…” you motioned to your outfit.
Tumblr media
He smiled and looked down at his own outfit. “Yeah, yeah, definitely okay. When I’m not at work, I just want to…um… to be comfortable.” He tugged on the sleeves of his shirt. You stood around somewhat awkwardly as you watched him get a drink of water for you. He noticed your awkwardness and chuckled. “Sit down! You don’t have to act like a guest. Make yourself comfortable, chef.” He was trying to hide his awkwardness as well.
You sat down in the kitchen on the single stool at the bar top. Carmy started pulling out the bread, peanut butter, and jelly and assembling the sandwiches for the two of you. You still felt awkward and he knew it. “You can relax, y’know. The atmosphere here is different than the restaurant. I’m not gonna…” he sniffled, pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head. He raised his hand to the air trying to find the rest of his sentence. “I’m not gonna uh, yell at you or anything.” You blushed hard when he said that. Of course, it filled your mind with the image of him pounding into you against the countertop and barking sexual instructions at you. You tried to stay grounded in the moment when you responded. “Right. Sorry. Those look good.” You looked at the messy sandwiches.
Carmy chuckled, his eyes glancing up at you and then back at the messy sandwiches on the bare counter. “Shut the fuck up.” He tossed the sandwiches on paper plates and put one in front of you. “Eat up, a Berzatto special.” He began. He leaned forward on the counter, only having the one stool forced him to stand. He had his elbows on the counter and leaned forward to you as you took a bite. “I’ve, uh...gotta ask… smooth or crunchy?”
You chewed your bite and covered your mouth with your hand as you licked the peanut butter from your teeth. “Oh, crunchy for sure.” You muttered. Carmy gently slapped the counter and brought his tattooed hand up to his curly locks and raked his fingers through. His arms looked so muscular and perfect… “Correct answer! Didn’t know you were a peanut butter aficionado.” You grinned. “Of course. You’ve gotta have some texture in the sandwich, or else it’s just-“ “Too fuckin' mushy. Yeah, yeah.” Carmen nodded as he finished your sentence and also his sandwich with a huge bite.
Carmy’s eyes were glued to you as you finished up your sandwich. He wasn’t afraid of staring, that’s for sure. The edges of his mouth curled up slowly, he enjoyed watching you eat the food he made. Even if it was just a PB&J.
Tumblr media
After you finished, Carmy took your paper plate and threw it away. “I, uh... Couch?” He mumbled, his arm outstretched to you as he stood on the other side of the kitchen. You wanted to grin at the way he couldn't formulate a proper question, but you didn't think you'd be able to either. You nodded, standing up. He kept his hand reached out, so you took his hand. He led you to the couch. You were obsessed with the fact that you were holding hands with Carmen. It was a ratty old couch. His setup was pretty awful. His little TV was balanced on a card table and the cords were a mess.
He flicked the television on to a random cooking show as you both sat down and then tossed the remote onto the coffee table that was covered in old bills and paperwork from The Beef. The couch was old and sunken in, not ideal for sitting apart from each other. His body immediately slid closer to you and he tossed his arm over your shoulders. “Comfy?” He asked, peering down at you from the corner of his eyes. He didn’t turn to face you, or else your faces would’ve been almost touching. You felt a surge of confidence and you turned your head towards him, gently placing your chin on his shoulder and cuddling up to him. He peeked down at you with that grin once again, the sides of his mouth curling up just slightly. “Very comfy.” You answered him.
You studied Carmen’s face. He had very strong features. His eyes sunk in a way that made him look perpetually sleep deprived. His nose and jaw were both chiseled to perfection. His lips had the perfect “M” curvature. You loved his lips, you would frequently catch yourself staring at them while he smoked cigarettes in front of you. The way the cigarette clung to his upper lip while he spoke would never fail to mesmerize you. He had a slight stubble, but not a beard. His hair was always so fucking messy and disheveled looking, but in a sexy way. Carmen didn’t have to even try to look good. Your thoughts were halted by Carmy placing his hand on your knee. “You uh... See something y'like?” He asked, referencing the way you were just completely staring at him. You felt your face flush. “Sorry, Carm. I am just not used to seeing you in this type of environment. It’s so different. Like… I’m just seeing you as Carmy, not Chef Carmen Berzatto. It’s different for me.”
Tumblr media
“Is it, uh....Good different?” He asked, tilting his head slightly as he turned to look at you. You softly nodded. “Okay.” He whispered. He gently placed his left hand on the side of your face, turning you to completely face him. His thumb gently grazed across your soft skin on your cheek. Your breathing stopped as you looked into his eyes. His stare was almost like a begging, his eyes speaking a language without even trying.
He studied your face, his eyes lingering on your mouth for a moment before sliding his hand up slightly to cup your jaw. He ran his thumb across your bottom lip in a gentle but firm swipe. You felt yourself melting under his touch. You inhaled sharply, your eyes fixed on his face as they slowly swam around your facial features. He smiled slightly when he heard your breath catch. His other hand was still on your knee. He gently tugged on your leg, helping your body pivot towards him.
You leaned in close to his face, the tension thicker than you thought possible. He slowly and carefully touched his lips to yours. You were surprised how gentle it was, but that didn’t last incredibly long. As soon as your lips touched, he pressed his tongue into your mouth. You felt how desperate he was to be close to you. The hand on your jaw moved to the nape of your neck and he kept you pulled close. He tasted like cigarettes and cologne. His grip loosened and you whimpered into the kiss, “I’ve wanted to do this for so long…” You felt him smile into the kiss as he replied. “Me too, but uh...stop talking now?”
He dropped his hands to your waist and gave you a playful squeeze. You continued to make out with Carmy for who knows how long. His strong arm wrapped around your waist as your body twisted on the couch. He pulled you in even closer, his other hand tangling in your hair. He nibbled your lip gently as he let go of your waist. “Lie back."
Tumblr media
You did as you were told and leaned back so you lay flat on the couch. He crawled on top of you without breaking the kiss for more than a few seconds. He placed himself between your legs as his kiss deepened. You’ve never had a kiss like this. It’s like your brain was able to completely shut off, the natural rhythm you both shared was exactly synced up.
You arched your back slightly in efforts to draw yourself closer to him. You peeked your eyes open to see Carmen’s face, completely relaxed and soft. His eyes were closed softly, his eyelashes fluttering lightly. His usually furrowed brow was relaxed for the first time that you had seen. Carmy broke the kiss as he pushed himself up slightly. His curls fell and his upper lip was wet with saliva. “Fuck me.” He whispered as he grinned.
You weren’t sure if that was meant as a compliment or…a request? Carmen cussed a lot. Sometimes it was because something was bad, but sometimes it was because something was really good. You hoped the latter. He slid his hand underneath the hem of your sweater, his fingers grazing over your bare skin. He moved his hand up your stomach and rested it right below your breast. His mouth hovered so close to yours, but far enough that you couldn’t kiss him. “You’re wearing too much.” He whispered as his fingers danced circles on your skin.
You both sat up, Carmen ripped his long sleeve shirt over his head, tousling his hair. You pulled your sweater off and unhooked your bra before throwing them both to the floor. Carmen took a moment to admire your naked chest. “Fuck, you’re uh... you're beautiful.” He mumbled. He reached behind you and laid you down again on the couch. He started placing soft kisses along your neck. His upper lip dragging along your skin between kisses. He left a trail of kisses down to your right nipple before sucking on it softly. You felt yourself melt even further into the couch.
He continued kissing lower until he passed your bellybutton and reached the waistband of your leggings. “Fuck, Carmy…” you whimpered as he dipped his tongue under the waistband, teasing you like crazy. You looked down and saw his nose pressed against your belly as he kissed your skin so desperately. You lifted up your lower half and he immediately grabbed your leggings and slid them down, your panties too. His hands found your upper thighs and he spread your legs slightly.
He kissed the soft skin on your inner thighs and looked up at you. The curls were tickling your skin as his eyes met your gaze. “Do you want me to go down on you?” He asked. Obviously. Duh. Please. Fuck yes. Now. You wanted to scream but all you could do was mutter “Yes…” between gasps. He kissed the spot right above your clit, humming as he did so. “Yes what?” He asked with confidence.
This made you inhale sharply because you knew exactly what he wanted you to say. Your mouth opened slightly as you stared down at him, his eyebrows raised but his eyes focused. “Yes, Chef.” You whispered. He smirked and slid down lower between your legs. He pushed your leggings completely off and grabbed your knees, placing them on his shoulders. “That's right...” he softly praised you as his lips met your core.
Instinctually, your hands grabbed Carmen's curls. You couldn't help it. The way his tongue repeatedly stroked you was driving you insane right away. You tugged on his hair and held him as close as you could. You felt his thumbs on either side of your opening, pressed into you and holding your legs open for his face. His nose was nuzzled against your clit while he ate you out, and you had no complaints.
Two of his fingers dipped between your folds and sunk deep into you. You whined loudly, craving more of him. Usually, you were fairly self-concious about your body and any noises you would make during sex... but with Carmy, you just didn't care. The pleasure was too overwhelming. He was still his shy, awkward self... but during this, Carmen had a surge of confidence, almost like he knew how good he was. He scooted up so his face was close to yours, his fingers still working at your core. "My fingers feel fuckin' good, hm?" He whispered as his lips hovered over yours.
Your face suddenly flushed with embarrassment as you opened your eyes and saw Carmy watching your facial expressions. You reached your hands up and covered your face, but then you felt his fingers stop moving inside you. "No, no, no don't...don't uh, don't cover your face, okay? I like to watch you enjoy it." Carmy whispered, nudging your hands away with his nose. You moved your hands from your face to the sides of his neck and played with his curls. "Yeah, like that...I dunno, it's uh, it's sexy f'me to watch." He grinned and blushed, and so did you.
You felt a surge of your own confidence. "Now you lay down." You whispered and pushed against Carmy's chest. He did not struggle as he quickly leaned back and flopped backwards on the couch. He watched as with wide eyes as you stood up off the couch and found your place on top of him.
Tumblr media
You liked the view of being on top of Carmy. His hair was messy, his cheeks were flushed, and his lips still shiny. His hands immediately found your thighs and hips. He gave them an affectionate squeeze and ran his hands up and down your thighs. He reached his hands towards your face and placed them on your cheeks and sides of your neck. "C'mere..." He whispered. You leaned down and he closed the gap between your mouths. He captured you in a deep and passionate kiss. You rocked back and forth with the kiss, creating some friction against the hardness you could feel in his sweatpants.
He broke off the kiss for a moment and held the sides of your face softly. "You're driving me crazy, y'know that?" He whispered before he went back to kissing you. His tongue was stale with cigarette smoke mixed with your own juices and he was an excellent kisser. Carmen looked down, his hands finding his waistband and tugging at his sweats. "Gotta get these off..." He started pulling them down. You realized he didn't have any boxers on, so when you began helping him pull them down, his hard erection popped out and lay against his lower midsection.
With his waistband now down at his knees, he pulled your hips back down on top of him. He groaned when he felt your wet folds against his cock, they slid up and down on him so perfectly as you shifted your weight. You wanted to tease Carmy.
You began grinding against him, letting your wet folds slide the length of him. Each time you reached his perfect pink head, you paused, wanting to drive him up the wall. You were succeeding. His cheeks flushed more with each glide against his length. His head fell back against the couch cushion as he let out a low groan, his hands desperately gripping your waist in an attempt to adjust your hips for him to enter you. That same feeling of confidence spilled out as you spoke. "Fuck, Carmy, you really want me, don't ya?"
He was growing more desperate with each moment that passed, but hearing you say that made his cock twitch. "Fuck, yeah I do, I really want ya..." he groaned as he reached up to your chest and his hands cupped both of your breasts. "Please, I..." He begged, sighing.
