OKAY SO HEAR ME OUT RIGHT? FUCK MORI'S ATELIER!CHUUYA, HOW ABOUT BRIMMED HATS!CHUUYA!?

i love this one, but i also have a somewhat chuuya bias (though sigma's the one true bias i have) so that might be why, also the outfit. chuuya had a few concept designs, that i tore outta my sketchbook and threw away 🤩🤩

anyways pretty men (i guess?) out of the way let's talk about the character and outfit!! outfit first though because i love it!!!/pos but like you might wanna play some close attention to how words are used in some of the notes because they hold a bit of lore, not a lot, but still enough lore<33

outfit notes;

i tried theming the hat after the anti-mindcontrol hat he wears in a sense, but still making it look like a hat one of the brimmed hats would wear

the coat he's wearing was verlaine's, he's not wearing it like a proper coat, but neither did verlaine, and you have to make sacrifices for fashion

the brimmed hat tattoo symbol thingie??? i cant remember what it is but it's hiding under chuuya's gloves

the thing with a handle on the belt thing is not a knife, it's the special writing tool necessary for one to use magic!! the inkpot is in the pouch

outfit has darker colors (i.e; black, dark grey, dark reds, and white)

the swirls that appear throughout his outfit are supposed to represent the Corruption aspect for BSD!chuuya's ability

AND NOW FOR THE STORY CRUMBS;

he was friends with the flags, who studied in moris's atelier, but after their death he disappeared

he thinks all magic should be able to be used, as it only depends on how one uses it. his way of thinking with this is basically "so a few people used healing magic for nefarious purposes, why can't others use it because of that? not being able to use it only brings people both emotional and physical pain, all of which is permanent. if people wanted to use healing magic, they should be properly trained on how to use it" except he probably wouldn't put it as nicely as i had written–

also soukoku doesn't exist, dazai and chuuya don't know each other as chuuya was never part of mori's atelier. sorry but not really to soukoku fans<3 /lh
