So, i was about to make a post about it myself, but i decided to ask you instead: How will Andy's final death look like?
Given that Undead Unluck is described by a narration box as a story about MC's quest for "the greatest death ever, not once, not twice, but it was now chosen to be the final line of every epiosde of the anime... I think this might genuinly be the entire driving force behind the story. That Tozuka really does want to write the greatest death scene ever, and Undead Unluck is the result of that desire.
Now, the question is: How will this happen? Fuuko yeeting her boyfriend at the Sun during final ragnarok? Andy growing old with Fuuko and dying of old age, surrounded by friends and family? SEX SCENE???? (probably not, but the possibilty of that is very funny to me)
Im pondering this question, becuase on one hand i want AnFuu to live happily ever after as they deserve it. On the other, im sucker for tearjerking scenes, and Andy having a grand epic death would emotionally draining, and i love when stories do that to me...
And, lastly, theres my personal elephant in the room... I kinda want Gina to smooch Fuuko. Now,for the record, i love Fuuko's romance with Andy, and i am NOT the type of shipper who wants the rival ship to be killed off for "getting in the way of OTP" - like, cmon, ITS ANFUU, THE BEST CANON SHIP IN A BATTLE MANGA EVER!
I didnt really ship Fuuko/Gina (or Andy/Fuuko/Gina for that matter) until the loop 101. At that point, i somewhat became a "Andy x Fuuko x Gina OT3 truther", but that was mostly just a joke, i had no true hopesfor it... and then FUCKING POLYAMORY was offically introduced into the story! Something that you see even less in fiction then same-sex reletionships... Like, holy shit, i dont think anything's off the table anymore.
But unfortuently, that poses a dilemna: like one of your reblogs said, idk if AnFuu would be down with going poly, but i also dont want Gina to be shipped with Sean just for the sake of pairing her off with a guy...
So, once again, let me repeat this question: What happens to Andy at the end of the story? How does he die? and how does Gina fit into all of this?
(sorry for the long ask, i hope i didnt sound like a crazy shipper at the end lol)
I'm fairly confident that Andy's death is going to be a shockingly quiet affair given how much buildup it has on the basis that the idea of him finding the "greatest" death is no longer predicated on him trying to kill himself, but achieving a sense of fulfillment
He doesn't want to die for the sake of dying anymore, he wants to die knowing that he lived a good life and left something meaningful behind. Ever since we got to see the shape of Andy's soul, I've believed wholeheartedly that Andy's death will be surrounded by the smiling and tearful faces of everyone he loves and who loves him back
It's not the flashiest death, but it is the best death that I think anyone who enjoys their life can ask for

This will sound stupid and I am sorry that I am blurting it all to you but I love your blog, posts and thoughts, so I wanted to share this. I know people hated the whole idea of trascendence but sometimes I wish Bellamy had transcended because I wonder where he ended up when he was gone and I realized it may possibly be the same place Clarke and the others will and that somehow sat uncomfortably with me.
aw, nonnie what a good question. that's something i've actually wondered about too a lot if i have tbh. i do wonder where he ended up and how he felt after he was gone and despite all the good stuff bob had said about him about the good life he's had and how much he's seen, which i can see as a point of view, i always knew i wanted a bit more for him because i just generally consider his life to be very sad, so i wanted the afterlife not to be.
i usually imagine him in a big field, something like where they first landed but instead of the dropship, there's cabins and tiny houses with smoking chimneys and i hope and what i picture is seeing monty, jasper and the rest of the 100 that he lost there.
i also really hope he could've seen his mom and dad too, gina and all of the people who hopefully appreciated him more when he was alive and who loved him and the person that he was and liked him just for that and not for existing or because they NEEDED him. i am not hating on C/larke but I really wish that she appreciated him more and that she hadn't done some stuff to him ofc the main being killing him even if I know that wasn't really her and I can personally ignore season 7. I don't know where i stand with O/ctavia ending up there either.