You lifted your hips slightly as you wrapped your hand around his length and held him vertical as you slid down on top of him. The moment his head fully entered you, you both let out a moan. Carmy's moan was desperate and whiny. He was melting. He needed you so badly. His fingers were digging into your hips as you settled back down on top of him, his length stretching you out. He lifted his hips barely to make sure all of him could be inside you. "F-fuck... feels so amazin'..." He whispered between breaths.
He couldn't tear his gaze away from you. He was so submissive for you. He watched in awe, his lips parted as you started riding him slowly. His hands were strong against your hips, but not hurting you. He was attempting to let you set the pace, but his begging grip was speaking for itself. "C'mere..." He exhaled, wanting to kiss you. You leaned forward as you kept riding him. Your mouths met in a messy, desperate kiss. His hand tangled in your hair. His voice was ragged and breathless as he whispered, "Y'feel so fuckin' good. Don't stop ridin' me."
He groaned as he felt you move faster, his cock sliding in and out of you easier. You slowed your pace as you grinned, wanting to torture him a little bit. You bit your lip as he looked at you. That desperate look was gone from Carmy's eyes though. Suddenly, he wrapped his arms around your waist and shot up, picking you up and stumbling over to the kitchen counter. He sat you on the countertop, his cock still inside you. He pulled your hips down until you were hanging off the edge, just perfectly so he could fuck you.
You felt your heart pounding in your chest with the sudden power swap. Carmy stared into your eyes as he thrust once, his cock going all the way inside you before sliding out.... and then he did it again. He started fucking you on his countertop. You moaned with each thrust, being completely filled up each time. Carmy was out of breath, but he whispered, "Feels so good, yea?" You nodded your head and exhaled, "Yes.... yes..." Carmy's tattooed hand grabbed your chin roughly which made your eyes shoot open. He was still fucking you at a decent pace, but he held your face still. His eyes wandered to your lips as he softly exhaled "Yes what?"
Fuck, he was so sexy like this. "Yes, Chef." You whined, throwing your head back as he picked up the pace. He loved your compliance, the way you whined your responses. His breath hitched as he felt you wrap your legs around him, pulling him in closer. He grabbed your hips, pulling you even closer to the edge of the countertop, begging the space between you two to dissolve. "Fuck." He grunted.
You felt a heat rising in your lower belly. You knew once you felt this, you weren't going to last much longer. "Carm, I'm... I'm gonna cum..." You mewled as he grunted as a response. His thrusts were irregular and needy, you knew he was close to his orgasm as well. You clawed at his neck, begging for a kiss. He leaned forward and your tongues met in an incredibly sloppy kiss. Carmy's breath was hitching and shaking as he got closer, which made you focus on yours.
You felt the wave building up, the heat growing in your belly, and you snapped your eyes open to watch Carmy start to come undone. "Oh, fuck!" He grunted as he let his orgasm loose. This caused you to teeter over the edge and plunge into the depth of your orgasm as well.
Your brain felt fuzzy. The sound of the both of you breathing heavy was filling the air. Carmy was still inside you, almost holding you in a hug as he caught his breath. He placed kisses against your neck as he took deep breaths through his nose. "Ssshit, that was good." He hissed, taking a step back and allowing his now limp cock to slide out of you. You giggled at the sight of him, all disheveled and exhausted. His eyes were wide and sunken as he rubbed his face, droplets of sweat falling from his brow.
He reached for a dish towel and wiped himself off before gingerly cleaning you up. You sat on the countertop, allowing him to wipe you clean. He took a step back and you hopped down from the counter. He grinned and looked down at the floor and started softly laughing. "What!" You gasped as you started giggling yourself. "Nothin', that was just... really fuckin' good." You loved the way he looked when he laughed, his wrinkles by his eyes and the slight crinkle of his nose.
Tumblr media
You giggled as he brought you a blanket to cover yourself with. "Well, fuck, I didn't know if we would go all the way tonight or just dip our toes in..." He said, still chuckling as his hair fell over his forehead. "Me either." You agreed. Carmy reached his hand out and helped you walk over to his bedroom. Again, a pathetic room with no decorations, just a plain bed against a plain wall. "Sleep with me tonight? I'll set an alarm bright and early so uh, you can get home before we gotta work...and maybe we can do this every Tuesday, if y'want." His hands raked through his curls again as he blushed softly. God, he was so cute. "Sure. Yes." You smiled. Carmy's eyes shifted as he got serious again. "Yes what?"
You rolled your eyes and laid down on his bed. "Yes, CHEF." You laughed. He snickered as he laid down beside you, reaching his arm over to cuddle you. "Ok, good..." He confirmed. "Tuesdays."
Emergency Contact (Rooster x Reader)
Part of The What If Collection of blurbs for Roo and Baby Girl. My masterlist. Banner by @mak-32
Warnings: injuries while deployed, stitches, bandages, angst (deals with the events from Deployment Diaries Parts 18 and 19)
Tumblr media
When Bradley asked you to be his emergency contact, you were overjoyed. This meant he was serious serious. He must have told his mom at some point that he was going to switch it, and she must have agreed that it was a good idea. You'd call Carole and Goose if anything happened. Of course you would.
But that had always been a far off scenario in your mind. Something that was never actually likely to happen. You'd never expected the day to arrive where you had to be the one answering the horrific phone call.
"This is Admiral Priscilla Franklin. I have you listed as the emergency contact for Lieutenant Bradley Bradshaw."
"Oh," you gasped. Your hand came up to your forehead as you slowly sank down to sit on the kitchen floor in your yoga pants and sports bra.
"I'm afraid there's been an accident."
You felt yourself on the verge of hyperventilating. You were listening to Admiral Franklin, but her words weren't making sense. You'd barely been able to confirm your full name for her.
"Lieutenant Bradshaw was involved in a mission related incident. I can't provide you with much more information than that."
Your eyes were filled with tears as you choked out the words, "Is he okay?"
There was such a long pause. Part of you wished that Bradley had kept Carole as his emergency contact, because now you were going to have to be the one to soften the blow about an injury to her instead of the other way around.
Unless it was worse than that. Admiral Franklin wasn't saying anything. What if it was worse than an injury? You were laying flat on the floor, your tongue too heavy and awkward in your mouth as you gagged.
But you needed to know right now. "Is he okay?" you demanded louder, sucking air into your burning lungs."He's stable at the moment. We are waiting for him to regain consciousness. He has broken ribs, lacerations and most likely a grade three concussion."
He was alive.
As you got some scant details about what happened, you started sobbing. When you ended the call, you collected Tramp in your arms, and he licked your face all over. Someone would be contacting you the following day about collecting Bradley from the San Diego International Airport like he was a piece of lost luggage.
You didn't want to call his parents. It was so late in Virginia, you would most certainly be waking them up. But when you looked at your lock screen, it was a photo of you and Bradley with Goose and Carole when you'd been in Virginia for Thanksgiving last year, and you just cried harder until you could barely see through the tears.
Once you managed to prop yourself up against the cabinets, you wiped your nose all over Bradley's soft UVA shirt and forced your fingers to work. Unlock the phone. Go to your contacts. Locate the Bradshaws' home number. Tap it. Your hand was still shaking when you heard Carole's voice loud and sharp after just two rings.
"Sweet Girl. Tell me what's wrong."
Your body was shaking with wretched sobs as you tried to get the words out. "He was in an accident. A bad ejection. He's unconscious but still alive."
You'd never seen Carole upset before. She always seemed to know what to do. And even now, while her voice shook slightly as she woke her husband up, she sounded so strong.
You heard Goose's groggy voice, and you relayed all of the information you had.
"We'll be out tomorrow," Carole said immediately.
"No," you replied softly. "I think you should wait until I know when he's coming home. Just in case he doesn't even come back to San Diego. The Admiral mentioned seeing a specialist."
There was a long pause on the other end of the call as you wiped your eyes on the sleeve of your boyfriend's shirt. "You'll keep us updated?" Goose asked. "And you'll tell us if you change your mind and want us to come out now so you're not alone?"
"Of course," you adamantly insisted. "I'll call as soon as I hear anything at all."
Then Carole's voice was back, and it was as reassuring as talking to your own mother. "The instant you tell us to get to San Diego or anywhere else, we'll be on our way. So you just give us the word, and we're coming, Sweet Girl."
----------------------------
You were barely given any notice at all. Six hours from now, you needed to pick Bradley up from the airport. Apparently he could walk on his own, which was the best news you could imagine hearing. You called Carole and gave her the update, and she purchased tickets for the first flight out the following morning while she was on the phone with you.
But nothing prepared you for the mess you found when you finally laid eyes on him. "Oh, Roo. Oh, Bradley." You covered your mouth with your hands. He truly looked terrible. His face was swollen and bruised, and you could see stitches peeking out all over the place. His left arm was bandaged and resting in a sling. But he was smiling down at you as you wiped tears from your eyes, and he ran his right hand along your hair.
"Can I touch you?" you asked softly, and Bradley slipped his right hand around your waist, slowly pulling you closer until your body was gently touching his.
"Please touch me, Sweetheart. It's the only thing that will make me feel better."
You laughed through your tears as you let one hand rest gently on his chest. "You scared me," you whispered, throat tight with emotion. "Like a whole lot, Roo." You let your other hand trail up over his neck and swollen cheeks, avoiding the clusters of stitches when you could.
"I'm sorry, Sweetheart," he whispered back, kissing the tears on your cheeks.
It wasn't an easy task, but you got him home and cleaned up and into bed. He was having a hard time breathing, and the ninety-eight stitches on his left arm were almost enough to turn your stomach. His handsome face was creased with pain, even after you helped him take his medication. But every time he whispered your name or laced his fingers gently with yours, you couldn't help but smile.
Very carefully, you climbed in bed next to him and pushed his hair back from his forehead before you kissed him. "Your parents will be out tomorrow. They can't wait to see you."
"Thanks for taking care of everything and letting them know what happened," he murmured, the pain medication finally kicking in and helping his big body relax. "You're the best. I love you." He was thankfully asleep before you could even return the sentiment.
The next morning, he only woke long enough for you to change his bandages and give him a million kisses and feed him some toast in bed. You felt wrung out and overly emotional and exhausted by the time you heard Tramp run for the front door. It must be Goose and Carole since you told them to just let themselves inside when they arrived. But when you looked down at the old sweats and Bradley's undershirt you had been wearing, you felt your cheeks grow warm.
You looked like a mess. Your bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were a mess. They were about to see how bad their son looked as he napped in bed, and on top of everything else, you looked terrible too right now.
But before you could even fully register your embarrassment, Carole's petite form was standing in your bedroom doorway with Goose behind her, Tramp jumping up to try to get his attention.
"Oh, Sweet Girl," she sighed, glancing at Bradley and then looking back at you. "You wonderful, sweet thing." She had tears in her eyes as she approached you. "Look how well he's doing. Oh, Goose, look how she's taking care of him."
You let Carole collect you in a hug, and you sagged against her, too tired to try to explain to her that you were tired and out of your element. Instead you just let her hold you as Goose kissed the top of your head and made his way to sit in the dining room chair that you'd carried in and set right next to Bradley's side of your bed.
"Let Goose sit with him until he wakes up and needs you, okay?" she whispered. "And then the four of us can talk together."
"Okay," you agreed softly. Because while it was a privilege to be Bradley's emergency contact, it felt nice to not have to take care of everything alone now.
Carole led you into the hallway. "Let's get you fed, and then I'll help you get yourself in the bath. And later on, Goose can walk Tramp while I make dinner. And then you can focus on Bradley like I know you want to, and he can focus on you. And we'll be here to take care of everything else."
"That sounds good."
