Yesterday I met this guy at my friend's birthday party, and he was talking at first to my twin sister but then later on I was chatting with him and he said "wait, you look younger than her."

And I was like "wait, do you know how old we are?"

"No."

"How old do you think I am?"

And he paused for a minute. Knowing I have a sister there who is my age which gives him not one but two observations to guess based on.

"18."

And I was AGHAST because I'm 23. I also don't think he could've thought I was a minor because there weren't any there but I did laugh because he still guessed as low as he could reasonably estimate, and I still get mistaken for a teenager all the time.

But then he guessed "how old do you think I am?"

And I was like "oh I really don't know. I don't know. I never know. I have no idea."

"Just guess. Guess something."

"Uh... uh... twenty... eight?"

"WOW. I'm not even old enough DRINK."

He turns 21 next week.

Man idk what to say. We both assumed you were older than me at least.

I CAN JUST NEVER TELL HOW OLD MEN ARE #i get men vastly wrong all the time. id blame facial hair but this guy had none.#i blame OTHER men w facial hair for me not knowing what 21 looks like. yeah sure that works.#i thought this guy was 10 years older than he thought i was. lmao #someone get that 28-year-old away from the teenager #i had only spoken w him for a couple of minutes then too. after spending more time w him im like yeah he's def not older than me #you know how you can tell relative age by like voices and small stuff like that i guess? yeah #men you guys should just all be older than me to make things easier #i really really can't tell anyone's age #i admit to that tho!