As a whole, what I really hope for is that whenever he ended up, he was happy and at peace and that he got to talk with his friends, have some nice moments, make amends and grow strong relationships. most of all i hope Lincoln, monty, jasper and his mom and his dad, cause i believe there had to be a father in the picture that we just didn't know anything about, were there for him. gina too, of course.
but i guess at some point c/larke and the others must've ended up there too, wherever that outer world is and if that is the case, i really want to believe that at first he was very mad at them and he stayed that way for a long time because he was always a little too fast to forgive C/larke and the only time he showed her he is angry was in 3x13 which is why i love this moment and why he has every right to tell her how he feels. every other time, he's moved on, not just because of the way she threated him (because lets admit that hasn't always been good) but also because of the way he's treated himself and his own refusal to see his self-worth.
then again of course i hope they made amends and lived a good afterlife life.
what kind of gives me peace and what i've been thinking about lately is how the three characters i think correspond to each other the most and tell the point of the story the most (i've talked about this before) are jasper, monty and bellamy and i wont elaborate on that because i already have but what kind of gives me a smile on the face is that before the three of them were gone they got just a little bit of closure, in monty's case that was the best but
jasper, he was sad and waiting for absolution, he gave his life lessons and what he got from bellamy, from the person he looked up the most to was understanding to his choice.
for monty-he got to live a peaceful life away from everything else because he understood nothing good comes otherwise, he had a family a son, he was hopefully happy.
bellamy's one good moment that i can tell before his death was seeing his mom. the one person he hurt the most, the first indirect death he actually commited, the desperation for having lover from her and having it by seeing her, by her cupping his face, most of all by her giving him the answer to his suffering-she wanted to free him of that. i know it may have been an illusion but to me it is a great moment that is very important internal-wise for bellamy and that clarke and his sister brushed off just as easily as they did his disappearance from the world but to me it spoke volumes.
now of course in none of these three cases anything is...fair, according to the world but they are the most honest and real and closest to life than any of the rest we got. for me the people who ended up on that beach, more than half of them didnt deserve to be there but they chose a peaceful life of their own and i think the idea was to imitate monty's choice except it couldnt because it lacked meaning. they couldn't procreate, they couldnt better the world, they couldn't exist with anyone else without war., they tried to make an *important* choice but it wasn't really one.
in fact bellamy's, monty's, jasper's choices made much more sense and had that much more meaning than theirs.
so yeah, that's what i think on the subject.

I've got a lot of thoughts on this finale.
starting with the length.
27 minutes? really?
I'm not asking for a 2 hour episode but cmon, at least give us something closer to 40 minutes.
next, the characters
the characters just didn't feel like themselves, especially portwell.
all season long we saw how much potential they had, how well communicated they were, how good they were at being a proper, healthy couple, and now they just can't talk to each other?
it doesn't feel like them.
portwell had arguably the best set up of all the other ships, they showed us how good they had the potential to be only to throw in a cheap plot to wrap it up? I would understand that they want some angst to make the ending all the more satisfying, but this was pathetic.
there I said it.
of all the ways to add drama in a ship, don't use the one that completely contradicts their entire development.
paired with the length of the episode, it seemed even more poorly written.
here I made a lovely, handy dandy homemade graph to represent how I see portwell's storyline:
Tumblr media
as i said before, we saw the build up being nearly perfect. they peaked during episodes 9-11 because they just had the chemistry, the communication, and the most potential to be the endgame couple.
they just got eachother.
then we get Jamie popping in for 10 seconds and erasing a lot of that, only for mediator Ashlyn to jump in and solve their problems.
then there's the "kiss".
I know that Sofia is underage and that even if she/her legal guardians consent to the kiss, the writers can still decide not to show it, but still. In my opinion, if you're not going to show the kiss, then don't bother.
there are other ways to establish a relationship that would work better in this situation. Of course if they get together they'll have to kiss sometime, but one way they could postpone it is by having Gina be a bit more reluctant to give away her first kiss like that. it could also show how accomodating EJ is.
I like to think that Gina is very meticulous when making decisions so she'll probably want to be very sure of the relationship before giving him her first kiss. perhaps she'd stick to cheek kisses until she's ready, and then she kisses him and he's surprised.
that would've been, in my opinion, a sufficient way to hold off the kiss while still wrapping up portwell until season 3 when Sofia would be 18 (assuming they get picked up for S3 this summer then start filming fall-winter. Sofia will be 18 in January).
as my friend @rtcosley (idk why it's not letting me tag them, so their page is linked) said,
"They created like 10 plots
And instead of wrapping it up
They added 4 more"
there's just so much more they could've done...it's the season finale for crying out loud.