(If you're not accepting requests, I apologize) I NEED you to write a part 2 of "happy wife happy life" where years pass and Clarisse proposes to Reader fr 😭😭
Happy Wife Happy Life (part two)
Tumblr media
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
pairing: Clarisse La Rue x fem reader
summary: many years after your childhood best friend became your girlfriend and a few after you moved with her to Arizona for college, she seems to becoming more distant. Your determined to find out why.
a/n: this is literally such a cute idea first of all. thank you so much for requesting!! i hope it lives up to the expectations and I'm so glad you like the first one anon!! <3333
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Alone can mean a lot of things.
It can mean being by yourself, no one else in the room, or lonely, as in feeling like you're all by yourself in a world full of people.
The thing about you and Clarisse, is she never lets you feel alone.
Obviously, if you need space, she’ll give it. But she always makes sure you’re not lonely.
Until now that is.
About five years ago, you and your girlfriend left the safe place called Camp Half Blood to go to college together in Arizona, and it was soon after that you had an apartment together. You guys didn’t have a lot of money, and you didn’t have the nicest things, but you had each other. That was enough.
At least, you thought it was.
Recently, Clarisse has been distant. You blamed it on her job at first-she loves being a construction worker, but it’s tiring. When she started taking hours to come home after the time she was supposed to be off, you blamed it on how much she loves going to the gym or out for runs and probably loses track of times like she used to when she would do sword training when you guys were younger. After that, you blamed it on her being stressed from work, and Clarisse sometimes likes to go have a drink with her coworkers after work. But the thing about it was, she never came home sweaty. That ruled out the gym. She also never came home drunk or even smelling of alcohol, so the thought of her going to the bar after work was also out of the picture.
Which is why you find yourself here, curled up onto the couch as your eyes stay glued to the digital clock on the shelf near the tv- Clarisse has never been able to read a normal clock- as the seconds, minutes, and hours pass by. Your girlfriend got off work five hours ago, which makes it now exactly 10:30 pm. It may not seem too late, and you're quite scared that staying up to wait for Clarisse after making her dinner that now rests in tupperware in the fridge as it got cold while you were waiting for her at the table will make you seem paranoid. You push it to the back of your mind though. Clarisse, the girl who punches anyone who looks at her wrong, has always told you that communication is clear in your relationship. It’s the main reason that you have decided to confront her about her distance. Why isn’t she just communicating?
Your eyes finally peel away from the clock when you hear a key quietly slotting into the front door before it slowly creeks open. She’s always been sure to be quiet when coming home late, and whether it’s because she doesn’t want to wake you up from a peaceful slumber or so she doesn’t have to talk to you, you just don’t know.
“Hey.” You mumble, but it’s silent enough in the room that she hears you and freezes in the entryway. It’s a small apartment as you guys didn’t have a lot of money during college, so you can see her standing in front of the door, slowly taking off her shoes as she avoids looking at you.
“Hey angel. What are you doing up? Don’t you have work tomorrow?” One of the first things she said to you in weeks, and she doesn’t even seem excited to be around you.
With a sigh, you reveal, “I took the day off tomorrow. We need to talk.” If possible, the girl seems to tense even more. “What’s wrong?” She questions, sitting on the opposite end of the couch you're on with her sock covered feet under her legs. A month ago, she would’ve been laying on you, cuddled up so close to you that one would think she actually wants to merge into your skin. Not now though. Now, it seems like she can’t get far enough from you.
“I don’t know.” You start. “You tell me what’s wrong.” Clarisse seems taken aback, but she doesn’t say anything as she stares at the worn out pillow on your lap. “N-Nothing’s wrong. I’m fine.”
You scoff quietly, picking at the skin around your finger nails. Clarisse hates when you do that. She says she doesn’t want you to cause any pain to yourself. She doesn’t make a move to stop you now. “Okay then. Maybe nothings wrong with you, but is there something wrong with us?”
She seems to take notice of the desperation in your tone as her fingers twitch before they hesitantly reach over to hold your hand. "I....nothings wrong with us. Promise."
You sigh heavily, looking up to the ceiling to stop the forming tears from falling. "Then tell me why you're so distant Clarisse. Please." You're practically begging at this point, and her frown only deepens.
"I'm sorry." Her voice is small, a stark contrast to her usual booming tone. "I can't tell you. Not yet at least. But I promise. I will."
You sit in silence for a minute, eyes not meeting before you stand up from the couch and start making your way to the hallway that leads to your guys bedroom. "Stop promising things Clar." You mutter, lingering for a second before you turn off the lights and leave.
That night, you barely slept. Clarisse doesn't come to bed, probably asleep on the couch the way she always does when she thinks she's bothering you. This can't be the end of your relationship. She's been yours since you guys were kids. And you were hers. What changed?
The next morning, you're awakened by the sound of a loud beeping coming from what sounds like every place in the apartment. Your head hurts from crying last night as you stand up, and you make sure to wipe the dried tears off your face before you make your way out of the bedroom in sweats and one of your girlfriends shirts.
There is a calm but warm breeze coming in from the open balcony doors, but that thought is put on a back burner when you walk into the kitchen to see Clarisse sprinting to the sink with a smoking pan i. hand. She's muttering Greek curse words under her breath as she puts water on what looks like burnt eggs. Once that is calmed down, she opens the oven to reveal a cloud of heat and very crispy biscuits. You can't help but let out a silent laugh at the sight of her angrily swatting a hand towel at the smoke alarm to make it stop beeping.
"What's going on here?" You question, and she quickly tries to get you out of the room of chaos. "Hey honey. Did I wake you?" Clarisse rushes out as she leads you to sit down on the couch. "I'm making you breakfast."
You giggle, the sound causing a small smile to grace your girlfriend's face. "It seems like it's going well."
She nods, sighing as she places a chaste kiss on your head before rushing back to the kitchen to throw out her soaked scrambled eggs. For a second, it feels like the past month never happened. The warmth from the kitchen and open doors can't compare to the warmth in your chest as you watch your girlfriend be the person you know and love for the first time in way too long.
She comes back a few minutes later, pancake mix on her cheek as she takes off your apron and sits down next to you on the couch. Unlike last night, she sits as close as possible without actually touching you- probably afraid you’ll reject her touch. “I’m sorry.” She speaks, nervously rubbing her hands together. “I’m really sorry.”
The daughter of Ares slowly leans in a bit, resting her head on your shoulder when you don’t move away.
“If you’re really sorry, talk to me. Tell me what's happening.” You whisper, and she hears it as she takes a deep breath before nodding and standing up. You stare at her questioningly for a moment as she holds her hand out so she can help you up. Nonetheless, you take it, letting her warm hand hold yours as she leads you somewhere.
The balcony.
You didn’t notice it at first glance as you were busy laughing at Clarisse’s terrible cooking attempt, but it's decorated. Usually, two chairs and a small little table would be on it, but those are now gone, probably somewhere in the house. They’re replaced by a slightly bigger table, clearly the foldable one you guys use when your friends come to visit and they need more room at the three person table in your living room; but she’s put a thin gray table cloth on it that's being held down by a pot of flowers and two glasses of orange juice.
With the background of the far away mountains and plants outside, the place looks beautiful.
“Clar….”
“So? What do you think?” It’s complete deja vu to the day she became your girlfriend. The way she nervously shifts from foot to foot as she scans your face for any sign that you hate it.
“I…I love it.” You mutter, turning to her with a grin. Whether it's an apology for the way she's treated you for the past month or something else, you can’t deny that this is a dream.
She lets out a breath of relief, nodding as she runs back inside to grab two plates before coming back and setting them down. “Why though?” You ask, and she sighs.
“Because I’ve been a bad girlfriend. And all though it’s no excuse, and I should’ve at least told you why.” You nod with a small smile.
The curly haired girl takes a big deep breath, clearly nervous, before she pulls out a dark red ring box and kneels down on one knee in front of you. “The reason I’ve been gone so often, is because I’ve been out trying to find a ring that’s almost as perfect as you. I made Chiron and my brother help, and I’m sure they’re happy I’m finally done looking. It took forever, because I didn’t think any ring out there was worthy of you. But…then I talked to my dad.”
It’s clear she’s struggling to tell this part, so you force down your excitement to comfort her by caressing her cheek. She leans into your touch, taking a moment before she continues. “He said he’s proud. That he’s happy for me and that I found a good one.” You smile. She’s never had the best relationship with Ares, but it’s clear she’s okay with that now. “Then he gave me this ring.” She opens the box, revealing a beautiful, shiny ring with a silver band and red gem. “He told me he saw it in a store once, loved it, but had no one to give it too. Said he’d be honored if I could use it.”
“So, I hope you love the ring as much as I think you will.” She chuckles, hands slightly shaking as she holds up the ring. “Angel, I know we've had our ups and downs in the past, but I want you to know that I love you with all my heart. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you when we were kids, and I still want to. I know that we have grown and changed in many ways, but I still believe in our love the way I did when I was twelve. Will you do me the honor of being my wife? For real this time."
Finally, a sob escapes your throat, and she’d be scared you’re gonna say no if not for the big grin on your face. “Of course I will! Gods! Yes. I will marry you!” She nods, one of the largest smiles you’ve ever seen growing on her face as she slips the ring onto your left ring finger, the same way she did when you guys were kids. The girl stands up, casually picking you up for a hug like you weigh nothing.
“My wife.” She mumbles into your neck, leaning back to give you a kiss though it's hard with the way you both can’t stop smiling. “You’re finally going to be my real wife.”
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
After many shed tears and gentle kisses, you’re sitting down at the decorated table on your balcony, waiting for your fiance to bring you your breakfast she made.
She comes back with a pan that smells absolutely disgusting, scooping up what is in it before plopping it onto your plate. It’s dark brown mush, and you stare at it for a few seconds before looking up at her with an amused smile. The girl seems to already know what you’re going to say, because she sighs and grabs her phone from her jeans pockets as you giggle. “I’ll order from that café down the road.”
Happy wife, happy life.
cw: baby, cisfem reader who recently gave birth
He has your eyes, you think. It's hard to tell. The baby is still in its squished phase, curled in on himself and grasping at whatever comes close. Closer to grub than human, you think. His cheeks are still ruddy from crying, but his glassy eyes have finally started to close and he sinks into sleep in your arms. With all of the care you can muster, you take the baby and ease him into the crib, praying that he doesn't wake again.
When he stays silent, you ease back away from the crib and back carefully out of the door. You close the door carefully and sigh as you relish the first moment alone you've had all day-- and then you burst into tears yourself.
"What's wrong?"
Ushijima stands at the top of the stairs, shedding his jacket where he stands. You're almost embarrassed for him to see you like this, disheveled and frankly dirty, your maternity bra undone. He's been your husband for years now, he's seen worse, but this feels worse. His brow is knotted with worry, eyes stone strong as ever as he watches you sniffle. When he steps in, arms outstretched, you step aside, giving way for him to see his baby. Instead, your husband comes to you. Wide hands cup your shoulders, thumbs rubbing up and down a bit too roughly to be comforting.
"Are you alright?"
You nod, lip quivering as you bite back your tears. He inspects you closely, brow raised.
"Are you lying?"
You nod again before bursting into sobs again. It's an ugly cry, all snot and coughs, but your husband doesn't pull away. Instead, he tugs you closer, tight into his chest.
"Tell me." Wakatoshi urges as gently as he can. At first, all you can be is blubber, every exhausted emotion coming to the surface at once. You're tired, you're thirsty, you're seventy other emotions that you can't pin down, but the one that comes out of your mouth first is:
"I'm a bad mom."
"Don't say that," he's quick to say.
"I am." His shirt is wet with tears, but you can't stop. "I'm so tired and thirsty and my boob really hurts and I'm not making enough milk- and, and--"
"I was supposed to love him, Toshi, and I just don't."
Ushijima chuckles, softly enough that you can't hear it, but you can feel how his chest shakes.
"It's not funny!"
"You do love him."
