#my heart hurts for fans STILL doing the mental gymnastics with jensen's answer to remain hopeful and optimistic#i do fully believe that spn baked the (queerbait) romance in way too hard for it to make any sense that the feeling weren't reciprocated#BUT i also believe that's entirely what Jensen tried to convey in his reaction to the confession (''sorry dude i'm straight'')#and that misha's reaction went along with it#(in the microexpressions of it all)#i feel that response was pre-negotiated and conditional for the confession to even happen. to maintain jensen's version of dean#and I don't see that level of determined cognitive dissonance that jensen has with his character changing anytime soon#unless he gets really really broke like with all his kids going to college or something#also not sure pinning hopes on certain writers is any better#anyway I'm sure no-one needs my negativity#but I hope people find a way to break out of this toxic cycle soon#and move on to media and creators that deserve them#the only reason I would ever go to an spn convention is to meet the fanfic writers and fanartists that changed my life#they're the ones with the talent deserving of this devotion#i hope I meet them again one day in another fandom more worthy of them#take care everyone