I get that seblos already had (what I assume is) their storyline for the season, the fight and resolution. Ignoring the fact that that only lasted for 2 episodes and didn't have anything to do with what we were expecting, (i.e.the financial differences between their families, as mentioned in episode 1, the fact that everyone treats seb like he's stupid, this being carlos' first show and the drama that the stress of that caused, etc.), seblos had to purpose this episode than to stand next to eachother and be gay.
I get that they're not part of the core four or anything, but the poster for season 2 has all of them, as opposed to season 1 just being the core four.
They deserved better, just like redlyn and kowie.
redlyn's arc was pretty early in the season compared to the other ships. they had Ashlyn confessing her insecurities in episode 3, antoine stirring the pot of confusion and causing a bit of distance between them briefly, and then big red confessing his goals and plans for the future in episode 8 and for the rest of it, we just see them getting closer and more comfortable with each other and caring about each other more and more.
they had a good arc together.
but that's just it. I wanted to see them have their own arcs. but then again, this show can't seem to balance multiple storylines. I think it is possible, but not when they keep adding new characters that don't contribute anything much to the story(more on that later).
kowie's storyline is... confusing.
I really like their dynamic, how carefree and happy Kourtney gets around him, how she's remaining true to herself and managing a million and one things, plus a relationship in her own without losing herself to it all.
but the main issue I have is that the entire development was never shown.
we went from strangers, to coworkers, to friends that flirt, to lovers that text constantly and went on numerous dates (and Howie met her mother at some point). but all of that, was off screen.
it's like the writers made every episode with them in it kind of thrown in at a new stage of relationship progression and said "here, accept this, no questions asked because we don't have answers"
I just wish we could've seen more of howie trying to get in her good side again after episode 7 because it seems like that's when a lot of it happened.
I appreciate the Rini scene in this episode, seems to be the very end of them, for good this time.
i'm happy about that.
Ricky especially deserves to be free for a while to focus on his development, and Nini has the chance now to really shine through her talents and make a name for herself.
The Rini storyline is the only one I'm fully satisfied with.
now, that being said;
what the heck are they trying to pull with Lily and Ricky rn???
just like that.
after lily being the villain this whole season, they're just gonna not redeem her and then have her confess her feelings to Ricky, a guy she barely knows and only talked to to harass and intimidate, and for him to reject her publicly then call her afterwards?
please I hope it's just to say "you dropped something, here it is and never contact me again, thanks." /hj
speaking of the villains, this season was promoted as the season of rivalry between North and East High right? so why did that plot idea only progress in about 3 out if 12 episodes?
we got Zackey Roy in there for a few episodes then he disappeared, Lily just caused Gina to stay true to her friends in episode 2 and 7 and then basically did nothing else?
this is what I mean by the new characters providing nothing to the show.
the writers can't manage having so many characters and plots at once so they start so many promising arcs, only to kick them aside later on.
we already know that the first half of the season felt like filler episodes, so I think they could've cut those down to leave room for the more important plots to take root, rather than have them pop up and get rushed at the end of the season.
all that, and they just add 4 more plots at the end of the season.
this post sounds very negative looking back...but if I'm being honest with myself, I'm just very very disappointed.
I love this show so much and I really expected better for the season finale, especially if they don't know if it's getting renewed or not.
given the IMDB ratings of this episode so far, I don't have very high expectations for the renewal, but I'm still hopeful because this show is a great thing, one of the best things that happened to me over the course of this quarantine. I've become so attached to this show, the cast and the friends I made through it, that I don't know what I would do if it just ends like this. writing these reviews and posts about this season has been so fun for me to do and thinking that this may be the very last one is a painful thought.
