My thoughts on Camellya's companion quest, WuWa

I made a new blog just for this I don't even know how to use tumblr😭😭 Anyways...

Before I properly begin this post I would like to preface this by saying that I am a returning player for WuWa. I quit the game a week after it's release because my phone couldn't handle it and I've recently re-downloaded on my PC. I've read through all story quests. There are some companion quests that I got a friend to do for me during my absence and thus, have not read. When I initially quit the game, I thought that the writing was, to put it bluntly, bad. I won't talk much about that for now, but with that in mind, do note that there may be some biases in this analysis as I am not an expert in writing, storytelling, and that I've walked into this quest withe the preconceived notion that the writing in this game is mediocre at best. This is just my opinion :) (I also have no idea how to write analyses lmao pls bear with me TT)

Well! that out of the way, Lets talk about Camellya!

!!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Camellya as a character

Camellya is utterly captivated by Rover's strength. It brings her a sense of pure unadulterated joy when she gets to watch Rover fight, whether with or against her.

In her past as Lady Flora, Rover had once saved her from overclocking. I believe that the notion that there's someone out there who can save you from yourself were you too loose control brought a sense of comfort to Lady Flora. Before she knew it, she was subconsciously starting to depend more and more on Rover, making them her "anchor". They became her beacon of sanity.

And then, Rover decided to wipe their memories and leave.

Without her anchor, Lady Flora was overcome with total despair. She felt helpless. Her emotions were taking a toll on her physically, causing her, to be constantly at risk of overclocking. And she couldn't do anything about it.

And worst of all, if Rover were to return (however long that would take, if at all), and she were reduced to a completely useless state by the time they did, they would look at her with the worst feeling to receive; pity.

Lady Flora despises all that is weak. In such a pathetic state like a dog waiting for its owners return, she couldn't bear to live like that any longer.

And so, following Rover's footsteps, she sealed her memories, all so that she could continue to live without needing to suffer from the burden of grief.

This aspect of Camellya's character resonates quite well with me. My personal greatest fear is to be totally dependent on someone; be it financially, emotionally, or physically.

Depending on someone is not inherently a bad thing. It's nice to have a shoulder to lean on when you're down. It's nice to know that there's someone you can trust to help you when you need it the most.

What's not fun is when you lose that someone. To depend is to put some trust, and by extension, a part of yourself into an individual. Your relationship with that individual shapes your identity. Losing that individual would be like losing yourself, leaving an empty slot in your soul.

In Lady Flora's case, there was no one she trusted more than Rover. So when Rover announced that they were going to just... forget it all; to erase their present selves, and by doing so they unintentionally erased a large part of Camellya's self.

And now, time for some shameless self-indulgence!! Honestly, Camellya reminds me quite a bit of Nikolai Gogol from Bungo Stray Dogs, though their philosophies greatly differ. Especially when it comes to freedom.

Camellya believes that freedom is achieved when she simply follows her instincts. She finds satisfaction when she indulges her every whim and doesn't care for anything she deems boring. If she doesn't follow these instincts, she'll feel hunger in her body gnawing for it to be satiated.

Her "crazy" behaviour is the result of her following her instincts. She doesn't seem to express any empathy towards anyone as far an I'm concerned.

There are instances where she seems to care for others, for example, she saved Petalfall village as she had grown some attachment to the place, but she brushes it off by merely saying that she did that to return a favour they did for her by taking her in.

To put it simply; to her, to be free is to follow one's every whim.

As for Nikolai, he believes that human emotions are shackles. To be free, he rejects any kind of feelings he has towards anyone. This can clearly be seen in his relationship with his "dear friend" (i know what you are.), Fyodor Dostoyvsky.

The only person who truly understands Nikolai's odd philosophy is Fyodor. In his words;

"He was looking into my essence. Dos-kun was the one person in my life who understood. My intimate friend."

To be understood is to be seen. To be seen is to be known. And what better feeling is there than to be known? And when faced with such a feeling what can one do but feel validated? Feel comforted?

To be comforted is to feel. To feel is to be shackled.

And so, to achieve freedom, Nikolai tries to kill Fyodor.

Nikolai, unlike Camellya, suppresses his instincts. He rejects what his emotions tell him.

