actually still laughing that lucanis' primary concern with the idea of rook and spite staying up to play cards is that he hasn't taught spite how to play wicked grace yet. yet, which implies it will happen eventually, but also there's an implied concern that rook will wipe the table with spite, which means she will functionally hustle lucanis for who knows how much money and i cannot imagine spite would take this very well, which is a scenario so comedic i almost wish i could watch play out in real time