I'm sorry if you were expecting this post to be as light-hearted as my other posts about the episodes, I just had a lot to say about this episode in particular.
all my episode posts are tagged with "#guac's episode text blocks :)" in case you wanna read through and reminisce the simpler times🥲

Unlabeled Interview Final Part
Isabelle: And speaking of touring, like we're saying before, someone said in here, "I wish it didn't cost so much for you to share your music and voices." We could not agree more.
Zealyn: Oh yeah.
Isabelle: Wouldn't you say?
Zealyn: Absolutely. Yeah. Oh, there's so much we would be doing if it didn't cost so much, I mean yeah, I would have a music video for every single song well done, super well done.
Isabelle: Yeah.
Zealyn: Amazing live videos. I would have- I would be on tour all the time. I, oh my gosh, there's just so many things.
Isabelle: Yeah. We would probably- I'd probably be on tour all the time if touring didn't cost us so much money.
Zealyn: Yeah! Another thing that lots of people don't know is lots of the big artists, if you want to go on tour with them, we have to buy on to it. Umm...
Isabelle: Yeah.
Zealyn: And so recently, I just got an offer to buy on to this really awesome tour. I just couldn't do it. But yeah, just- everything is a pretty penny and so-
Isabelle: Everything's a pretty penny.
Zealyn: But you know hopefully, one day and I believe it will happen one day, our music will take off and we'll finally be able to make money like good money doing music and it'll come full circle at some point. So-
Isabelle: It will. It always does. I was listening to Tyler Perry on Supersoul Conversations this morning on my drive home.
Zealyn: Nice.
Isabelle: And like, same situation. I think nobody starts at the top and I think we forget that "Oh, we see all these people at the top." And it's just discouraging until you hear their stories and you realize, "Wow, they had no money either." He was talking about putting all this money into his first play and how he thought 1200 people are gonna show up. And it was at the 14th Street Playhouse in Atlanta, which I grew up in Atlanta so I know where that was. 30 people showed up.
Zealyn: Aww.
Isabelle: So he lost his car, he didn't have rent or anything and that was like, it sucked to hear that but wow, it's inspiring. And I hope that-
Zealyn: You see where he's come from.
Isabelle: Yeah. You see everything he's gone through and that we're doing the same thing and there's nothing different about it.
Zealyn: Yeah.
Isabelle: Other than not stopping, everytime we get a "no". And that's why this podcast for me is important because I don't know how many of you are watching and I know there's dancers on here and there's singers and aspiring everything but I just hope that you realize that like there's really nothing you umm... that's gonna come easily.
Zealyn: Right.
Isabelle: All the hard things are so much better when you get them.
Zealyn: Yeah. Absolutely.
Isabelle: What is your- what's an insecurity of yours that you are fighting umm... like in your day-to-day or music or just personally? That's like a big question but-
Zealyn: Well, yeah, I mean- I don't- I think that one thing that I do that I- everyone does but I do especially is umm... living in LA for 5 years now, been able to meet a lot of incredible awesome musicians and songwriters and just so many awesome people and a lot of them are doing really good. And like actually though, it's not just "social media" really good but like they're genuinely doing so well and blowing up and always busy and I think an insecurity of mine is like, comparing myself to other people. Is that right?
Isabelle: Yeah.
Zealyn: So um... I always- I'll at least have one bad night a week where I'm just get sunk into that "Aww man! That person's doing so much better than me." and that- and it's a good thing! I'm so happy for my friends like, "Wow, she got that?" "She got that?"
Isabelle: You're not alone.
Zealyn: Yeah!
Isabelle: Everybody feels that way in life.
Zealyn: And that's why- but I think that's something that I struggle with, it's just not- I just need to stop comparing myself. Everyone's started from somewhere, everyone's path is different like it's okay if it's taking longer or, whatever.
Isabelle: Yeah, yeah. I know, but that's umm... it's really great that you said when you're really honest. Because when I look at you, I don't see that you are insecure about that at all because you're so like, in your own lane to me. But it goes to show that we are all the same in that way.
Zealyn: Yeah. Totally.
Isabelle: Those insecurities never go away no matter- even if you were probably a little more successful, you'd probably see the best above you.
Zealyn: People were doing even better right *laughs* for sure.
Isabelle: Umm... Tammy asked about social media handles, so we're just gonna plug this in real quick.