Nikolai's belief of freedom is the total opposite of Camellya's and yet they both behave quite similarly. They enjoy playing "games" with the person that they're attracted to.

They both put on mask of apathy. And yet, they're still so different. Nikolai, unlike Camellya, he feels guilt when he murders others, unlike Camellya who sees her opponents merely as prey and executes them with no remorse.

I just think it's very interesting to compare these two honestly haha..

Storytelling

One thing to note; the only other companion quests I've read prior are Lingyang's, Jiyan's and Encore's.

Reading through Camellya's quest, I did feel that there was some improvement in the writing, though a bit rough in the beginning.

I'll be starting small: like in previous quests, Camellya's quest had the tendency to repeat information we already knew. I'm not 100% certain but I'm pretty sure this happens quite a few times in the quest.

It was glaringly obvious to me in the beginning of the quest, around our first fight. During the fight, she started talking about being stuck in like a medical pod while she was midway through her investigation of her past as the result of overclocking. And then... after that... like literally immediately after the fight, she told us that bit of info... again....

Alright I'm done being nice. You wanna know how I feel about Camellya's quest overall? I thought it was good. Great, even. We got to learn more about Camellya's past, we got to learn about her as a character. Goof stuff. I could almost give it a 9/10...

...if rover hadn't ruined it for me.

I don't know if this is a me problem (it def is) but in a majority of these quests I fucking HATE the way the characters interact with rover. It just reeks of male power fantasy shite. I'm clearly not the target audience for this game.

Honestly I probably wouldn't have minded Camellya's past with rover being like this if rover werent blankest slate of an mc i ever knew. homie is like a walking projection screen honestly. I could make an entire other post about this honestly.

Anyways, I'm getting tired now so lemme wrap this up; All in all, I think that Camellya's quest had a pretty good story compared to the other's that I've read, however the execution could've been better had Rover not been the centre of it all.

ahem. yes. anyways. i'm totally normal abt this, i totally didn't go feral for a few moments before i started typing this. OK BUT I'M SO READY TO TRY TO CONVINCE U TO READ THIS CUZ WHEN I SAY THIS WEBTOON + WEBNOVEL HAS CHANGED ME ENTIRELY. pls bear with me, giving me a chance to word vomit was not a good idea /hj. i'll put everything under the cut :] and i'll try to keep everything as spoilerless as possible so that u can safely enjoy the story when u get to it

i will apologise in advance for the person i've become, this might end up becoming a HUGE post (edit: i think it did, this is apparently at a lil more than 2k words rn cuz i typed this in google docs for fear of tumblr nuking my entire draft and me having to start all over again)

tldr for those who don't want to go through a 2k essay; orv is for you if you enjoy clean art, stories that will break down your initial expectations and surpass them, and things like found family, love (all kinds), and just an emotional rollercoaster in general. prepare snacks and tissues.

i'll start with the webtoon because that's where it started for me! honestly one of the things i look for most when i start a webtoon is the art. and there are times when even if i like the story, if the art ain't it for me, i'll drop the story 😭💀 but orv has such beautiful and crisp art, very edible art HAHAHA (both webtoon and novel by the way but i'll get to the novel in a bit) it makes me go so O.O sometimes. here's an example of the art, you might've seen it somewhere but i'm still adding it here for the pure beauty of these men named kim dokja and yoo joonghyuk AND ALSO han sooyoung and jung heewon (yes i'm gay, no it's not obvious /j). every character in this webtoon is so well drawn and just. chef's kiss okay, so if you like pretty art, you've got that right here folks.

moving on, the story seems, at first, like a very generic action fantasy webtoon where the world of a novel becomes reality and our mc aka kim dokja is the one who knows how to get to the end and he gets to meet his favourite novel’s protagonist yoo joonghyuk and decides to save the world. but as the story progresses on and on, it becomes so much more than that. the storytelling skills have to be applauded because webtoons can't use lots of words and have to convey things more concisely than their novel counterparts but they've done an amazing job of using the right dialogues in the right places with the right amount of impact. AND as of right now, the story is starting to head towards what i'd like to say is the actual beginning of this webtoon >:) that’s all i can say without spoiling some major things from the novel so,, yeah!