Of course you do. You wanted him more than anything in the world. Years of patience and love brought you this baby, and you wouldn't trade that for the world-
But it's just not what you had expected.
"Not the way I'm supposed to!" You pull back just enough to meet his eye. His brown hair is still mussed with sweat from his game. "It was supposed to be instant and special and perfect, but--"
You swallow down your rising panic and glance back at the door.
"I'm not connecting with him," you admit. You love your son, but he's just a baby. All he does is sleep, eat, and cry. There's no special spark about him, nothing that would make you lift a car or die in his honor. It's hard to feel anything when you're so exhausted.
"I think I'm broken."
Ushijima processes this for a long while, the rub of his thumbs much slower now.
"It's not the same," he says quietly. "But, I've never easily connected with anyone, not even you."
It's true. Ushijima is a good man, but he struggles socially to this day. He turns down outings that he isn't interested in, misses social ques and norms, and can be rude without meaning to.
And yet, people still manage to grow warm to him. Hell, you fell in love with the man after months of despising him.
"That does make me feel better."
"Give it time." He pats your back. "I'll take you to the doctor tomorrow."
"I don't need a doctor, I just need time."
He reaches down and grazss over the bare skin if your tit; you had forgotten it was out. "Your breast is hot to the touch. I can feel it through my shirt."
You pull back and feel for yourself. It is uncomfortably warm; you'd been so distressed that you hadn't noticed. That explains the pain.
"We can't. The baby's too little to bring to the doctor's-- there's too many germs, he'll get sick."
"Tendou will babysit," he replies, like it's simple.
"He lives hours away."
Ushijima's already pulling out his phone. "He will come. Go rest and eat- I'll handle everything tonight."
Coming from him, everything sounds so easy. You're frazzled over the fact you reached such a boiling point; does anyone else struggle like this? Or is it just you?
"Are you sure I'm not a bad mom?" You ask again.
He looks back at you and nods, a smile tight on his lips. "Of course I am."
You believe him.
wc: 4.3k
You woke up to the faint sound of your phone buzzing on the nightstand. You blinked a few times, disoriented, the soft morning light filtering through the curtains. You reached over, fumbling for your phone, only to see a missed call from a number you hadn’t seen in a while—your parents’.
Your stomach tightened as you stared at the screen. Your relationship with them had always been… strained. It wasn’t that they didn’t care about you, it was more like that they cared too much—about the wrong things. Career, success, image. They had always tried to mold you into their version of what you should be, and it had taken years for you to carve out your own path.
But now, seeing their numbers, an uneasy feeling settled in the pit of your stomach. It wasn’t the usual holiday check-in. There was something more to it, and you knew it.
You sighed, rubbing your eyes as you got out of bed, careful not to wake Victoria, who was still asleep beside you. The phone buzzed again—this time, a text from your mother.
“Dinner tomorrow night. It’s been too long. Dad wants to talk to you.”
You stared at the message for a moment longer before setting your phone down on the dresser. The last thing you needed was a family dinner where your father would likely push your agenda. Your mind was already crowded with work, the firm, and your complicated feelings for Victoria. Adding your family’s expectations on top of that felt suffocating.
Later that morning, you sat at the kitchen table, absentmindedly stirring your coffee, staring into the mug as if it held the answers to your growing stress. Victoria was busy in the kitchen, preparing breakfast, humming softly to herself. She glanced over at you, noticing the distant look in your eyes.
"What's going on with you this morning?" She asked, her voice laced with concern as she set a plate of steaming breakfast down in front of you.
Her eyes searched your face, noting the furrowed brow and the distant look that had been haunting your features lately. "Actually," she continued, leaning against the counter and crossing her arms, "what's been going on with you this entire week? You've seemed... off. Distracted.”
“It’s nothing. Just a lot on my mind.” You shook your head, trying to brush it off.
She narrowed her eyes at you, her gaze penetrating through your facade clearly not buying into your dismissive response. With a slight sigh, she pulled out the chair across from you and settled into it, her posture relaxing slightly as she leaned forward, elbows resting on the table.
Her expression softened, a mix of worry and affection playing across her features. "Oh, come on now. I'm calling bullshit on that," she said, her tone a blend of exasperation and warmth.
"I've known you long enough to tell that something’s up. So why don't you do us both a favor and spill it? What's really going on in that head of yours?"
You smiled, taking a sip of your coffee. She somehow always managed to read you like an open book. Even when you tried so hard to keep those pages closed, there was something about her that always made you want to be honest. You hesitated for a moment, then sighed, setting the cup onto the counter and running a hand through your hair.
"Okay, fine," you replied. "It's my parents. My dad... He wants me to come over for dinner tomorrow night. And I just know it's not going to be a regular 'catch-up' dinner. He probably has some legal issue he wants me to fix, or he's going to lecture me about my career."
She raised an eyebrow, leaning back in her chair.“Sounds like you’re already dreading it.”
“You have no idea. They’ve always pushed me into things. Law school wasn’t even my first choice, but I didn’t have a say in it. And now… they just keep pulling me back.”
She watched you for a moment, then her gaze drifted downward a playful grin tugging at the corner of her mouth. “Why don’t I come with you? It might be… interesting to finally meet the people behind the lawyer.”
You looked at her, surprised. Your first instinct was to say no—to keep your worlds separate. Your family was the last thing you wanted Victoria to be exposed to. But as you saw the sincerity in her eyes, you found yourself slightly considering it.
“You really want to meet them?”
“If they’re such a big part of your life—even in this annoying way—maybe it’s time I see what you’re up against.”
Hesitated, your mind raced with conflicting thoughts. On one hand, you really didn’t want to subject her to your father’s expectations. But on the other, there was something comforting about the idea of having her there with you.
“Alright… but don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
"I can handle difficult," Victoria assured you, a playful gleam in her eyes. "Besides, maybe it’s time for them to meet the woman who’s making you late to the office every morning.” She grinned.
"Oh, no," you groaned, shaking your head dramatically. A laugh bubbled up as she reached over the counter to smother your face in kisses. "Alright, I'm off to get ready," she called out, before disappearing into her room.
The next evening, you approached your parent's house. It was large, traditional place in the suburbs. Immaculate and cold, just like them. You stood outside, the silence heavy, as you rang the doorbell. Victoria, beside you, held a bottle of wine. She noticed your nerves, tugging at your coat, she snapped you back to reality. "Hey, you alright?"
You turned to her, letting out a small sigh, "Yeah, I'm fine."
She nodded, skeptical. "Relax. I’m sure It'll be fine."
Soon the door opened to reveal your mother, a warm smile on her face, welcoming you in. As soon as you stepped inside, you felt the familiar pressure of expectations dropping down on you like heavy bricks.
“Oh it’s so good to see you.” Your mother spoke, gesturing for you to follow her inside.
Your father, appeared a polite smile on his face, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. He barely offered a greeting, as he turned and glanced at Victoria, his brow furrowing slightly, as if her presence was unexpected or unwelcomed.
"And you must be..." He trailed off, his voice carrying a hint of curiosity and skepticism.
Victoria, undeterred by the cool reception, confidently extended her hand. Her voice was warm and steady as she introduced herself, "Victoria. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." She maintained eye contact, her smile unwavering despite the palpable tension in the air.
Your father hesitated for a brief moment before reluctantly accepting the handshake. His grip was firm but perfunctory, his response equally measured. "Ah, yes. Victoria. The pleasure is... ours."
He released her hand quickly, his gaze flickering between you and her, silently demanding an explanation for this unexpected development in what he had likely envisioned as a private family dinner.
He cleared his throat before finally speaking, “Uh, come on food’s ready.”
You glanced at Victoria, she remained composed, her posture graceful, but you could sense the tension building already.
The dinner started out civil enough—polite small talk about work, the firm, and your “impressive” career. Your mother fawned over how long it had been since they’d last seen you, while your father was more reserved, sitting quietly at the head of the table.
But you knew better. Your father was waiting for the right moment, biding his time until the inevitable discussion of business would come up. And sure enough, halfway through dinner, it did.
“We’ve been meaning to talk to you about something. There’s a situation at the company that requires legal attention. It’s… delicate, but I’m sure you can handle it.”
Your fork froze mid-air, your jaw tightening. You set the fork down slowly, glancing at Victoria, who gave you a supportive nod.
“Dad, I already have a full plate at the firm. I can’t take on another case.”
“This isn’t just any case. It’s family business. You need to step up.”
You took a deep breath the room felt stifling. The silence stretched in the air, this was exactly what you had been dreading. “I left the family business for a reason. I have my own career now.” You finally spoke.
Your father’s expression hardened, clearly displeased with your resistance. “You wouldn’t have that career without us. We gave you everything. The least you could do is help when we need it.” he slammed his hand against the table, his voice slightly raising.
The tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a knife. Victoria shifted in her seat, sensing the growing unease. “I think she has done more than enough for herself and your family. She’s worked hard to get where she is, and maybe it’s time to respect that.”
There was a beat of silence as your father turned his attention to Victoria, his eyes narrowing slightly surprised by her interjection. “And you are?”
“Someone who’s seen the woman your daughter has become. And it’s impressive, with or without the help of family.” Her tone was firm but respectful, her words cutting through the tension in the air.
You felt a surge of both gratitude and discomfort toward her for stepping in, but at the same time, you could sense your father’s rising irritation. And you didn’t want Victoria defending you—it only made you feel smaller under your father’s critical gaze.
When the meal finally ended, and your mother started clearing the dishes, you stood up abruptly, the need to escape overwhelming you.
“I think we should go.”
Victoria stood as well, her hand gently brushing your arm as if to say, I’m here.
The car ride back to your apartment was quiet. Victoria didn’t push you to talk, but her presence alone was enough to soothe some of the tension.
When you finally got back home to your apartment, you let out a long, frustrated sigh as you slid into the bath’s water, your head in your hands.
"I told you it would be a disaster," you said, shaking your head in frustration. A weary sigh escaped your lips as you sank deeper into the warm water.
Victoria sat across from you, her hair thrown up in a messy bun, knees hugged to her chest. Her eyes, filled with warmth and understanding, never left your face. A soft, reassuring smile played on her lips as she watched you process the evening's events.
"You don't have to carry all of that on your own, you know," she spoke, her voice gentle and soothing in the quiet bathroom. "Plus," she added, with a hint of playfulness in her tone, "It wasn't that bad. I mean, no one stormed out dramatically, the food was actually pretty good, and your mom was sweet."
You let out another sigh resting your head back, “They barely even asked about you. It’s always about business with them. It never changes.”
You rubbed your face, clearly overwhelmed. Victoria’s extended an arm placing a hand on yours. “Look, you don’t have to let them control you anymore. You’ve already proven yourself.”
You paused for a moment gaze returning to the ceiling, “I just… I didn’t want you to see that side of my life.”
“Well, I’m part of your life now. That means the good and the bad.”
You smiled, a small, tired smile, as she leaned forward pulling you closer to her. “I’m glad you came.” you spoke softly, as you inhaled a deep breath.
You rested your head on her chest, and you sat like that for a while listening to her rhythmic steady heartbeat, the sound comforting after the storm of emotions at dinner.
“You handled it better than I would have.” she spoke her tone light.
“Yeah, right.” You looked up at her, seeing the playful glint in her eyes.
“No, seriously. If my father talked to me like that, I probably would’ve thrown the soup at him.”
You laughed, the sound lightening the mood. “Tempting. But I don’t think that would’ve gone over too well.”
“Maybe not. But I’d pay to see the look on his face.”
You felt the weight on your chest lift slightly. Maybe things with your family would always be difficult, but with her by your side, it felt a little easier to bear.
You couldn't help but smile, glancing up at her. "Can't say I disagree on that one." Before you knew it, she leaned in, pressing her lips tenderly against yours, her thumb reached down to gently brush your cheek.
