I haven't talked abt it a whole lot but I made a blanket for my grandma for Christmas! I started in April (when I taught myself to make a granny square) and finished weaving the ends in 4 days before Christmas lol

I had initially planned to spell out my grandma's full name in binary (0=white and 1=blue), but around August I truly realised how hard that would be. In the end, I did 62 rounds instead of the planned 120. The completed blanket was about 160 square cm, and weighed 1.45kg. It was made of 100% cotton and I made it on a 3mm crochet hook. The blanket covered most of my double bed by the time it was close to done. I never actually used it as a blanket (bc it was a gift! How could I!) But it felt satisfyingly heavy in my lap when I was making it :)

I'm pretty sad I don't have any better photos of the blanket, but I did have the best phone camera around when I took the pics after we finally washed the thing!

My mum also asked me for coasters made in the blanket's colours for her birthday. I haven't included photos but they were just 4 round granny squares in the colours of the blanket I made for my mum's mum (as requested).