another beautiful part is the portrayal of each of the characters, especially kdj, and their different dynamics with kdj. now kim dokja is our mc and the main narrator of this entire thing so we’re quite limited in that sense because all we see and know is what kim dokja tells us through his narration. a lot of posts have accurately pinned him down as an unreliable narrator because he really only ever shows his companions (and us readers) one part of things and we’re all left to speculate about things. each companion holds a different opinion of kdj but all of them are united in the fact that they trust him to help them get through everything. while the webtoon hasn’t had a chance to explore that yet, i’m looking forward to how they will show it to us :] i’d say that this webtoon is worth a read also because kim dokja is the most mind boggling, intriguing and frustrating character you will ever meet. that’s a fact that’ll get clearer as you get closer to the recent chapters of the webtoon, but i love how he’s relatable in the sense that he both makes me screech in awe but also makes me want to wring his neck with how he is sometimes. i love him *holds him by the neck* (affectionately). oh and when i say every character is just a beautiful piece of art, i mean both their literal art and also the way they’ve been written, though it is more clear in the novel as of right now.

NOW i’m gonna move onto the webnovel because i honestly fell deeper into the rabbit hole purely because of the novel. and sing shong (the author of the webnovel) is an absolute genius for the way they have both intricately and simply pushed a single message throughout the length of the novel. i constantly joke about how reading the orv novel has changed my brain chemistry but i’m not joking most of the time because it really did. in many ways, i’m sure this is a novel i will remember for a very long time to come.

the same points i spoke about for the webtoon stand for the novel as well BUT of course the novel is just immaculately written and it deserves a chance of its own. it’s not that the writing of the novel is extraordinarily fancy or anything, it’s actually quite simple reading without too many complicated words but i think that has a beauty of its own. it’s able to convey what it needs to without having 10 pages of description and that’s awesome to me. there are issues with some things written in the novel but as it isn’t a focus or the point of orv (i got this point from this tumblr post, feel free to read through it if you want to because they have written some great points that can’t be said better by me!), it’s still a novel that entertains you to the fullest.

the characters are admittedly more fleshed out in the novel than the webtoon but that’s because the webtoon is still catching up while the novel is complete (it ended with epilogue chapters but recently the author came out with side stories). the relationships are just very detailed and it gives you a look into not only kim dokja’s head, but also yoo joonghyuk and other characters’ heads as well, though they’re not as common because the majority of the story is in kdj’s point of view. i’ve neglected mentioning other character names so far but kim dokja has a set of the most loyal and sweet and sometimes feral companions besides yoo joonghyuk like yoo sangah, who is someone kdj knew before the novel became their world, jung heewon and lee hyunsung, kdj’s trusty sword and shield, lee gilyoung and shin yoosung, his children (not biological but yes). there’s also lee jihye, an avid yoo joonghyuk follower who insults kdj at every turn but cares for him, and han sooyoung, who is portrayed as a bit of an antagonist or an anti-hero (as far as the webtoon goes anyway wink wink). and a lot of other characters you’ll grow to either love a lot or hate with a passion oR even have your opinion take a whole 180 about as you read on and on, that’s just the kinda novel this is.

don’t even get me started on the underlying themes of this novel. this is me being an english major (and psychology major unintentionally, double major woohoo) through and through but i love analysing characters and figuring out themes that come out through the writing. i won’t go too into the details so that i won’t spoil it for anyone who happens upon this post. but there’s the overarching theme of love; not just romantic love but also platonic love, familial love and the most important one of this novel, self-love. another theme i think is quite relevant and important to this story is more easily relatable to people who read often because it goes into how books can change you BUT you can also change books by reading them over and over again and understanding it better. also how stories can save you but you, as a reader, have the power to save stories by reading them. because in the end, a story continues because you read it. OH I CAN’T FORGET THIS, found family <3 if you’re a fan of found family, this is for you, it’s present throughout the story as a small but encompassing theme.