Zealyn: Oh!
Isabelle: So she's @zealyn on Instagram, and @zealynmusic on Facebook.
Zealyn: It's Z-E-A-L- Oh there it is, you can see it. Aww, wow!
Isabelle: Z-E-A-L-Y-N.
Zealyn: You're so well prepared!
Isabelle: I know, it's just me, it's all me, I don't want anyone helping me out. Umm... and then, do her a favor and go if you guys have Apple Music, Spotify, go follow her. It's the same spelling and just like actually click the follow button and like put all her songs on your playlists and actually listen to them. Don't put them on a playlist because I said so, but actually listen because all those little things help us kind of get our music heard and everything like that.
Zealyn: Totally. Yeah.
Isabelle: Umm... I had a question for you- Oh, somebody asked... I'm trying to get through comments- Hailey asked, "What's LA like?" *laughs* That's such a loaded question.
Zealyn: It is. Well, I don't know, yeah. So, I love LA, first of all, I'll start there.
Isabelle: Yeah.
Zealyn: There's nowhere else I'd rather live. I genuinely love this city, it is motivating, pushes you to do better, everyone is going hard like everyone's pushing themselves to be better than they were the day before. So that's the good thing about it. The bad thing about it is that everyone's pushing them-! *Both laugh* Everyone's doing so well, everyone is hustling and I think that's when you also get stuck in a trap of, "Wow, they're going out every week to shows and networking and I only go out once a week. Oh boy, maybe I should be networking more or-" you know, there's just- every stupid little detail, it gets in your head and umm... yeah.
Isabelle: Just don't- I don't wanna discourage everyone for coming out here but if you're gonna come out here, just know that you will be very lucky if you have instant success. I hope that you do, I really do hope that everyone can do that.
Zealyn: Yeah.
Isabelle: But if you don't have instant success, you definitely have to look deeper into the other wonderful positive things happening that may not be exactly what you asked for or wanted but those are the things that you hold onto in order to stay out here because a lot of people don't last in LA because they think, "I'll give it a year and things would go well!" It sometimes happens but a lot of times it doesn't.
Zealyn: Yeah.
Isabelle: And then it's discouraging and you're like, "Well, I'm just gonna go home." but you know, don't do that like wherever you go or if you go away to college or umm... you go to a new city like give it time. Even when I went to college and I went away from the first time, it was the hardest thing ever. I called my mother everyday like, "WHY'D YOU SENT ME AWAY? Why'd you sent me here?" and then, I was so fulfilled and happy. Ultimately, that's what made me such an independent person. And moving to LA too, there were days when I first moved to LA... I was alone, I had a couple friends from college that were here, I went through such bad depression. It's the type of depression where you wake up in the morning, and you don't have anything you need to do, or that needs your attention. And you slept for like 11 hours, and you still- you wake up like exhausted, and you napped throughout the day not because you're tired, it's literally just you're so depressed because you're numb, you don't know what to do.
Zealyn: Yeah.
Isabelle: And guess what? Those things past, and they move away and the positive things come back and they slip in and then you're gonna slip back out of it. Right?
Zealyn: Yeah. And LA really is one of those places that you can't come to L- you can't visit LA for two weeks and expect to see LA and get a sense of the city in two weeks. It's impossible. It takes- LA is massive okay? I think people always think of LA like Downtown LA, like just the little downtown area, n-no. LA is huge, you can drive a whole hour and a half and still be in LA. So, it really truly takes like.... to me, it took a year. For me, it took a whole year to understand like, where everything is, where do I actually want to live, and it takes so long. Umm...
Isabelle: Yeah. It takes so long. I just feel settled now. I've been in here like 5-
Zealyn: I think I truly felt settled like- like I wanna live here forever after 3 years like it literally took 3 years. And I think at that point I was like, "I'm never leaving. I wanna stay as long as I can." Yeah.
Isabelle: I love it here too. So Gina just asked, "Are you going to Nashville?" I would love for you to answer that and tell us the cities you'll be touring in.
Zealyn: Absolutely.
Isabelle: If you remember them all.
Zealyn: Yes! I'll try.
Isabelle: Okay.
