Run Away from Your Problems Chapter 5

Nero x reader

Summary: So that pining wasn’t for nothing, after all.

Word Count: 1659

By the time she reached her room, Nero was lying on the floor with her spare blanket draped over him. He was still awake but clearly lost in thought based off the way he was staring slightly cross-eyed at the wall.

“You okay?” she asked, instantly worried about her friend/crush. It had to be pretty impactful (in both good and bad ways) to have his uncle and father back so abruptly.

He blinked with a sharp inhale that quickly turned into a sigh. “Yeah. Just weird having them back.” Well, at least that confirmed her thoughts.

“Well if that’s all,” she decided the best course of action to at least get through the night was to act like it was not a big deal and hope he would follow her guidance, “get the hell out of the floor. You’re sleeping on the bed, dumbass.”

He couldn’t help but bark a laugh at her bluntness. “Alright, alright. I didn’t want to assume.”

When he stood, part of Y/N was sad to see that he’d donned a t-shirt before coming to her room. The sight of him annoyed and shirtless had been one she was enjoying back in the living room. “Get comfy; the side by the wall is mine.” Perhaps she should have thought about how exactly she was going to get into that spot before she said that . . . Deciding that it was too late to worry about that, she went about changing into some night clothes.

While it’d been years since they were in the Order, it appeared Y/N never lost her shameless habit of changing in front of others, and given his feelings for the woman Nero found this little quirk of hers to be highly distracting. He tried to look away respectfully, but the sight of her stripping down to her underwear with her back to him tested his self-control and his ability to keep his blood flowing normally instead of focusing in his dick. It only got worse when she donned a large shirt he was pretty sure had been his at some point; the sight of her in his clothes was apparently a newfound kink of his. Oblivious to his watchful eyes, she put on a pair of sleep shorts to at least pretend to be modest while sleeping.

The heated look in Nero’s eyes when she turned around surprised her. It immediately reminded her of the look Dante would get right before yanking her to him and bending her over the desk, but that clearly couldn’t be the case with Nero. Her denial insisted that she was misunderstanding his expression, so she simply ignored it. There was simply no way that sort of expression would ever be meant from her coming from Nero.

Then came her struggle about how to get on the bed. She quickly settled on making him move since it would be the easiest, least embarrassing option. “Okay, you giant, move your legs so I can get up.”

“Just crawl over ‘em,” he whined. Really, the words left his mouth before the full implication of them occurred to him. If he didn’t move . . . how would she . . .

His train of thought was viciously derailed by slapping his stomach. “Lazy ass,” she muttered while starting to awkwardly get to her spot.

“And yet you love me anyway.”

The phrasing of that little taunt made her freeze where she was: straddling his thighs. In hindsight it was hilarious how much like a nighttime drama the whole scene was, but right then she didn’t realize. She could only stare at him with wide eyes while assessing whether or not he was being serious.

Meanwhile, Nero was trying his damnedest not to grab her hips and pull her up the last few inches so she’d be astride his. While he certainly wasn’t complaining about the view, it made his mind start to wander into not-so-friendly territory. Eventually, he managed to drag his thoughts out of the gutter enough to roll so that she was tossed off his legs into her spot.

“You call me lazy and then you can’t even be bothered to finish getting on the bed on your own? Shameful,” he teased, trying to lighten the mood and steer the conversation clear of the obvious tension that’d just taken hold. Thinking either with his dick or about how absolutely terrified she’d looked would surely land him in trouble, so he tried to avoid those situations altogether.

“Um, yeah . . .” she said lamely. There were several moments of awkward silence between the two that consisted of them just watching each other. She didn’t even settle into the bed; she just kept sitting atop the covers with her legs criss-crossed. “You sure you’re okay now that they’re back?” He’s acting weird because of them. That has to be it.

It was endearing, the way she went from frightened to being concerned about him. Of his body’s own accord, Nero found himself sitting up and resting his forehead against hers. “I’m fine, Y/N. Just a lot on my mind.”

She closed her eyes, unable to meet the intensity of his gaze. By all rights, the color of them should make their stare icy, but the warmth that was there as he looked at her made her shiver all the same. It’d been a while since they’d done this, but the position brought out that old temptation to pull him into a kiss all the same.

Lucky for her, Nero was feeling a similar pull, and he lacked the ironclad self-control she’d had for almost twenty years. He found himself leaning in those last few inches and pressing his lips to hers before he really thought about the potential consequences of the action. Well there went that plan, he thought but couldn’t really find it within himself to care as his hand slipped up to cup the back of her head.