now this could be just me but i get extremely emotional when it comes to my favourite media, so i squeal with joy at happy parts, sob uncontrollably when sad scenes come up, punch my pillows when something makes me mad⏤ you get my point. and this novel gave me an entire rollercoaster of emotions and made me so URGH in good, bad and ugly ways. it kinda brings me back to my point about kdj being an unreliable narrator since the reason why it gets so hard and sad is because this man never tells anyone anything. he takes it upon himself to do everything, much to the annoyance and despair of his companions and us the readers. we know nothing other than what kdj is willing to tell us, not about his plans, not about him, not about his own feelings. and we’re left to guess and guess until everything is laid bare and then we’re still trying to. process everything. yeah i don’t know if this part is making any sense but i can’t really go into detail without majorly spoiling the story. so you’re gonna have to come back to my post once you’re done to be like “ohhh, right this is what they meant.” /j

To move to a lighter and probably my last point, the novel illustrations are gold i tell you. it’s done by a person named blackbox or bb-nim for short and i love just going through their art for fun. of course, if you’re reading it on a website like i did, then you’re not going to see the illustrations side by side so you should definitely check out blackbox’s twitter which i’ve linked here :] you’ll probably also find their art on pinterest. gorgeous art i tell you, BUT BUT BUT there are spoilers here and there so beware if you go digging through their media tab on their twt. I’ll put some of my favourite pieces that are as non-spoiler as possible under this

so. yeah. these are my reasons for why you should read both the orv webtoon and novel. In the end, all i can say is that if you give them a chance, you’ll probably get hooked just as i did. i knew to a certain extent about how the novel was but nothing prepared me enough but i’m not complaining because it is genuinely so good. i’ll add a list of content warnings here that i got from the wiki page because i don’t want anyone to be ambushed by anything they’re not comfortable with reading: graphic violence, death and murder, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, suicide, body horror, dissociation, transphobia (this might be a deal breaker and it would be for me too as a nonbinary person but it’s not a major focus and happens a couple times throughout the story), cephalopods, tentacles (yes these are real content warnings on the wiki HAHAHA), and finally hospitals.

"sit still Bubba," Andy said, rubbing the shaving cream into your soft, freshly showered skin. "Dada doesn't want to nick you with this." he said, showing your purple razor.

"otay, Dada," you babbled back, your hands wrapped around your stuffed dolphin. you hummed as you watched Andy glide the razor up your leg, and over your knee. he reached your inner thigh, and you giggled. "'ickles, Dada!" you exclaimed around your paci, and Andy chuckled.

"sorry, Bubba." he said as he switched legs, repeating the action, smiling again when you giggled at his actions again. "there, pretty girl." he said, rinsing the razor off and putting it away. "all done!"

you stood up, and rubbed your clean shaven legs together. you giggled and bounced and lifted your arms up for Andy to lift you. "t'ank you, Dada." you said, and Andy kissed your forehead, despite wanting to kiss your lips.

"you're welcome honey."

"you must sit still, flower." Geralt said, dipping the piece of metal that Geralt had sharpened and shaped into a straight razor to use on his face into a small cup of water. "i do not want you hurting yourself."

"yes, Papa." you whispered, hands curling into the material of the dress that you were wearing. you had only been with Geralt for a few weeks now, and you were still nervous around him. he was big, and you knew he could crush you without a second thought. you'd seen it with your own eyes, but you hoped he wouldn't.

he ran the razor up your leg, humming a tune as he did so. you gazed out the window of the inn, and smiled when you saw Jaskier walking back in from collecting some food from the market. you had tried the food at the inn and didn't like it, so Geralt sent the Bard on a mission to get you something you would tolerate.

"Papa," you said in your sweet voice.

"yes, my flower?" he said, looking up at you as he switched legs, a smile on his face.

"Uncle Jaskier is back," you said, and Geralt smiled.

"well, that's good. we can get your tummy full before going to bed."

you babbled around your paci as Bucky slowly shaved your legs. you were going to Bruce for some testing tomorrow, and your legs and nether region had to be free of all hair so that Bruce could get to the bottom of what happened to you.

you giggled when Bucky blew on your freshly shaved skin. he smiled up at you, and tickled your belly lightly, making you shriek in laughter. "god, i love that sound," Bucky said to himself, picking up the razor once more and working on the rest of your body as you showed him your Bucky Bear that your Uncle Tony had given you.

"Dada!" you said, his title being the only word you said. "a'Da!" you said, shoving the bear in his face.