Zealyn: Uhh yes. I will be in Nashville, that show actually is announced already, tickets are at zealyn.co
Isabelle: Yeah, all the seats(?) are there.
Zealyn: Yeah, umm... But I mean, I could list them off, yeah. There's actually- I don't know, yeah so it's Minneapolis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Nashville, Atlanta; Beverly, Massachusetts which is my hometown, New York, DC, Philly, Pittsburgh... so that's all everything on the East Coast. West Coast is still like completely being figured out.
Isabelle: Okay yeah. Yeah, it takes time.
Zealyn: It looks like Seattle, Portland, Redding, San Francisco, LA, San Diego.
Isabelle: Uhh, can I open for you now? *both started laughing*
Zealyn: The West Coast one? Oh my goodness.
Isabelle: That's amazing!
Zealyn: Yeah that one's still like- we don't have the venues locked in or anyth- or the dates or anything.
Isabelle: Okay.
Zealyn: But it's August-ish.
Isabelle: August-ish, okay.
Zealyn: Yeah.
Isabelle: Well, if you wanna hear all the dates, go to zealyn.co, that's just "co" not ".com", just "co". And all the dates are up there, all the info about her. She's- like I said, an incredible artist.
Zealyn: Thank you.
Isabelle: Go listen to her music and just support her and I'm really glad that you asked all these questions, I'll be answering all these questions when we're done.
Zealyn: Yeah. Such awesome fans! There's so many questions coming in.
Isabelle: Yeah, they're pretty incredible, I'm lucky I am so lucky that you all show up every week or every other week.
Zealyn: Yeah, that's amazing.
Isabelle: But, Unlabeled the podcast, episode 5, will be uhh... 2 weeks, April 7th, check it out. This podcast you're listening to right now will be up on Tuesday and yeah. Zealyn, thank you for coming, go follow her at Zealyn on Instagram and uhh-
Zealyn: Thanks for having me. You're the best.
Isabelle: You're welcome. I'm honored. I love you, thanks for being here.
Zealyn: Me too. Thanks.
Isabelle: Adios, everybody! *both waved at the camera*
Zealyn: Oh, did it end already? Bye!

Power Styles - Chapter Fourteen : The launch
I quickly turn off my alarm as Hobi is still fast asleep beside me. I gently leave my bedroom, letting him have a lay-in.
I check my phone while I'm waiting for my coffee to pour, and have a text from Jin.
« Hey Gina, just a bit worried is Hobi with you?»
I type « Hey Jin, yeah sorry he slept here, I didn't want to let him leave, he was a bit drunk and sad. »
The warm smell of coffee fills up my nose as I walk to the couch. I take a look at social media while I drink my coffee, and the first thing I see everywhere is articles about Namjoon's new hair color. Ughh, give me a break, I just woke up. Jin answers at the perfect time, just before I was starting to get angry again.
« Oh okay, thanks Gina. »
I don't have time to reply because a second text pops up on my screen.
« I've been meaning to ask.. Would you like to have dinner sometime? 🥺 »
I smile as butterflies invade my stomach.
« I would love too Jin 😌»
I open my computer to start working. My team has already started so I get updated on what has been done, and start editing the video clip. I prefer to do it by myself, so everything is perfect.
I decide to put on some music to not work in silence and figure I should get to know BTS before tour. I put on a random playlist and get back into working.
About an hour into editing, I start vibing to a bouncy song. It's so good that I actually start dancing in my living room.
I hear a laugh behind me, making me turn around and go red when I see Hobi.
« How long have you been there? » I shyly ask
« Not too long » He says « But long enough to see you vibing on RM's solo. »
Oh fuck. « Um I didn't know.. Coffee ?» I'm trying to divert the conversation.
« Yes please. » We head to the kitchen. « You don't have to be embarrassed, it's a good song. And it's healthy to have dance sessions. »
He smiles at me, presses play and turns the volume up.
Namjoon's voice fills up my apartment while Hobi starts jumping around, screaming the lyrics.
« I LIVE SO I LOVE! I LIVE SO I LOVE! LIVE AND LOVE, LIVE AND LOVE! IF IT'S LOVE I WILL LOVE YOU!»