Y/N jerked away in surprise, hand coming up to rest on his chest as if to push him away. His grip on her head kept her from getting more than a few inches away. “Nero, what the hell?” she panted. Her heart was beating an embarrassingly fast rhythm that he could no doubt feel at such a simple kiss.

Those blue eyes widened dramatically at her words. “I shouldn’t have done that. I’m sorry; I’ll go crash on the couch or something.”

Y/N’s hand clenching in his shirt kept him from going anywhere despite the attempted movement to leave. “No, you’re not going anywhere. What was that about? I know you miss Kyrie, but--”

“I don’t,” he cut her off, “miss her. That’s not . . .” he sighed, trying to grasp for the words he needed. “That’s not what that was about.”

“Then what was it about?”

His hand came up to scratch at his nose; the old tick showed just how nervous he was. She thought he managed to shake that ages ago. “I, uh, I didn’t want you to think this was about her. We weren’t joking when we said it was completely mutual when we broke up. I’ve . . . realized lately . . .God this isn’t as easy as it was when I was a teenager. How does that make any sense? I like you a lot more than as just a friend, okay? I think I have for a long time.”

She was speechless. She’d heard Dante heckle him over the years, but teasing was one thing. This was something completely different. Her free hand drifted up to cup his cheek. It was the only thing she could manage to do that wasn’t just staring at him in complete awe.

“I know you and Dante have . . . whatever it is, and I don’t want to come between you guys if you don’t feel the same. I just suck at ignoring my feelings as you probably know, and--”

Y/N cut him off this time by pressing her lips to his. It only took a couple seconds for him to realize what was going on and become an active participant. That one kiss became two became ten. None were particularly raunchy, but it was a collection of separate little kisses connected by the fact that both of them kept leaning in for more. Several minutes passed before they could pull themselves apart.

Once they weren’t connected at the lips anymore, Y/N felt an embarrassed little grin start to spread across her lips, prompting her to bite her bottom lip to try and stop its spread.

“Hey stop that,” Nero protested, using his thumb to run along her lip. “That’s my job.”

“Not even ten minutes, and you’re already making assumptions,” she teased after nipping his thumb.

“But you’re not arguing,” he pointed out. “So I’m guessing you feel the same way?”

Y/N rolled her eyes. “Yes, Nero, I like-like you. I don’t just go around kissing everyone I meet.”

“Well, you kissed Dante so many times,” he teased, a smile of his own causing the corner of his mouth to curl up. The gradeschool phrasing of her feelings for him made him chuckle under his breath. “But good, ‘cause now you’re stuck with me.” The ensuing kiss was one of those where neither of them could stop smiling, so it ended up with a lot of lip-to-tooth contact.

And it abruptly came to an end when Y/N had to jerk away so she didn’t yawn directly into Nero’s mouth which seemed to amuse the man greatly.

“Okay, sleepyhead,” he chuckled. “Time for all humans to go to bed.”

“You need sleep, too, jackass,” she gambled.

“Just turn over so I can cuddle you.”

“Fine, but we’ve gotta talk about all this tomorrow.” She might have sounded grumpy about being told to go to bed, but she’d be damned if she didn’t enjoy how it felt when his arm wrapped around her to pull her back flush to his chest.

“Sleep, Y/N.”

1. Unpopular opinion. I think the current Robron sl would be somehow bearable for me personally without all this "they are the love of each others`s lives" discourse composed by the show and its producer. It really scares me that they will be together no matter what even if the show fails to resolve all this mess in a good way. I feel like they are not meant to be together but they are doomed to be together.

2. But I think both Aaron and Robert deserve to have a choice. I would prefer them to break up than to stick together and be miserable and absolutely OOC. I don`t want the show to ruin the characters for the sake of the popular relationship. I know many people like them together and I like them together but it`s becoming absurd and suffocating. I have some thoughts on Robron dymanics.

3. What I dislike the most is that they are portrayed as teenage guys who make “stupid mistakes” (Robert is 31!!!) not as adults who make life choices and are held responsible for them. I really want ED to let them grow uo together or by their own or in relationships with other people. If we can`t save Robron let`s try to save Aaron and Robert.