"Plum, Daddy has to see to do this. he doesn't want to hurt you." he said, kissing your belly and angling your arms above your head as he continued to shave your legs.

"no!" you shrieked, sitting on your bum and crossing your arms. "no wanna!"

"i know, princess." August said, crouching down to eye level with you. "but we need to. you need to look professional for tomorrow." he said, dread filling his stomach at the thought of you taking the stand against that man tomorrow. "why don't you want to?" he asked softly, and you whimpered.

"'cawed." you whispered, and August sighed, sitting down and pulling you into his lap.

"my little princess." he whispered, rubbing your back. "i will not hurt you." he said, kissing your forehead. "okay, darling." Chris said, maneuvering you to sit on the closed toilet. he had just given you your first bath with him, and he was preparing to shave your legs for the first time.

he ran the shaving cream into a line, and then rubbed it in with his hands over your bare legs, glancing up at you to make sure you were still okay. "shhhh, honey," he whispered seeing your eyes welling up with tears. "'m not gonna hurt you," he promised. "'m not him, okay?"

you nodded, and suckled on your paci as hard as you could, trying to calm yourself down, your hands gripping your doll.

"gonna be so gentle." Chris said, running the razor up your leg, giving you a smile. "there, see?" he said. "one strip done!" you smiled small, and Chris felt happiness bloom in his chest.

'baby steps,' he thought to himself. 'she'll get there soon.'

Chris held onto Anthony's hand as you slowly ran the razor over Chris's beard.

"doin' so well, buddy." Anthony praised, despite the sniffles Chris was producing. "as soon as you're done shooting, you can grow it back."

Chris pouted slightly. "gon' wook ugly." he whispered, and you immediately put the razor down. you grasped his face, and made him look at you. "don't you dare say that." you said, making him shed his tears.

"you're our beautiful baby boy, no matter what." Anthony chimed in. "we both love you, so so much. get those thoughts out of your head because not a single one of them is true." he said, and leaned forward to kiss Chris. Chris sighed into the kiss and nodded when they parted.

"otay, Dada." he said, and turned to let you continue what you were doing.

"wan' off!" Bucky cried, kicking his feet and rubbing his face harshly with his flesh hand. "ah dun!"

"i know, sweet boy." you cooed, getting the razor and shaving cream out. he was having a rough day, and his sensory issues were off the charts, and he was less than a minute away from a full meltdown, which more often than not, led to a seizure. "here we go," you said, coming over to where he was plopped on the floor, his back against the wall.

you lathered his face with the shaving cream, and slowly began to shave, smiling when his tears stopped, and he began to smile, the itchy hairs falling away.

I decided to take a break from tumblr to just chill and focus on my own power and do my own thing and I wanted to update! more success stories and realizations and stuff

I've reassured myself much more about my self-concept (though it was already good to start >:3). Without the over-consumption of NG and LOA posts I started to realize that I can just relax

like when i affirmed that this person i didn't like wouldn't be there, they wouldn't. if i didn't want something to happen, it was suddenly cancelled. and i'm consciously doing this, too. when i know i want something or don't want something (near future or far future), i just know it's going to just happen as i want it (and this sounds like i'm affirming but it's a legit line of thinking i've fallen into) i've done this for "bIgGer" things too, like exact items i want with no cost at all.

and something i've noticed as i continued to shape my concept of myself and reflect on my position in my reality (as the creator) i felt like things were more? real? before i felt like i was kind of a background character, as if things were not supposed to happen to me, and (i assumed) people weren't really talking to me because they wanted to. i assumed that i was a person who didn't have what i wanted and so i felt really detached? but after i affirmed for my self concept, i suddenly started to realize like WOAH people actually see me, they think that i'm cool, i'm actually someone who's getting the school of his dreams, i'm actually living the life that i want, i'm actually being included in things. just a cool effect of SC i guess!