« You should take that advice » I tell him.
« FIRST LET ME VIBE! »
I look at him dancing around my living room. First of all, wow, he's an amazing dancer. Secondly, he's so cute. He looks so happy in this moment, I can't help but smile at him. I must look like a proud mom.
He falls down on the couch when the song is over. I join him soon after with his cup of coffee. He grabs it from my hands as soon as I hand it to him.
« Did you sleep okay? » I ask him.
« Yes, thank you again. I really needed it. » He looks at me gratefully.
« Anytime. » I smile back at him. « Did you think about our talk? »
« Yes I did. » I look at him anticipatedly. « I'm going to tell him. »
« Oh Hobi that's amazing! » I pull him into my arms. « Just know that whatever you need, I'll be here to support you. »
« Brilliant, because I was thinking of a grand gesture. »
« How so? » I'm intrigued.
« Well we have the dinner on Monday and I was thinking a speech? So then the boys would know too. He's already out, so he wouldn't mind. »
« That would be epic. »
I get back to work soon after, and Hobi just stays with me all day, asking me questions about the editing. I eventually close my computer around 6pm.
« Right, that's enough for today. » I'm actually surprised, I got a lot done today and will only need to add finishing touches tomorrow. «What are we doing tonight? »
« Dinner and drinks? My treat. »Hobi says. I nod back, it's exactly what I need.
« Brilliant. Let me go back home to get ready and I'll pick you up at 8. »
« Perfect! » I say
I start getting ready as soon as he leaves. I take a long shower, allowing the water to rinse all the tensions away. I tie my hair up in a tight bun, put on my makeup and head towards my wardrobe. I feel good tonight, so I pick a nice outfit to match my mood.
Tumblr media
My phone bings as I'm about to put my clothes on. It's a text from Hobi.
« Hey, I should be here in 30 minutes. Quick question, is it okay if Jin tags along? »
« Absolutely! » I text back, and think about how my outfit is a perfect fit for tonight.
Hobi calls me just as I'm putting my coat on. I quickly leave my apartment to join him and Jin in the black SUV.
« Wow Gina, you look amazing! » Hobi says
« Why do you sound surprised? » I tease him, and look over to Jin, who is just staring at me. « Hey Jin. »
He snaps back into reality « Um, hi Gina, how are you? »
« Good, thank you. » I'm amused by his first reaction, but he hasn't seen my outfit yet. This is going to be fun.
We arrive at barbecue restaurant in Gangnam. Jin, as a true gentleman, opens the door for us. A waitress brings us to our table, and I wait for the perfect moment to take off my coat. Jin's eyes almost pop out of his head. Mission accomplished.
« Oh wow. » Are they only 2 words that he can manage to say.
I act as if I didn't notice how he's looking at me. I sit down and start looking at the menu, feeling his gaze on me.
We decide to order a bit of everything and just share. We also order a nice bottle of red wine and some soju.
We start eating and drinking and talking. At first we talk about work, but as the drinks kick into our systems, the conversation drifts to nonsense. All of a sudden Hobi stands up.
« LOOK WHO'S HEEEEERE! » His glass is held up high towards the other side of the room. « TAE-TAE AND KOOKIE! » I giggle at the knicknames, turning my head to notice them coming towards us.
« Hey guys, what's up? » Kook says.
« Eating, drinking, talking, all that, you know?» Jin answers.
« Come have a drink with us! » Hobi tells them.
They sit down after a few minutes of us practically begging them to join us. They're both a bit tipsy but definitely not on our level. We take it upon ourselves to get them in the same state as us by starting a drinking game. They quickly catch up on us, causing general hysteria at our table.
We start sobering up after a while.
« Right, we're going to go. » Tae says, looking intensily at Kook.
« Sure thing. » Kook smiles back at Tae, almost blushing.
We all decide to leave and end up on the street to say goodbye.
Tae and Kook hop into a car, that soon disappears into the night. They seemed to be in a hurry.
« Come on let's go. Gina we're bringing you home. » Jin says, and I don't interject ; I'm still quite drunk.
I stare out the window the whole way back, seeing the city lights go past us. Seoul truly is beautiful at night, with all the signs lighting up the streets.
