This wasn't the easiest of situations, he was here but as far as he could tell he was alone. It wasn't as if he was worried for their safety, Sorsha always could look after everyone else around her, their children would be safe. That didn't mean that it didn't feel like there was a hold in his heart right now. Still, least this seemed like an adventure, for now. "If we're here, and other people are there... is there still a there, that was the there that we came from" he mused, "that... didn't make any sense did it?"

"Could be worse, could be a Brownie" he mused for a moment, before remembering that most people here actually hadn't had to deal with Brownies. Ah well, that wasn't really his problem. They were very annoying though, and good at giving him headaches. Quite literally.
"Would anyone like to be leashed?" not quite the point but he didn't really care that much. "Probably dog training places here though, they're a popular pet".
.。.:*☆ "She is still a little wild one, I fear." Not that Arya did mind it. While she was pretty aware that dogs, just like horses, needed a certain level of training, she could never imagine Nymeria being tamed. Not in a way people in Ivy Cove would expect, at least.
"And she also does not like her leash very much," She added, finally managing to at least grab Nymeria by her collar again.

you have forced me to do something i really don't want to do. (from Jean)
"Have I?" admittedly that did sound like something he'd do, he just had no memory of what he had done to offend her... also sounded far to much like something he'd do. "Why don't you start at the beginning, and tell me what I did, and what that is leading you to do, and if it is going to cause me any pain or not".

❝ how long until you believe that you can trust me ? ❞ (from Charlie)
"What?" that question seemed to have come out of nowhere, and he wasn't all that sure how to respond to it either. Quite a question, it might be some fun he supposed. "Course I trust you, you've not given me any reason not to... unless you're about to" and he trusted anyone with a pretty face. A character flaw he supposed. Admittedly he hadn't trusted Sorsha to begin with, though that had more to do with being kicked in the face.

❝ you’re not very good at keeping conversation, are you ? ❞ (Elio & Any)
"I've heard that before" possibly mostly out of spite. He'd had a lot of expensive lessons in his childhood on how to act noble, and it had been very useful when he was around attractive ladies. Otherwise, he didn't want to do it, if only because he hadn't lived in the nobility for a very long time. "Probably true, difficult to want conversation when thinking a lot about other lives".

"Wasn't back home, not unless you put the pointy end into the wrong person" which he had managed to do a few times. Not as if the punishment had ever been too bad, he had just been locked away. The thirst was the bigger problem, but water was usually carried by travellers at least. "Isn't that different from my world. Wasn't droids I suppose, but other things".
"I'm pretty sure that's illegal everywhere." Not that Emmett hadn't killed before, it's just his family heavily frowned on it, even for feeding purposes. So he tried to avoid it. "Oh I feel that, this place honestly feels like a toddlers imagination sometimes. Like why not just have dragons in the sky and droids on the ground."

"Maybe you need the pointy stick... that's illegal here isn't it?" not that it hadn't been back home, there was a reason he had been arrested so many times. "They're better off back home, least there things make a lot more sense... and they have a palace" better than the small house he had here. Well he had been nobility once before, he like grander.
"It wasn't the best." He admitted sheepishly, Emmett wasn't the type to dwell. Unlife was too long in his opinion. "Definitely not compared to what I came from, but I survived. Got my girl back and found my real family.. I hope you can find yours too." He didn't think anyone should be separated from their loved ones, after all. They were what made life worth living.

"That is exactly my point, but worded better" he never claimed to be the world's best wordsmith, swordsman he'd take though. "If they are gone, then whoever has done this will have hell to pay. I don't care what magic they might have, I can't accept this is their fate" he wouldn't, not when his children didn't seem to be here. If he knew their homes still existed then he'd relax, Sorsha was able to look after all of them without batting an eye, but until he knew, he was angry.
"i feel like that is the least weird question that i have ever asked about this world." belle mutters under her breath, as she traces her finger along the spine of her book. "i mean... there has to be our own world back home still right?" she asked finally turning her eyes back up towards the man in front of her. "because... if not, where are the people who aren't here? they can't just be gone if their not here." no... the thought alone made her blood freeze. she had people there. her father, her HUSBAND. they couldn't just not exist.

Maybe he was overthinking it. Elora was meant to be very powerful, she might have been able to save them all. That might be too much pressure to put onto a three year old though, and he'd rather someone would just tell him if his children were alive and safe.
"The tapes?" they'd shown up on his doorstep one morning, he'd been curious but also bored easily. "All those had in them was history I lived though. Doesn't tell me if they're alive now".
.。.:*☆ "I do know what you mean." And not only that. She also missed her old life sometimes. Feeling something tugging at her heart whenever she watched the stars in the sky. And then, Raven wondered again if she should be more thankful. For being able to live here, and all that.
"I have heard.... well, that we now can find out. That there are some sort of records about our old lives, before Ivy Cove. I do not know if those records would include anything about your friends and family, but maybe it is worth a try?"