i've also developed my own funky way of doing visualisations and SATS and everything! for me, i hate it when i have to "force" myself to lie down and deliberately start visualising anything, even if I'm a person who could spend HOURS day dreaming (though i have a control of when to start and stop). Like there would just be a block and nothing would feel real. But I'm something of an artist myself (insert lip bite emoji here) so I draw out really simple cartoons/this tiny manga with me being in a situation that i really want, and i use natural dialogue from others to point out things about myself (or I draw out what i have). E.g. I draw myself with my ideal body and any details i want, and then i write out in a thought bubble my self concept "wow, everything really always come to me when i want it! aren't i so great lol???" and when i draw myself walking down a hall in between a situation (between me and my SP 😳), i'd draw a much shorter person than me and make them whisper to their friend "wow he's so tall!" and stuff like that. when i want to emphasize moments in first person to feel real, i just draw in my perspective, e.g. when i notice that my SP is blushing and looking at me in the eye.

It really helps cuz I always draw before bed time, and then once I've forced myself to stop drawing (cuz it's fun) i have to go sleep but i just WANNA keep focusing on that storyline i had and the feeling of being that character which is me, and i naturally start to visualise everything so naturally and without force AND ACTUALLY FEEL IT REAL! like i get actual feelings and sensations of having those things. and since i stay up until the latest possible, i don't really have to wait for the SATS state to kick in, so i just basically drew myself into the state and have the funnest time.

writing works too, sometimes i write out a scene instead, and then i go to bed daydreaming into feeling it real. i even make pinterest boards for my go-to comic of the night just for added aesthetics and more excuses for daydreaming LOL

ONE LAST THING and i hope this long ass post isn't ruining your feed or anything 😩 after having the wackiest dream about manifesting (like about god and reality and manifesting) there was a time where I was accidentally in the void state! and i didn't even want to use the void state cuz im too lazy for that shiz lmao, but here would be my description:

it's just all black but not black like the darkness in your room or the black behind your closed eyelids, it feels like you're just in some kind of space. i think i was also in sleep paralysis cuz i couldn't move. when i woke up in that state i was like oh! im in the void state! quick what do i wish for?!! what should i tell myself to give myself?!?! should i shift?!?!?!??!! and i affirmed for height, and knowing that since i was in that state it would be done (though it already was :P) and right after i affirmed it everything felt super static and weird, like i was being transported somewhere with extreme force upwards to another place, and then I felt my legs buzzing like crazy and like they were elongating, and i decided to prepare myself to go back to sleep cuz it lowkey felt really nice. i think at that point i was sleeping back into just sleeping/dreaming mode but no idea.

anyways i won't burden you with anymore text! i again wish you are doing really well and though you can do it yourself im manifesting that you get like a really tasty desert (or alternative if you don't want dessert)!

My Wangan Maxi Tune Career Returns to 2022 [Timezone Arcade Trinoma & Quantum Amusement SM North Edsa] - Part 3 (Recorded: Nov 19th, 2022)

Hey, hey! It’s me! 😁 Here’s Part 3 of my Wangan Maxi Tune Career! (This time, without paper dolls. Sorry. 😅)

• So, after my playthrough, I return to the Wangan Terminal to check some items & see if I have new stuff to claim or not. And it turns out, it does! I do have new stuff, in a form of two new cars! 😮🚘🚘The (current gen) Mazda MX-5 RF [ND] & the Nissan Fairlady Z 280Z-T (HGS130). I've already add two new cars through my garage!

Fun Fact: Originally, these two cars were debuted in Wangan Maxi 6 as purchasable by using MaxiG Points. Nowadays, they're now completely free after transferring data from Wangan Maxi 6 to 6RR, and the MaxiG points system was abolished.

• Anyways, by the time when I go to Quantum Amusement arcade (in SM North Edsa), I realized that I forgot to show ya another feature in Wangan Terminal. I could take some pictures per vehicle I've owned. However, only 3 chances to take a picture per vehicle before it runs out & calls it for another day to take more. 3️⃣📸🚗And once it's done capturing, all the images will transfer to the Wangan Navigator app. Plus, using the aforementioned app could choose to save images to phone memory 🚘🖼️📲, and the images from Wangan Navi will expire in 14 days. 🗓️❌ And remember those ghost battles & obtaining trophies I've shown ya in my first part? These also were taken from the Wangan Navi app. Love it! (Here's an example ↓)

• Unfortunately, not all vehicles that I've been taken. Because my Impreza GRB, the Silvia S15, and two Mitsubishi Lan Evos (No. 8 & No. 9) are not featured in my album (from Wangan Navi app). Despite their inactive, I hadn't touch on, them ever since.