I’m very much a member of the “Aaron and Robert are the loves of each other’s life” clan, so I’m afraid you’re not really going to find any reprieve from that discourse on this blog, anon. But I would say I think this ideology is from a combination of sources. Yes, the onscreen narrative is very much depicting this view, allowing any general audience viewer to see just how deep and intense the connection between Robron is (and this to me is what makes them stand out from so many other soap couples; that’s what contributes to the longevity of Robron, ensuring their place among the most-loved and iconic couples in soap history), but there have been two producers during this time and both have contributed to this angle. But the reason why it might feel overbearing to some is because it isn’t just stemming from the show, it’s constantly hyped up by others - the fandom, the media playing to the fandom, and the actors themselves (Danny and Ryan have both described Aaron and Robert as “soulmates”. Ryan even first said it back in 2015.). And while I understand and appreciate that many are finding this storyline unbearable, I have to say that - despite the fact that I’d rather this particular plot point hadn’t had to happen - for the moment I’m actually looking forward to seeing how this all plays out. For me, personally, there’s no question that this mess will be resolved in a way fitting to the characters. But then, that might be an unpopular opinion too, who knows.

I agree they deserve to have a choice over whether or not they want to be together but, for me personally, they’ve already had that choice time and time again. That’s why they’ve constantly come back to each other over the past two and a half years. Not just because they’re inexplicably drawn to each other, because they’re meant to be together, but because they choose each other every time. If this does result in a break up, which I’m not sure about, I think it will be very short-lived, because I believe they’ll choose to be together like always.

Personally, I don’t feel like the characters have been OOC at all (unlike a few occasions with Robert in 2015, shall we say!). I can see where you’re coming from with the dynamics, though. I think what you’re describing as “suffocating” is being addressed through the depiction of their dependency on each other. At the risk of repeating myself because I’ve said this a lot over the past few weeks haha, I genuinely do believe addressing this overwhelming reliance (which some could see as unhealthy) on each other is the whole point of this storyline. I believe they will tackle this, face on, but together. As for them being portrayed as teenagers, I do see your point but, to me, I feel like they’re being portrayed as human. We’ve all got flaws, and this storyline is to confront both of theirs. I do think that perhaps there are two contributing factors to what you describe as a “teenage” feel, though:

Their childhoods. Completely different, of course, but ultimately both lacking any significant amount of parental support and guidance. They were both abandoned, neglected and rejected. They didn’t have that person who was supposed to love them unconditionally and guide them as they grew up. And they both always wanted that. They saw their siblings have it, and they wanted it, too. Maybe there’s a part of them still clinging on to that child in their subconscious, desperate for that parental comfort and reassurance they never got back then. And maybe that’s why they so easily forgive and accept each other’s flaws. Because no one ever showed them where they were going wrong, they simply turned their backs. No one else ever offered them that comfort and reassurance, so that’s what they give to each other. It really depends how deep we want to take the psychoanalysis.

We’ve never seen either of them stand on their own two feet. I mean long-term. Of course, we don’t know exactly what Robert was up to for nine years, but we didn’t see it regardless. So my point is this: Ever since 2014 there has been some older figure constantly hovering behind their shoulders, holding each of them up and steering them along - Chas, Paddy, Lawrence, Chrissie. We have never seen Aaron and Robert just be them, without the interference of somebody else. But this is why their moving into the Mill will completely change the dynamics - in fact allowing us to actually see the dynamics of Robron’s relationship, on their own for the first time - and I cannot tell you how excited I am for this, anon.

To me personally, they’ve been growing up individually ever since they got together. They are enabling and encouraging each other to grow up. That’s just my own opinion, but the Aaron and Robert I see now are not the Aaron and Robert I watched grow up as I grew up myself. They haven’t changed, but they have grown - but primarily, with the help of each other. I’ve also said this a lot, but what separating them achieved was stripping them down to their core as individuals and that resulted in us seeing them reverting back to the Aaron and Robert of old through their self-destructive behaviour. So their growth individually is largely tied together through their relationship - because they’ve helped each other grow - and I believe the plan is now to break that synonymy, so that the character development isn’t dependent upon the relationship itself. So that way the relationship and the character growth can both co-exist, but as entities in their own right.

Ultimately, it’s up to the show to “save” Robron and the characters. They have a vision and, however vocal fans may be about storylines, essentially audience input can only ever influence the way in which certain aspects of this vision are carried out. The show’s vision is always the show’s vision, and we just have to roll with it. But, personally, I’m not at the stage yet where I feel like Robron need “saving”, together or individually. I’m really just waiting to see how it all plays out…

Negrek Finishes Gates to Infinity

Okay, so a while back I started playing through Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity after @phoenixkratos generously loaned it to me.

