Ok, i think I've asked about the arranged Celerond marriage, so I'm gonna role the dice and ask about this mysterious Untitled Document.
Ahaha yesss! The mysterious Untitled Document! This one has been sitting there for a while, and I keep circling back to poke at it. It's a Celrond fic (big surprise), but it has more of a focus on Celebrian & Celeborn. In my headcannons - hair is a secondary sex characteristic for the Noldor, and it's considered a very private thing. So having braided/pinned up/otherwise styled/covered hair is appropriate, and leaving your hair loose is not. I hc Celebrian as being more culturally Sindarin (they like to leave their hair loose and there's no weight attached to it), vs Elrond -- being raised since he was pretty young in a Noldorin environment -- has the Noldorin sensibilities.
Anyway Cel doesn't really track this? So this fic is set in Elrond and Cel's courting stage, and it's gonna be Celeborn giving Celebrian the hair talk so she stops flustering Elrond out of his mind haha.
Small snippet:
“Ada, which one do you think Elrond would like best?” Celebrían asked, pulling out her first choice: the green bell-shaped gown, as well as a breezy periwinkle dress that glittered with gemstones and left her shoulders bare. “I think he will like both because you are in them. Would you like help with your hair?” Celebrían hadn’t been planning on doing anything with it, but would never turn down an opportunity to have her hair brushed. She nodded, crossing to the vanity to collect the tools and various products, and said: “I was thinking of leaving it loose.” Amusement —and some other strange expression— flickered across Celeborn’s blunt face. He sat with Celebrían on her bed and took the hair brush from her.

i’m going to piss off the die hard trop fandom and say there’s a reason why they’re taking longer than usual to officially announce s3 🤷🏻♀️ and why their marketing post s2 has been so heavily centered around sauron/galadriel even though it was only 1 scene between the two of them. i’m going to piss ppl off even more and say no matter how the execs try to spin it, they aren’t actually that happy with the ratings especially after huge investments

this thread kinda explains it. it’s not even about the shipping/romance. a bulk of viewers do get attracted by the two main leads and the lack of interactions do matter.
Most of the audience wants to see the two main characters interact on screen, really? color me surprised...
Some of the comments are insane. "I really hope their take away from season feedback isn't to try to create even more interaction between these two." Sweetie this relationship is at the center of TROP, as the showrunners, directors and actors always said that it was, what are you talking about ? "even more interaction" ? We had only one interaction in season 2 ! Less than that would be zero. These people can't be serious lol
Anyway yeah, I know the ratings aren't as good as they claim they are. I think it's a shame because season 2 was really good. Yes, Sauron and Galadriel were separated most of the time, but it was wanted by the plot... I don't really buy that the showrunners decided to cater to the Reddit crowd and that is why they didn't interact until the finals. Galadriel pining over Sauron wasn't what the lore-bros wanted. What they wanted was Celeborn to come back and put his wife "at her right place", and Galadriel to stop being a warrior and remove herself from the main story lmao
The Celebrimbor/Annatar arc was very important and couldn't be just condensed in a couple of episodes. And it deserves more love imho, especially because Charlie and Charles' performance was stellar. They had only eight episodes... I thought they did their best with what they had, personnally.