• Let's dive into some more details about the Wangan Navigator app, shall we? To be clear, I haven't touched my Wangan Navi app, ever since I downloaded it in 2019. Following the debut of Wangan Maxi 6. This app was still on my Honor 8C phone, and it remain inactive, until 2022. Right now, my Wangan Navi app has finally alive, after 3 years. Heck, I even re-link my BANAPASSPORT ID card after transferring data to get my wangan account working.

• Case in point, here are my activities when using the app. [1st phone screenshot] Such as unlocking license parts by earning miles, [2nd, 3rd, 4th & 6th phone screenshots] scratching the ticket (they call it the "Navi Scratch-Off") to unlock new titles, etc... Although, if someone is lucky enough to get a car with full tuned, which by the way, to get a scratch ticket you need to play Wangan Maxi arcade three times, [5th phone screenshot] and finally check stats on my garage. Yup, me & Spot's Impreza and broke our winning streaks. [7th to 9th phone screenshots] And finally, the "ticket box". To claim any tickets, you must earn a 1000-mile goal to accumulate a random ticket; whether its a "Name Change", a "VS Player Free Continue", a "Full Tune Build", a "Discarded Vehicle Card", or a "100 Miles Ticket". The latter of whom I used to have three "100 Mile Tickets", and now I've only one left. As I used 2 tickets to obtain six new license parts.

• [10th & 11th phone screenshots] Another obtain ticket after reaching 1000 miles is the "VS Player Continue" ticket. This will allow me to continue or rather rematch the VS player mode without spending numerous arcade tokens (or swipe amount if you're at the Timezone arcade). [12th & 13th phone screenshots] Here's another example of claiming license parts from earning miles, I've got three items parts for customizing "My Page". Which I'll show it to ya, right now. ↓

• Welcome to the so-called "My Page". On my original 2019 version (from the other side blog), it's completely blanked & nothing else on the inventory list. Nowadays, after I claimed some license parts & taking snapshots of vehicles, the so-called "My Page" has finally alive! 🚘💮😁Here, I could choose any parts from earning miles, showing off my car name, the actual car I used, and finally the background, which is also obtained from earning miles. Ah yeah, I can also save my current "My Page". Like this. ↓ (pls see my downloaded image)

Important Note: To unlock the vehicle without background for "My Page", you need to go to the Wangan Terminal & tap your existing game ID card. Then go to your "Garage", pick a vehicle, tap the "Take Photo Background", tap "Toggle Off" to remove the background, and then take a snapshot (from front to rear if you so desire). 🙂

• My Wangan account has finally been alive, both in-game & on the app. 😊 And don't worry about my other cars (from the likes of Impreza GRB, Silvia S15, and two Lan Evos), I'll take care of them when the time is right. 😉 For now, I'll be focused on three cars (My 350Z, and the Speedster Twins' Imprezas) that need to be done by finishing the "Story Mode" to unlock the full 840 HP/horsepower (the final level) potential. This might take a while, and I gonna need a ton of tokens to finish the "Story Mode" per vehicle. Plus, the unlock color for Riya's Impreza, too. 🖌️🔵🚙

Loki, BioShock, and 8 Years

Wow, goodness. What a morning I've had. What a rollercoaster of journey I've just gone through to get to- Well, you'll see.

I don't normally make posts (normally bc I don't have anything to say) but this is too good to pass on. Tagging @helshades bc this directly involves you and I don't necessarily know if Tumblr will catch it way further down in the post so tagging you now. Also, you all will have to bear with me and my long rambling post. I was not lying when I said it was a journey of a morning.

To set the stage, this morning... did not start off pleasantly, I'll be honest. Period cramps and the limbo feeling of wanting to be awake but wanting to desperately lie down and curl up was the beginning of this day. But stay up I did. Thankfully.

To cheer myself I weirdly and randomly decided to listen to some of Postmodern Jukebox. (Yes, this important.) And bc of their usual old-timey sound they go for, my brain connected old-timey music to other old-timey music/vibes I'm familiar with.