Overall, I'd say this is probably the clunkiest entry in the PMD series, but it doesn't deserve the hate it gets. It's clearly rushed and in the ugly-duck stage of transitioning from 2D sprites to full 3D, but there are the seeds of a great game here. I actually finished the main storyline quite a while back, up to the point where the protagonist inevitably returns to the human world and the credits roll; just recently I picked it up to finish things up to the point where the protagonist inevitably returns to the world of pokémon. Full, spoiler-y thoughts under the cut. (Apologies for weird typos, my keyboard's inexplicably sticky all of a sudden.)

I'll start with the story, since I think that's what most people play the PMD series for, and I think they definitely took things in an interesting direction with this game. As usual, there's some cataclysmic world-ending event about to go down, courtesy legendary pokémon, but the source of the trouble this time around is very different than in previous PMD titles. Rather than being some external force, like a meteorite or out-of-control legendary pokémon, the culprit here is in a sense the common pokémon themselves: their despair and cynicism has manifested as the world-destroying bittercold that threatens to plunge everything into darkness forever. As the bittercold grows, its influence feeds into the very feelings that first spawned it, causing pokémon to distrust one another and grow ever more disconnected and sorrowful

At least, well, that's what the story wants to sell you on. My biggest criticism of the game is that the supposed dissolution of pokémon society just isn't actually there in the way the game plays out. The pokémon of Post Town are generally friendly, hospitable types, and despite having supposedly given up hope, they put an awful lot of faith in an overenthusiastic pikachu and his best bud.

Things start off great with an introductory mission where you confront Gurrdurr, who was injured in an accident, became unable to work, and turned to crime out of bitterness and desperation. Like, that's actually a really mature and nuanced plotline for a pokémon game, or most video games, period? Way better than fighting some generic evil-just-because bandits, and it plays right into the game's theme of pokémon having given up and turned their backs on one another out of despair.

The issue is... that's the only mission you actually get like that. The rest are pretty standard adventure fare, with rescues and treasures and explorations to be had. And it would have been easy to make things feel more genuinely cynical. For example, what if instead of taking Umbreon in and healing him up, he'd instead come to the town begging for help, and the townsfolk had turned him away, being distrustful of outsiders, and the player/partner had had to go out and rescue him and Espeon despite their disapproval? What if they rejected the whole notion of the Entercards and refused to help the players/eeveelutions with their quest, on the basis of it being pointless, with only a couple exceptions? Ultimately, Post Town as presented in the game is just too supportive and welcoming a place for me to buy that pokémon society is in any way fallen apart. I mean, they're complaining about their literal happiness rainbows disappearing. And I mean, that's sad and all, but really, now. If Chunsoft had really committed to the narrative the games were trying to pitch, it could have been soooo gooood. But they weren't willing to go all the way, and as a result I think it just doesn't work.

I also didn't care for the heel-face turn of the villains towards the end of the series. Again, if you're going to have me buy that munna and company were really devoted to each other and had decided that the world was too sick to go on, but at least they could all face the end together, you need to actually have some scenes with the villains cackling at each other and chasing the player character down and acting generically evil. Like, even just something like the heros manage to . And again, if they actually could have SHOWN the dynamic between munna and her companions at work instead of just mentioning it when the villains needed redeeming, it would have been soooo gooood. I honestly think a fanfic following the basic plot of the game but actually making all the informed attributes visible in the narrative could be really, really good.

I was also a little disappointed by the fact that we never got much of an explanation of what the partner's deal was. There were some hints that his past wasn't very happy at all, and that he was kind of clinging to the whole "paradise" idea as a way of coping with that, but iirc that never actually went anywhere. And I don't think it needed to, necessarily--I think little hints here and there could paint a really sad picture without wallowing in "and then his twelve brothers and sisters were left destitute on the streets and three of them died horribly of pneumonia" or whatever. (Alternatively this was resolved somehow and I just completely forgot about it, which probably means it didn't have the impact I presume the writers would have wanted it to have.)

I mean, I know, looking for subtlety or nuance in a pokémon game storyline, but they were so close! Come on, guys, you could totally have pulled this one off!

Also, a small thing that bugged me was the whole "Hydreigon as spirit of life" or whatever that was. It seemed out of place for a pokémon game, like I don't think we've previously seen any sort of direct evidence for mystical, god-like forces outside legendary pokémon. I don't know why this guy couldn't have just been an ordinary hydreigon who happens to know about the connection between the human and pokémon worlds.

