Anti wolfstar yoo-hoo
I finally made it to this post, and I'm going to say everything that's stuck in my head
Please stop pretending that Remadora doesn't exist in the original. No one is stopping you from shipping a character with anyone, on the contrary, I'm even jealous of the imagination of many people in the fandom. Fanon is just fine when people can draw a clear line between what the fandom came up with and what the author of the original work came up with. But I always have a lot of questions for individuals who deny CANON.
There was no mention of the Sirius/Remus romance in the original. In the original, they have a lot of red flags. In the original, neither of them even tries to be more important to each other than their other friends (for example, Remus treated Weasley family the same way he treated Sirius, if you look closely). The original said that at some point in their lives they didn't trust each other and paid the price for it. How can people who supposedly loved each other just believe that the other is a traitor? How can you, knowing someone for years, just believe the gossip? They didn't even try to find out the truth from each other, didn't even try to TALK about it to each other - Sirius just believed that Remus was a traitor because of lycanthropy (and his disappearance because of a secret Order of the Phoenix mission), and Remus just believed that Sirius was a traitor because the Ministry said so (which, by the way, he never believed?! Weird, right?)
But in the original there was Remadora. In the original, Remus and Tonks' relationship is shown in as much detail as necessary for a story that doesn't focus on the romance of secondary characters. Let's not forget that the books are written on behalf of a boy who has seen very few genuinely loving relationships in his conscious life (Plus, Harry is clearly not a very smart guy, no matter how much we love him, he's a bit of an idiot). The original shows how Remus and Tonks' relationship was experienced during different situations and you can see that they really love each other. Remus and Tonks got married: if Remus didn't want to, he wouldn't have married Tonks, no matter how much she "forced" him. Seriously, he's over 30 years old - do you really think he couldn't stand up for himself if he didn't have the will? How much are you belittling him if you think he married Tonks just because he felt guilty or because she looks like Sirius because of the Black blood, or because she can morph herself as Sirius? It's even insulting to the character, both to Tonks and to Remus himself - he's a grown man and can make his own life as he wants it. As we can see, he wanted Tonks.
Fanon is one thing - you can do what you want, but canon is another thing. Everything is already written out for us, and I find it unacceptable to make things up for your own satisfaction in any couple and passing it off as reality, and I see that as a sign of not being serious about the entire fandom universe

My top 3 favorite ships is Hinny, Romione, Jily and to complete the top 5 are Remadora and Bleur. What's your thoughts about these two ships?
[For my opinion on the other three, view this post]
Bleur
I like them. Honestly, I don't really think we have enough information on them to really pass any type of particularly positive or negative judgment. But I like that they seem very affectionate with each other, and I've always found very cool the pair up of these two very attractive people giving them a sort of equal ground, even if no one is really on equal ground when it comes to veelas, I suppose. Of course, it wasn't just about that as Fleur shows in the scene at the hospital wing in HBP. She was such a badass there.
If I have to criticize something it might be the dislike for the Burrow and the general rudeness of Fleur when she is a guest at the Weasleys. But I think the girl just had very poor social skills (JKR there was obviously playing on the french stereotypes). One might argue that not liking the Burrow is like not liking a part of Bill but, as Ginny reminds us, Bill likes a bit of glamour. I honestly think this was where a lot of Mrs. Weasley's dislike for Fleur came from. She is part of the lifestyle that brought Bill away from home, proving that it wasn't just some sort of phase Bill had.
Anyway, cool side pairing but I do not have a particular interest in them.
Remadora
I didn't really care much for remadora until wolfstar shippers started becoming toxic saying bullshit like "if you don't like wolfstar/if you like remadora you are homophobic". Out of pure spite, I started thinking about remadora and why it worked.
Aesthetically there's something so soft about it, which obviously doesn't count much for an argumentation but it reflects also on their general vibes as characters. Remus is all shabby and gentle (superficially) and Tonks is this explosion of colors with all the different hairstyles. They balance out each other. Like with the fact that Remus is always very aware of himself while Tonks is very clumsy.
The age difference was never really a problem for me, they are both two consenting adults and it's thirteen years, which is a big age gap for sure but it's not twenty.
I love how unapologetic Tonks is about loving Remus and how much of an active attitude she assumes, this is such a rare thing to see in female characters (it's something I really love about Ginny/hinny too). I've seen so many people criticize Tonks in HBP because she lost her powers, people saying her character was ruined, and it's something that infuriates me so much. If she had been a male character people would have been all gushy oh my God! He loses his powers because he's so in loveee with her! so romantic! this is a real man! But Tonks is a woman so she is not really allowed to have emotions. You know it's funny how women are not really allowed to love men. They are allowed to be chased by them but not love them in the way that if men love women they get praised for. If a man goes to the end of the world for the woman he loves, he is perfect and amazing. But if a woman does that for the man she loves? She's weak. This stupid inheritance from third-wave feminism is just another way of the patriarchy to trick women into being passive.
My feminist rant aside, in the name of intellectual honesty, there are some toxic elements in this ship that are a consequence of Remus being Remus. No pairing with Remus can be healthy because he is a toxic person. His inability to love himself makes him unable to truly love someone else. We see a sort of resolution of that by the end of DH which makes his death even more tragic. If Remus and Tonks had lived they would've had so many happy years in front of them.
I honestly think their story would make such an interesting romance book.