Enter BioShock. I've personally started working on an old Minecraft project that's for a friend. A BioShock (Infinite/Burial At Sea) puzzle map with a story. So I started listening to more and more. Which led me to switching from PMJ to Robyn Adele Anderson (who used to work with PMJ until after her break up with the founder and then started her own YouTube and retro-fitting music cover career) and hearing her cover of Honeysuckle Rose.

Which, if there's anything that I love, it's a good romance song. To add to my romantic f/o (aka: comfort character ) playlist. Who's my romantic f/o? Who else other than the one and only MCU trickster?

The only character I have loved and attached myself to so dearly for many, many a year. All since Thor 1. (Okay, timing with this one is a little wonky, so quick explanation here. It's actually when Avengers 1 came out but I watched Captain America and then Thor 1 at home the weekend the Avengers 1 movie came out. And then saw the latter movie soon after. Pls dont revoke my Loki fan-card. I swear, I've been there since basically the beginning.🤣)

Something that's also important to know about me is that currently... I have a problem. An AU-making problem. 😅😅😅

First, Wandavision with Loki and my self-insert. Lately, it's cowboys and the Old West with Loki and my self-insert. (Two different versions, I might add to highlight my clear AU-making addiction.) Today it's a BioShock-esque story. With Loki and, you guessed it, my self-insert character.

And what is a BioShock story without it's breathtaking, awe-inspiring city? And what is Loki without his home of Asgard? To combine the two and make it work, I need to know what architecture the MCU Asgard(s) are based on/inspired by.

A quick google search of "mcu asgard architecure inspired by" brings up two different Helshades posts. Ah, yes! Helshades! I remember them!

When it comes to MCU Asgard world-building stuff, I know only two blogs to go to from years and years ago when I first discovered them. That is, I know they exist. I usually forget the usernames lol. Sorry, Helshades. It's been a long while. (The other blog is exploringmcuasgard fyi. I have their blog pulled up and will comb through it in a minute once I'm done with this post and finished combing Helshades' Asgard architecture tag.)

So, as mentioned already, I start chronologically from the beginning of Helshades' Asgard architecture tag, going through and scanning the paragraphs of each post's texts looking for names of architecture movements.

I've found one btw! Through all the Thor 1 architecture posts is the name Deconstructivism! Successful so far!

But there was more than one Thor movie, if you remember. And more than one version/interpretation of the city of Asgard.

So onto posts about the Asgard seen in the Thor 2 trailer! The first one is fine and good. The second one...

starts with a note. A dedication to a 400th follower. Oh nice. A 400th follower with the name-

IM SORRY- WHAT???!!??

For those who don't know, a very long time ago I used to have the username, Egoimperiiruina. (A username I have somewhat recently reclaimed after someone else took it and now hold as a subblog to do... something with it in the future.😉)

And back then (as I mentioned earlier) I loved Loki and Asgard and the whole "Thor" side of the MCU franchise. (Which... honestly, and, very sadly, cannot be said now. *le deep fucking sigh in utter disappointment and disgust towards current MCU and Taika Waititi/Mike Waldron*

And this shows clearly here in this note where I apparently was on a Helshades post spree for costume designs. (This may have been for a fic I started and never continued (for awhile! I'll eventually get to it!) a long time ago with the temp name Asgardian Dreams, looking over Asgardian costumes references to get an idea for Vanir fashion that could look similar to Asgardian/Loki. Surprisingly, enough, not for a self-insert. Well, kinda. lmao)

But you might be wondering, this is a great find and what not, but you didn't see this before? Nope. Not once. Weird too because I have in the past occasionally looked to see all the posts that mentioned me via my old username and current one.

But the best part? Honestly, what makes it for me now, is that not only does Helshades say that I, and, I quote, "should welcome an architecture-oriented entry [of theirs] with a similar enthusiasm"- Which, yes. Very much the same amount of enthusiasm, still going strong after all these years. Especially after all the ridiculous nonsense given to us old Loki fans from Ragnarok to his quote-unquote namesake show (can't convince me that's even close to the same Loki I've known all this time nope!).

It's that this post is 8 friggin years old *and* they said the above.

You know what, Helshades? You were right.
