it's 2023 and i'm STILL seeing people defend 5x14 "He didn't even torture her, maybe assaulted." that doesn't make it any better. "He wasn't in control of his actions" um, where were you when they had a whole conversation about it, "You don't want to do this." / "I don't, but I have to." not to mention "The worst part of it is, I don't regret it."

enter my exasperated rage at "there was no other way." I don't know, maybe getting Streiten or some other doctor previously affiliated with SHIELD to do the operation, not someone whose expertise in said operation was from a digital hell made by a hell-charged robot. Shit, at least get Simmons to do it, or do it with some anaesthesia*, I don't know, maybe try asking or telling Daisy first about it because if you laid it out for her that everyone in River's End might die she'd probably say yes despite what she said in anger in canon?

the other way is literally just asking for consent and getting a professional to do it, preferrably in a painless manner*.