"No" that didn't sound right either. "My family here is as real as my family there. Love is infinite after all" it had taken the twins birth to realise that, and realise he would do anything to keep them and the rest of his people safe. Funny, he had never wanted to be a King, he wasn't the right sort of person for it. At her words though he could feel the anger in his chest, not at her but at the possibility someone had done that. "Then you haven't met anyone truly talented with a sword. Besides, I once knew a pe... man who took down far greater evil with nothing but an old bait and switch trick".
" A replacement family? " she asks, the notion familiar to her. After all, she enjoyed the sister she had on this isle. There was no bloodshed between her kin. It felt tranquil enough but if she were to be truthful, she did miss her true family. " Mayhaps I imply both plausibility. " she speaks wistfully, her voice leagues away. When her memories returned, she registered the fear of leaving her boy behind to the rats. " Even a dragon could not save mine own, I do not think a sword should stop any man when they are paid the right price. "

"It better not be right. If it is, then I am going to stab a very sharp point stick into someone" that he wouldn't change his mind on. If anything had happened to his kids, there would be hell to pay to whoever had done it. He couldn't let them be hurt. "How big do you think this island is? I'd have thought only so many people would fit".
"That can't be right." He refused to believe that Carlisle and the others weren't around, that they simply stopped existing. "They have to be somewhere on this island, maybe they are memoryless but we just haven't found them yet?"

It was something of a comfort, even if it was only someone elses point of view. He didn't know what to believe at this point, other than the fact no one else was here. "I have to believe that, if I don't... well then whoever's done this has better hope they have a good defence because even the best one in the world won't be enough to keep them safe from me" and it had never been said that he was modest.
Megara arched an eyebrow as he spoke, deciding not to point out the fact that still seemed to be a lot of words. Still, ever since things had started coming back to her, she hadn't had the opportunity to have a candid conversation about any of it. Maybe this could be the start of that. Meg shrugged at the question, "I don't think we can know for sure but..." She paused for a moment, biting back a sigh, "I'd like to think it is. At least that would explain where... Other people are."

"They aren't... though without memories I've made new family here, so in that regard they're here as well" though what Sorsha would make of all this he didn't really know. What any of them would make of it, it was impossible to say. Magic was hardly new, but this magic was something else. "Are you talking about all the people who aren't here being in danger, or the ones from your land? Because if someone is going to hurt my children, they'll learn why I am the greatest swordsman, magic be damned... can't be worse than my mother-in-law".
Helaena nodded in agreement, she knew better than most when it came to speaking nonsense. She understood him perfectly well, even if it weren't what he meant at all. Her mind was filled with dreams and calamity, it wasn't that much of a difference. " They are people. People are whom you choose as your home. If they are not here, you are not home. " she spoke through her dreams, they only held one answer. At least for her, she understood what was going back on in Westeros. " Those not here are awaiting death's door. I have seen it in the haze of sleep. I do not know the outcome of your people, though. "

"Do I?" he mused. Was there home? He had family there, loved ones, a roof over his head. But then he had all those things here, what made those more home then the ones here? Oh he was going to give himself a headache if he kept going down this line of thought. "I mean the place I was before here, which one is home, I don't know" both, neither, he wasn't sure. "Either way, what I mean is what happened to those that are still there and not here".
Ever since the memories came rushing back, the world has never felt brighter. It was the contentment that war was far from this place and peace could prevail. Or it was another wishful thinking that Helaena was accustomed to. She paused to listen to his ramblings, it wasn't like she had anything better to do. Besides she could appreciate riddles, she spoke enough of them. " I think it made perfect sense, yes. " she assures the stranger, " You are meaning ' home ', is that the correct answer? " Giving a gleeful smile as if she won a tourney. "

"That's exactly it. Because if it doesn't..." and for a moment all he could think about were the people left behind. Even the ones he hadn't liked, they didn't really deserve to just be blasted into oblivion, that was what Brunhilda had wanted.
"But if it doesn't, what happened to the people there?" that was the problem, the one thing he couldn't get past.
.。.:*☆ "I guess you wonder if the world we came from does still exist?" Raven asked back, glancing at the man as she did. Because, sure, she had been wondering the same. Even when life here was good. She was always thinking about before. And the people she had left behind.
"I feel like there is no way to find out, though." She frowned. "Not that I know of, at least. Because rumour has it you would not remember it, if you leave, and the suddenly show up here in Ivy Cove again one day."

"And that's the problem" not for the first time, his mind went back to his children. They were so young, they deserved to live long happy lives, and right now he didn't know if his home was still there. "Well if those worlds are gone, they might be... we don't know".
Emmett rubbed the sides of his temples, his eyes wide and then narrowing at the thought. "No-- maybe... I don't know, my head hurts." He admitted with a sigh. "If there is no there, then where are those that aren't here?" He tried to rationalize, using the other persons logic.