Her presence, her calmness grounded you. For a moment, you forgot about everything else—you simply wanted to embrace the warmth of her touch against your skin and the feeling of her in your arms.
Pulling away, you met her gaze, studying her as she prepared to speak. Her smile faltered, and a hint of worry clouded her expression. "I've been meaning to talk to you about something…." Her voice was soft, her arm still wrapped around your neck.
"What?" you asked, your eyes searching her face for answers. However, the ringing of her phone on the sink interrupted her. You groaned, throwing your head back in exasperation. "We can’t even have a moment of peace now can we?”
The persistent ringing forced her to pick up. Wrapping a towel around her body, she sighed and made her way across the cold tiles. As she took the call, you sank into the bathtub, mind raced, trying to figure out what she wanted to discuss. Her expression telling you that there was something troubling her.
A few weeks passed by and you had just received news of the junior partner promotion—one that Victoria had subtly hinted at to you, but Hughie had also been eyeing for months. From his desk, he watched as you and her exchanged a few quiet words, smiles on your faces as you celebrated the win in her office.
His knuckles white as he gripped a pen. That’s when he heard the news from a colleague, confirming his worst suspicions. You were promoted to junior partner.
He had worked hard, built a reputation for himself, but somehow you seemed to be reaping the rewards. His resentment simmered, especially after noticing the subtle shift between you and Victoria—something unsaid, but clear in the way you looked at each other.
His jaw clenched as he stormed out of his office, ignoring the congratulations that floated around the firm for you. In his mind, Hughie had earned that spot. He’d been gunning for that position for ages and worked tirelessly, took the dirtiest cases, and still, somehow, you seemed to get everything handed to you.
The mood in Victoria’s office was much more cheerful than Hughie’s stewing outside. You still couldn’t quite believe it—you were now a junior partner. Victoria had poured you drinks to celebrate, her tone a mix of pride and subtle mentorship.
“I told you this would happen if you kept playing your cards right.”
You nodded, half-smiling. “Yeah, but I didn’t expect it so soon.”
“Get used to it. You’re not the wide-eyed associate anymore. This is the big leagues now.” She teased, as she took a sip of her drink.
You slowly took a sip of your own, but something felt wrong. This promotion had come with strings—you could already feel it. The case you’d just won had involved some ethically questionable tactics, and Victoria had been all too comfortable with bending the rules to secure a victory.
“I’ve got to admit, some of the things we’ve been doing… they don’t sit right with me.”
Victoria’s gaze sharpened. This was a conversation you had before, but now it seemed more important than ever.
“You’re a junior partner now. You can’t keep questioning every decision. You have to understand how things work at this level. Sometimes, you bend the rules for the greater good. It’s how the game is played.”
She leaned in watching you closely, sensing the hesitation. “Look, you have a bright future here. But if you want to keep climbing, you need to stop second-guessing every decision. Trust me, this is how the top players win.”
Her words hung in the air, and you stared at her, conflicted. This was what you had worked for. The position, the power, the recognition. But at what cost? You knew the risks and you didn’t want to lose yourself, didn’t want to become a lawyer who would turn a blind eye to questionable decisions.
“Come on cheer up, you’ve earned it. I wouldn’t have recommended you if I didn’t think you were ready for it.”
"Thanks," you said quietly, lifting your glass in the air for a silent toast. It felt heavy in your hand, weighed down not just by the liquid inside but by the implications of your new position. As you raised it, you couldn't help but feel a mix of pride and unease. Finally, you took a small sip, the taste bittersweet on your tongue – much like the victory you were supposed to be celebrating for god’s sake.
The next morning you walked into the firm for the first time as a junior partner, feeling a slight sense of surrealism wash over you. Your new office, tucked into a quiet corner with floor-to-ceiling windows, was a far cry from the cramped cubicle you had inhabited for years.
As you entered, some of the newer associates greeted you with smiles and congratulatory nods, while others looked less thrilled, murmuring to one another as you passed.
“Congrats on the promotion! Well-deserved.” A colleague approached you.
You smiled, “Thanks, appreciate it.”
Across the room, you noticed a few others not sharing the same enthusiasm. Hughie, sitting at his desk, merely glanced up from his work, his jaw tightening ever so slightly before returning his attention to the files in front of him.
You looked away, you had no time to focus on what others thought; you were determined to prove that you deserved this position.
You walked down the corridor towards the glass-walled office with your nameplate being prepared. As you stepped inside, It wasn’t huge, but it was yours, and it felt like a major upgrade from the tiny cubicle you used to work in.
Victoria was already there, sitting on the edge of your new desk, arms crossed, with a faint smirk on her face as you took it all in.
“Enjoying the new digs?”
You laughed as you glanced around, “Well, I can say I’ll miss my old cubicle. Although I got more space in here than I did in the break room.”
“You do realize you’re moving up in the world, right? Cubicles are a thing of the past for you.”
“Oh, the cubicle… we’ve been through so much together. You were there for me during late nights, coffee spills, and countless deadlines.” you spoke, mocking a dramatic voice.
“Don’t get too sentimental. You’re a big shot now.” she chuckled.
“I’m telling you, I’ll miss the wheezing sound of my old chair whenever I sat down. This new one is far too luxurious.”
Victoria laughed again and rolled her eyes, clearly amused by your antics. “I can always swap it out for something more nostalgic if it’ll make you feel better.” she replied, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
“I’ll survive, but thanks for the offer.” You grinned, settling into the plush leather chair with a contented sigh. You gave it a playful spin, marveling at the smooth glide and the expansive view from where you sat.
You ran your fingers along the sleek edge, you couldn't help but feel a surge of pride mixed with a touch of disbelief at how far you'd come.
Victoria leaned against the doorframe, a hint of amusement playing at the corners of her mouth as she watched your childlike wonder. Her eyes softened, "You deserve this," she said, her voice carrying a note of sincerity that caught you off guard.
“All of it. The office, the title, the responsibility - you've earned every bit."
She straightened up, her professional demeanor sliding back into place as she turned to leave. "But don't get too comfortable in that fancy chair of yours," she added over her shoulder, tone a mix of warning and playfulness.
"Junior partner means you'll be busier than ever. The real work starts now." With that, she strode away, her heels clicking purposefully against the polished floor, leaving you to contemplate the weight of your new position in the suddenly quiet expanse of your office.
“Well, can't wait!" you muttered to yourself, voice dripping with mock enthusiasm. You spun the chair once more, unable to resist the temptation of its smooth glide. Adopting an exaggerated version of Victoria's authoritative tone, you playfully mimicked, "Hey you, my office now. We've got important partner business to discuss.”
As you continued your impersonation, adding a few choice phrases that would have made her raise an eyebrow, you were blissfully unaware that she was still standing nearby.
Victoria, was lingering just outside, caught the tail end of your performance. She stepped back into view, her expression a mix of amusement and mock indignation.
"That impression was horrible, by the way," she deadpanned, her lips twitching with the effort of suppressing a smile. “You might want to work on that. And for the record, I do not sound like that."
You froze mid-spin, your words dying in your throat as you locked eyes with her. A moment of stunned silence stretched between you, your mind racing to find an appropriate response. But before you could stammer out an explanation or apology, Victoria's stern facade cracked, and she let out a chuckle.
"Next time, at least get my power stance right," she added with a wink, demonstrating an exaggerated pose that had you both laughing. As she turned to leave once more, you could have sworn you heard her muttering under her breath, practicing her own impression of you.
The door closed behind her, leaving you alone in your new office, your cheeks flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and mirth. You shook your head, grinning despite yourself. It seemed that even with your new title, some things – like getting caught in awkward situations – would never change.
One evening, after a long day at the office, you stood in the bathroom preparing to brush your teeth as Victoria paced outside the hallway, engrossed in something. "Hey Vic," you called out with a smirk, "Do you miss having me as your underling yet?"
You heard her faint chuckle from the other side. "Underling? Please, you're still my underling," she retorted playfully. "Junior partner or not, you still answer to me."
You let out a laugh, shaking your head. "Yeah, well, at least I've graduated from 'glorified assistant' to 'someone who can maybe make decisions on their own.'"
“Maybe.”
There was a beat of silence before she stepped into the bathroom, walking right up behind you. Her arms wrapped around your waist as she met your gaze in the mirror, a smirk tugging at the corners of her lips.
"Enjoy the calm while it lasts," she whispered against your ear, while slipping her fingers underneath the fabric of your shirt. "Because things… will get more intense.”
You smirked, removing the toothbrush from your mouth. “Oh.. I can feel that already."
She pulled away, giving your ass a playful squeeze before turning and walking out of the bathroom without looking back. She yanked her silky top over her head, tossing it aside. "Hurry up," she called out, "Because I won't be waiting that long."
You immediately placed the toothbrush on the sink and rushed to catch up with her. Wrapping one arm around her waist, mirroring her earlier movements as your other hand reached up to cup her breast. She turned to face you, leaning in for a deep, lingering kiss.
You kissed your way to her room, as she pushed you back onto the bed, you sat on the edge, letting out a breathless laugh. Before she straddled your lap, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"You need to remember who's the real boss here," she purred, her voice low and playful.
"Oh really, is that so?" you replied, a hint of amusement in your voice.
She smirked, pushing you until your back rested against the cool mattress. She pinned both your hands above your head, her grip firm yet gentle enough to keep you from moving.
"Yes, that's so," she whispered, her lips hovering just inches from yours.
"Well, I guess we're about to find out," you retorted, with a swift movement, you freed your hands from her grip and flipped her over, she let out a soft chuckle before you captured her lips in an open-mouthed kiss. Lips moved sucking and biting marks up and down her throat and breasts, grinning proudly hearing her sharp intakes of breath, as you claimed her as yours.
bang chan x fem!reader / you and chan are about to get married, but the day before the wedding, he just disappears. there’s a note on your bed, and from that point on, everything goes downhill.
additional tags / angst, hurt-comfort, emotional turmoil, wedding jitters, cold feet, open ending, love confessions, pre-wedding drama, visuals (text messages, letter), apologies — 963 words in total.
content warnings / abandonment, lack of communication, commitment issues, panic and anxiety (subtle), facing fears (fear of the future ?), some strong language (cussing), chan’s kind of an asshole (😅)
further notes / writing angst is so much fun, seriously my fave genre ever. 😝 been all about the fluffy stuff lately, but i had to dive back into my roots and whip up some tasty pre-wedding angst. what do you think? i'm totally loving it, heheh. hope you enjoy the ride! <3
Tumblr media
The day before your wedding, you can’t help but feel a buzz of excitement and nervousness. You've waited for this moment for so long, and now it's almost here. You and Chan have been inseparable since you met, and tomorrow was supposed to be the start of your forever. But when you wake up that morning, something feels off.
You stretch out your hand, expecting to find Chan beside you, but the bed is cold. Frowning, you sit up, scanning the room for any sign of him. That’s when you see it—a note on his pillow. Your heart sinks as you reach for it, hands trembling.
Tumblr media
You stare at the words, not comprehending. Had to leave? What does that even mean? Panic starts to rise in your chest as you read the note over and over again, hoping it will magically change or offer some explanation. But it doesn’t.
You grab your phone and dial his number, but it goes straight to voicemail. “Chan, what the hell is going on? Where are you? Call me back, please,” you plead, trying to keep your voice steady.
Hours pass, and still no word from Chan. You call his friends, his family, anyone who might know where he is, but no one has seen him. Every minute feels like an eternity, and the worry is gnawing at your insides.
By afternoon, your concern turns to anger. How could he do this to you? The day before your wedding, no less. You pace the living room, clutching your phone, willing it to ring. When it finally does, you almost drop it in your haste to answer.
“Hello?”
“Y/N.” It’s Chan’s voice, but it sounds strained.
“Chan! Where are you? What’s going on?” The questions spill out before you can stop them.