Hobi has fallen asleep by the time we arrive at my building. Jin helps me get out of the car and into my building.
He's holding me in his arms while we're on the lift. I can feel myself almost falling asleep leaning on him, his heartbeat sending soothing rushes through my body.
He takes my keys out of my hands after seeing the way I'm struggling to open my door.
« Are you good from here? » He asks.
« S-sure. » I stutter and trip at the same time.
« Right, let's get you to bed. »
He carries me into my room and lies me in my bed. His arms feel so good around my body.
« Will you manage to take off your clothes or do you need help? »
I simply groan, indicating him to help me. He gets to the top, and takes it off as I realize I'm not wearing a bra. I'm too tired to care, but he pauses for too long. I move under my covers to break the awkwardness. He walks up to tuck me in.
« Goodnight Gina. » He whispers. He kisses my forehead softly but I can feel the lust in his lips pressed on my skin.
I barely hear the door close, already lost in my dreams.
I have a hard time remembering where I am when I wake up, and how I ended up in my underwear. Flashbacks from last night come streaming in my head. Wow, I was really drunk.
I pull myself out of bed, throw a robe on and head straight to my coffee machine.
I sit on my couch with my warm mug, staring through the window, slowly waking up.
A text alert brings me back to earth
« How are you feeling today? » It's Jin. He's so thoughtful.
« A bit drowsy but okay. Thanks for last night, and sorry if I made you uncomfortable.. »
« Well I couldn't leave you like that by yourself.» A second text comes in straight after. « Uncomfortable wouldn't be the feeling. »
I giggle at his text before typing a reply. «Might I know what it was then? 🙄»
« I'd rather not tell you 😏»
I smile. I know exactly what the feeling was, I'm feeling it right now.
I force myself to snap out of it, I have work to do.
I open up my computer and start working on the video once again.
The day goes by as I finish the campaign. My team is also working really hard and we end up finishing everything before schedule.
I decide to text the boys.
« Hey guys! So quick update on the campaign : everything is edited and almost ready for the launch tomorrow. Get ready, it's going to be everywhere at 12. »
I put my phone down and head to the shower. I hear the notifications go wild. I pick it up as soon as I step out.
Hobi : I CAN'T WAIIIIIT 🤗
Kook : Yay! Thanks for your hard work Gina
Yoongi : Thanks for your update !
Jin : Brilliant!
As usual, Jimin didn't answer but strangely Namjoon did. And it wasn't a mean answer either. It reads « Very well, could you keep us updated tomorrow too? »
What? He's asking for news?
« Sure no problem » I answer.
I look at the time and decide to head to bed. I haven't slept a lot this weekend and I need to be in good shape tomorrow.
The next day, I get ready for work and stop once again for coffee and food for everyone.
We have quite a chill morning, since everything was done this weekend. We're just going over a few details, and even have time to talk about the tour.
We all gather in the conference room at 12 to see the official campaign. M. Yi joins us too.
The countdown starts on the screen and there it is. My team and I watch the final product of our hard work being sent out to the world. We're very proud of it. We put every effort into it in such a short time.
M. Yi starts clapping and we all join in.
We pop some champagne and stay there for a bit before I send my team away. I was able to get them the next two days of since I took up their weekend.
« You did well Ms Douglas. » M. Yi is now standing beside me.
« Thank you, sir. I promise the tour will be better, I'll have more time to be prepared. »
« Better than you pulled off here would be phenomenal. I made the right decision hiring you 3 years ago. »
« I'm very grateful sir. »
He proceeds to leave the room as my phone starts blowing up. It's the group. They're all congratulating me (almost all of them) and telling me how much they love it. I also notice a private text from Jin.
« Come downstairs. »
I gather my stuff with butterflies in my stomach and head to the elevator.
When I walk out, I see Jin standing there with a huge bouquet in his hands.
« Congratulations Gina. »
« Oh my God, Jin! Thank you so much they're beautiful! » I truly am surprised. « What are you doing here? »
« I thought we could spend the day together before heading to Tae's what do you think? »
« I'd love that. »
We leave the building side by side, my arm hooked around his, while feeling my colleagues' stares on us.