I did find the route they took with the player character's role interesting; very meta. Like, the player is only one of many humans in the world, and they're also LITERALLY YOU, not some character who's turned into a pokémon for reasons, but literally a person interacting with the pokémon world through the medium of the 3DS. The fourth-wall-breaking in the epilogue kind of weirded me out, but it just unsettles me in general when game characters turn and stare directly at you through the screen, aaaa. (Ghost Trick being the game that most freaks me out with this, of course.) But this was the first PMD game to try and address things like, doesn't the player miss their friends and family back in the human world? And overall I think it was well done.

On the mechanics side, I found this game to be incredibly easy. However, my team was also axew/pikachu, and I'm made to understand that axew is easy mode par excellence. Low-level dragon dance and dual chop is absolutely absurd, and beating Kyurem in two attacks was a little anticlimactic. But assuming the difficulty is more reasonable if you choose something like oshawott or snivy, then that's fine--although I like the personality quiz, having a sort of easily accessible "selectable difficulty" option is a good thing, although it would be nice if it were more clear which were the hard vs easy picks. (Okay, I know, I know, dragon, but still.)

I'm of two minds about the fact that inactive party members gain experience along with the active party. On the one hand, the total lack of grinding is pretty cool. On the other, it means that once any of your team gets too high-leveled for a certain level of dungeon/mission, then there's never going to be any challenge in playing that kind of mission again, because all of your pokémon will completely curbstomp it with no problem. And although they did a good job of speeding up the EXP-gain process once an underleveled pokémon actually gets to a dungeon, it's still a pain to have to click through party members learning eight new moves and evolving at the start of an expedition. On the whole I think it's a good thing, but it did irritate me at times.

The speed-up inside dungeons is mostly welcome, too, but combined with the changed field of view it often resulted in my last partner cheerfully wandering off to die and me not noticing until I'm all the way across the map because my character's dashing like a maniac. This became much less of a problem once I discovered reunion scarves and the fact that even equipping them from the other side of the dungeon will zap a wayward party member back to their rightful place, but for a while there I was rather stressed about keeping track of my party members at all times.

One common complaint I saw about the game was that there wasn't much pokémon variety. I didn't think this would bother me much, personally, but I actually found it very noticeable. Although there's a pretty large absolute number of species available (around 100, I think), when you consider how many different species are necessary to round out a dungeon, and then how many dungeons you'll go through over the course of the game, the lack of variety really does become noticeable. This was especially an issue for me at the beginning of the game, where a couple particularly irritating species (looking at you, litwick and klink) were EVERYWHERE. It meant that different dungeons felt same-y, even if the environment tiles were quite different. It didn't help that the pokémon are very heavy on Unovan lines, which by and large aren't my favorites.

Also the text speed... there is no effing excuse for the slow, fixed text speed. Same deal as with SuMo there. The cutscenes did not need to be longer!

But all in all I think the mechanics were an improvement over previous incarnations, and even the storyline, to some extent. It was just the blatant unfinished nature of the game and a couple seriously irritating elements that got introduced as a result that stopped it from being a top-tier entry in the series. It's disappointing, really, because I think they were trying to do something different and cool with this one, and just couldn't commit enough time and attention to make it work.

Monthly Thoughts 2017

Déjà Vu Déjà Vu

There are theories of déjà vu: a warning, a sign, lack of vitamins, a glitch in the matrix. Either way, I get them constantly and highly believe they are a sign, I just have no idea what for.

Listening to a podcast (one of my favorite things right now) called rabbits (which I highly recommend). Anyway, it talked about the way that there are things constantly repeating. Always hearing the same song, keep seeing the name of a similar street so on, were checkpoints in the game of life. I absolutely loved that idea because it´s completely different from what it feels like, which is being in a rut.

Similar to Déja Vu, you can only really trust yourself. Repeated events could be a metaphorical key such as a video game that helps you discover new worlds.

Horoscopes & Signs

I read my horoscope, usually, when I'm uncertain - will my choices help me out? Am I making the right decision for a better future? Is my luck going to stay the same?

Is it easy to make good decisions? -no, is it easy making bad decisions? -yes. Is it easy to know the difference? -almost impossible. We seek help, so we find religion, clubs, friends, guides, therapy that fit our predetermined thinking.

Horoscopes. I kept a clipping in specific that stated that in may I would have a kid - the same year/month my baby was born. I just think of the process with the publisher - really? it needs to be more general, so people can identify more. and the writer was determined that all Leos would have children.

I kept it, and constantly check out my horoscope even though when I don´t even believe in the calendar, it doesn't make sense. Why isn´t it better 13 months that divide almost perfectly into 28 days? Better all around, but no, its randomly divided days in 12 months. So if I don´t believe in a calendar, how can I believe in horoscopes- I think its a sign from the universe.