“I... I’m sorry, Y/N. I just... I need some time to think.”
“Think? About what? We’re getting married tomorrow!”
There’s a long pause, and you can hear him take a deep breath. “I know. I just... I’m not sure if I’m ready.”
The words hit you like a punch to the gut. “Not ready? Are you fucking kidding me, Chan? We’ve been planning this for months! Why are you doing this now?”
“I didn’t want to hurt you,” he says quietly.
“Well, guess what? You did hurt me. A lot. And you could’ve talked to me instead of just disappearing.”
“I’m so sorry,” he repeats, but it feels hollow. “I just... I need to figure some things out.”
You hang up, tears streaming down your face. Why would he do this to you? You feel a mix of hurt and rage, your emotions swinging wildly. Part of you wants to find him and demand answers, while another part of you just wants to curl up and cry.
The rest of the day is a blur. You cancel the rehearsal dinner, making up excuses for why Chan isn’t there. Your friends and family try to comfort you, but nothing they say can ease the pain.
That night, you lie in bed, staring at the ceiling, replaying every moment you’ve shared with Chan. You wonder where it all went wrong. Was it something you did? Something you said? The uncertainty is maddening.
Tumblr media
The next morning, you wake up to a flurry of text messages. One stands out—it’s from Chan.
Tumblr media
You hesitate, fingers hovering over the screen. Part of you wants to ignore him, to make him feel the pain you’re feeling. But the other part of you needs answers.
Tumblr media
You arrive at the little park where you and Chan have shared so many memories. He’s sitting on the bench, looking more miserable than you’ve ever seen him. When he sees you, he stands up, but you hold up a hand to stop him.
“Just... explain,” you say, keeping your distance.
He takes a deep breath. “I’ve been freaking out, Y/N. The thought of forever, it just... it scared me. I started doubting everything, and I didn’t know how to tell you.”
“So you ran away instead? That’s real mature, Chan.”
“I know, I know. It was stupid. But I love you, and the idea of losing you terrified me even more.”
You can see the sincerity in his eyes, but the hurt is still too fresh. “You could’ve talked to me. We could’ve worked through it together.”
He nods, looking down. “I’m sorry. I should’ve. I was just so scared of disappointing you, of not being enough.”
You step closer, your anger softening a little. “Chan, we’re supposed to be a team. If you’re scared or unsure, you need to tell me. We face things together, remember?”
He looks up, tears in his eyes. “I remember. And I’m so sorry I forgot that. I promise, I’ll never run away again.”
You take a deep breath, the weight of the past day starting to lift. “This isn’t going to be easy, you know. We’ve got a lot to talk about, and it’s going to take time to rebuild that trust.”
“I know. And I’m willing to do whatever it takes,” he says, stepping closer.
You nod, feeling a small glimmer of hope. “Okay. Let’s start with talking.”
Tumblr media
You spend the next few hours sitting on that bench, talking about everything. The doubts, the fears, the future. It’s raw and emotional, but it’s also healing. By the end of it, you both feel a bit lighter.
When you finally stand up, Chan reaches for your hand. “So, about that wedding...”
You give him a small smile. “Let’s take it one day at a time. We’ll get there when we’re both ready.”
And for the first time since you found that note, you believe it.
One of Them Girls: Part 3
Tumblr media
Part 3! PART 1 I PART 2
The clock on the wall ticked louder than usual in the quiet of your room. You lay on your bed, scrolling through your phone, but Tyler's name wasn't lighting up the screen. You'd hoped he might send a text or give you a call, especially after he'd promised to come back to town once he was done chasing storms. As the hours ticked by, the excitement of the morning and the hopeful anticipation of seeing him again began to fade.
You sat up, glancing at the clock again. It was getting late, and the silence in the house felt heavier. Tyler's promise to return seemed to be slipping further away with each passing minute. A part of you wanted to reach out, to send a message asking if everything was okay. But you knew he was likely busy, caught up in the chaos of storm chasing. You didn't want to be a bother, especially if he was dealing with more pressing matters.
With a sigh, you decided to hold off on sending a text. If you still hadn't heard from him by tomorrow, you would reconsider. For now, you turned off your phone and tried to push away the nagging disappointment that had settled in your chest.
The next morning, you wake up to the sound of your roommate bustling around the kitchen. You stumble out of bed, the weight of last night's disappointment still heavy on your shoulders. The thought of Tyler's empty promises lingers in your mind, leaving you feeling both confused and disheartened.
Your roommate looks up from her coffee mug, concern etched across her face. "What's wrong? You seem... off."
You sigh, rubbing your temples. "I don't know. I'm just a little bummed. Tyler hasn't called or texted me since yesterday morning. I was kind of hoping he'd at least send a message."
She raises an eyebrow, a teasing grin spreading across her face. "Thought he was just a guy?"
You roll your eyes, a hint of a smile tugging at your lips. "Yeah, well, he's just a guy who said he'd come back. But maybe I was wrong. Maybe it was all in my head."
She reached over, placing her hand on top of yours. "He didn't just disappear. He's probably just busy or something. I mean every news station in the state is talking about these storms we've been having."
"I don't know. It just feels like we had a great time, and he seemed really interested. And now, it just feels like everything up in the air."
"(Your Name), from what you told me about breakfast and the farmer's market, it sounds like he was really into you. The kiss? And what he said after? That's a pretty clear sign he likes you. I'm telling you, he just got caught up in his work. Don't let a little delay get to you. He'll reach out when he can."
You took a deep breath, feeling a bit reassured by her words. "I guess you're right. I just didn't expect to feel this way."
"Oh trust me, I get it. I did not have you falling for Tyler Owens on my bingo card." She said as she went to stand up and place her empty coffee cup in the sink. "But I'm telling you, he'll call you soon."
As the hours drag on, your phone remains eerily silent. You keep glancing at it, hoping for a message, a call, anything. The doubt continues to gnaw at you, wondering if maybe there wasn't anything there with you and Tyler.
Later that night, you're sitting on the front steps, the cool evening air doing little to soothe the disappointment you've been feeling all day. The distant rumble of a truck's engine breaks the silence. You stand up, squinting to see through the dimming light. The truck comes into view, and as it pulls to a stop, you see Tyler's familiar silhouette stepping out.
As he starts to walk towards you, you notice a cut on his head, covered partly with a bandage. Then you notice a limp in his leg with each step. He's walking slower and more deliberate than normal.
"Tyler?" you whisper, your voice trembling with a mix of relief and confusion.
He smiles, a weary but genuine expression spreading across his face. "Yeah, it's me. Sorry, I'm uh, a little late for that date I promised you. Been a bit of a mess the past couple of days."
You take a step back, taking in the sight of him. "What happened?" you ask, your voice softer now, tinged with concern.
Tyler runs a hand through his hair, wincing slightly. "One of the pieces of equipment failed. My truck got picked up by the wind coming off of a tornado. It rolled a few times before hitting a tree. I'm fine though. Just a few bumps and bruises. And a few broken ribs. Bulls have done worse to me."
You nod, your eyes scanning the cut on his head, the way he winces with each step. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yeah," he assures you, but the uncertainty in his eyes tells a different story. "I'm just hoping you'll forgive me for not showing up."
You smile at him, feeling the warmth of his presence despite everything. "I forgive you," you say, genuinely. "Why don't you come in? You should sit down."
Tyler looks relieved as you lead him inside. "Thanks. A seat sounds great right about now."
You guide him to the living room, motioning for him to take a seat on the couch. "Can I get you anything? Water? Iced tea?"
"Iced tea sounds great, thanks."
You head to the kitchen, pouring a glass of iced tea while trying to steady your nerves. Tyler's presence is comforting, but the sight of him hurt tugs at your heart. You bring the glass back to him, handing it over with a smile.
He takes a sip, sighing in contentment. "This hits the spot. Thanks."
"No problem," you reply, taking a seat beside him. "So, tell me more about what happened out there."
Tyler takes another sip of his iced tea before continuing. "So, we were following the storm as usual. The clouds started to spin, and we saw the tornado forming and touching down. We stopped the truck and I went to deploy the augers. They're supposed to drill two feet into the ground to anchor us. In theory, that should keep us grounded even if the tornado gets close."
He pauses, taking a deep breath. "But the augers failed to deploy. We were caught off guard. The tornado's winds picked us up, and we spun around a few times before being thrown into a big tree. That's how I ended up with these bumps and bruises."
You listen intently, your concern deepening. "That sounds terrifying. I'm glad you're okay, though."
Tyler gives you a reassuring smile. "Yeah, it was a close call, but I'm fine. Just a bit shaken up. I'm sorry for not calling back or showing up like I said I would. I really wanted to, but everything got a bit chaotic."
Tyler shifts in his seat, wincing slightly as he continues. "So, after the accident, my crew practically dragged me to the hospital. I was trying to convince them that it was just a cut and a few bruises, but they weren't having any of it. They insisted I get checked out properly."
He chuckles softly, though the sound is a bit strained. "Once we were at the hospital, I tried to convince the doctors and nurses to just bandage up the cut and let me go. But they insisted on running a full set of X-rays and tests to make sure nothing was wrong internally. They wouldn't let me leave until they were absolutely sure I was okay."
Tyler looks at you with a hint of frustration mixed with relief. "It turned into a bit of a mess, but they finally cleared me to go. I just didn't get a chance to reach out. I really hope you're not too upset with me."
You pause, feeling the weight of the silence between you. Your thoughts race, debating whether to voice your doubts to Tyler now that you know he has a legitimate reason for not reaching out. He notices the hesitation in your expression and gently urges, "Hey, talk to me. If there's something on your mind, I want to know what it is."
You take a deep breath, feeling a mix of relief and vulnerability. "Well, since you've been gone, I've been having these doubts. I started to wonder if what we had was real or if it was just all in my head. I mean, you disappeared without a word, and I was left thinking that maybe it was all just a silly crush. Now I feel awful for feeling that way, knowing what you were going through."
Tyler's face grew serious as he leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. He reached out and took your hand in his, his grip reassuring. "I'm really sorry for not reaching out sooner," he said softly. "But everything you felt was real. I felt it too. I understand why you might doubt it, but I hope you can see that it wasn't just in your head."
He paused, his gaze locked on yours. "Do you think you could find it in you to give me one more chance? I'd really like to make it up to you and show you that what we had was real."
You took a moment to consider his request, then nodded with a smile. "Alright, I'll give you a second chance," you said softly.
You then glance at the clock on the wall realizing it's getting pretty late. "Do you have a place to stay for the night? It's getting pretty late."
Tyler shook his head slightly. "The crew got a couple of rooms at a motel, but it's over an hour away. I was just going to drive there once we finished talking. I just wanted to come see you first."
Without hesitation, you offered, "You can stay here if you'd like. There's plenty of room. You can take my bed, and I'll take the couch. You need a good place to rest "
Tyler looked at you with a grateful expression but shook his head. "No, I can't let you do that. I'll only stay if you agree to let me take the couch."
You tried to object, "But you need a good place to rest with your injuries. The couch isn't ideal."
Tyler remained resolute. "Either I take the couch or I'm making the drive. It's up to you."
You paused, considering your options. After a moment, you cautiously suggested, "What if we share the bed? It'll be a bit of a tight fit, but it will be better for your injuries."
Tyler's eyes softened as he considered your offer. "You'd be okay with that?"
You nodded, albeit a bit hesitantly. "Yeah, I think it would be fine. I just want you to be comfortable."
Tyler gave a grateful smile. "Alright then, we have a deal."
The evening passed in a comfortable, relaxed silence. You and Tyler chatted lightly, catching up on the days you'd missed. Tyler's light-hearted jokes and easy laughter made the evening feel almost normal again, despite the circumstances. Eventually, the conversation tapered off, and you both agreed it was time for bed.
