tragedy of finally managing to get secrets of atlantis: the sacred legacy (2006) to work on my windows 10 laptop, getting my hopes up of maybe being able to install other old games our family has, only to pick 4 games that refuse to work with the solution i figured out for soa :( i even got dosbox and tried that, but i think dosbox was intended for pirated/downloaded from online games rather than From the Actual CD

#whatsupray?#we have a boxful of old cd games #windows 95 windows xp and windows 7 ones #i had to boot up our old windows xp laptop to figure out how to fix soa #cause it runs on that laptop #problem is that laptop is INSANELY old and if the power cord twitches it will DIE #i did play the entirety of soa on there like 5 years ago tho. managed it #it would freeze every 15 minutes or so and id have to reboot the game #anyways yeah i dont actually know how to run soa on my laptop (?) as confusing as that may sound #like i have run the game no short of 3 times. it's possible #but either it just takes like 10 minutes to actually boot up or in the wait while im messing with the files trying to get it to boot up #i click smth and it makes it go 'oh wait we're supposed to be doing smth'#guess ill figure out which it is at some point
