I feel like Hawkeye is kinda keeping an eye on everyone else’s health and mood at all times (both because Doctor Mode ™ never completely turns off—especially not in a warzone—and because he’s gotten used to no one noticing when he’s not doing well, but he doesn’t want anyone else to feel that way.
-This means he’s usually one of the first people to realize if someone in camp is sick, and he usually dotes by their bedside until they’re over the worst of it. (If he’s not close with the person—read: it’s Charles or Frank—fluids and cold compresses and tissues usually show up next to their cot anyway just because he can’t leave a sick person in need.)
-He definitely sat up with Radar every time the kid wasn’t feeling well (and probably was used as a human pillow when the kid finally passed out.)
-(He’s definitely been used as a human pillow when BJ gets sick. The man clings if he’s got a fever.)
-The Mother Hen Instinct ™ is up to eleven after the war, because he dotes on Erin—and all the kids in her friend group, and any future Punnihawk babies that may exist—when any of them are sick. (I’m debating whether or not I’m gonna watch the finale when the time comes, but I already know That One Event is too tragic for me to acknowledge, so in my hcs it’s just because the man is made to be a dad.)
-Tiny!Erin wakes up with a sore throat, and he’s already got warm Jello water for her to drink (this actually works, thank you Hack My Life) so they can keep her hydrated. (Punnihawk has probably been keeping an eye on her for a few days at that point because it’s obvious something’s brewing.)

ogh love how cute these are - Carry On Hawkeye is such a fun episode to me because of how Hawkeye has to kind of balance the line between 'getting everything done all by himself' efficiency and his impulse to still sit around and check on Trapper to make sure he's doing alright lol