You excused yourself to change, heading to the bathroom to slip into comfortable sweatpants and a soft t-shirt. When you returned to the bedroom, you found Tyler standing near the bed, looking slightly out of place. He gave a chuckle that was a mix of awkwardness and amusement.
"What's wrong?" You asked.
"I wasn't exactly planning on staying the night," he admitted with a sheepish grin. "I don't really have anything to sleep in. Is it okay if I just take my jeans off? I'd be in my boxers, though."
A blush crept up your cheeks at the thought, but you quickly assured him, "I don't mind. As long as you're comfortable."
Tyler's smile widened with relief, and he reached up to grab the collar of his shirt. With a practiced motion, he pulled it off, revealing his chest and abdomen. Your eyes couldn't help but follow the movement, your gaze lingering for a moment longer than you intended. You felt your heartbeat quicken as you nervously watched him.
Tyler caught your eye and smirked. "Like what you see?" he teased, his voice playful yet soft.
Your cheeks flushed even more as you quickly averted your gaze, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and flustered amusement.
He gave a relaxed stretch before pulling the covers back and climbing into bed. You followed suit, carefully crawling into bed in a way that felt almost comical as you tried not to disturb him. You settled on your side, positioning yourself close to the edge to avoid crowding him.
After a few moments of silence, Tyler broke the stillness with a gentle voice. "You don't have to be afraid to touch me," he said softly. "You can move closer if you want."
You rolled over onto your back, your thoughts racing as you settled in beside him. The warmth of the bed and the steady rhythm of Tyler's breathing soon filled the room, creating a comforting cocoon around you both.
After several minutes of lying quietly in bed, you glanced over at Tyler, who met your gaze with a warm, reassuring smile. He seemed to sense your unease and asked softly, "Are you okay?"
You hesitated for a moment, then asked with a touch of nervousness, "Is it okay if I cuddle you?"
Tyler's eyes twinkled with amusement as he chuckled, "You're adorable. Of course, it's okay." He shifted slightly, making room for you to scoot closer.
With a mix of nervous excitement, you rolled over and carefully nestled your head against his chest, draping an arm gently over him. You felt his steady heartbeat and the comforting rise and fall of his breathing.
"Am I okay? Am I hurting you?" you asked, a hint of concern in your voice.
Tyler relaxed into the embrace and leaned his chin against your head, his voice soothing as he replied, "You're just fine. No pain here."
The warmth and closeness enveloped you both, and you settled into a comfortable silence, feeling a sense of peace and contentment as the night wore on.
The next morning, you were gently roused from sleep by a soft knock on your door. Your roommate's voice came through, barely audible. "Hey, do you need anything from the grocery store? I'm heading there soon."
As you stirred, you noticed her head peeking through the slightly open door. Her eyes widened as they landed on Tyler, still asleep beside you. Her grin grew wide, and she gave you a playful look that made your cheeks flush. Quickly, you put a finger to your lips, signaling her to keep quiet.
Carefully, you slid out of bed, making sure not to disturb Tyler. You tiptoed across the room and joined your roommate downstairs.
The moment you reached the kitchen, your roommate turned to you with a look of incredulous excitement. "Okay, spill it! When did Tyler get to the house, and how did he end up in your bed?"
You let out a nervous laugh and began to explain the night's events, trying to piece together how everything had unfolded.
The irritating fluorescent lights flickering above made you scrunch your nose and turn on your side. Those damn hospital lights reminded you of those moments you'd spent there a couple of years ago, when your mom needed treatment for her illness. They felt eerie, almost like a weakening heartbeat flickering back at you while you stared at them.
Now here you were, back at the hospital again. Your dad had accidentally spotted the burns, poking out from under your shirt as you raised your arms above your head to put something on a shelf. Wishing you'd been more careful was useless now as you looked at the sleeping form of your dad slumped over the dreary hospital bed.
Your bullies had no idea you were in the hospital, but surely they'd be notified soon enough. There was no way your dad would let this thing go after seeing how badly they left you. He had dried tears on his hollow cheeks that made your heart twist painfully in guilt.
Although it wasn't your fault at all, you didn't want to be a burden to him. He already worked more than his body could handle, constantly stressed with the increasing workload his company gave him.
'' Miss, y/n? ''
You sat up straight at the sound of a nurse. She approached your bed with a sympathetic smile on her face, and you felt bad for her too. She looked young, too young - had you scarred her as well with your injuries? They weren't very nice to look at after all.
'' Yes? '' you whispered, eyes fleeting briefly to your dad sleeping to let the nurse know not to wake him up.
'' We've administered some soothing cream and medicine in case the pain gets too unbearable. If you wish, you may go home now. ''
You nodded. '' Thank you. ''
You reached out your hand and gently pat your dad. He grunted and slowly got up, stretching his sore neck as he slowly started waking up. He looked at you questioningly instead of asking what was wrong.
'' They said I could go home. ''
He sighed, maybe a bit louder than he had intended to because a look of regret flashed across his face, hurriedly he assured you, '' I wasn't worried about the bills, honey. ''
You knew he was but you didn't say anything. The promise of your warm, comfortable bed waiting at home was enough for you to stay quiet, even during the whole ride home.
Hearing the additional quiet sighs of your exhausted dad behind you when you hurried to your bedroom, made another pang of guilt hit you. But this time you ignored it too - another more important thought was filling up your mind now.
What would happen at school tomorrow?
You slipped under the heated covers and as a result of the long day, you fell asleep almost as soon as your head hit the pillow.
*******
You were one of the earliest students to arrive this time. Taking your designated spot at the back of the class, your head naturally fell into your arms as you yawned off the morning grogginess.
Before you left that morning, your dad had given you a smile and told you that, ' If those punks give you trouble again, call me '. But he had said so while balancing both his files and a cup of nearly spilled coffee, along with a laptop tucked under his arm. You'd seen him for maybe a few minutes before he disappeared off to work again.
You smiled a bit melancholically, knowing that if trouble did arise you wouldn't call him. Hopefully you wouldn't have a reason to do so anyway; maybe they'd be more gentle with you since they gave you such a harsh punishment last time.
The bell rang, startling you and making you raise your head. The class was pretty much full now. By instinct your eyes dart to where they always sat. Surprisingly, they were all in their seats but didn't seem to be paying you too much attention.
A few of them looked sleepy, slumped over their desks like you had been just a minute ago. The others had dark circles under their eyes and stared blankly towards the blackboard.
Rough night? They almost looked like they'd been out partying. You scoffed. It wouldn't shock you if they had; they sometimes smelled of smoke as they'd kiss you in the gym, so you wouldn't put it past them to drink during a school night too.
'' Good morning, class! '' the teacher's cheerful voice cut through the room.
The tired students responded back but in a much less bright tone.
'' We have a new student today. A transfer from Ansan. ''
The murmur from the usual chatty students stopped, and it became dead quiet. Just then the classroom door slid open and a tall, very good-looking guy crouched to get in.
'' This is Soobin, please introduce yourself. '' the teacher smiled.
'' Hi everyone, I'm Soobin. Nice to meet you. '' he said solemnly.
He sounded a bit shy and he didn't keep eye-contact with the students for long, eyes dashing anxiously from person to person while he clasped his hands together.
When his eyes landed on you, you smiled politely. Based on first impressions alone, it was clear as day to anyone that this guy didn't seem like a bully, so you wanted to be nice to him.
It's not easy being new, you knew that very well when you had to transfer during the second part of the first year. Back then, there weren't any people like you that would want to take care of the newcomer, like you wanted to take care of Soobin - and that's how you became their target. You couldn't let that happen to this guy.
'' You can take the seat next to y/n, that one in the back. '' you heard the teacher say.
You smiled again, that would certainly make things a bit easier as he would be sitting closer to you than your bullies. The part where you actually had to try to become friends was harder. You couldn't remember the last time you had a friend.
Soobin cautiously walked over to his seat, keeping his eyes down the whole time. He looked even taller up close, and he barely fit in his seat which made you snort quietly to yourself.
The teacher turned her back and started writing on the board as the murmur returned again. You fiddled nervously with your fingers before finally turning your head to him, determination shining in your eyes.
He must've seen you do so in his peripheral vision because he looked at you too, his bunny-like eyes growing twice its size.
'' Hi, I'm y/n. ''
'' Yeah, she...uh said so. '' he gestured to the teacher and then seemed to cringe at himself.
You let out a light laugh, maybe you were both equally awkward.
'' I guess she did. '' you gave him a genuine smile, one that reached your eyes. It had been a long time since you'd smiled in that way.
'' I'm Soobin. '' he seemed to relax when he saw your smile, a small one played on his own lips as he observed you timidly.
'' I know, she said that. '' you teased back.
He chuckled and you thought you saw him blush before he turned to pick up his notebooks from his backpack. You did the same, starting to copy the material from the board.
'' Hey, is it- okay if I eat lunch with you later? I know it's a weird thing to ask, but I don't really have anyone. '' he quickly rambled after you had been taking notes for some time.
'' I mean, you don't have to say yes if you already have someone you're eating with I just thought I'd ask. ''
A shy pout formed on his lips, seemingly indicating that he felt that he had embarrassed himself again. But you found it cute.
'' No, that sounds perfect. I don't really have any friends either. '' you admitted.
'' Oh. ''
'' It's okay. '' you laughed.
And then the two of you continued studying, while the sweet promise of having someone to finally eat lunch with was circling inside your mind.
*******
When the bell rang, you quickly packed up your things and waited for Soobin outside. You were slightly scared that if you were one of the last ones to leave, then your bullies would catch you red-handed and see your newfound friendship, prompting them to do something to the new student.
Soobin looked happy walking by your side, completely oblivious to all the stares and whispers that followed the two of you. He was even humming something, moving his head slightly all the way through the queue in the cafeteria to the walk to your table.
You chose one that was out of sight from the entrance, just in case they'd eat today. They often didn't - being from snobby rich families and all, they were grossed out by the cafeteria food and would usually drive home during lunch or go out to a restaurant together.
Someone must've told them about you and Soobin however, because you suddenly heard the table next to you gasp and gossip.
'' Why are they eating here today? ''
One of the girls glanced towards you, and when the others noticed, they all looked at you. Soobin looked confused, he stopped midway with his mouth open and his chopsticks carrying the food dropped it clumsily.
They giggled at him. But you couldn't even find humour in something like that when you had a bad feeling in your stomach. They were probably right when they looked at you as the answer to their question.
But why? Why would this make them angry? What would they do to Soobin now?
'' Hey, y/n. ''
You raised your head cautiously, dreading to see them. The fact that they seemed so out of it during the lesson shouldn't have made you feel so confident that it meant they'd avoid you all day.
Jake was the one who stood slightly in front of the group, the others gave threatening glares to students that looked like they wanted to intervene, making them hurriedly scurry away.
'' Yes? '' you couldn't hide the irritation in your voice.
'' What do you think you're doing? '' Jake cocked an eyebrow and then his attention was caught Soobin who was peacefully eating.
Your bullies seemed to assess him from head to toe which made the poor new student look very uncomfortable, causing him to squirm in his seat and clear his throat.
'' Eating lunch? '' you snarkily respond and then attempt to go back to eating while ignoring them.
You heard a scoff.
'' Did we say you could do that? '' Jay sneered, looking down at you.
Your cheeks started heating up and you turned your head as it started to show. The whole thing being done in front of Soobin made it feel ten times worse. Had you now lost a potential friend because they wanted to embarrass you like this on his first day?
You were about to respond but were interrupted by them all abruptly moving to squeeze in next to you and Soobin. The two of you exchanged confused looks.
'' We just wanted to join, can we not do that? '' Sunghoon winks to the flustered new student, who nods hesitantly.
But your lack of answer didn't satisfy them. Heeseung who sat closest to you, rested his hand on your exposed thigh as his eyes held a non-spoken warning in them.
