#my brother and i missed maybe the first half hour? but we caught from the murder attempt on#THAT WAS. SO MANY TWISTS. SO MANY TURNS. AND HUME CRONYN WAS THERE#and leon ames!!!!!#i do not know if i liked it. enchanted by whatever the hell hume cronyn and leon ames' characters had going on though.#although it also fills in some of the pieces in my head about what on earth james m cain was going for in his work.#reminded me a lot of double indemnity the novel (not double indemnity the movie) although i do now wonder#about postman novel/movie differences if there are any.....#my brother: ive heard the novel is very lurid.#me: ?????????? even by noir standards?????
