do ppl rlly consider like 100 or 200 notes on an art post to be a flop? Honestly im always posting with the anticipation of getting like only double digits & considering 100 notes to be a success enough for me

#i dont like expecting more when ig comes to response bc I'll just get sad if i set my expectations too high #but also some of my most favorite art on the internet has like. 10 notes. even less at times !#bc the thing abt getting response on art doesnt exactly reflect quality its often more of like marketing skills tbh #like striking the iron when its hot & getting ur posts in an algorithm #it's all about making sure people Will see it. regardless of quality of the art #i try to avoid limiting what i make and do based on what i know will get ppl's eyes on it if i use the proper tags and etc etc #with full knowledge it will limit how much eyes get on my art & stay on it. bc fuck that.#i want ppl that rlly want to see it to see it thats what matters to me #so its a surprise to have some of my art get like 1k notes like. wow ! how did you all get here #but like literally. 100 notes is a success to me i dont like to ask for more #idk where i was going with this.#something something i want to stop placing my artistic worth on digital numbers #rando thoughtz