'' Of course. '' you respond flatly, earning a satisfied grin from him.
It felt like you were holding your breath all throughout that excruciatingly long lunch. They'd never eaten with you before and it became clear quite quickly that the reason they did so today wasn't because of you - but, because of Soobin.
All throughout, their focus was on him and not you. It made you feel uneasy, like they had something up their sleeves. The new student was asked questions enthusiastically, which he answered happily as he slowly got out of his shell more and more. But you noticed the looks and the smirks they shared when he wasn't looking. Problem was that any time you'd try to warn Soobin, that hand would return back to your thigh. Heeseung didn't need to say anything, you knew not to test it. Still you hoped you'd have the chance to warn him later.
The reason why was because the way they treated Soobin on his first day made you get a horrible sense of deja-vu. In an instant you were transported back in time to your very own first day.
*******
You overheard girls talking in the halls while waiting for the teacher outside the classroom; about some guy they had hooked up with.
'' Are you fucking stupid? '' one of the girls sudden aggressive outburst made you perk your ears up without meaning to.
You didn't exactly have anything else to occupy your bored mind with while waiting anyway, so you eavesdropped a little.
'' Lee Heeseung? You hooked up with the Lee Heeseung? ''
Shifting your weight and turning over while pressed against the wall, you tried to get a good look at the poor girl who seemed to have gotten taken advantage of.
'' He's a known fuckboy and player. '' the angry one continued.
The girl you assumed was the topic of conversation shrugged, but she had a slight sad frown on her face.
'' I thought that...maybe I could change him. ''
The two others girls erupted into shrill laughter. You couldn't help but feel some sympathy for her despite her bad decisions. The teacher interrupted just as you were about to ask them about the guy, so you could avoid him.
'' Y/n? Are you ready? ''
You grimaced and nodded, giving one last look at the girl before following the teacher into the classroom.
Immediately a small pang of panic hit you. It wasn't empty like you'd expected, in fact - pretty much every single chair was filled with a student.
'' Good morning, class! '' the teacher's cheerful voice brought you back to reality.
You just had to introduce yourself and then the danger was over. You could spend the rest of the day glued to your desk, not talking to anyone and when lunchtime would hit, the convenience store across the school was your best bet.
'' We have a new student today. A transfer from Seongnam. ''
'' This is y/n, please introduce yourself. ''
You looked at the teacher, slight panic evident in your eyes. Clearing your throat you stepped forward a few steps.
'' Hi everyone, I'm y/n. Nice to meet you. ''
Your anxiety slowly started dissapating when a few students answered back politely and you released a breath you didn't know you'd been holding in.
'' You can take the seat next to Heeseung, that one in the back. '' you heard the teacher say, she was gesturing towards the back right of the classroom where a bunch of guys were huddled over one table, too busy talking to register what the teacher had said.
You obediently walked over there and tried not to make a scene when you put your things on the chair that was closest to the table they were all gathered around.
To your dismay, the owner of the popular table had noticed you in the corner of his eye. He quickly waved everyone away and then focused his attention on you.
It was very hard to ignore.
'' Hey, sweetheart. ''
No matter how hard you fought back to not show any reaction, your face scowled at the sound of his nickname, earning an abrupt laugh from one of the boys.
You were sure this meant bad news for you, a guy like that wouldn't want to be humiliated in front of his whole friend-group, so you quickly gave him a sheepish smile.
'' Yes? ''
Your innocent tone made his eyes narrow as more of the boys laughed. The longer you kept eye-contact, the more you felt him openly glare with something you couldn't quite explain glinting in his brown gaze.
Before he could embarrass himself in front of his friends further, he stood up so suddenly that the chair underneath made a loud screeching noise. To you surprise, everyone minded their business which was very different from your last school where everyone was nosy and the sound would've immediately made people whip their heads around in curiosity.
He dragged the chair as close as he could to next to yours, so close that the material was slightly pushing into your bare thigh.
Your eyebrows knit together as you watched him sit down. It was way too close for your comfort; you could even smell his cologne and the fact that it was so obvious it was an expensive one made you immediately annoyed.
He leaned in now, being just a few inches above your ear and most likely shielding you from his friends.
'' Do you know who I am? ''
Your loud scoff for answer seemed to enrage him even more. His much larger hand found your wrist and easily trapped it in a painful grip.
'' No, sorry. '' you hurriedly answer, feeling a lot less brave now, your wrist was already starting to hurt.
'' I'm Heeseung, remember that. ''
In your scared state, your head seemed to move on its own, rapidly nodding obediently. A victorious smirk appeared on his face before he finally retreated, dragging the chair behind him back to the group.
You dreaded the sound of the bell ringing. Predicting that he'd be standing right outside the classroom waiting for you with his friends. It was a long shot, but you tried taking the other door.
'' Hee? ''
You gasped, bumping into a taller male's chest. When you backed away and looked up, you cursed under your breath - it was one of his friends.
It seemed that they had thought of the possibility of you attempting to flee. The thought made your cheeks turn red.
Heeseung joined his friends who'd been guarding the door you tried to escape out of. Looking down at you very arrogantly, as if he could read your face and your thoughts, knowing you were flustered.
'' Did you try to run away? '' he snickered, putting his hands in his pockets and tilting his head at you.
It had the effect you were sure he wanted, you felt mocked and avoided his eyes.
'' Sorry. ''
He hummed before you felt his fingers wrap around your wrist again.
'' Let's go. ''
You went with them without protesting. Although you feared where they were taking you, you feared speaking and potentially getting on their nerves because of it, way more.
They were quiet the whole way, which seemed to never end. You passed by many classrooms, the cafeteria and walked down the loneliest and darkest corridor; yet they only spoke when the ones in front of the group seemed to come to a halt in front of a double door.
'' Open it. '' you heard one of the ones behind you say.
The tallest of the group, who was in front, unlocked it instantly and the lock fell to the floor in a loud thump. He pushed it open all the way, revealing a very large gymnast hall.
'' Why did you take me here? ''
It had become quite clear very fast that these people weren't someone you should mess with, and they were pretty high up on the school's hierarchy judging by the way no one interfered; instead pretending like they didn't see you pass by.
You made a quick guess that whenever they needed something, like the perfect place to do something bad to someone without others hearing - they were given it in one way or another. Maybe some poor student had been forced to get the keys from the teacher just to satisfy them.
'' Go sit over there. ''
Your head follow the voice. It was a pretty tall guy who was undeniably very handsome, from his silver hair and defined eyebrows to his deep voice, everything about him was pretty attractive.
It made you wonder what he wanted with you.
You didn't ponder on that thought long however, moving in a haste again to make sure they didn't get angry. Jumping up on the plinth he had pointed at, you watched nervously as they all approached the stairs leading up to a stage that your back was facing.
Without them needing to tell you to, you automatically turned around just in time for them to form a half-mood around you. Trying to read their faces was very difficult as they all looked at Heeseung who was sitting straight across from you, staring right back.
'' Why did you take me here? '' you try to ask again.
'' Well...I- we like you '' he answered simply, shrugging like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
'' What? '' you say dumbfoundedly.
'' I was trying to hit on you earlier, I don't know if you noticed. '' Heeseung bit down hard on his lip to stop himself from smiling.
'' But being nice didn't really work on you, did it? ''
'' We realised that with you, we need to use more extreme methods. '' a new voice said, one of the ones that hadn't said a word to you yet, who had strawberry blond hair and a soft voice.
'' Wh-What do you mean by that? '' your eyebrows knit together as your eyes darted anxiously between the two closest to you, being prepared to run if you had to.
'' I'm Sunghoon. '' the silver haired-boy said, ignoring your question.
'' I'm Jake. '' said the guy next to him.
Your gaze naturally averted to him. He looked like an innocent puppy, you wondered why he was friends with people like Heeseung. But when your eyes locked, he winked at you and you got your answer, face quickly turning into a grimace of disgust.
'' I'm Ni-ki. '' the tallest one said.
'' I'm Sunoo. '' the gentle one said, catching you off-guard when he flashed a big friendly grin.
'' Jungwon. '' the one closest to you on the other side said grumpily, not even bothering to look at you while saying it.
His red hair that seemed to be fading, was a perfect match to his personality, the whole time he looked like he was in a sour mood.
'' I'm Jay. '' the one furthest from you said.
He looked like a pretty scary guy, dark hair that was cut in a way that framed his sharp features.
'' That's everyone. Don't forget their names, okay? '' Heeseung spoke up last, tilting his head while smiling slightly at you.
Your voice didn't seem to work, you felt frozen in your spot, like you were glued to the plinth underneath you.
'' Can you not speak? ''
You saw anger flash across his face which only made your panic worse, but you couldn't get a single word out despite it, only a string of stutters and incomprehensible words left your mouth.
'' Do you want me to help you? ''
Not even registering that he had gotten up from his seat, you were taken by surprise when his rough hands grabbed either side of your face as his lips devoured you.
You tried to scream or turn your head so he couldn't have access to your mouth, but it was to no avail. Eventually your hands fell limp. All you could do was pray that it would end quickly, while your whines of protest were muffled by his hungry lips.
When he pulled away, he had a cocky smile on his face.
'' Get used to this. '' were his last words you heard before they left, forever engrained in your mind.
And that was how it started. No matter how much it happened, which was pretty much every other day after school at this point - it still didn't get easier, your clothes always got stained with tears. Their voices didn't help calm you down when you'd see the obvious desire in their eyes. They were like a hungry pack of wolves, just waiting for their turn with the prey
*******
The school bell rang after about half an hour, instantly snapping you out of your daydream. Your bullies said their goodbyes and then left, with one last look at you. But you shrugged it off and immediately leaned over the table to talk to Soobin.
'' Don't trust them, please! They might be all nice and sound like they actually want to be your friend but they're horrible bullies and- '' you hesitated before pulling up your sleeve to reveal the marks they'd left on you. '' They did this to me! Trust me...they're not good people. ''
Soobin's eyed widened in horror and his hand slightly twitched, as if he was either holding back the urge to clench his fist in anger, or resisting the urge to reach out and gently touch your wounds.
'' I'm sorry. '' was all he said after some time of silence.
You smiled a bit apologetically, pulling down the sleeve again. He seemed sweet and you didn't want to cause him distress for no reason, it just felt a lot more impactful if you showed him to make him believe you.
'' It's okay, I'm sure you didn't know. They're quite charming at first, that's how they get you. ''
'' I'm a bit offended that you thought I fell for it though. '' Soobin snickered.
'' What? ''
'' You think I believed all that bullshit, right after they spoke to you very passive-aggressively and basically shot daggers my way? ''
'' Uh...well, yeah? ''
He laughed heartily and stood up, you following as he threw the trash off his tray away.
'' That actually makes me feel a bit better. '' you mumblingly confess.
The pair of you walked together to class and spent the next few lessons and breaks together as well, surprisingly unbothered by your bullies this time since you were with someone for the first time in a long time.
At the end of the day when the bell rang, Soobin asked to hang out. He said he wanted to introduce you to his older brother and said he had something to talk about. You reluctantly agreed, but were on guard the whole taxi ride to his house since he was still a stranger.
His house was pretty big, located close to where the richest families in the country lived. He however claimed he wasn't rich; that it was his step-father that was pretty well off, but they didn't have a good relationship so he didn't spoil him.
'' Who are you? ''
You stared at the older male leaning against his desk. His eyes narrowed as they bore into you. Then they shifted to his younger brother who immediately straightened up.
'' It's my new friend, y/n. ''
'' Okay? ''
'' Yeonjun, please be a bit nicer. She needs our help. '' Soobin begged.
A puzzled expression overtook your face as you tugged on his sleeve.
'' What do you mean? ''
'' I will help you take them down. '' he said, a smirk slowly creeping up on his lips. '' Every, single one of them. ''