Dogs

In Mexico, dogs are very important.

In the city they are considered family, you get them everything you think they might need to be happy and safe.

In little towns, they are mostly considered as protection.

In the last big earthquake 19S, they are considered heroes.

I have had dogs before, but never to the extent of loving them so much.

When you have kids they are great, its a way to teach them big things in a simpler cuter note:

-even though you mess up, I'll still love you.

-you need to be firm for their own good

-just cause you can't be with them all the time it doesn´t mean you don´t love them.

-and other types of stuff like the birds and the bees when you have to take them to the vet and such.

My dogs love us and would protect us from anything. Which is also nice.

Seeing the world be more and more into animals, also is a way of accepting that we are not the center of the universe. We are in all of this together.

Earthquake

It´s been two days since the earthquake, I think I'm finally coming out of the shock. I every now and then feel like crying. Up to now, all I have done is reposted things. It´s taking me a while to feel, whatever I'm feeling.

I'm heartbroken and sad, and scared and still, I can't believe that has happened.

What has been the silver lining is that each day, more and more people are realizing that they are the change. Not the government.

There were some people trying to take advantage of the situation, but the numbers of the good heavily outweighed those of the bad.

There are true heroes, humans, and dogs in this city that the only thing that was needed was the same community that made the advances possible.

Our moral compass // humanity outweighed any other element that could have gotten in the way.

If only that is how we kept on living, helping each other, and of course why not, accepting help from others.

The heroes were people that would help move parts of the fallen buildings, doctors giving free treatment, donations up to where the eye could see, blood donators, so on.

Before that the unseen heroes were/are the ones that made sure that the buildings that were up to protocol despite if there was a law or not defending it. Companies that would do the emergency drills not only the ones by law but to really make sure everyone would be ready.

Making sure the companies that could help were available for business for when this happened and trusting them to be there for just these type of situations. (all the restaurants, big and street vendors, tool stores big and small, vets, doctors, etc)

We are our government

we vote with what we consume.

Tests

I find tests absolutely useless.

In no part of life, you have to remember anything. Especially now.

You do have to know how to use the information given to you.

It stresses you, and the worst part is - you most likely will forget everything sooner than later.

How to prove if someone did learn? Trial and error, and repeat till you have the best response.

Trick tests questions are the worst - double negatives, always and never - not the full truth.

They don´t help at all. Its as if every single test is really just an English (or whatever language the test is) test.

It´s been a while, but the time has come to feel that I get myself.

Pressure and motivation to give my kid a better life. The Calmness of getting here so far and fear of not getting further.

Imagining all I would change if I could know all I know when I was 10. Mostly talking to people to help them not make such downward spiral decisions that started so young.

Worry less, no "diets" more exercise. Learn more. Let go at the right time, not get caught up in the trends. pretty much sums it up.

Disconnected.

Each time I spend less and less time online for personal purposes. I don´t have my personal social media on my phone. I work quite a lot so when I´m connected, it's for something else.

I catch up every now and then, a way to let my mind wander, but it´s not really real-time thoughts. More like a documentary of what's been going on. A way to prove that I thought of this first.

Me time, I can say, disconnected to enjoy the moment and connected to remember those times.

Pets

I highly recommend having pets, not just having them, but making them part of the family.

They care for you and they make you learn simple stuff.

It´s quite impressive how my pets get me more than at least 90% of the people I know. Without speaking a word. It´s lovely.

They teach us and the people they live with some of life's difficult conversation starters, without the words.

I truly enjoy not talking, gets in the way, and it gets misunderstood way too easy.

The more you grow, the more you realize that people understand and hear what they want, from what they have gone on - nothing to do with whatever you might say or do.

You have to take things as they come - from what people think and what they have learned.

You can see that in bullies, of how their family life treats them. That´s what they are used to.

Pets don´t have that baggage and if they do, they get rid of it quite quickly.

Grateful

Every day, more and more, I feel more grateful.

It´s sad to see how many people live, and the things they have to go through.

I´m lucky to say I have my health (at least my urgent visits to the doctor are less and less). I have the gift of learning, where I can not only learn, but apply everything to everything.

I have my needs met, and I feel satisfied with my life.

How, in the world, and this is how this -JDV- started, can we get more people to live this way. A better education, a chance, a helping hand, trust, whatever it is, I know it is not one man's job, but everybody's - and it is up to all of us to help at least a bit one person.
